TeeHee Take it easy, I remember telling you this earlier on in your pg and it's no different now, nest by all means but don't do too much or I'll be coming to tell you off
Sparkly Can I join you with the head in the sand please? Then I won't have to go into work tomorrow Glad to hear no more spotting, gutted the italians let me down yesterday and didn't beat your arses (although they were for most of the match ) Come on England
EI Anymore symptoms?
Fruity I was telling TeeHee on Friday night I can't believe we're going to have 2 new babies on the thread and I have't cuddled any of them Will make do with photo's though Impressed at yesterdays organisation.
CriCri I've checked out the latest photo's of Elise on FB, she's growing up so much, but still very cute My retail therapy yesterday consisted of a necklace, bracelet and a ring, so I was quite restrained.

I went out with some friends from work last night and had to ask them to stop talking about the promotion exercise, it's nice to know the whole office is shocked but I don't want people to go on about it all the time as I will cry and make a tit of myself if they do. So will wear a badge tomorrow saying "It's just one of those things, plse lets not talk about it" Do you think it'll work?? I think I'm going to have to ask my manager to take me off the acting up straightaway, but the only section I can work on will be the one I've been managing Sorry to go on girls but I put so much into this it's just devestated me. If I wasn't already doing the damn job it wouldn't bother me half as much

bella if you think im bad you should see my DH hes a bigger FB than i am i would say to leave trying to hear the HB for at least another 5 weeks as the walls of your womb are still relatively thick and will be alot thinner and easier to hear sounds in a few weeks time

hello to everyone else

BellaHarry · 15/03/2009 14:13

Oh ei I'm genuinely excited for you! Your just as impatient as me! Fingers crossed hun but I have a really good feeling about this!! X

piper84 · 15/03/2009 14:22

hi ladies, sorry havent posted much. m/s is in full swing and the puter screen seems to make it worse

Ei sounds promising From what i have read the second line on the opk has to be darker than the control line. Fingers crossed for you

teeheelaydee · 15/03/2009 16:47

ei Have absolutely no idea if a BFP opk is the same as you are the expert on such matters! Will you be able to wait until Thursday? All sounds quite exciting so everything is crossed for you.

Went out for lunch with my Mum and Brother and his family today and realised that next Sunday is Mother's Day - Fruity will be a Mummy by Mother's Day (yes I know she's already one but she'll be one again) Fruity Make sure DP knows that the gift/nice treat is proportional to the number of children you have!

Good Luck tomorrow Mollie BTW I very much agree with Cricri - In a few months time (when you will hopefully be getting a lovely bump) you may find that this disappointment was a blessing in disguise, although difficult to get your head around that now I know.

Sparkly Only 5 days to go although it's gonna drag - fingers crossed though am confident all well.

Cricri Lovely to know you are here even if posting is a bit of a stretch. Can you do menthol inhalations and Olbas Oil - may help although nothing is as good as a nice strong cold tablet! Sounds like a lovely time with Elise. 2 more NCT classes to go - have really enjoyed them and it has got DP and I talking about baby/labour stuff which is great.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Have taken all comments on board and will be taking things easy - v/frustrating though as have energy to burn. Will take a supervisory role in any further tasks

BellaHarry · 15/03/2009 18:25

just bought this as we are probably not going to get to the antenatal classes except the hypnotherapy ones (as these set us back a hefty sum)

SparklyPseudonym · 15/03/2009 20:11

Bella Can't you get NHS classes?
Teehee Glad to hear you're going to be taking a backseat. Save your energy! Thank you for being positive for me.
Piper Sorry to read about sickness. You're right about OPKs - I just did one for fun and the test line is much, much, much darker than the control line.
Ei Forgot to ask how many dpo you are. Lots of luck to you.
Mollie Huge {hugs} to you my lovely and what an impressive win today. Hope it's raised your spirits. xxx

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/03/2009 09:57

Good morning .

Wow, do i feel better. I've missed so much. Not sure that I'll be able to remember everything that's been going on.

