Helloooooooooo
George - arh bless suprising DH with a painted room. Mine is the other way round, when I first went back to his flat after our first date we fell into the hallway where I discovered it was painted 2 shades of lilac....first thought was "oh god he's gay" as the colour was that girlie. The rest of the flat was loads of colours - blue kitchen, green bedroom, brown bathroom with the finale being a bright yellow and orange lounge...YUK! When we bought our first place togther I was so anti colour after living in his flat that its taken me about 4 years to recover and actually want to paint a splash of colour on a wall!
DQ - ooh lady I am so with you on the early scan front. Don't forget men are the eternal "it will all be fine" brigade.....
Diddle - I found after my m/c that my AF came after 4 weeks so 2 weeks seems a little too soon. The waiting is horrible isn't it, just hang in there.
Wendy - LOL at the prospect of you flicking through the yellow pages for a reflexology person! Where do you live? Anywhere near me?
Imagine if I get a BFP this month, everyone will be on trains, planes and automobiles trying to see my lady !!! well.......can hope and dream!
Wendy - emergency with George - think she needs the recovery position...well maybe a plaster and a cup of tea with a digestive to dunk

Lord I'm a chatty old thing today, feel very zingy still from last night...either that or the DTs are really kicking in from the lack of alcohol in my system.......

yingers74 · 15/04/2005 12:45

Love and hugs all round xxxxx

munz · 15/04/2005 13:17

ok bella - rom take my prev order and add it onto the pile please!

george - you sound much the same as me! when DH first went away I repainted the whole house apart from the kitchen and it's a 3 bed, poor little love took him a while to get used to it when he came back! tyhen u just get used to it - after all I can drool over will smith and no one bothers! OMG have u seen him in Bad boys 2?

sorry about earlier posts my computer was all funny - again!

romilly · 15/04/2005 13:25

hey yingers - great to see you - thanks for looking in on us! sticky dust particles to you and hope the sickness eases off a bit.

bella - reflexology sounds good. i can usually get that same head rush effect if i lie down after some of our extra large glasses of wine, LOL

george - STOP prodding them you've got me doing it incessantly now, baaa aaaa

DQ - LOL @ double-boob syndrome, hmmm - bring it on - is what mr. rom would say

hey cadmum - time difference is a bummer but glad you are keeping up with us

question for you all: is decaff as bad for you as coffee when ttc - just read a scary comment in a book that said lay off both? anyone else HAVE to have their lattes in the morning?

teuch · 15/04/2005 13:53

Romilly - hugely tempted to test tomorrow morning with FRE but then don't want to do that whole 'BFN...I tested too early...try again on Monday' thing where then you are in total limbo!

What about you?
Teuch

yellowbear · 15/04/2005 14:07

Afternon ladies,

I am holding out on testing long as I can - no idea when I will cave in though not got much willpower, but I also don't know how I will cope with another disappointment. TTC is soooo hard.

Diddle I didn't get a AF for 10 weeks after my 2nd m/c but I think it's different for everyone.

wendy11 · 15/04/2005 14:08

George - OK now trained to deal with cuts, severe and minor, faints, broken bones and now going back to heart attacks, strokes and CPR. Cut finger definitley requires cup of tea and large bar of dairy milk - improvement in condition should be instant

Bella - unfortunately I am on the other side of the Irish Sea so would need to use all forms of transport to reach your reflexologist!!

Got to go or I am going to get my head in my hands for being late back to this training twice in the one day

dramaqueen72 · 15/04/2005 14:23

hey ladies, just checking in. feeling crap and abit low (i know i know like what do I have to feel low about!)YINGERS oh, lovely to see you, hows it going there? how many weeks now? m/s is sucha good sign that alls well (altho can you remind me i said that in a few weeks please...)
wenyd how are you doing? I did a first aid for my work once. I cant remember most of it, which is a shame, hows your CPR going?i do like your remedy for cut fingers, got anything for feeling abit crap, bloated and dizzy?
yellowbear, the whole holding out for a test is new to me so very good luck to you!

teuch · 15/04/2005 14:27

re; decaf...

I have been drinking decaf LOADS instead of coffee! I am off to search the net and will report back.

Not likely to get much work done today...

romilly · 15/04/2005 15:13

teuch - thks for doing research - let me know

OP posts:
Bella23 · 15/04/2005 15:29

DQ - feeling a bit down?? Listen lady, have a good talking to those hormones will you as I want you to be walking on air for at least a week at least! I know what you mean though, it seems that one worry is just replaced with another worry straight after, its all about little steps isn't it.....
Decaf? Erm, I reckon as long as its only one a day Rom I reckon it can't do that much harm....what do they alwasy say, a little of what you fancy etc...
Yellowbear,Teuch & Rom - ooh more testing to come .......try and hold out for as long as possible but if you can't then share the madness on here at least
Wendy - looks like we are the laggers behind with us entering BDing next week. Lets hope slow and steady wins the race eh?

teuch · 15/04/2005 15:44

hullo,

well, most of the sites recommend that you move to decaf whilst bearing in mind that it still has some caffeine in it (so does chocolate though! Jeez!).

One study did find that a higher proportion of women drinking decaf in early pg m/c but they don't think it was a direct link - they reckon that the p/g was unviable anyway so they were more likely to have m/s thus drinking more coffee!

something like that anyway...

Anyhoo - I am off on Monday (when AF should be due) so hopefully I have good news on Tuesday!

Have a good weekend and good luck to everyone busy with BD'ing, testing, waiting and to those who have had their BFP's but just can't shake their TTC burden of worries!

