I am 5wks when i go to see dr on mon..which is a bit weird..lol

Bella23 · 16/04/2005 14:30

Afternoon all ladies, busy sanding banisters...lord what a crap DIY job!
Wendy - absolutely on track for marathon bd sessin next week. Persona has started asking me to POAS so at leat that helps with the obsession!
Will start smiley opks on Monday as well.
DQ & Nemo - arh nice to see you both still with us.
Cadmum - no OPKs - how do you manage every day with nothing to wee on?
Right - back to the grindstone....

romilly · 16/04/2005 15:50

teuch - thks for info. i'd assumed decaff was ok in small quantities but mr.rom always tells me its put through some process that uses the same chemicals as dry-cleaning fluids (gross eh?!) so maybe i should just quit the cappucinos altogether - go cold turkey

by the way you never mentioned how old you were teuch, not letting you off that lightly, LOL - you cant be older than me

hi DQ and Nemo - it is SOOOO nice to have you with us still, we need you guys here. DQ - you tested first on 10dpo didnt you? how about you nemo? i'm on 11DPO today [[[[[yikes]]]]]] not testing yet, mr. rom is abroad - back monday - hoping to hold out until then. hereshoping and teuch - i am working hard on those orders for us.

cadmum - no opks yet??? you are a cool customer!!!

bella - wendy - happy POAS'ing girls!

george - stop poking

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 16/04/2005 15:53

hi rom first post test was around 7dpo but dh said there was nothing there but i could see it..then got pos on 13dpo that he agreed he could see. Clearblue digi showed at 14dpo.

romilly · 16/04/2005 15:57

oooh nemo - 7 dpo! mind you, you seemed to know from about 2 dpo. not surprised after your marathon bd'ing frankly! wonder if you'll be given the dreaded "emma's diary" preggo book at your gp. appt. on monday, LOL!

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 16/04/2005 15:59

lol rom prob not as my gp doesnt do anything she just takes ur info then says ok see mw in x weeks..lol

munz · 16/04/2005 16:44

nemo what test was it u did for 7dpo?

good news as well, DH is home early hours of monday morning provided his flights etc are all on schecdual so i'm hoping the RAF r not as unorganised as the army! lol. yay that's like a whole extra morning of BD! ooh getting excited now! CD10 here and nothing to add, did my POAS this morning thou, am on a red day (would've worried if I wasn't! ) lol. ooh so happy he'sd coming home! except bloody washers broken - seems to only be a filter (thanks to the nice ppl on here helping me out) so I might have a loko, (or I suspect will be safer for DH to have a look otherwise i'll end up in 10 gallons of water and no house! ) at least I can ster him in the right direction thou. (after the bed room of course!)

romilly · 16/04/2005 19:11

munzie you must be so excited! how long has he been away for? i am missing mr.rom and he's only away 4 days LOL. i think nemo had some super-sensitive ultra early pg. tests (acon? - that detect 10 mil HCG) just checked my ones which are "on call" but only detect 25 mil. DQ are those the same as yours?

OP posts:
munz · 16/04/2005 19:18

rom - yes I am, well and also really really nervous incase something goes wrong whilst he's travelling back, so i'll be glued to the TV for the next two day with sky news on, althou he reassures me that if anything (heven forbid) did happen to him i'd know b4 the press so at least that's soemthing, we'll just cross our fingers and hope. he's been gone for 6 months in total (came home for 2 weeks at the end of jan thou) which was nice. bit worried as well about living with someone after so long, but i'm sure we'll muddle thru it again.

I've looked at my stash of tests and have 2 on call ones, (mid stream) and one cassett one a diagnostic one - thats the one where u feel like a mad scientis with ur pipet! lol, will look on ebay just in case, 3 might not be enough cos knowing me i'll test early, and then I won't believe it, best to be ready lets look on ebay.

romilly · 16/04/2005 19:27

hope he's cancelled his lads nite out for u

something tells me we wont be seeing much of you next week then munz

OP posts:
munz · 16/04/2005 19:36

nope he's not cancelled it, althou with him coming home earlier means we're toegther all day monday tues night (both have to work during the day) weds avo till about 7.30 ish then for 12 days starting on the thursday, then I'm back at work so not too worried about ti, will be thou if he comes in from the pub so pissed he can't come to the DR's with me, all in all thou I think we should be able to get a lot of BD in! lol. (at least twice a day!)

Nemo1977 · 16/04/2005 20:53

aww munz im glad ur dh is coming home to u..bless ya both

I used the acon tests that find from 10 units hcg as rom said. They were from ebay and about £3 ish with free postage for 3

munz · 17/04/2005 08:55

I've bought 5 form ebay ment to be the 10mg ones midstream thouso they cost a bit more. £5.95 for 5. u cna start testing from 7DPO did u know u can get tests where u can find out from 3DPO? don't think i'd like that.

well tomorrows the big day, i'm worried and nervous. hoping everyhting goes well, no news is good news and all. still no way of contacting each other now we just have to hope and wait. then i'll be in the 2ww and bugging u girls with all my symptoms.