I've not been sick now for 4 days. It's the longest I've gone for 5 months. Cor. It made me realise how bloody awful I had been feeling. Ear an chest infection finally cleared up and my energy has returned. Phew. Still get the odd queasy moment and the acid reflux is kicking in like a bugger. But it's all manageable and I've even weaned myself back onto 'proper' food.

Am just enjoying my first cup of coffee in forever..... so down to business....

Fruity I think Wed is the big day? How exciting. Please could you text me your address so can at least get a card to you. I bet you've got everything in hand, but just wanted to give you HUGE hugs. I can't beleive we first met when you were 10 weeks pg and now you're about to have your little boy. Am getting all misty eyed.

Piper Congratulations on the BFP. I haven't had a chance to congratulate you properly. Sorry the MS has got you. But it's all good signs for a sticky bean. Did you ever manage to work out what to do about your 12 week scan? Are you even going to have one?

Sparkly I think you had a bit of a rocky road with some bleeding? Is that better now? And how are you feeling? How's school? And I think you were due another scan soon? Sorry, lots of questions!

TeeHee Not long for you either young lady. Excited, nervous or both?! And like everyone else says, take it easy love. Am very of all your free time and cooking and shopping and visiting. But, as we've all said, it' ain't gonna last once Miss or Master Tee arrives .

Scully Hope it's cooling down for you. Seems as if your summer has gone on for ages. How are you feeling? And I'm can totally empathise with the hayfever. I get it really badly and it's just started kicking in now all the blossom is out.

Bella It's the 20 week scan this week right? And you're going to find out what flavour you're having? I can't beleive you're 20 weeks already. Why does everyone elses pg so fast and your own seems to crawl by?!

Mollie Hello lovely lady. I'm gutted for you re: job. It's a total kick in the crutch. And not what you need right now. I can empathise with how you feel. It seems as if theres rock botoom, 50 feet of crap and then you. I won't soft soap you with platitudes. And I can't give great advice. I just know that without my friends shoulders to cry on it would have been 10 times as hard to get through it. So, in the immortal words of the song, 'lean on me'.

Ei Ooooooooooooo. Could there be some exciting news soon? Am keeping everything crossed for you. I'm sure that I've heard the same about OPK's. Have you done another one? OK, not going to jinx it.

Cricri Sorry to hear you're poorly. It's a bitch isn't it. Hope you're on the mend.

Kate Have you 'died and gone to Devon' ! Hope you and DH have a lovely week away.

Opps. Friend just turned up. More later. xxxx

SparklyPseudonym · 16/03/2009 10:49

Georgie [waves] Glad you're finally feeling better. Had a tiny bit of brown spotting last week but nothing since. Am ok - trying not to feel positive or negative. Scan is Friday ... am going to be a nervous wreck.

teeheelaydee · 16/03/2009 11:05

Oh Georgie so good to have you back and glad you are feeling human again - i will remember the return of fancying a coffee - about to go and have one myself and for the first time this year looks like I can have it in the garden. It is just such a relief when you start to feel a bit normal - enjoy it in case you get hit with the next lot of pregnancy joys!! lol at the 'died and gone to devon' remark Yes nervous and excited kinda sums it up - with a side order of impatient!

Piper think I missed you the other day Glad (iykwim) that the ms has got you - if nothing else it is at least a daily reminder that you are pg. What was the outcome of the scan nonsense.

Bella I thought the same as Sparkly - do you not get the opportunity to do NHS classes - I think Fruity mentioned that they don't offer for subsequent pg's but first timers get them. If I'd gone for the Natal Hypnotherapy I wouldn't have been able to do the NCT so would've done the NHS ones.

Sparkly I am staying positive for you all week in case you don't manage to - kind of PMA by proxy - can't hurt

Fruity Love the blankies - what are you doing with your last 2 days - not too much work I hope.

Mollie Hope you get on OK at work. Sounds like you have plenty of support there and although it can feel a little smothering or pressured, it's got to be better than the alternative!

