I haven't updated anyone else, brain to mushy to work it out, plus I think you said Mollie that af was due around wednesday? Btw I meant to say to you, I hadn't heard of the Deanna plan, but the 'every other night method' has worked twice for us, so fingers crossed it works nice and quickly for you too Although maybe your DP will be hoping it doesn't work toooooo quickly

Mibbes was so ashamed about Ethan/Evan ddebacle I almost had to leave the thread Am truly sorry, please forgive me!!

teeheelaydee · 13/02/2009 17:56

Mollie Meant to say earlier the 'deanna plan' otherwise known as the do it alot plan was definitely invented by a man.

Lola Not sure if I have any fashion tips - I had a few smocky style tops that did me quite well before I graduated to maternity clothes and dresses I seem to remember but then my early time was August/September so a bit easier I think. Mother tips I can do! Stick to your guns - if you are not ready for stuff don't take it. Remember what you said to me at the beginning of the week - take your own advice. No-one should be telling you how to feel or react. Just ask her to put it in a drawer for a while.
Also don't worry about being grumpy - I have been the grumpiest pregnant woman ever and won't be pg for much longer to you can take over the mantle. I will send you my grumpy crown!

Fruity Oooh bless you - thanks - I wouldn't mind a good condition playmat and a sling that I can breastfeed in if you're up for some searching.

FruitynNutty · 13/02/2009 20:34

Teehee get thee to a TK Maxx for a sling ASAP!. It's the Babasling. £20 instead of £40 - Still £40 in Boots!. My Mum has bought one for me and I've read lots of great things about it. If you haven't got a TK's near you I could pick one up for you?
I'll have a look for a playmat like mine. I reckon Tiny Love are the best ones I borrowed one for DS and he loved it!
Bella 7pm will be too early as DP doesn't get back from work till 7 at the earliest. Might make 7.30 though! love GBK great choice of venue
Lola Excellent news for nuchal results! and so pleased you've taken the step to properly graduate yourself

Well DP has just walked through the door with my Valentines "stuff", a bunch of pink roses, a box of choccies and two lots of puddings and custard - he wanted to give them to me tonight so he didn't have to try to hide them. I feel bad now cos I've only got him a card!

Just off to check out Ebay for Teehee......................

BellaHarry · 13/02/2009 20:43

Lola try thick jumper dress and tights with sensible boots, that covers all. Got some nice ones in Topshop right now!
Glad your result was good, reallt pleased for you

Fruity Wed at 7:30 it is then, we can do 8 if your worried about handing ds over in time? Be nice to be out rather than the boys eh! Might even pretend I'm drinking cocktails?!

DH is out at the mo, last day of term sounds drunk! I hate him drunk!!! I had a drink and nibble with a friend but DH was all "I won't be late" so I just got home, no effing sign of the lying swine! could have been out with my friend still! What a twat!

FruitynNutty · 13/02/2009 20:44

Teehee
this is the same as mine but ends soon

this one ends tomorrow

There are loads on there. Just put in Tiny Love playmat. They are £40-£60 brand new. Look for the Lights and music ones as I think they are the latest ones.
Also, to avoid postage, look for items "nearest 1st" under the "best match" button. You might be able to collect it yourself if not too far

FruitynNutty · 13/02/2009 20:46

Bella See you next Weds then. Lets make it 8 shall we? Saves rushing around

FruitynNutty · 13/02/2009 20:58

I forgot to say teehee don't put your bid in until the very last few seconds. Or even better use www.auctionsniper.com/ I've won a lot of things using Auction sniper. It's fab!

BellaHarry · 13/02/2009 21:25

oh thats how they do it!!!Fruity 8pm GBK big fat dinner and bump talk! Lve it!! x x

FruitynNutty · 14/02/2009 08:18

Effing Cat She knocked over my flowers early this morning and woke us all up, including DS. Water everywhere! Tried to go back to sleep but it was no good We're now up watching Madagascar - DP is fast asleep though.

