DQ is it an early test u took?

On wow George - why is it that things that are supposed to be good for you can do so much harm. I am not a regular green tea drinker, had just read some articles that suggested green tea helped with CM and thought I would have a cup or two a day in the run up to ov to see if it made any difference. Don't know what I will do now - maybe take two folic acid tablets and hope that balances out what is not absorbed because I am drinking green tea. This ttc is getting so complicated.

Thanks George - no more for me then! Phew, that green tea drinking stage was short lived! I actually took a folic acid suplement at the same time and that article says ......."In green tea drinkers, EGCG's antifolate activity would be expected to lessen the activity of the enzyme that uses folic acid, minimising the good effects of folic acid supplements"...................bloody typical eh!!
Wendy - I think we need to stick to the Yams...

Bella, re: green tea - there is quite a nice Clipper one with echinacea (is echinacea ok when ttc? don't know if anyone knows?) Have you tried it? Also I can only drink green tea when it brews for no longer than they say on the pack - I think it's undrinkable after a long stew!

OK - need a few yam recepies . Bet they tast better than green tea anyway!! Not sure DH will be overjoyed about yams - quite conservative in his food tastes but I can probably disguise them in something or other

Whoops no, echinacea is no good either (can affect fertility in high doses, although not sure you can get high does from tea!)
Just found out that evening primrose oil is no good in 2ww either.
My god....is there nothing allowed. Going to live on a diet of yams and water and folic acid for the next few weeks

oh my computer is being an ARSE! bella, green tea is actualy quite nice, after a while, tho i too have read some conflicting advice on it while ttc. have you done the cough medicine, now i cant remember the exact name, Robotussin? or something sounding like that, I'll try and look it up if this bloody crappy computer can do ANYTHING, -its taken me TEN attempts to get here!- but american ttcers take it as it losens and increases the CM...infact i know of two sane normal people who swear by it, so i will try and find it online for you. strange things we discover while ttc eh? isnt there a pub up north (well everywheres north of me!) that hasa famous barstool? apparently any female who sat in it got pg soon after....PMSL about all this now.
apparently if i test tomorrow i would only get a similar result to today, if i leave it 48hrs any HCG would of doubled and hence a stronger line if it was one at all. i could always CAT one you the picture i guess, if i dont want to 'share' it with the for sale board!! or we could ALL wait for 48hrs for a better line (i hope)
I'm not that sneaky with my tests. i just bought them in bulk remember.and they live in my hairdryer drawer so every morning i go..'ohhh, look at thoooose!'
let me see if i can find the 'old wives tales' on ttc on the american boards, assuming pig of a computer moves from this page at all. one week til new computer! woohoo!

I was really sorry to hear that you lost your 1st husband, and also George about your fathers death. I lost my dad in 1991 very suddenly, I am sure it was his death that caused my rebellion that culminated with having my ds in Feb 94.

I'm going to wrestle with computer to get google to work for that cough med link B......have you running to Boots in no time. dont knock ANYTHING, if it works fabulous, if it doesnt, well, it wont have done you any harm! thank God Cadmum has heard of yams helping too, or you'd all think I was making this up!

Can you get some different tests so you can try one of all of them in the morning? I have some tests that detects hCG at 10mIU/mL which I think is quite sensitive (it is on OPKs anyway). Do you want me to post you one for tomorrow?

OOH all sounds so promising for you DQ !!! Agree with Nemo, would test tomorrow morning and then the following morning......especially if you already have the tests.

Q. - How can I increase my CM, or make the quality of it more EW?
A. - This is actually easier then many think. There are two ways that I know of to increase your CM and make it more sperm friendly. You can take either plain Robitussin tm 1 teaspoon 2 to 3 times a day from day 5 until you O or you can take Evening Primrose Oil up to 1500mg daily. Many take the Evening Primrose Oil just because the Robitussin tm tastes so bad, but it is up to you.

I think we have it under a different brand name here, or maybe not, remember finding it in Boots onnline and thinking about it!

DQ, if you want me to post you one just CAT me your address & I'll run down the post office now. Don't know how well they work as I've not tried them yet but I've checked on-line & 10mIU/mL is really sensitive.