Right must go - as sun is shining. As instructed by you guys am taking it easy today - might so some more baby name trawling and work on a list of stuff to do - stuff for DP to do I mean - ah he'll love me for it!

piper84 · 16/03/2009 16:07

Hello everyone

ei any news?!?!?!?!
Teehee Glad to hear you are taking it easy lady and that your dp is being good
Fruity not long to go now
Sparkly hope things are ok with you glad to hear there has been no more spotting
Mollie hope work goes ok hun xxx sorry to hear you have been having a hard time of it
Georgie glad to "see" you back with us

Big waves to anybody I forgot to mention
AFM: came home from work early today, m/s was very bad but seems to have settled now (piper-> ) The only thing i want to eat at the moment is home made chips, I will be the size of a house by 12 weeks . Hopefully should have my scan in 4 weeks, seems like ages away

FruitynNutty · 16/03/2009 16:44

Afternoon everybody

What a glorious day!

Georgie I'm sooooo pleased you're feeling a bit more human Perhaps you can start to enjoy your pregnancy now!
How's the dreaded building works going? Anymore trouble? Or shouldn't I ask

Lola I hope you're having a wonderful time in Devon. I also hope the sun is shining as much down there as it is in London

Teehee not doing much, just the usual. Went to playgroup this morning then to a Childminder friend's house to give childen lunch - we all sat in the garden eating pineapple while kiddies played
Gonna pick DS up in an hour then take them to the park so I can chill out in the sunshine.
Tomorrow got to go to the hospital at 11am to give them some blood. MIL is going to have DS so I'll only have two little mindees with me and my mother is coming so can help me.
So, that's it really!

Bella I'm amazed at how organised you are! Bottles, pram, breast pump all by 20 weeks! At least you won't be running around like a mad woman at the last minute like me

Well, I'm absolutely knackered. DP and I had another one of our rows at the weekend. I didn't get a wink of sleep on Sat night because he came home at 3am very drunk Why do they insist on keeping you awake when they are drunk? I'd rather he stayed at a friend's house. Then DS woke really stupidly early 4.30am! So I desperately need some sleep. I went to bed at 8pm last night and still tired.

Bloody hell I started typing this at lunchtime, then a friend showed up so I forgot about it! I might have missed a couple of posts since....

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 16/03/2009 19:48

Oh Fruity, your DP needs a good kick in the bollocks. Send him over my way and I'll give him a good pasting .

Bella Just let me know how you get on with the breast pump. It really is the weirdest gadget. I felt like Daisy the Cow at milking time when I used mine .

TeeHee Did you finish DP's list of things to do?!

I've got a free ticket to the Ideal Home Show at Earls Court, so off there next Friday to see if I can score some bargains. Our build budget is spiraling out of control and I need to find cheap n' cheerful ways to finish this house.

And......drum roll please......after 13 months of building, we're getting a roof!!! Should be on by the end of this week. Woooooo hoooooo.

OP posts:
BellaHarry · 16/03/2009 20:30

Fruity yeah I am stupid organised! It's my worrying nature! Can't believe how soon d'day is for you! If there is anything I can do to help out, please, please give me a bell I am only around the corner!! I mean that xxx

Georgie great to hear from you, it should be this week for the scan but it's late not doing it 'til next monday!!! 6 days to go! and yes we are definitely after the 'flavour'! congrats on the buikding developments!

sparkly and teehee I can get the NHS classes but DH can't take the time off work and all the eve ones are done so nevermind. We have the hypnotherapy and now the DVD so we'll be fine...my mil keeps telling me "we know too much now" apparantly it was better when we went in blind, and didn't make a fuss!!!!!!!!!!!

