Morning ladies

Well it is almost the end of my christmas break and back to work tomorrow...

I hope everyone is well.

PnM yay for haircuts. I used to go for pretty much an annual shearing too. There's no scope for half-measures when you only go once a year! Has your egg appeared yet? I think mine did a couple of days ago but since I have been getting up at random late times (and my temps are off) it is hard to tell. I just hope we caught it properly...

Twilightsurfer I have no idea who you are but any friend of Bucky's...

Ei what are you doing up so late Missus? I have to agree that 2009 is going to be fabulous

Waves to MOB, Caitni (did you book your HSG yet?), Bucky, our new mummies and all lurkers.

Bucky2008 · 04/01/2009 11:28

Morning all....

MrsH Twilightsurfer was in the 'ttc waiting room' years ago when I first started posting on MN. On about her 13th cycle she got a BFP and then MC I think and then the very next month she got another BFP. She must have had that baby long ago and I am still here...how sad is THAT!!! Anywhere I saw her posting in antenatal so I popped in and said hi...

Nothing new here, CM was def different this month with the Clomid. I actually think there was way more . It seems to have gone now though so I think I ov. I'm not temping cos it makes me crazy, but I had the mittelschmerz thingy on CD12 and EWCM between there and CD15 and now it is going so I guess that was it. BD'd loads as we are both at home and bored witless LOL. So we will see yet again. 2ww now.

I'm back at work tomorrow too, I am half looking forward to it and half not as I am no really busy at the moment. Well I am actally but I am only resourced for 2 days a week so I am supposed to do 5 days work in 2 days in order to not overspend our fees. Anyway in short I will be stressed 2 days a week and bored for 3!

Well this is all about me...hope you are all good today. I'm glad to be shanging out with you again. x

Happy New Year!!

Hope all are well and you got down to some serious and not so serious baby-making over the holidays. I thought I'd pop in and give Bucky a great big virtual hug as I'd spotted she was back!

As a few people have already said, there are a lot of success stories with Clomid. DH's BF's wife was on a course of Clomid, she suffered with terrible PMS - cramping and moodswings - but I imagine it was all worth it as she's now 6 months PG. This was after 4 MCs (2 at 10 weeks, 2 CPs) and a load of tests that couldn't find any problems with either her or her DH.

MOB congratulations on your BFPs! Bet you can't wait to hit the 12 week point.

Hope the rest of you enjoyed xmas etc.

Quick update from the DG camp. Alfredo (now 18 wks or 4 mo) has been doing marvellously since the New Year. He had his first sleepover at my mum's for NYE and since we've been back we've started to let him self-settle when he wakes during the night. So far we've been going up to 6 hours between nightfeeds so am getting a lot more sleep than previously. He's putting on tonnes of weight and has scaled up from the 9th centile to the 50th all on breastfeeding. He's a lovely smiley baby and we love him lots. DGxx

TwilightSurfer · 05/01/2009 19:41

WOW DG stopped by too. {{{waves to DG}}}

Bucky your symptoms sound spot on. I'll be watching out for good news in 10 days or more.

Bucky2008 · 05/01/2009 19:49

Aw , its like a reunion, I feel all warm and gooey .

Twilight I hope my memory serves me correctly and I am not remembering something that never happened , wouldn't be the first time LOL!

DG Woohoo, how fab Alfredo is . Can you come out to play yet? Lunch is long overdue!

MrsH I saved you some shampers....its cool that you are all on FB too now. Ei and MOB where are you? You need to get Facebooking....

Bucky you remembered well. Took me 13 MONTHS to get that BFP then MCed at 9W6D. BUT CONCEIVED AGAIN just 17 days later. My little girl, Reese is 20 weeks old exactly today....well in 2 hours and 56 minutes she will be exactly 20 weeks. And wildly enough Reese is exactly 4 years and 6 months, to the day, younger than her big sister. BOTH baked for 268 days.

You've just got to keep trying!!

