Beanie Sorry for BFN but as the others have said it maybe too early yet. As for your appointment at the hospital, would it be worth ringing them up to discuss your fears or chatting to your GP who is obviously aware of your TTC mission? I can understand your worries, but I presume you've been having health issues so getting those sorted now you might need to take a couple of mths off TTC. I know you are worried about the clock ticking away but it might be your body needs to be stabilised before it's ready for pg?? I don't know it's just an idea!
Zen Any news??
Blackrock Loving the music mix!!!
Shayer Or should I say Mincemeat Queen very impressed at your culinary skills, like Jaamy said I'd like to whisper implantation bleed too
Jaamy & Claire Hope you are both OK?

beanie so sorry you are back at the top FWIW i would go for the investigation that the doc is recommending as either way it will help to determine why you are having kidney infections] i suffer with these and mine are non specific but painful non the less but i had the investigations and it isnt painful having the different investigations just uncomfortable i hope this gets sorted out for you soon and dont worry about the radiation it is not like you are exposed for long periods of time on a regular basis also if you were going to go for fertility tests in the future one of these is using radiation dye (HGC) and it is seen to be completelty safe and possibly a help towards TTC as it flushes the tubes out so if that makes any sense at all what i am trying to say is good luck and try not to worry

I was also whispering implantation bleed - but got proper bleeding this morning. Wondering if it was CP now. Anyway, pondering whether Weds was CD1 or if today is!

Sorry for CD17, Beanie. Personally I'd go for the xray even if scans haven't worked - sorting out health problems has to be helpful. Can understand why you're not keen though, I was the same about my Xray on Weds and that was a bit more black & white.

Hang on in there Zen and test again with first water passing when you wake up, but leave it a couple more days if you can.

I think you can get more sensitive tests, but am unfamilar. Anyone know??

Access Diagnostics do some, but by the time they've arrived you might as well have used a normal one! I had some, but Mr Hol handily chucked them out while tidying the bathroom . Course no idea if they make a difference or not! Hope it's a BFP next time, zen

Am enjoying a looovely glass of wine now that I'm 100% sure I'm not up the duff

hope you don't mind me posting on your thread but totally fed up. I actually got one of the bloody smiley faces this morn on my ovulation kit (day 17 in a 27 day cycle) and now my dh has 'manflu' so there will be no bding going on. Last time was tues (I think) so will probably miss this month. Was really hoping for a bfp for xmas. Very disappointed

hello, thanks for the warm welcome - might be tempted to scoff the whole packet of cookies at the mo. Have been ttc since sept so not long I guess in the general scheme of things. I have one ds of 20 months who also throws spanners in the ttc works! When ttc it was all a big adventure, bd every other day at least, now just doing it often enough can be tricky! On the plus side, it seems i'm not ovulating when i thought I was so useful to know I guess.

Report
thegreatescape · 06/12/2008 22:10

i meant 'when ttc him' as in ds. God I'm not making any sense. Have been drinking cheap cava. Off to ply dh with some to see if he will 'give up the goods'. Will let you know if my feminine wiles have worked unless tmi.

Hi thegreatescape I used an ov kit a couple of months and got exactly the same day 17 on 27 day cycle whereas I thoght ov would be quite a bit earlier than that.

Have dirched ov stick for now though as the 2 previous times I got pregnant (1 dd and 1mc in Sept) it just happened only a vague idea when ovulating etc.

The ov sticks seem to make everything a bit stressful tbh!! My friend asked me an intersting question today when I said it was taking a lot longer this time, if I'd actually emotionally "let go" of the mc and my body wasn't "letting" me get pg.

I wonder whether it's true, if I need time to process things a bit cos still not back to my old self. Still irritable and strung out a lot of the time.

people telling me to relax not helping either, I'm sure we've all heard THAT!!!

Shayer {fsad] TEW didn't stay away I see! I would probably count the first full day of bleeding rather than Weds, but see what the others think. Sorry it wasn't your month x
Zen Oh my, go and get a clearblue digital right now please!!!!
EI Hello lovely lady, how are you doing?
Thegreatescape Welcome to our thread, you are definately in the right place to moan about TTC If you let me know your stats we can add you to the list if you want.
peacelily I can totally relate to everything you said, I've had 3 m/c's this year and it just seems to heighten the frustration and stress, people say "it will happen" "Just relax" and I want to poke their eyes out. Our bodies are geared up for this each month so there is no getting away from it unfortunately.

I have to say that not TTC for the last 3 months has actually been really relaxing and I never thought it would be. I think it's only because I know I want to give the next pg all the chances I can get, so waiting to see consultant on Tuesday. I have even started OVing on day 14 (yesterday) which is unheard of normally CD16/17/18, I have to confess to nearly giving in to be napalmed yesterday It was very tempting to get back on the rollercoaster It's also brought DH and I closer together as now we have "nookie" rather than BD

So make the most of chilled out Mollie coz come the New Year I will be back to stressed out, worrying and obsessive Mollie

hi all! dh made a bit of a last minute recovery last night so bd occurred! At least now if nothing happens this month I think i'll be more relaxed about it rather than feeling like we 'missed our chance' so to speak.

mollie - Ds is 20 months and was conceived in about 6 weeks of ttc. This was a surprise as I'd gone into it telling dh it could take 6-12 months and not wanting to take anything for granted. This time we have been ttc for about 4 cycles and I'm now on cd 18 of a 27 day cycle. Although not always regular.

Hi guys, Beanie i'm sorry AF got you, if I where you I would have the xray and then at least its one more thing ticked off.

Hi to the greatescape hope your finding yourself at home here

Well i tested again this morning and got the same result, I have a cb in the cupboard (free courtest of mumsnet) so have been saving it until i feel justified. The other tests have been ebay ones. I'm on cd33 today and have ocassionally had a 34day cycle, but probably only twice and last month was only 28 days. Don't know whether to leave it until Tuesday or test with cb, what does everyone think. Again only a few cramps today, but could hat be because AF would be due? I have no symtoms is that normal?? Please help at the moment i can't think of anything else!!

dingdong (Leslie Phillips' voice required!) - poor dh too knackered to manage 'one for luck' so will just have to wait and see what happens!

Zen - last month had a 34 day cycle too which was really unusual for me so ended up testing loads of times but turned out I was just late However, sometimes you are 'late' for a reason so cb at the ready and good luck!

bubble - hope things go ok at the the drs today. Maybe write a list of your concerns/questions before you go in so you don't feel so flustered.

Bubblebell, have you recently come off teh pill?

It may be that your body is getting back to normal. My first Cycle after coming of the pill was about a week longer than my usual cycle and I really thought I was one of the lucky ones who get pregnant within a month of trying.

Of course maybe you haven't just come off the pill so I am talking nonsense.

I have had a couple of bizzarely long cycles since and it is really frustrating.

If you have only recently started trying your Doc may try to fob you off but tell him/her your concerns about you not ovulating for sure.