I don't know why Phoebe is so obsessed with flowers. She always knocks them over and it's always at the crack of dawn too I grabbed her and booted her out the door.
So, no more flowers in the Fruity household

BellaHarry · 14/02/2009 09:32

fruity cats like flowers it's true x

HerNameWasLola · 14/02/2009 18:40

Who would like some of my mum's homemade carrot cake? I can thoroughly reccommend it Sounds like Fruity could definitely do with some. Very about GBC though - love a good burger!

We had a lovely V day lunch today, not that we can afford it I also took the plunge and bought some mat jeans in the Blooming Marvellous sale, plus a top. Felt like a big fat phoney, but the ladies in there were nice which helped. Nearly bought the most adorable babygro in their sale reduced from £14 to £3.50 but managed to resist. Thought it would prob be too hot in Aug/Sept anyway as it's kind of velvety... what do you reckon??

Not saying I ate a lot at lunch, but I had to go and out the jeans on in the loos after the starter Yum yum.

Fruity am loving the look of auction sniper. Have added it to our favourites, thanks!

So then. What's everyone else up to?

HerNameWasLola · 14/02/2009 18:41

Bella I meant to say, great dress suggestion. I just can't bring myself to trawl through our local TS which is always hideous and full of 13yr olds... Maybe I'll have a look on their website.

teeheelaydee · 14/02/2009 18:54

Glad I'm not the only one who's been doing some baby related shopping today!

Fruity Thanks for the tip re: TKmaxx - Got Babasling in dark green - fab! Also returned cot bumper to Mamas & Papas as don't think will get much use, even though I loved it but exchanged for lots of other stuff and spent the rest of the cash that was on my gift card. Missed both the auctions as out but DP's work have been asking what they should buy so we think we'll ask for a playmat and get a new one (we were going to ask for a sling but don't need to now!)

Lola Glad you had a good lunch and you are not a fraud!

FruitynNutty · 15/02/2009 08:18

teehee I'm so glad you managed to find a Babasling at Tk's. I've got the nave blue one, they only had that or white/cream at mine.
Lola They've got loads of smock type long tops at Hennes. I bought a long jumper type thing to go with leggings yesterday - My jeans are all either too tight or fall-down-under-bump types so thought a leggings combo would be ideal. I'd obviously forgotten how large my legs have got as I looked like an elephant when I tried it on at home I hate it when my thighs rub together, I feel so frumpy and heavy
I went into Mothercare to see if they had any cheap jeans to get me through these last few weeks and they were all under bump ones Obviously the buyer has never been pregnant before . Wimbledon is crap for maternity wear.

What did you all do for valentines? We went to a lovely Italian restaurant on Battersea Rise. Starter and main course was lovely but puddings not up to scratch so not very impressed. Delicious pizza'a though! They do these great big sharing metre long pizza's Although I went for a creamy pasta

Going off to meet some old school friends today at the local soft play centre (most of us have kids) I can't believe I'm up so early again, I just can't seem to sleep in because I get so uncomfortable, ah well only 5 (probably 7) more weeks to go!

scully · 15/02/2009 11:13

Wow Fruity, that's not long at all I remember there being some great restaurants around Battersea Rise, if I have my areas right. Have you tried Dorothy Perkins for jeans? My maternity clothes are a mixture from there, Next and Mothercare. I bought 2 shirts on Saturday, would like another pair of shorts but haven't seen any I like.
We had a nice dinner at home on Sat night, tbh we don't really get into Valentines Day, I rather special things happen for no reason, which they still do on occasion
Only had 2 days of rain so back to sunny and humid today, so I got all my housey jobs out of the way by 11am and that was me for the day, just can't do much strenuous stuff in the heat or I pay for it later.
Gorgeous babygro Lola, but might be a bit warm for Aug. Great price too, especially from there.
Feeling a bit full now, just had some self saucing chocolate pudding and ice cream, delicious, but completely unnecessary

BellaHarry · 15/02/2009 11:18

Hiya! Good morning all! Are we laying in with our other halves this morning??