Here's some of my special baby dust.
Best wishes to you and every other lady on this thread.

Hello all

DG how nice to see you. I'm glad to hear everything is going well with little Alfredo and 50th centile is great. You must make good milk!

Bucky I have now decided not to drink again until Feb so you can keep the champagne for yourself... . It sounds like you hit the right time for schtupping so hopefully in what, about 8 days?, we'll have some nice news from you...

Twilightsurfer thanks for the babydust. And congratulations (a bit late) on your latest addition. God, why does it take so flipping long to get pregnant, though???

PnM, Caitni, Ei and Mob where the bleeding heck are you all?

Well I am officially 3 dpo although I am not convinced I really ovulated. It seems that alcohol dries up my CM. Is that possible? DH did his manly duty at the right times as ever so ... fingers crossed.

Hope you're all enjoying 2009 thus far.

PicknMix · 05/01/2009 21:07

Evening ladies!

I remember you from the Waiting Room Twilight, you're the fabulous list maker aren't you?? Congrats on the arrival of Reese

Hiya DG! Sounds like Alfredo is doing fantastically! You sound totally loved up with him, am so pleased for you!

Glad to hear you think the egg turned up MrsH . Fingers crossed for you, no idea re alcohol and cm, sorry. Although am sure partaking in some virtual shampers won't effect it

Things are sounding good Bucky, am hoping clomid does its stuff for you this month!

How are you doing Caitni and Ei?! And Mob?

Hope the feeding routine is settling down now Mibbes?

I started my new job today (surely the laws of pregnativity state that new year + new job = bfp??!) am exhausted but in a good way. Head is spinning as have a lot to learn over the nxt week so prob off to bed now! On Cd36 now, no sign of egg, af, nothing, nada. Boobs normal, not bloated, no cm, no spots. Wierd, eh?

Take care everyone, apologies if I've missed anyone, totally unintentional! Xx

Caitni · 05/01/2009 23:18

evening ladies,

just a quick note from me - been busy. Though great to see so many ladies on here!

My spotting stopped a couple of days ago and still no sign of AF - I think I'm 13 dpo now. Up until last month, my luteal phase was always 12 days, but I was exactly the same last month with a 13 day luteal phase. Don't want to get my hopes up so have decided not to test unless no AF by Wednesday.

I'll check back in tomorrow and read everyone's messages properly.

Night night for now
xx

MrsHappy · 06/01/2009 07:41

Oooh Caitni how exciting. Fingers crossed for you.

Picknmix that is an absolutely perfect application of the laws of pregnativity. It would be even better for purposes of sods the law if in changing jobs you had lost your rights to enhanced maternity leave, but none the less I look forward to hearing about a little jelly baby ASAP!

Busy now, BBL.

Caitni · 06/01/2009 23:29

Hi Ladies

Bucky I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you on your tww - here's hoping clomid the wonder drug works for you

MrsH glad your egg turned up and here's hoping you caught it good and proper!

PnM hope the new job is going well. This is definitely a time of the law of pregnativity to kick in and get you your BFP!!

MOB hope things are good with you lady after last week xx

And big waves to Ei and all the other ladies I've not mentioned by name - hope everyone's well

So I'm definitely out now and onto cycle 17 as AF arrived today, though not with a bang but a whimper (TMI ALERT but it's quite a light flow - barely a need for a panty liner). Am glad I didn't waste any tests now!!

I'll call and book in my HSG tomorrow - it'll probably be next Thurs if they have appointments. I also got my appointment at the sub fertility unit for 2 Feb...unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel that as the big news chez caitni is that we've decided to move back to London! Much as I love Brighton, the roughly four hours a day commuting is killing my DH. He works much later hours than me usually so consistently getting home late and then up again before dawn is too much. So we're moving to Stroud Green/Finsbury Park on 24 Jan (it's a lovely garden flat, less than half an hour to work for each of us and close to lovely Crouch End and lots of friends!). Top of my list of things to do when we move is to find a GP and ask for a referral to a fertility consultant straight away...

