Hello there,

GG Crikey, what a day you've had - sorry for not stopping in earlier, I've been out all day. The HSG test result does sound encouraging. I just can't imagine what you must be feeling at the moment - so many conflicting emotions. Keep us posted on how you go on over the next few days. I so want things to go well for you

GorgonsGin · 10/03/2009 21:17

hello there everyone.

MrsH funnily enough I was thinking about twinklingfairy earlier today and her amazing story . Stories like those together with a high HSG result do give me a tiny bit of hope. The HSG level seemed to confound the nurse on the phone. I think he thought I was exaggerating the extent of the bleeding . This aint mere spotting, pal . I hope you and bean are having a lovely holiday and enjoying the sunshine

Talking of erm...heavy, this may be TMI but I asked DH to buy me some pads on his way back home (he came BACK ) bcause was told not to use tampons. Haven't used those things in 20 years since the school nurse used to hand them out if you got your period at school . But he came home with a pack of bleedin' (no pun intended!) Tena Lady incontinence granny nappies!!! WTF?! "I thought they looked robust". That's what comes of having no sisters . It cheered my mood up no end .

MOB - woweeeee, so excited about your 20 week scan and so pleased everything is looking perfect. Best get on the "what's the best double buggy to buy?" threads Please post the scan photos of your little DBs so we can see them! If I could knit, I would start two pairs of blue bootees to celebrate, I am so excited for you and your DH

picknmix - what are you photographing in Bournemouth? I'm really sorry that AF arrived today. Does that mean you have had a shorter cycle this month? I have taken DG and ei's advice and hit the chocolate too, although now think that chocolate twist sounds mighty tempting. I am determined that, one way or another, this IVF is going to make me FAT

ei thanks for the cheerleading! If this works out I shall put it down to the power of poms poms. Oh, and I found this old photo of you throwin out one of your secret moves

ei shows us some moves

jolly caitni ready and bucky - thanks for being great supports today and talking sense into me. I am PMSL at Bucky wishing she could whip out her rosary beads for me. I think God would die of shock if I got back in touch after years of agnosticism (which, if he did, would not be good news for faithful believers out there )

I'm going to try to take time off tomorrow. It really does help the cramping to lie down on the couch and I can indulge in my secret vice - 24 hour More4! .I'm also going to pitch up for another blood test on Thursday morning - I agree, I think I do need to check before Monday. I wasn't assertive enough earlier on the phone (hard to believe, I know )

HappyandEiknowit · 10/03/2009 21:53

GG im really more like this [fat ass emoticon]
im glad you are sounding more positive good idea pushing for an earlier test as it would be sheer torture having to wait almost another week!! hope you are getting the rest and pamper treatment from your DH that you deserve (P.S. brownie points to your DH for coming home it was germany wasnt it?? take one off for the tena lady-though keep hold of them for the pelvic floor issues later in preg)
PnM sorry AF got you hope you are ok and good luck for this cycle
MOB yay on the scan its all go in the MADOLDTWINS household pics please
hope everyone else is ok
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 11/03/2009 10:00

How are we all doing this morning? Are your pompoms still in the air Ei?!

The photoshoot last night was in no way glam - totally work related and tres boring! Back in Bournemouth today for the same thing, didn't get home until midnight last night

Was actually on cd26 not 28 (can't count ). That means my cycles are officially c-r-a-p! As an eg, the last 3 cycles have been 54 days, 21 days and 26 days. Huge sigh.

Great news that dh returned last night GG, really pleased to hear that. Although the tena tale did make me chuckle! I sent my dh out for supplies once and got a furtive phone call from him asking "what colour bullets" I wanted!

GorgonsGin · 11/03/2009 10:17

picknmix - PMSL at the colour of the bullets required . At firsst I thought DH hd bought them as a joke to cheer me up, but no, he genuinely thought that's what I was after . I am disappointed that you were not on a glam photoshoot with make-up artists and people holding light metres next to your face

ei - you do not look like that I've seen you on facebook Any news with you?

