attempting to be online because i miss you guys. I'm half happy and half to scared to be ahppy, supposing the line doesnt show up again? supposing it never gets darker? AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH, have got grey hair now, definately.
LOL, i realised I may ahve told you guys I'm pg before dh. ah well, like to get my priorities right!! I'm so worried its a false reading that I'm tempted to mail it to everyone. its okay, i appreiciate thats silly and i wont, if -WHEN!- its nice and dark I might tho.
piffle, dont despair, read your instructions with EVERY test you buy, you'd be surprised how different they all cn be. my 'teststrip' OPKs said not to use them first thing as you get a false reading due, most OPKs are like that. however face opks ARENT, they say go right ahead and use them first thing.
old wives tales may make you worry and be a nervous wreck but some times they actually have a foothold in fact too......this cough syrup for example really DOES increase the slippery mucas (sperm friendly then!) because thats its job, to thin out mucas all over your body. theres some enyzme or something in yams so i was reading..I say try what you can and dont stress the rest.
I certainly didnt bd the No. oftimes nemo said, i bded for nearly a whole week (once a day, missed out one day) before and the day of my +opk. we messed up and didnt do after O at all. so I'll do my best to make this a BFP so your Dh's can regain some colour in their cheeks and relax alittle!
fingers all crossed for tomorrow and next day then.

Bella23 · 12/04/2005 16:06

Nail biting stuff DQ..............
I have a really good feeling you are going to get a strong BFP soon
Milosmum - we love hearing inept body observations, makes us all feel more normal![smil]

Cadmum · 12/04/2005 16:29

DQ: Feel free to email it to ME! I love this stuff! I never have the courage to test early so I would love to see it. I swear that your twin remark is all forgiven. I would really like to see if I could manage the challenge and my 'older three' are quite a cohesive group so with a 4 year age gap, twins might be better. LISTEN to me! I am not even pg and I am hoping for two. HOPELESS!
Still waiting for signs of Ov and avoiding the chemists or I will cave... Really not convinced that OPKs would show ov clearly. Wish I could temp like Romilly but that requires 3 hours of un-interrupted sleep and that is not likely anytime soon!

wendy11 · 12/04/2005 17:39

OK folks given up on the work for now although I really should do a bit more to make up for all the time I spent on here this morning!

Rom - I will try the grapefruit juice. DH drinks it every morning, I wonder does it have the same effect on all their...... ahem... secretions.

DQ - have read several places about Robitussin being good on the CM front. So long as the active ingredient is Guaifenesin then it is OK. Just check that there are no other ingredients that could actually work to dry up the mucus. Sainsburys do a guaifenesin expectorant to sooth and relieve chesty coughs so might give that a go this month as well.

I am starting to suffer from all the tree pollen that is just starting at the moment. Have to take clarityn every day for most of the summer to stop the runny eyes, nose etc but not going to be able to take that at the moment as.....you've guessed it....it dries up all the mucus in your body - including the prized CM. Great I will be walking around sneezing, red rimmed eyes and hanky attached to nose - what a pretty sight!! Doesn't help that I work outside most of the time.

piffle · 12/04/2005 18:32

ha ha ha just cleared out my bathroom bin and the clearblue test from yesterday has a blue line, the one from two days earlier does not.
It is probably an evaporation line is it?
I have no idea, never tested this much before in my life?
Very confusing!

Nemo1977 · 12/04/2005 18:44

aw wpiffle it is addictive the peeing on a stick especially when u are being egged on.lol

Cadmum honestly i was dubious about opks aswell...but hey ho one month using them and im pg..i now know 5 people who used the clearblue digi and got pg in first month.