Sorry for the ramble - I'm pretty that I'm out again this month so am trying to avoid MN a bit (am also v busy at work as the other two people in my dept are both out on paternity leave at the moment).

Hope everyone's well and not too freezing

HappyandEiknowit · 06/01/2009 23:31

hi ladies
just checking in as i am shamefully preoccupied with my new fave book series and cant seem to drag my eyes away from them for long enough to eat let alone switch the laptop on also DH has basically snuggled up to facebook exclusively for the past 5/6 days as my brother (his best friend) has now joined facebook and they have been engrossed in conversation all night
anyway enough from me and my dullities
hello to everyone and good luck to our testers
hi to the old friends and lovely to see you- you are the light at the end of our desperate tunnel
MOB i hope everything is ok xx my friend goes for her initial meeting to start ivf tomorrow night with a couple of other couples so she has been eager to hear of your progress
xx ei xx

MrsHappy · 07/01/2009 07:35

Caitni - we will practically be neighbours! I live the other side of crouch end (sort of). So we can have mini-wimblewaif meet-ups if need be! Sorry to hear that you are out again, but at least now you can start getting some medical people more involved.

Ei I am glad you are well, but what are these gripping books?

Bucky where are you in your 2WW now?

Hello to everyone else. I hope you're all fine.

I am 5po and my temp is doing crazy things - bouncing around (above the line) but sort of zig-zagging about and not getting as high as normal. I know it could be the colder weather, but I sort of think already it means I am out. Even though I had a temp rise I am not totally convinced I ovulated this month and when I get pg my temps tend to be very very even. Ho hum, I guess I just have to resign myself to having that nasty op...

Back later, I expect.

Bucky2008 · 07/01/2009 10:01

MrsH I am CD20 so about 5-6dpo. Still abit to go....AF usually turns up on CD29.

Caitni but cool you will be in London again. As MrsH says I feel a meet up coming on.

All the trains to Euston are cancelled today so I am pretending to work. I have no paperwork at home so can't really do anything...even with on line access. I have an 8.30am meeting tomorrow to prepare for though so I am alittle worried that I won't get in at all. Oooh just saw a train, things might be back on better go check...

Kind of have a few symptoms, felt all light headed and a little nauseous yesterday and today have a dull ache. No sensitive (.)(.)s though which I usually get post ov so not sure what to think.

Gonna go check the trains catch you later. x

Hi Ladies

First of all, Hatty congratulations on the birth of Ursula! (everyone always picks lovely names on this thread) Hope you are both doing well, and that the older girls are enjoying their baby sister.

mibbes lovely photos of Evan - he really is gorgeous. Lovely ones of you (and DH) as well. Funny though, i always imagined you with dark hair (i have no idea why). I suppose we build pictures in our heads of what we imagine people to look like, then it is confusing when they don't look like that!!

DG Great to hear from you. Alfredo is gorgeous as well. He has a very wise look in his eye! It sounds like he is doing really well.

PnM Belated good luck in the new job! It always exhausting starting something new, but i hope you are enjoying the challenge. Here's hoping it leads to a most inconveniently timed BFP!

Caitni Sorry to see you back at CD1, and sad. Big ((higs)) to you. Have you got the HSG booked yet? I can see why you are having to move - you both must be exhausted, and it can only be a good thing if you are both less tired and have more time together.

EI So what books are you engrossed in? I'm always on the lookout for something new to read!! Hope things are ok with you. i've lost track of where you are in your cycle?

MrsH That's strange about your temps, although i suppose it could well be the cold weather affecting things. Don't give up hope for this cycle yet. Have you got a date for the op, or is it dependent on your cycle?

Bucky Fingers crossed for your first clomid cycle. Sounds like you have some good symptoms. Have you made it in to work yet, or still "working from home"?