Teuch

Cadmum · 15/04/2005 15:45

I finally have a minute to sit here and catch up on all of the latest news.
DQ: Sorry that you are feeling down. It is such a confusion of messed-up emotions when you are pg following a m/c, isn't it? Not too sure when you can expect to feel 100% better. Perhaps after the delivery... Hope you get to 90% later today though!
Sorry for the confusion about the failed emoticon... I would be DELIGHTED to have a January baby. I was only saying that it will be impossible for us to all be on the same anti-natal thread because we are all spread out at the moment. Truth be known I have wanted a January baby for the last three years because our 3 are born in April, March and February so January seems like the next logical choice! (Add to that the fact that DH's brother and SIL have 4 children born in October, November, December and May. The only month left for grandchildren is JANUARY and it is our turn.) Sorry for the added pressure Romilly but I need at least one January baby, PLEASE!!!
Am on CD 14/15 and I cannot find the y OPKs anywhere! ARGH! I know that I would have caved if I could only have found them. DH thinks that I have already lost the plot but I really am feeling desperate as he leaves on the 26th for 3 months and I don't want to wait that long. Sorry rambling again...

Welcome teuch! We are a crazy but caring lot here. Hope your stay here is a short but pleasant one!

Welcome diddle. I am sorry that you find yourself here but I hope that it is helpful. Take time to recover properly and be patient with yourself. This can be a sad and frustrating time. I don't even want to let you know how long it took my body to get back into a normal cycle but I do think that it varies by person. We are all here to 'listen' while you wait.

teuch · 15/04/2005 15:49

sorry...just read that back! they are more likely NOT to have morning sickness!
DOH!

milosmum · 15/04/2005 15:58

hi george only just seen the post- and its taken me ages to catch up on all 2days news- ill due af on the 3rd so i do try to hold out as close to that date before testing..like the others said though, i hate the whole BFN thing. hope you re all feeling well 2day but i will say i want my order to the top of the january pile, please,.i only want the one so it shouldn t be too much trouble

dramaqueen72 · 15/04/2005 19:42

cadmum, bella thankyou so much for taking time for some cheer Dq up words. what lovely kind people this thread is full of!
youve hit the nail on the head bella, from one worry, to another! i did have a day of fabulous wonderful walking on air feelings, and i keep getting moments of them now too. i cant help but worry obviously, after last time. cadmum, with my dd2 (who was also a pg after m/c) i relaxed some after a good heartbeat was shown beofre 8wks. then again at 12wks and after a clean bill of health at 20wks i was as happy as ever! I'm still over the top protective of her and i think it all stems from that first m/c.
so once i've had my early scan i think i will be better, but youre right its not til after delivery you really let out that sigh!
I'm definately checking in for everyone testing days so keep saying when they are wont you? whos next then?

Cadmum · 16/04/2005 03:38

DQ: I am glad that you are feeling somewhat better. Just think that by the time I am testing you will already be past the 6 week mark... The time will go quickly once you have had an early scan. Were both of your m/c early then?
I have opted not to spend the money on the OPKs... What a FAILURE I am! I coundn't find the ones and all of the other ones have a rather steep learning curve for such an urgent order! I have decided that we can't possibly miss the egg if we bd every day so that is the plan. I had better ov before DH leaves on the 26th. Guess I will spend the money on either a bottle of lovely red wine to drown my sorrows or a lovely maternity outfit should I make it through the dreaded first 38 or so weeks. (I'll need something nice to wear for New Year's Eve, right?!?!)

Nemo1977 · 16/04/2005 08:33

lol cadsmum..so can we got for new year...lol

Like DQ also been feeling fragile but wont moan as its just my own insecurities...got my gp apointment on mon...woo hoo

Harrizeb · 16/04/2005 09:26

Good morning ladies, hope you have a good weekend, congratulations Nemo and DQ it's just such fabulous news. Sorry it's taken this long to post congrats, I have been lurking waiting for your news though - On thursday I was sat with a guy dropping of a courtesy car for me with one eye watching the form i was trying to fill in and sign and the other reading the posts waiting for your news DQ - he must have thought I was a right one!!! I am so so pleased for you.

Lots of sticky, calm baby dust for you both. Good luck on Monday at the Doc's Nemo hope it all goes well, and good luck to everyone who is either bding or testing soon.

H x

wendy11 · 16/04/2005 11:38

DQ - how are you feeling today? Hope you are feeling better. It is only normal that you should be feeling all these emotions and worry but as my DH keeps telling me you have to be brave and positive and everything will work out all right for you.

Nemo - all the best on Monday at your Dr's appointment. Everything will be fine.

Hope everyone else is feeling in top form today.

Bella - are you ready for the marathon BD session this week I have a timetable worked out in my head but definitley won't be telling DH it One of those things that he is best not knowing - just surprise him with my willingness!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

dramaqueen72 · 16/04/2005 12:47

thankyou harrizeb, I'm sorry i caused such a soap opera over my results. todays line was much darker and I've finally agreed i must be pg then! took a funny photo of all my pg tests lined up with the line getting stronger.......
And George, posted the rest of the tests off to you, and my last three sticks of OPK, for you to add to your smiley machinethe deal is if you dont use them all you pass them on to someone on this thread too, us POAS addicts have to support each other!
wendy thanks for support, sounds ridiculous to say on this thread how scared i am NOW when youre all trying to get to where i am, but its very nervous place to be, roll on first scan.
I've decided to make Drs appointment end of next week instead of right away, well what can they do this early? agree with my due date? pass me those leaflets i have already?LOL so if i go see them at 5wks, i think they can organise a scan for 6wks+ in time!
wishing bella and wendy a good bding week!

Cadmum · 16/04/2005 13:36

DQ: There are only 7 tests in that photograph. Are you sure that you only POAS 7 times in 5 days?
Honestly, I am SO happy for you! Try to relax and enjoy every second. Hope to join you soon...