dramaqueen72 · 12/04/2005 18:53

nemo! hoping to make that six!
cadmum, okay if you dont laugh at the unbelieveable faint line i will try and cat you while computer in good mood. you deserve your two, rom can you see whats in stock?
bella, nail biting is not the word. stupid raised hopes over whats prob an evap line make for BIG butterflies in your tummy.
piffle, any line after more than several minutes is not to be trusted. that said however, i would test again, because maybe its very weak HCG right now and took a while to show up? its AWFUL limbo huh? welcome to my world!
cadmum, i can assure you, that even the teststrip type of OPKs will confirm 100% if youre O-ing. there are days when you peer at the lines and wonder, but really, when its O time you cant miss it. and you'll get this fabulous insight into our obsessive conversations!

george32 · 12/04/2005 19:25

DQ.....it's defintely there you know!!
It's really faint but it is so there!!
I think Rom may have delivered the thread another Christmas baby (no wonder she has been so busy !)
Plus you have bought joy to all of us who can't manage 6 times in 24 hours. Does you DH know about this yet???
Trying to be calm until you test again tomorrow but I think the signs are looking SO good

Cadmum · 12/04/2005 19:38

DQ: Did you try to CAT me? I don't have an email yet... I want to see that line!

Nemo1977 · 12/04/2005 20:00

GEORGE U CAN SEE CANT U..LOL

Nemo1977 · 12/04/2005 20:01

oops sorry for shouting

dramaqueen72 · 12/04/2005 20:34

omg! george i felt so silly mailing it you! as i looked at picture again, i thought nah, theres nothing there, i'm losing my mind! but thought i'd send it anyway.so i'm glad you can see something! i have indeed cat you my email cadmum, so you can email me your email address and i can email you the faintest line (or not) in the world. hope the email to email me(!?!) arrives with you soon!
I havent told dh yet, prob bad manners eh? but i neeeeeeeeeeeeed a firm YES or NO before it tell him or he will talk me out of it and stress me out over testing or not. so I have told you ladies! and my penpal/email pal in america. she's not in my everyday RL so its okay to tell her too! we were working out I'm only 9/10dpo so if its a line its bloody early. she didnt get one until 12dpo and then it was nearly as faint as this is now (i know i saw the photos!)
nemo, I think youre really desprate to have a duedate buddy arent you?> bless you. i'm willing it girl i'm literally praying for it. rom can you check outgoing orders and let me know?
cadmum CAT me your email address if my cat doesnt turn up to you.
I'm dying to test RIGHT now, but i know HCG only doubles ever 48hrs in the earliest days so even tomorrow FMU could show just the same whisp of a line. breathe breathe, i need to remeber to keep breathing!
how you doing nemo? feeling any different? got used to the idea yet? still testing to believe it? LOL

bella, I'm sorry my excitement hijacked your working day. isnt it your reflexology tomorrow? oh lovely....

munz · 12/04/2005 20:40

DQ a line's a line girl, i'd say u were PG, big congrats!

Pif - would go with evap line after 2 days, test agin if u have any spares, then u'll know for sure.

hereshoping · 12/04/2005 20:57

SO EXCITED at all news on this thread
big congrats nemo and dq got everything crossed for you
cadmum im with you on the twins front - a masochistic part of me is hoping too

im cd20 now - only 8 or so to go till i know if im going to catch this april shower of babydust

Bella23 · 12/04/2005 21:18

DQ - are you stil sane ?? This is soooo exciting!
Reflexology is not until Thursday but so looking forward to it. Am a little worried what I am going to say to the woman though as don't want to come accross as some kind of nutter......
Hereshopping - good news on the normal test results so all looks good for the future. Definately should be an addition to DH's CV - an advantage in any job I would think
Nemo - still on cloud nine?

