OK girls, will go and get the list, but have lots of comfy sofa's and chairs, chocolate cake and virtual champagne.

Good luck and positive vibes to us all!

yes but. I am determined to be negative ...

I just feel like my luteal phase is going to go back to being 8 or 9 days because my ovulation day seems to be heading back to day 15/16.

thanks for all the support. I am doing the fertility monitor trial, maybe I should give that up.

The reason I came off the Agnus Castus was because I have an appointment with a fertility person in January and I wanted to go with my 'natural' cycle. I am 39 in April, I am too old for free IVF (Am in Wales) and so all I can hope to get out of the fertility thing is hopefully something which is simple for them to fix.

I know I should be looking forward to January and dealing with it then but it's not likely they will even start any investigations for another month or more and I will be creeping closer and closer to 40 by that time.

My work collegaue had a baby shower today (it's her last day before maternity leave) plus I have to sit and read stuff about other people in my family who are enjoying the first few months of their PFB's life and all this brings, plus I seem to get 2 weeks of emotional upset before my period arrives, plus I had a disagreement with my other half today, plus I am just a miserable barren old bat

ho hum.

sorry guys. I'll be ok soon. Until next time. I am assuming I won't ovulate this month.

pinkie08 · 19/12/2008 16:19

dont beat yourself up, the way you feel is how we all feel when its our turn to be down.

I am in the similar boat but on clomid, and you hear all the success stories and get told it will happen to me, but it hasnt. I now feel like why will it happen this month and it hasnt previously but am still just bding asap so can tell myelf i am doing as much as i could have.

The fertility person will sort it, i just know it, there are progesterone injections, clomid and all sorts of other things that they can do. We are in Manchester and not eligible for free IVF cycle as i have dd from previous marriage.

I cant bear all the pg women around us and we have to just smile and say ooh ahh.

we can be in bad moods together

beanieb · 19/12/2008 16:22

Thanks Pinkie. Sounds like you've got a lot to stress about too. I think it's so easy to become quickly bound up in misery over all this TTC lark. I should be excited about the fertility thing really. Am just a misery at the moment.

Do you get several tries with clomid (Not sure how it works)? Good luck with it, I am sure it will happen

pinkie08 · 19/12/2008 16:28

Yes you get a number of cycles depending on your doc, then a break and either back to clomid or something else.

Also if you read the Deanna Plan it says that stress is normal so i dont stress about the fact that i am stressed about it.

I am on last one of 4 and waiting for the fertility specialist to give me an app so may have a month or so off if it doesnt come through for January.

I am sure it will happen for both of us, its just normal to get despondent too, i think if you recognise it which you do then its fine, rant away.

beanieb · 20/12/2008 16:31

Another high - still no peak. Meh!

thegreatescape · 20/12/2008 17:36

beanieb - so sorry to hear about your trials and tribulations. I'm nearly 36 so starting to feel time not really on my side so much and my dh is 46 so his swimmers are slowing down a bit too! Read an article about babies of older fathers being more likely to suffer from autism so now have to worry about that as well as the meds I'm on!

I am now back on CD 4 and was really disappointed when AF arrived as I was so hoping for a bfp in my stocking - oh well, diamonds will have to do
I'm keeping my fingers crossed you get a little welsh bubba in 2009.

beanieb · 20/12/2008 20:37

Crossing fingers for you too let's hope we all get some good news in January. I think I will get a peak tomorrow, my boobs are hurting and I think I had some kind of ovulation rage yesterday!

thegreatescape · 20/12/2008 21:05

I keep thinking about next christmas and hoping i will at least have a bump, if not another dc. The thing that got me this month is I suddenly realised that ds may be an only child. I always thought I'd have at least 2, although I've never taken getting pg for granted, even with ds, I never imagined having one. It makes me think i need to do a rewind and do everything again 'properly'

btw, I know there's nothing wrong with having one child, its just I never thought it would be my situation. (I've thought in the past I might have no children, 2 or 3 but never one, weirdly).

thegreatescape · 20/12/2008 21:06

oops!

beanieb · 20/12/2008 21:10

Weirdly I was about to post in another thread that a brilliant outcome for me would be to have twins, as I am pretty sure I don't have enough time left for 2 pregnancies. I am one of three and I've always thought of having children not just one child. I love having siblings.

