Hi everyone...I didnt come over to this thread from the September one as i really had given up hope. So i just wanted everyone from the Sept thread to know that ive just done a test, and ive got a positive result!!! I cant believe it...I didnt think it would happen because we had the move to Germany & so much going on....
Good luck to everyone else, it great to see how many have gotten there too xx

totalmisfit · 04/02/2009 13:09

Hi all, i'm on my first month ttc #2 and CD22 at the moment. Sorry for just butting in like this but ttc is all i can think about at the moment and seemed like a good place to air my hopes/frustrations!

AmandaHugankiss · 04/02/2009 14:17

Hellooooo,

I too am on 1st month of ttc - CD19 (i think - just had mirena coil removed so a bit of guesswork involved). really excited, think about it all the time and as I don't want DH to think I'm obsessive its great to have somewhere to be able to "obsess" comfortably!! ttc #3 BTW. Hope nobody minds, have added myself to list.

Hi All

Congratulations to all with BFP's and I really hope it all goes well for you. Unfortunately AF found me earlier than expected on Monday so I'm going to mosey on over to the November thread.

Good luck to those who haven't tested yet and thanks for all the support and words of wisdom. ((throws a "snowball" of baby dust, since had no snow at all to throw earlier in week!!))

I've taken myself off the list, TTFN x

Ug! I'm fed up, got my gastro results back today, neg for coeliac so they're gonna do a colonoscopy to see whats going on up there. Oh joy! I was hoping this was going to say pos for coeliac and then I could start getting better! Now I've got to start more investigative procedures which might take ages to find anything, meanwhile I'm still ill and not pregnant! Agggghhhhhhhh. Sorry rant over. I promise I'll get back in my box

At least I can switch my obsession from my bowel to my uterus for the next week! Really must get out more.....

JumpingJellyfish · 04/02/2009 21:21

welcome Amanda & totalmisfit- lots of baby dust to you!

I'm 99.9% sure I'm out this month- have very typical pre-AF cramps now, so imagine AF will be here by the morning, bang on time at CD26 Didn't get any spotting this month but I didn't used to get spotting pre-DD so maybe my cycles are finally becoming normal (for me) although still a bit shorter than they used to be. Hoping this is a good thing, and might mean we'll have more luck next cycle, but deep down I am still gutted, had BD'd a lot more this month (though still maybe not enough) and as it's cycle 8 I'm getting quite fed up with it all. I try to convince myself we're only "sort of" trying but really I want to get pregnant now!!

So, trying to not focus on AF coming and instead think about what I can do differently next month- would you ladies recommend OPKs and temping? Not sure I'll manage temping and mornings are crazy in our house so was thinking of buying the expensive Clearblue OPKs and starting them on CD8 through to CD16... Is this a good idea? I really have no idea when I ovulate but as I have a shortish cycle imagine it's between CD12 & 14, but could be wrong....
Sorry waffling here, just trying to quell the disappointment...

Hope those of you having intense dreams are secretly fostering a lil beanie! Good luck those still on the 2ww... xx

JumpingJellyfish · 04/02/2009 22:57

ps. littlepea- remember you well from the Sept. thread- many, many congrats on your BFP , hope it is a long, happy & healthy pregnancy, and hope the move all went well too!

littlepea72 · 04/02/2009 23:11

Jumping, i had been using clearblue o kits and this time i decided not to, we just started bking everyother day after my af ended, right upto a couple of days before when my af was due. I didnt even know when i had ov which for me was scary as i always used the kit. But if you do try the kit then the digital clearblue are the best. Hope they work for you!!

girlwithacurl · 05/02/2009 09:54

One of my friends at work just came into my office with a 12 week scan of his baby... managed not to burst into tears while he was here, but really having to fight at the moment. If anyone comes in I don't know what I am going to say is wrong!
I am so happy for him, but just feel like it is never going to happen for us. Its been almost a year now, and 6 months since the MC. Why hasn't it happened for us?
sorry, just needed to talk.

smallone · 05/02/2009 10:07

Morning! Hope everyone is out enjoying the snow! Any news jumping? CD26 today and I'm feeling very hormonal, like I could burst into tears at any moment, but that's prob AF.

I'm well impressed with your BDing littlepea I might have to resort to that myself eventually! Its obviously successful!
I think I'm going to have to good talking to. I was thinking that he wasn't as bothered about it as me, but when I told him the other day that the chances of me getting pg while I'm still ill are fairly slim, he looked really disappointed. So I'll have to explain his side of the deal!