OP posts:
munz · 17/04/2005 13:42

afternoon all, just been to asda and I must say am disapointed, our asda at home used to be excellent but the new one open here is so small u can't swing a cat, and not to mention all the bread/ fruit/ fresh stuff is due to go out of date in a few days - what good is that? think i'll be sticking to my tesco's they're a lot better and at least the dates are better.

no word from DH yet, I know he's not going to the capital anymore so that's a plus. hopefully all will go smoothly, i'll be a lot happier when he's in the UK thou, it's hard to expalin really, when he's here/there i'm ok cos i know he's relitivly safe but travelling is a bit dangerous. still we'll sit tight and hope.

as he's due home early hours we can get more BD in! lol, althou I suspect he'll be knackered - ho humm never mind I want a baby!!

wendy11 · 17/04/2005 14:49

Munz - only one more sleep to go. Bet you are getting excited at the prospect of having DH home again. He is going to be exhausted when he gets home form all the travelling but I bet he won't be half as exhausted as he is going to be when you have finshed with him

Rom - really impressed with your will of steel to not test. Anything symptom wise to report?

Nothing much to report here. Dreadful day weather wise - gales and torrential rain since early this morning so looks like an afternoon snuggled up in front of the TV. Oh and no OPK yet so just have to keep testing but BDing just in case !!

Bella23 · 17/04/2005 18:19

Afternoon all ladies, just got back from watching a couple of friends run the marathon - nutters that they are. Was really good, everybody in such a great mood.
Rom - lord so near tp testing, nail biting stuff. So tuesday is D day?
Munz - ar Dh is home tomorrow ..ye ha !![grin}
wendy - this is our week.....lets get all the bding in we can !!!
Nemo - how are you feeling?

Well nothing much to report, off for a nice bath...

romilly · 17/04/2005 18:24

wendy - it is not so much will of steel as head in sand

{{{{{{{{chicken}}}}}}}}}} emoticon

i will try and imagine some symptoms for you!
keep up the just-in-case-bding - u never know

munzzzzzzzzie - early night for you my dear

OP posts:
romilly · 17/04/2005 18:25

hi bella, missed u there - have a nice bath!

OP posts:
Cadmum · 17/04/2005 18:43

Hello all!
Am having a teary week-end. DH's btother is expecting a December baby. This will be their fifth and they are less than pleased.
Can't believe that SIL (to make it less complicated) called me to complain about having fallen by accident. I lent her our copy of Taking Charge of your Fertility and she told me that she read it cover to cover so she 'knew that it was risky' but she is upset about being pregnant. Why, oh why did she choose me to share all of this information with? Sorry for the rant.
I am feeling so blue but I know that it is not rational or logical. There is no finite number of babies available and somebody else's success/failure has no bearing on my situation but I am still miserable. I found it especially unbearable to think that she is already planning the perfect birth and if it was me with the BFP I would be dreading the worst case scenario. I am sure that you all know what I mean.

munz · 17/04/2005 19:20

cad mum (((hugs))) some ppl can be so insensitive (i'm assuming she knows ur ttc?)

rom - got u have more will power than me! lol, don't know about an early night, doubt i'll really sleep anyhow as i'll be listening out for the phone incase soemthing happens, will post more tomorrow to let u know, althou my hosue has never been so clean and tidy i'm trying to keep occupied althou val kilmers in leather on sky movies!

bella/wend all BD for us three then this week!

any more testers coming up?

wendy11 · 17/04/2005 19:33

Cadmum - (((((HUGS))))). I can realate to how you are feeling. I am dreading the day DH's sister or brother announce impending parenthood. I am not a jealous person by nature but I have a feeling it will be difficult to be delighted for them when it happens, especially if we are still ttc so desperately. Keep your spirits up and who knows it may not be long before you have good news of your own to share around.

Just purchased a book online about Acupuncture and IVF - studies show that acupuncture can increase the rates of success of IVF by 40-60%. Seems excessive but clinging to any hope at this stage. Will reserve judgement until I have read the book but think I might try to find an acupuncture clinic that specialises in fertility treatment. Book buying seems to be taking over from gadget buying.

DH is getting a bit worried by each package that arrives on the doorstep and won't fit in the letter box. He just wonders what on earth I have ordered now to aid our ttc antics. Should really tell him that some of them are from Suttons Seeds and contain nothing more that a few plants. He will probably think they are some sort of herb that I am going to boil up and feed to him in an effort to reach that 6 times in 48 hours target Don't think he has fully recovered from that one yet!!

Bella - enjoy your soak in the bath. Busy week ahead

Rom - come on your not a chicken. They are horrible feathery things that cluck and peck at you and I know you must be a lovely person to be working so hard on those orders for us

Hulababy · 17/04/2005 20:28

Hi all, can I join?

Been on the TTC threads (9 to now), along with munz and others. Our TTC 21 seems very quiet right now.

My stats are:

My age: 32; DH's age 31
TTC #2; DD is 3yo (just)
Cycle 8, CD17
I normally OV around CD17/18, and cycle length between 28-30 days (has been as long as 33 days though)
DD took a fair while to concieve (15 months, then an early mc, and then another 14-15 months)
I have temped for first 5 months, then used OPKs last 2 months too., and this month. Also do the old CM monoiitoring.

Is that everything?

romilly · 17/04/2005 21:07

welcome hulababy - this thread is usually anything but quiet (slows down a little at wknds) so you have come to the right place. nice to have you with us, and will put your order in

cadmum - SIL sounds a little insensitive to say the least, poor you. cheer up - will be your turn soon. found the smiley opks yet?

wendy - i've heard many good things about acupuncture and ttc - i'd say go for it.

back to the order book, got some VIP orders this week