Molliemooma · 16/03/2009 20:50

EI You are so going to leave me on the bench you wicked girl! Have everything crossed for you, are you going to be able to restrain yourself and wait for Thursday or not?
TeeHee So glad to hear that you are going to heed our advice, a supervisory role sounds good, just stick to it
Piper Sorry to hear ms has kicked in, hope you feel better soon.
Sparkly Only 4 more sleeps to wait now my lovely. The match yesterday definately raised my spirits.
Georgie Welcome back chick, sorry to hear you have been feeling so ill, there is nothing worse as you are so limited on what you can take medicine wise. Onwards and upwards for you now, fantastic news on the extension roof!! Have you heard from MFI/Receivers about your deposit yet?
CriCri Hope the throat is better
Fruity Oh my Weds seems to be getting so close now, I can't believe it! And still your DP is being an arse! Why don't you move into my spare room with your 2 DS's and I'll be your doula for you. Then he might appreciate what he's got when it's gone!
Bella Very impressed with your organisation missus!

Well work went OK today, everyone including management very shocked (recruitment not done locally) they have asked me to stay on acting up (in fact the team I line manage asked me not to leave them which was lovely ) I have agreed until I get a decision from the external interview in 2/3 wks time (which will be another no) then I will return to a stress free job, as TTC and stress are not good partners and I need to pour all my energy into losing weight and getting fit and pregnant

Mollie I was thinking about you today and hoping you were OK with everything going on at work. Glad it went OK and it's nice to know that everybody you work with thinks you're doing a good job. It makes a mockery of the whole system really doesn't it? You sound much more positive anyway and I'm sure having less stress will help with ttc.
Georgie Good to have you back and glad you're feeling more human again, you've had a rough time of it lately. Pleased the building work is beginning to take shape at last. Lol at Daisy the cow comment - that's me at breakfast every morning. Eating my cornflakes with one hand, holding the pump with the other and trying to keep Elise entertained whilst she sits in her Bumbo or high chair wondering what on earth mummy is doing
Fruity Glad you're making the most of the lovely weather and last couple of days of (relative) peace and quiet. You really are working right up until the end aren't you?! I agree with Georgie re your DP - how inconsiderate given that you're about to have a baby and need your rest!
Ei Ooh, sounds very promising! Keeping my fingers crossed for you
Piper Sorry you're still suffering with ms atm. Eat what you fancy for now and don't worry - there's plenty of time for healthy eating once you feel better. My diet was rubbish for 5 or 6 weeks but it didn't do me or E any harm.
Bella You are so organised - DH and I didn't start buying anything until I was 30 weeks pg!
I'm feeling better thanks although throat is still sore. Elise is teething so is suffering a bit today. We had a lovely walk in the part on the way to and from town today - spring is definitely here
Hope everybody else is ok.

hi ladies
hope everyone is doing ok

mollie nice to see you what a nice bunch you work with!! sounds like you are very much a valued part of your team
hi to everyone else
i havent had a chance to buy a test yet and im definitely not going to last until thursday i am due AF wed anyway so il prob test then or tomorrow night either way il let you guys know as i wouldnt want fruity to birth with excitement or you teehee
xx ei xx

scully · 17/03/2009 00:55

Hello ladies I have been reading the thread, just not managing to write anything, lately.
A little cooler here now, well not so humid anyway, hayfever still a pita but what can you do. Had a headache all day yesterday, I think from days of constant sneezing, so took something for it last night and the headache went away thank goodness.
Sorry, I really can't remember a lot of the individual news I've read, but I'll try.
If I'm not on here again before you have your c/s Fruity, I'm thinking of you and am sure everything will go well. Can't way to see a piccy of ds2. Can't believe your dp either, Ei, is right, he needs to be able to drive you around right now, not be pi**ing it up dd1 was booked in for a c/s on 24/4, but I went into labour spontaneously in the middle of the night on 22/4 and she was born early hours of 23/4. As my waters had broken and I had water everywhere on the way to hospital, I'm quite sure a taxi would have been thrilled to have had me as a passenger
Good luck with your testing Ei, have everything crossed for you. What's your new job I've been reading about on FB?
Hope your m/s doesn't drag on for weeks Piper.
Great that you're feeling better finally Georgie, you have had a bad run with illness. Wow, and roof on your extension, finally, you must be relieved you have builders who know how to work
Sorry to hear you were messed around with your promotion Mollie, at least you have the support of your colleagues though. And as you said, a less stressful job will be useful when you get back to ttc.
How are you feeling now Cricri? Mibbes, photos of Evan on FB are gorgeous
Would you go to any of the NHS classes on your own Bella, you might find them helpful, and it is nice to meet other local people who are pregnant. Although you can still do that through the NCT after you've had the baby. I would like to be as organised as you, I have a list but no money, so am looking forward to when I can start crossing some things off.
I'm about to go on Ebay and hunt around for a computer desk, as that's the first purchase we need to make. Not directly baby related, but can't really move the computer out of our bedroom until we get a new desk set up in the garage. Then we can get a bookcase to fit next to it, and unpack the boxes of books and dh's study stuff which is in the garage. Once the desk is out of our bedroom, we have space for the moses basket.
Hi to anyone I forgot