Girlwithacurl...ive just found out im pregnant, i lost a baby 13 months ago, and had a d&c. I was starting to think something was wrong and wondered why it wasnt happening again. My af only got back to normal 2 months ago & now i think my body wasnt ready until now. Have you seen you doctor? It might be worth going to see them with your fears, maybe they would be able to recommend something. Im sorry you feel that way, i know its hard, untill yesterday i was the same. My sister-in-law got pregnant 4 months ago, she had a mc a couple of weeks after i had, so seeing her getting pregnant again ripped me appart. I hope it wont be to long before things work out for you x

girlwithacurl · 05/02/2009 10:21

thanks littlepea its good to hear some good news stories. I know I need to be patient, but it feels like i have been. I have decided to give it one more cycle and then go to the Dr's going to really go for it (not that we haven't been, but going to try even more if thats possible)

smallone · 05/02/2009 12:43

Sorry girl I missed your message earlier. I hope you're ok. Although I've not had an mc I do feel crushed when those around me announce pg's. At the moment out of a group of 6 who met at postnatal group with #1, 4 are pg, I'd told them I would be trying after xmas coz I'd hoped I would be able to announce I was pg by then. Now they keep asking me if I'm pregnant and I have to blow it off, they just don't know how much it hurts.

I hope you can feel more positive about it, and can get some good support from your GP if you decide to go.

latestarter2009 · 05/02/2009 16:35

wow so much has happened today!

hang in there jumpingjellyfish - you definitely want to work out exactly when you are ovulating both for bding and so you know that everything is happening as it should - like everyone else i like the clearblue digital even though they are more expensive, but it is easier to 'analyse' a smiley face. I used them this month and next month i will also start temping, only because it is a more accurate indicator that ovulation has actually occurred and you can learn more about your cycle. I think (i don't know much about it) you do it first thing in the morning before you get out of bed, which should make it a bit easier.

If no-one has pointed you to www.fertilityfriend.com yet, have a look, it has loads of information and you can use it to chart your temps and other fertility indicators. It all seems a bit scientific, but if you have been trying for a while it might be worth getting a bit more technical, though i also agree with littlepea that the chilled out approach is good too, but maybe after you know what's what.....sorry to bang on...i've just had a coke and it's gone to my head!

sorry you feel so crap girl and small - I've been TTC for 5mins and already wonder how long I can stay positive for...it just takes over and it's like it's the only thing worth achieving...obviously everyone deals with things differently, but I bet everyone here has achieved lots of other cool things in their lives.......i really have to stop drinking coke

girlwithacurl · 05/02/2009 16:45

Thanks guys. Small sorry you didn't get any answers, its so frustrating isn't it. I hope they find something "fixable" soon so you know wher you stand!
Jumping I would definitly reccomend the digital clearblue ones, after a month of using the other ones and squinting at them for ages trying to desipher them it was a godsend to just get a circle or a smily face. The Deanna plan then says you should try that night and for two more nights, then one off, oh and you should be BD'ing every other night from CD10. I personally start a lot later as I know I don't ovulate until CD26.
Good luck!

Thank you ladies for your advice re. the clearblue OPKs, will order some asap! I think latestarter you are completely right- better to know what exactly is going on with my cycle and then try a more laid back approach in the following cycles if no luck. I think I'll try to also do what littlepea did, i.e. BD every other night from whenever AF stops, plus extra whenever I seem to ovulate. Going to be tough as I work most eves, and DH most days, so we usually fall into bed around 12-1 each night wrecked, (then DD usually wakes!) so BDing is often last thing we feel like, though did make quite an effort this last cycle...

Anyway I have started spotting a little bit today, so still assuming AF is on her way, however the cramps have stopped and I'm a bit surprise I'm not in full flow as usually this happens by now. But still not holding out much hope, reckon the witch'll be here properly tomorrow. Feel better now I have a "plan" (to break!) for next cycle...

girlwithacurl- sending you lots of hugs, I am beginning to realise how hard long-term TTCing is, add to that the pain of a mc and I can only imagine how difficult this rollercoaster is. I too wonder why it has happened for us this time, but at least I'm so lucky to already have 2DCs... Really hope you are lucky v soon.

Right, work beckons....

bubblebell- any news?

irishmumwannabe- how are you doing? I think if I recall correctly your cycles are fairly short like mine & you're a day "behind"...and symptoms? fingers crossed for you!

JumpingJellyfish · 05/02/2009 21:21

PS. ralphie sorry to here AF arrived Are you moving on to the Nov thread? I will probably be there tomorrow too.

smallone keeping everything crossed this is your lucky cycle...when do you plan to test/when is AF due? Good luck with the wait xx
