Hi All, have been on a couple of ttc hreads but due to sad arrival of af yesterday and x2 negative pg testa thought I'd start a September one.

We are ttc#2 we already have dd(2) and had a mc in September this will be cycle 3 since mc.

Mc hit me hard, more so than other adverse life events for some reason also head full of other stuff such as trying to complete a Post grad Diploma in Cognitive Therapy!!

Anyway want to try to be optimistic and hopeful and not (too!) obsessive this month!

Anyone else fancy joining?? xx

bubblebell1 · 04/01/2009 14:17

well.... i normally have a 30 day cycle... so if i were you......i would of bd'd on cycle days 12 - 18 just to make sure. thats the 19th - 25th dec.. but it can only take 1 attempt at bding!!

i use fertility friend. i chart my temp, watch for ewcm and cervix position.

go get some tests.. we need more bfps

mosschops30 · 04/01/2009 14:21

I tried that FF but it was all too much, and temp is such an unreliable indicator of anything other than infection so not sure how much of it I beleive.
We tried lots on Xmas week so would have been the right time (22nd/23rd/25th/27th) fingers crossed.
I have terrible lower back pain though that I get before AF

WarmSeaBreeze · 04/01/2009 14:34

Hi Ladies

I am out! Good luck to all those on the 2ww xx

bubblebell1 · 04/01/2009 14:36

stay positive! when i was pregnant with ds 1 i had aches and pains down below that went round my lower back. i went to dr after a few days and they did the test that showed i was pregnant! so it aint over til the fat lady sings!

bubblebell1 · 04/01/2009 14:37

oh warm! im sorry for you. wishing you luck for next month

mosschops30 · 04/01/2009 14:46

sorry warm

KatB · 04/01/2009 16:56

Hey guys can I join you? I'm ttc straight after an early (5 wks) mc so God knows where my cycles will be but generally I'm a 28 days girl I have 3 DCs all conceived accidentally - I'm generally considered to be the most fertile person my friends know - no pressure then????

Anyway my kids are 12,10 and 5, I'm 29 and DH is 28. Had a loss 3 years ago (accidental pg) and then another loss 2 weeks ago (accidental pg). So despite ttc my 6th pregnancy this is actually the first time I have ttc

Jumped on Dh on CD 8, 10, 11 and 13. Currently on CD 15 an d plan on another BD tonight

Also I'm in my final year of a degree in biomed. Got my finals in May so happy to have a Sept baby. Canm't believe how impatient I am though! It's almost like as soon as you decide to ttc you turn into a mad woman obsessing about oving and cycles!!

Good luck to all here, I read the whole thread and you guys made me laugh!

xxxx

bubblebell1 · 04/01/2009 16:58

hi kat!! good luck with ttc and exams coming up!! your are brave

KatB · 04/01/2009 17:05

No just mental I mean, who wants 4 kids??? My youngest daughter just started school and stupid me decides this is a good time to have another one.
My last preg was a shock but when it ended in mc we found we were disappointed so here i am!
I started having babies at 16, I'll probably still be having them at 46! I like my big age gaps - almost had a breakdown having 2 years between my eldest 2. So much easier when I had my last one and the others were at school.
xx

JumpingJellyfish · 04/01/2009 17:08

Just quickly popping on, as I can't resist
Welcome Kat (and any other newcomers!)- this is a very friendly thread with no such thing as TMI! I'm sure you are very busy- take my hat off to you juggling a degree in biomed with 4DCs- go girl! Sorry about the MC though, hope this month is lucky for you x

Bubblebell hurrah your AF is finally here! Not usually do we greet an AF with such enthusiasm, but it must be such a relief to finally know where you are & to start TTC knowing dates etc- good luck for this cycle! Sorry to hear about the pains on NYE though, hope that doesn't happen again. Might well be joining your Oct thread in 9 days...not that I'm counting or anything

Good luck all with the BDing & horrid 2ww...
mosschops did you buy another test? Are you resisting using it? Fingers crossed for you!
minx hope you get some answer one way or another v soon (hoping for a BFP obviously!) xx
irish FWIW I never had early pregnancy symptoms until at least 6 weeks pregnant- the cramps I felt were the same as AF ones, and at the same time, but my boobs did start growing quickly around the time AF was due. I've only even suspected being pregnant due to AF not appearing when it should have... Hoping the next week doesn't drag too much!

gettingstarted · 04/01/2009 18:18

So how do I know when to move to the october thread? I can't work out my dates, I'm still forcusing on all the BDing (got the hang of it a lot more this month)... the syringe that is...you said no such thing as TMI!

