Catz/ Ruby i thought it was that, but get confused with all the info, just wanted to check then I know not to hope for two much this month... but yes will give it a go on Sunday anyway

RubyBuckleberry · 09/01/2009 20:19

TrixieVix that is fabulous news - well done!!! Loads of babydust your way

littlemiss26 · 09/01/2009 20:30

well done trixievix!!! excellent news! just had another faint line on ov stick so am hoping body is trying again to ovulate - either that or its playing tricks on me

anyways off to BD - wish me luck

FifiOK · 09/01/2009 20:39

HomeintheSun My cycle is 28 days. I think with the ovulation sticks you have to look for a very definite result, like a dark line, to interpret a proper positive. It's my first month using them so I wanted to have a bit of the play around before the critical days next week. I suppose I'm expecting to get the green light on Tuesday next week. I've been trying since June but probably 3 months were lost due to MMC ERPC then waiting for first AF back in Sept / Oct. What about you - how many days in your cycle ?

idreamofbeanie · 09/01/2009 20:47

Wow that sounds very hopeful TrixieVix - hope it sticks. I'm sending you lots of positive vibes. It's so exciting when people on the thread get their BFP - and it makes me feel much more confident it'll happen for us soon.

StealthPo09IsHere · 09/01/2009 21:21

ahhhhh
just done a pg test, got a faint positive

WizzyWoo · 09/01/2009 21:23

Trixievix I'm keeping everything crossed for you in the hope you get another BFP tomorrow - I'm so excited that one of us may be pg, it gives me hope!

I'm finding work hard at the mo. I work in a hospital right by the maternity/ante-natal wards. Every day I must see about 5 brand-new babies or pg mums waddling in for appointments and I just want that to be me. Just found out I've got to start attending maternity dept meetings too - little nervous about that since I've just started dealing with concerns/complaints and don't really want to hear hideous tales of the maternity ward I'll be having #2 in when (not if!) I get pg.

Also, AIBU to expect that when I tell my mum something in confidence, ie that DH & I are trying for #2, that she would keep it to myself when I ask her to? Had 2 calls this evening asking when our baby's due, as they've presumed I'm pg since she's telling them we'll have another baby by xmas... Really wanted to avoid having family constantly pestering me (they're a nosey bunch, my lot).

Sorry to moan, just been a long week with AF and desperately want to start BDing! Talk about sexual frustration (sorry, TMI !)

StealthPo09IsHere · 09/01/2009 21:24

Just given DH a celebratory gin and orange and said "here's to baby 2". he replied "or 2 and 3"
I'm shaking

WizzyWoo · 09/01/2009 21:25

StealthPo just seen your post - keeping everything crossed for you too - I'm getting really excited for everyone now!

StealthPo09IsHere · 09/01/2009 21:26

Oh WW, not yanbu about your mum,, that was really insensitive. And ikwym about all the pg women, 5 of my friends were pg with #1 aboutt he same time as me, (2 of them I met at AN) and EVERY SINGLE ONE is currently pg. I am pleased that so far I have managed to be genuinely happy for them as really I have nothing to moan about, but there was always a touch of

bubblebell1 · 09/01/2009 22:01

OMG stealth and trixie im soooo pleased sending positive vibes baby dust and sticky thoughts all your way.

does that mean i can make a graduate list??

OP posts:
gettingstarted · 09/01/2009 22:08

Can I join? I am still on Sept list. CD 18 TTC #1 month 2.
mensareject am also using a syringe as in SS marriage yet have known donor. Info in our 'kit' said rates from syringe were same as usual way. Due to different circumstances - i.e. donor, we leave it for 15 mins or so before insem - I do worry its too long even though the info says its OK. One TMI question Do you leave syringe after as a plug... don't answer if you don't want to... but who to ask??!! I think I've been reading too many ideas from different places

WizzyWoo · 09/01/2009 22:23

Thanks StealthPo, good to know someone understands and it's not just me being hyper-sensitive. Glad you can join your friends now!

bubblebell hope I can join the graduate list before too long. I'm so impatient. Last day of AF so going to start BDing on Monday. Hope DD's cold has gone by then, otherwise I can see us having a bad case of coitus interruptus...