My dad was an only child though and he had a real deep bond with his cousin.

thegreatescape · 20/12/2008 21:15

I am also one of three and always wanted three. My brother had 3 kids. My dh is one of 2 and wants to stop at 2 though. So I'm thinking twins would be good too! My gm was a twin so maybe, you never know...

Apparently you are statistically more likely to have twins as an older mum (presumably they filtered out those who had IVF) if that helps but lets not get greedy.

beanieb · 21/12/2008 09:38

Another high. Just read the info pack and it says if you get several highs it's possible you're just not going to ovulate. Si I recon I can count myself out this month.

beanieb · 21/12/2008 19:06

me again!

Went to see mysister with my mum and thought I would try out 'talking about my conception issues without crying and being a twat' the result was mostly silence. I think they are scared to talk openly about it with me and that really irritates me but maybe it's my fault for falling apart all the time

beanie - I'm back to CD 6 now - Pah! The only time I've been top of the bloody class! So sorry you didn't get the support you wanted, maybe your family are terrified of saying anything and upsetting you so only manage silence. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't care, just that they are not very good at expressing it perhaps.

tinselroundtherock · 22/12/2008 20:49

Beanie, read your post and just thought of the conversation i had with my gran today. Silence was the way with my family, as they all seem to have had children under 25 and under 20, and previously have just said unkind comments about my age....

However, tonight my Gran, yes my Gran, explained that she had the opposite problem. That at 23 with 3 children she was petrified it would happen again and they couldn't afford another child, so were very careful. She then gave me some moral support...which made a change from other previous comments.

Take care and here's wishing for 2009.

theboob · 22/12/2008 20:55

hi can i join your thread
i have had my inplant removed today and have no idea about cycles and everything else, this will be dc 4 and i cant wait

MollieandtheIvy · 22/12/2008 21:21

Beanie So sorry you didn't get the support you needed from your family Like Blackrock said maybe they were worried about upsetting you, but still a few words would have helped really
theboob Hello and welcome, good luck for 2009

Well I'm really p@ssed off at the moment I'm fed up of people going on and on about Christmas being for kids and how they can't wait to see their LO's faces opening their pressies, it's quite obvious that when we grow up Christmas is for kids without people going on and on about it! (I know I will be like it if and when I have a LO )
I think as it was Christmas Day last year I started having spotting and realised things weren't right doesn't really help as it's all I can think about, and here I am three pg's later and no baby or bump! Really had enough at the moment, and with no end in sight and not able to TTC until Feb (at least) I am struggling to be positive about anything! Somebody please slap me!
Thanks for listening girls, sorry to be so miserable but I needed to vent!

theboob · 22/12/2008 22:06

thanks molly
it sounds like your going through i rough time, but think positive and all the best for 2009 also for you x

ClaireDeLoon · 22/12/2008 22:21

Welcome the boob and good luck for a 2009 baby.

Mollie I'm sorry you're feeling so pissed off, I wish I could change things for all of us I really so

Beanie sorry you didn't get the response you wanted, silence must have been hard to bear. But you were very brave to raise the subject. My family know about the mc but no-one seems to care or ask how things are now. I remember saying to my mum we were going away because it was our due date and we didn't want to be at home and she changed the subject. It all gets very hurtful when you want to share things with those that should just care unconditionally then you realise you can't.

beanieb · 23/12/2008 10:29

Still a High! my instruction booklet suggests this means I have not ovulated. Hrrmmph.

Feel like I was a bit mean about my family. I know they have problems talking to me about it because I can be so emotional. My sister helpfully mailed me some stuff about adoption telling me to tell her to back off if she was doing the wrong thing. I told her to back off. but we're ok now.

Welcome theboob

Sorry you are pissed off mollie rant away, I went to see my friends and her three kids last night and I didn't think of my 'situation' once which is a move forward [famile]

beanieb · 23/12/2008 10:52

Oh and ... I am not sure if something has happened to me to make people look at me and ask but in the last 24 hours I have had three people ask me 'so are you going to have children then?'

No one has ever really asked me this. Most people who know me well, know I am having issues. I amm a bit about it because it seems everyone is now looking at me and thinking 'she should get on and have kids' and I have to say 'well, I don't know - maybe'

would it be awfully rude of me to say to people 'well hopefully, I have been trying for a year with no success' just to shut them up!