DH and I had a lovely evening last night, stayed in but had nice dinner, candlelit etc! Really romantic. Fruity sounds like you had a lovely time too, glad you guys enjoyed yourselves x

Molliemooma · 15/02/2009 16:43

Hello everyone, hope you have had a good weekend?
TeeHee I have emailed my address to you on FB, many thanks for the leftovers Now you know my address, you'll know where to drop the LO one off when you need a break Love the sling you and Fruity have bought, looks really comfy.
Georgie Will have to remember those tips you gave TeeHee for the future.
EI How are you doing? Hope you come back soon x
Lola Fantastic news on your blood results, so pleased for you. The babygro is very cute but agree will probably be a little hot in August. I fully understand how you feel about your Mum buying stuff, think mine learned after the first m/c, I've told her to donate what she had bought to a charity shop as I dont want it, (bit selfish I know and as I don't know exactly what she got I wouldn't have a clue anyway!) Congrats on graduating BTW
Bella Sounds like you Lola & Fruity all have the same problem with clothes, hope you find some solutions soon
Fruity Glad to hear you had a lovely Valentines with DP I was worried that I'd log on to some horror story of his drunken ways!
Scully Pudding sounded lovely

AF arrived on time, managed to fit another 3 day test in before consultant on Tuesday, last one showed I didn't ovulate so will be interested to see what this one says as I had a +ve OPK. Hopefully will post a bit more this week, last week was a nightmare, new job plus applying for promotion both externally and internally Less stress this week with any luck
Off to cook lasagne for tea now, DH's favourite as he spoiled me yesterday x

Am loving the tales of us all be spoilt by our OH's - just what we deserve

Mollie af arriving on time and the +ve OPK both sound like promising signs in terms of your body being ready to start trying again Am fully intending to log on tomorrow to say good luck for tuesday, but just in case tomorrow is the nightmare it could well become, GOOD LUCK ON TUESDAY!! Don't take any nonsense! And if you have to wait hours to see the top man, then take a good book - don't let them palm you off with some registrar idiot who doesn't know which end of his stethoscope is up!

Fruity I ordered these over bump jeans from Next last night. Have actually ordered the grey and red top she's got on with them as well come to that Apparently they're being delievered tomorrow afternoon so I'll let you know. Not really holding out much hope tbh, I don't generally get on that well with their trousers, but I've never tried their mat stuff so I'll let you know

Would any of you London ladies be around for lunch on sat 6th March? Or any of you non london ladies come to that, if you can be bothered to get there! Am coming up for my friend's 30th on saturday night and am thinking about coming up friday to see another friend as well...

GOT TO go and do some work... done nothing all weekend [can't-be-bothered emoticon]

HerNameWasLola · 15/02/2009 17:57

PS Georgie if you're still looking for name ideas check out this thread - I know that's not exactly what it's intended for, but I got far more ideas reading this last night than I have from looking at any 'top 100' websites etc. Just a thought Much too early for me to be thinking about that sort of thing but I needed to lay my Honor obsession to rest asap before it took on its own life form! (We really can't use it Mollie - poor little thing would have the same first name AND surname as her cousin as it's the name of J's brother's youngest. Still, it might make his brother finally forgive us for not asking any of his girls to be bridesmaids when we got married I suppose! Not sure what his sister would say though...!)

HerNameWasLola · 15/02/2009 17:59

PPS glad you all agreed with me about the babygro. I think Fruity and Teehee should go and buy it though, smartish! Too cute!

Work avoidance.... moi??

BellaHarry · 15/02/2009 20:13

fruity I've ordered the exact jeans and they are out of stock at the warehouse in my size!!!I have no delivery date as yet!! x

Go on then Bella, make me jealous, have you ordered the 8 or the 6?

BellaHarry · 15/02/2009 22:33

Lola oh yeah, it was you that ordered them, not an 8 anymore, strictly a 10 these days! Glad you took the plunge and bought something comfy! Hope yours arrive when planned, let me know what you think! Are you outed about pg yet, or still keeping it a little discreet?

teeheelaydee · 16/02/2009 11:34

Just a quickie as we are off to Milton Keynes in a bit - v/glamorous don't you think. We are going to IKEA tomorrow and DP's auntie lives there so we are staying in what looks like a gorgeous farmhouse B&B tonight so that we can see her as well.

Shopping list safely in bag with credit card so wish me luck.

Mollie Good luck tomorrow - Don't take any nonsense - are you taking DH - make sure he is ready to participate too - will send vits later in the week.