Nemo1977 · 12/04/2005 21:25

tbh i dont feel like its real just keep waiting for af to turn up...stupid isnt it..still testing think i will believe it when i see a scan and heartbeat

dramaqueen72 · 12/04/2005 21:30

no not in the least bit sane, keep thinkingg 'wow' then keep thinking 'oh no mistake its not real line' and so generally screwing head up. v v much.
munz, dont get carried away just yet, let me get a DARK line and i'll be happy!
bella, what you mean 'hello my name is bella and I am currently ttc, i use persona, opks of all kinds along with cough medicine and yam recipes, thinking of signing up for oxford study. i'd like you to massage my feet to help me catch the eggie this month' sounds abit odd?????? nooooo surely not! LOL i actually thought tomorrow was thursday so i did know when your appointment was. its going to be nice tho isnt it, the ttc bit aside, having that done.
hereshoping! nice to see you again. heres to the eight days rushing by and a BFP greeting you asap. glad results were all okay. agree TOP suggestion for CV. make his stand out wont it

dramaqueen72 · 12/04/2005 21:37

actually, having just re-read all theinfo on false + on peeonastick.com, i'm now convinced its negative. and now very low about it. it was within the time limit but its not exactly a bright clear line is it?

yellowbear · 12/04/2005 21:51

Hi DQ,

just to let you know I have my fingers crossed for you & will be watching this thread with bated breath.

Nemo1977 · 12/04/2005 21:57

DQ i keep looking at ur pic and even moving it around screen to make sure and i can deffo see something....mine were not bright it was only truly confirmed by the clear blue digi which i swear shocked the life out of me

Bella23 · 12/04/2005 22:22

DQ - hang in there woman - looking very good! You are not allowed any negative thoughts !!
As for the advice on what to tell refelxologist - I think i shall go for your suggestion, seems to cover all bases me thinks!! Would be worth it just to see the look on her face!
Arh Nemo - yes worrying time but try to to bask in the glory of your achievement!!

Cadmum · 12/04/2005 22:34

Hereshoping: I am SO glad that I am not the only crazy one that would be happy with twins. I never thought that I would say that but it was really devastating miscarrying two perfect little beings. I have always thought that my parenting style could not cope with two but I long to have the chance to prove that I could manage. (Making any sense?) I did find an article that talks about the connection of the yam to multiple births by googling the words yam + twins. Pretty shaky ground but anything that helps.
"Yams? That's right, scientists have discovered that these colorful vegetables that are grown only in Africa contain a high level of a substance that is similar to the hormone estrogen -- which could bring on multiple ovulation."
I actually thought that the candies I ate from Lidl may have caused my twin conception. I did not notice until after I had consumed nearly the entire bag that they contained B vitamins including folic acid... Sorry, more rantings of a mad woman!

Cadmum · 12/04/2005 22:36

DQ Can't wait to hear that you have a dark line. Nemo could use company on the Dec thread. I will say a little prayer for you this evening.
(Still haven't got your CAT email and I sent you one earlier as well.)

dramaqueen72 · 12/04/2005 23:17

thanks for nice words ladies but i just dont know until i 'know' iyswim. cadmum hmmmm, havent got your cat yet? is there something funny going on that stops our computers connecting?! please CAT me one more time and I will you too not that its worth a fuss, its beyond faint altho i 'think' its red rather than grey ghost line.oh god, who knows.
yeh Bella, did you like my opening speech for you? i cant wait to hear how fab it was
nemo, i'm far too scared to take a digi one, but funnily enough the first thing i do when pg is buy a clear blue test. i just 'trust' that brand you know? silly huh. when are you going to the Dr? I'm still trying to join you on the dec thread.

Cadmum · 13/04/2005 01:47

DQ: I am really not sure why our computers would not be able to connect...I even checked our junk-mail folder as we filter out lots of admail. Guess I will wait to hear about the real thing.

I was back at the chemists this evening and they did not have the OPKs... Too confusing for me to choose so I didn't bother. What a pathetic excuse but they were all so expensive and it would likely take me ages to 'read the lines'. Will try to find the ones tomorrow (just in time to POA20 and never need another one again...)

Caddad did not go all pale when I told him about the 6 times in 48 hours. In fact he laughed and said that sounded better that 48 times in 6 hours!!! Who's in trouble now? Shouldn't have said anything about that insane plan! Now to explain that the 48 hours only starts during the fertile time...Hmmm...