BelgradeGirl · 04/01/2009 18:28

Hi everyone
Also hoping for a September arrival! We've been ttc#1 for seven months now, no luck at all. Husband has had tests and all good. I'm in that 'hoping' bit of the month now but figure that AF will arrive this week - getting used to being disappointed! Am also having acupuncture as I heard this can help? Anyone else tried this?
BelgradeGirl

littlepea72 · 04/01/2009 20:13

Sorry Warm...I think i will be joining you, thought i was taking it today, but so far nothing, will no doubt arrive in my sleep....bloody thing!

mosschops30 · 04/01/2009 21:48

yes I got a test but am leaving it til the morning now for FMU
Good luck to all those testing this week may you not move onto the October thread

Issy42 · 04/01/2009 23:37

Good luck in the morning mosschops. Hope AF stays away Littlepea. Sorry yours arrived Warm and glad you finally got yours bubblebell. Thanks for the good wishes bubble - unlikely but possible eh. Told ex and he's OK at least until we know the outcome so that's a relief. Hope this is your month.

Good luck to everyone else too xx.

HomeintheSun · 05/01/2009 08:24

I think looking at my dates I'll be out for a September baby after all, so I have up dated the list, packed my bags and I'm off to the October thread, thanks for having me it's been nice. Good luck everyone.

well i did a test, last night because I couldnt wait
It was of course a BFN

I am consoling myself with the fact that AF is not due til Thurs and so may not be showing in tests and also did it last thing at night instead of with FMU

Still though and already feel I am going to turn into a total brat if not pg

aww moss im sorry. fingers crossed you still get your bfp at the end of the week

HeadFairy · 05/01/2009 12:17

Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear about your bfn mosschops... you've still got a chance this week though, so hopefully it'll be a bfp by the end of the week.

Bubble, such good news to hear af has arrived, it is wierd though, cos everything you described sounded just like ov. Normally my cervix drops down before af, well in fact a couple of days after ov it drops down and hardens. Well, either way, it's nice to know where you are and finally put yourself on cd1!

Welcome to all the newcomers, hope this is your lucky month!

Homeinthesun, I'll probably be seeing you on the oct thread, feel very premenstrual

MoreThanChocolate · 05/01/2009 12:40

Hi everyone hope the 2ww is not too punishing and brings the right results for you.

bubble i do find ovulation can sometimes be very painful - lasting a few hours usually - but if you got AF it seems unlikely it was that. Anyway hope you are ok now.

tmi alert
no wonder ovulation can hurt
please don't follow the link if you are squeemish (sp?)

  • i'm still waiting for mine this month so may be out of range for the chance of a september baby
irishmumwannabe · 05/01/2009 13:10

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for all those who are out - mosschops here's hoping you get a bfp soon.

I've been feeling ill since Froday - on Friday I had to get up in the middle of the night and (TMI) had really bad diarrhoea (sp). Last night was the same - and now today have the most awful stomach cramps - can't think what it is. I also have a sharp pain in my left side quite low down my abdomen.

I've had some lunch but that hasn't helped (chicken and stuffing wrap and a pear)

Anyway just feeling sorry for myself. Hope everyone else is feeling good and I tell you I can't wait to do my test at the weekend. I'm resisting the "6 days before" tests - I must be strong!

bubblebell1 · 05/01/2009 13:50

hope you feel better soon irish

head i too thought i was ovulating! but nevermind lets hope i am working properly again.

morethan that article was really interesting. its wierd but thats not what i imagined them to look like mind you dont know what i did imagine them to look like

HeadFairy · 05/01/2009 14:03

Morethan, that is gruesomely fascinating. It's like a giant spot!!! bleurgh! I love the comment beneath.... too much information LOL!

Gateau · 05/01/2009 15:17

Quick question as I'm at work:
There has been little BD-ing in Gateauland as my DH and I have been apart during my critical time (as far as I know it is, anyway.
Clutching at straws here, but is it possible to conceive on cd6/7 or cd 14 of a short cycle. My cycle varies between 23-25 days. Haven't a clue when or if I've ov'd this month as I've had no signs.