HappyandEiknowit · 17/03/2009 07:08

morning all
just a quickie to say hi to scully glad to hear the temp is dropping for you to be honest i really dont envy you the temp over there i melt in the heat so it would be ten times worse if i was preg!! hope you are ok
here is my chart as i have been temping and it is saying triphasic now im going to buy a test today so fingers crossed
hello to everyone else
xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 17/03/2009 09:17

Morning

Ei That chart looks fantastic! It's impossible not to get your hopes up, cant wait to hear the result of your test. If you're not testing until tomorrow/Thursday, can you text me with result?

Scully glad you're still with us and not melted in the heat

Re DP, no he's not the most considerate of people Thankfully we have pil around the corner in case anything happens so they can drive me - DP will just have to miss it all as I'm not having him there drunk/hungover (would serve him right too)
In fact, he went out last night too! He was working late then went for a Chinese with a colleague. He was supposed to come home after that. I fell asleep then heard his key in the door at 2am! I asked him what happened. He said all his colleagues wanted to go out to "wet the baby's head" - I thought he did that on Saturday night!
I tell you, I'd love for him to miss out on the birth - maybe it would teach him a lesson.
So, another sleepless night for me last night. Took me ages to get back to sleep after he got in
I'm trying so hard not to let it get to me, I could scream and shout but I really don't need the stress right now.

Trouble is, he doesn't see how much of an arse he's being. Apparently it's me. I'm "uptight" all his friends think so too.
It's that excuse he keeps using about me going to playgroups everyday and getting too tired out to give him any attention when he gets home.
Maybe I should sit around all day watching Jeremy Kyle while the children run a mock painting and Playdoughing all over DP's precious walls - see how that goes down

Georgie Great news about the roof finally going on! Let us know how the exhibition goes. I keep wanting to go to that show but then forget about it.

I agree with everyone else re your DP Fruity He honestly staggers me and re the playgroups, surely it's part of your job!! I was shocked he even went out at the weekend - why would he not want to be at home with his family when it's your last weekend with just the 3 of you. Plus your PREGNANT and you are working right up to the birth - how much energy does he expect you to have!! HE should be giving you attention. Sorry I'm ranting now - there's nothing that makes me angrier than MEN being idiots! I don't know how you haven't exploded though - you do need your rest though - mind you tomorrow you will have you little boy in your arms and won't care about anything else! My NCT teacher was saying that elective CS are really relaxed and pleasant - everyone is really laid back - so enjoy!!

Scully Good to see you - sounds like you're having a bit of nightmare - pregnancy really isn't the earth mother experience that it is made out to be is it.

Georgie A roof- you lucky girl, what more could one wish for! Are you still on for a June move? If I'm honest don't think I will ever finish DP's list - it's a life's work.

Ei Can't wait to hear your results - everything crossed - and yes what is this new job you've been very quiet about?

Mollie Hope your colleagues made you feel better - see told you you're not useless.

Cricri Elise in a highchair - still think of her as a little newbie and teething too - quite the grown up girl.

Hello to everyone else - nothing going on here- having a very quiet week which is rather nice actually - am carless as DP's bike being repaired so that's a bit of a pain.

FruitynNutty · 17/03/2009 15:07