I see i am going to have to get into facebook!! I don't really understand it, from the way other people talk about it, but i guess i'll just have to get stuck in. Can't have you all on there without me!! Only a couple of days now until i reach 12 weeks. Although i know it doesn't automatically mean that nothing will go wrong after that, it feels like a good milestone to reach. Got my next scan next week, which will be my first "proper" one, so it will be good to see them again!

Bucky2008 · 08/01/2009 15:12

Where is everyone? I had to push my way through all the tumbleweed to get in here!

Twilightsurfer it has occured to me I must seem like a stalker of types as I recall so much about your ttc experience. I guess it is just because we were kind of both in the same boat a the time so I identified with you more than a lot of others on the thread.

I feel weird today. I have an ache, kind of like dull cramps...It is also CD21 today and I was supposed to go for a Day 21 progesterone blood test but I had to go to a meeting for 8am and have been tied up since. I am wondering if I can go tomorrow...otherwise it will have to be next month. The doctor has no appointments tomorrow so I would have to go to the hospital which is a pain in the backside...arghhh. I tell you, I don't know how I would manage all the appointment requirements with IVF. I know you have to priortise it, but my collegues probably already think I have a terminal illness due to all my 'appointments' . What with the MC time off and my hospital appointment, blood test to check that I was not ectopic, the scan and now another blood test they must seriously think there is something wrong with me!

Anyway, hope you are all ok and just busy [higs].

MrsHappy · 08/01/2009 19:45

I'm here

Not a huge amount to report, but I am feeling ODD. I have got the most foul bitter taste in my mouth and (ahem) my guts seem to have slowed down. Not sure if any of this is good or bad but I am at 6dpo so if there is a beanie in there it should have started to implant by now...

Bucky you can definitely go for a day 21 test tomorrow. It's only a day out and you should still have high progesterone. I think it peaks between about 7 and 10 dpo.

MOB I can't believe you are nearly at 12 weeks already. Doesn't time fly? Mind you I saw my friend who is due when my last ep would have been and she is getting quite a bump now, which is weird. She's pretty slim so that had me wondering how enormous I would be by now if that was me! The surgery is booked for 22 Jan but am really hoping I won't need to go. Chance would be a fine thing!

Anyway, hi to you all. I hope everything is fine and that new jobs, getting ready for house moves etc are going ok.

mibbes · 08/01/2009 20:34

Hey Bucky and MrsHappy ! All sounds very promising for both of you - I have absolutely everything crossed. Mrshappy beans can implant later too - I'm sure mine implanted at 9 days so don't give up hope if the signs are a bit later than you expect... I'll be keeping an eye on you two !

DG your wee boy is an absolute smasher, what a gorgeous wee man !

MOB WOW 12 weeks already, how exciting !!

Bucky2008 · 09/01/2009 11:50

MrsH Trying to avoid FB at work, but yes I agree it is very weird behaviour indeed. When I get home I will expand on my extensive opionion of the situation . It seems we are being oddbods together . Lets hope we get BFPs together too. I am being super naughty again, albeit by accident, I went to the gym yesterday lunchtime (good) but then went out for a drink after work (bad). I hadn't eaten anything (bad) so after 2.5 glasses of wine I was SMASHED and I mean totalled (v.bad). I nearly killed myself jumping over some railings as well so I am absolutely totally not drinking anymore for a good few months. Not a mouthful. No siree. Just J2-flippinborin'-O for me, yes indeed.

PicknMix How is the new job? Do you feel like the new girl at school? Has somebody been made to be your 'buddy'? We have those, people given the reponsibility to look after the new person and answer any questions, show them where the tea is etc. I have been made a buddy precisely three times and all my newbies were sacked, so not sure if I was very good at it . Anyway, hope all is well and the egg hatched.

MibbseyEelCatcher lovely to see you my dear. Glad to see you are still shanging out with us.

And to all my other uber-cyber-buddies a good day to you. . Still feeling odd today. But as I had only drunk a couple of glasses of wine (despite it having such a big effect) I feel quite chipper today. Ah and the sun is out, as they would say in Ireland...That's grand.