Joy27 · 09/01/2009 22:30

Hello- this thread is massive now, but can I join in please?

I'm Joy27- ttc#1 - CD1

Since miscarrying last July (7 weeks pg I think- was a bit complicated), I've had cycles of 24-28 days. This month had my hopes up with an unprecedented 31 days... was whooping it up on the "september baby" thread thinking my luck was in... then period started tonight.

Bummer.

So I'm going to decamp here- if that's OK?
Onwards and upwards. Here's to squishy autumn babies all round.

idreamofbeanie · 09/01/2009 22:58

Congratulations stealth - this seems to be a lucky month! I'm so excited for you and trixievix and just a bit .

Hi Joy27 welcome to the thread. We're a friendly bunch. Sorry about your miscarriage - it must be awful - and hope you have your autumn baby.

Wizzywoo - I would be annoyed with my mum if she did that but also know how excited she was when my SIL was pregnant so wouldn't be surprised if she couldn't keep it to herself. I'm not saying it was okay for your mum to tell other people but if it was out of excitment you could maybe look at it as a good thing .

WizzyWoo · 09/01/2009 23:08

Wise words, Beanie, I hadn't thought of it that way. I'm glad I didn't ring her earlier as that would never have crossed my mind and I would have hurt her feelings if I told her off.

Pull up a pew round the campfire Joy, really sorry to hear about your miscarriage last year. We're all rooting for you to have a sticky bean followed by bouncing baby this time round

Hobnobfanatic · 09/01/2009 23:20

Wow - congratulations Stealth - and Trixie too.

Two close friends and a neighbour have all announced they are 12 weeks' pregnant this week. I'm so thrilled for them - but jealous beyond words too!

CD 8 for me today, so will be BD-ing over the weekend, then no DP until Weds and then absent again until the following weekend.

I am sooooo paranoid that we're too old to conceive. I can't read any statistics anymore as they just panic me!

Good luck, everyone!

Joy27 · 09/01/2009 23:21

Thanks for the welcome wizzywoo and idreamofbeanie (great name btw). Will try to catch up on who's around on this thread and where they're up to- might take me a while though, seems like this is a full thread!

It also seems like there have been a couple of BFPs today- congratulations ladies!

Anyone else near the start of their cycle? I'm having a v fed up CD1 after really thinking this might have been our month (period late and everything).

StealthPo09IsHere · 10/01/2009 07:20

hi gettingstarted and joy

amanda12 · 10/01/2009 07:51

Congratulations Stealth and trixie !! Lets hope these are the first of many this month.

Well AF has finished and so i think i am going to follow Bubbles lead and go on a bd marathon for the nxt 10 days. Had a bit of a wobble last couple of days about whether i am crazy going for another one and if i will be able to cope with 4dc. But im over it and feeling very positive that this wil be my month.
Good luck to everyone

RipMacWinkle · 10/01/2009 07:55

Am going to de-lurk for a moment.

Stealth - many, many congratulations!!!

TrixieVix - keeping everything crossed that you get a lovely BFP this morning.

I'm quietly in for October but not holding out much hope. That said, since DS is an October baby (and so are DH and I) maybe it's just our luck.....

TrixieVix · 10/01/2009 08:33

OH MY GOD...just done 2 different tests and got 2 pink lines on one, followed by the second test saying PREGNANT!!!!

I feel really weird about it - soooo excited, but so, I don't know...weirded out by it too. Is that normal?

Thank you all for your positive words and vibes - someting must have worked!

So pleased for everyone else too - that's fantastic news. Hope all goes well for everyone!

Just goes to show that you can not have AF for months and think you're not ovulating and still get pg!

Will stay with this thread to see how you all get on - thinking positively for you all xx

Congratulations stealth and trix, and hello joy GettingStarted - we usually put it straight into the syringe and use it straight away. I worry about it dying in the syringe i don't leave the syringe in, i tried it once but it felt so uncomfortable but i do lie on pillows for half an hour each time. I'm glad that the success rates are about the same, good luck to you. I'm on cd21 and the only symptom i have is sore nipples! And feeling hot in the night, but could be caused by Clomid?