OP posts:
PicknMix · 10/01/2009 09:28

Morning all!

Sorry for my absence, seems I'm a bit pathetic and am finding the new commute to work knackering so never quite get round to posting in the evening! Can fully sympathise with your move back Caitni, sounds like you and your dh have made a v good (but difficult) decision. Now, if you're a lazy slattern like me you'll have boxes [still packed] from the last move so hopefully this move will be quicker and easier . Sorry to hear bout af - did you manage to sort out an appt for your hsg?

Ouch at railings Bucky!! Hows your first clomid cycle feeling? Have you had any major side effects from it? Did you get your day21 test done? Job is going ok so far thanks, its a promotion within the same company so I've moved from shop floor to head office. Lol at having a babysitter/buddy - sadly not, have instead been working alongside one of the directors all week so brain is now dead after spreadsheet studying!!

Any news from you MrsH? You must be 9 dpo now?? Any more symptoms (was all sounding pretty good at 6dpo so have my fingers firmly crossed for you )?

Lovely to see you Ei, I love getting stuck into a new book, which series is it??

I genuinely can't believe how many weeks you are already Mob - I'm certain it feels like a lifetime to you but to me its gone so quickly!! How are feeling?

Hey Mibbes! How are you and Evan doing?

Hi to any lurkers

So, you'd think, new job + new year would = bfp, however annoying, there is still no sign of the egg!! Where the hell has it got to? Am on cd41 (i think) today....

Oooo, and I think one of my work mates (the one who is pregnant, who thankfully I no longer have to work with as it was breaking my heart to see her progress) has tracked me on here. No idea how, think she must've seen the page at work when my laptop was open. Did consider name changing then thought, f*ck it, if she wants to read about my mucous, good luck to her....so, hi if you're reading this

readyfornumber2 · 10/01/2009 10:22

Hi all x
Just thought I would pop in and see how you are all doing

Im really looking forward to seeing some new year BFPS from you all x

I am now 6+6 and suffering with all day nausea, I had nothing with DS so feeling rather rough lol
I am finally seeing the doc on monday (1st appointment I could get!) so hopefully things will start moving now

I will keep popping in from time to time and will keep my fingers crossed for all of you x x

MrsHappy · 10/01/2009 21:34

Hi all

PnM I am glad the new job is going well. How long is your commute? What makes you think your colleague has tracked you onto here?? I suppose if she is pg she might think that MN is a pretty useful site, but I hope she has the good sense to respect your privacy...

Bucky bleaugh to the J2O. You know, when you haven't had a drink for a bit tonic water can be quite convincing as a faux g&t. I hope the bruises are better.

RFN2 It's nice to hear that your pregnancy is going well - nausea can only be a good sign.

Mibbes I hope everything is going well with your lovely wee chap. Hpw old is he now?

Hi to everyone else. Caitni when are you moving? MOB when is your scan?

I am now 8 dpo I think and I am starting to get my hopes up so probably deserve a slap. I have a weird chemically, bitter taste in my mouth a lot of the time, my guts still seem slow (sorry, TMI) and I have a lot of creamy CM. God, do I ever say anything that is not TMI??? I had a few womby twinges today and my boobs do feel tender, although of course that is a symbol of not being pg too! Anyhow, will wait and see. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I would rather spend 10 days or so pretending that I might be pg than to not get excited at all. And if I ever do get pg I expect I will feel the same during my 2 week wait for a scan. Anyway, enough ranting from this end, I hope everyone is well.

MrsHappy · 10/01/2009 21:36

Oh, forgot to ask... any more interesting dreams, mystic ei?

Bucky2008 · 10/01/2009 23:01

Ei I was talking Sparkly on FB and saw someone who looked like you...(not stalker behaviour, honest). She had a name that would make sense and lived in Liverpool, coincidence? I sent the person a message so if it is you...the person contacting you is me...LOL. You probably understand exactly none of this post .