I am sitting at home today nursing the cramps with a hot water bottle and still bleeding . It's maybe a tad lighter than yesterday, but I've still period amounts of bright red blood and not spotting and significant pains. I really can't see this being anything other than "it" despite BFP .

I am supposed to be going away on a city break this weekend - DH organised it for our anniversary (ei's going to laugh that I am off on my travels again ). I am definitely in two minds. I suppose it could be a nice break if the bleeding/cramping has stopped but don't feel very party-ish. DH is adament we should go (anf not waste the money ) and it will be a nice break etc etc

Caitni · 11/03/2009 10:23

Morning ladies

GG how are things today? I think you're right to try and get an app for tomorrow, fingers crossed they fit you in. I'm so glad your DH came back, but I was LMAO at his robust provisioning! I'll be checking in later to see how you're doing xxx

PnM at getting home at midnight and being back in Bournemouth already! And double at your cycle lengths! Have you tried anything like EPO/agnus castus/Vit B complex? I know it's not wise to self-medicate with things like that but lots of women on MN seem to get results with them.

Ei hope you're still waving those lucky pom poms

MOB yay for your 20 week scan!!! I'm so glad to hear that everythings going well with your little beans . I'd love to see the scan pictures if you want to post them!

Big waves to everyone else Bucky MrsH JB DigiG RFN2&3. Not much to report from the Caitni household - also on the TWW as now 5 dpo. Boobs aren't as sore as usual (maybe because of the acupuncture?) so not even able to imagine symptoms at the moment!!

Caitni xx

Caitni · 11/03/2009 10:27

Sorry GG I just saw your post

So to hear you're still bleeding & cramping. Massive massive {{{higs}}} to you. I can understand you wanting to prepare for the worst but I'm still hopeful for you because of your result yesterday. Trust your instinct when it comes to your city break - it may be just what you both need, to get away just the two of you to relax in a hotel after the rollercoaster of IVF. But if you prefer to stick to home and what you know then I'm sure your DH would understand that too...

HappyandEiknowit · 11/03/2009 10:42

hi ladies
GG sorry you are still bleeding and the cramps havent let up yet you are right i did a bit at your city break holiday but it might be a good idea for a relax. where is it you will be going?? you may need to speak to your doctor about it if you are going out of the country for insurance/medical purposes. i hope the hospital let you get your blood test earlier than monday. when is your break??
caitni hi how are you? good i hope
PnM sounds like you have got a rather glam life now photoshoots etc what are you taking pics of?
hope everyone is ok
DD is ill today so off school again shes got a cough but seems to be fine after i ring the school so im sure shes putting it on im not sure where in my cycle i am but im assuming i havent oved yet and carrying on molesting my DH until next week i think i had some very low right sided cramping the day before yesterday and have noticed i havent got much cm so im guessing i have oved but with my body who knows still, DH is happy with my new TTC frenzy
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 11/03/2009 11:51

Hello everyone - you lot do make me laugh .

I called the hospital and I am going back for another blood test tomorrow at 7am to see if the HSG number has changed. I am really very pessimistic. There is so much bleeding and such bad cramps - way worse than period cramps, which I have never really suffered from. We'll see. At least you get the results the same afternoon, so no time to mess around with pointless googling. There really is absolutely nothing you can do 'cept sit around and wait

BuckygoLucky · 11/03/2009 12:48

I might look back at the thread, because I think the last couple of months whilst I have been on Clomid I have had this, but I feel really weird today. Like kind of spacey and slightly nauseous. I seem to recall this happening last month though right before TEW turned up though....

GG crossing everything for tomorrow.

PnM why is AF such an evil witch? We were cycle buddies practically and I didn't even realise it!

Well I have a week of training it seems as I am training all afternoon and all of tomorrow so there will not be much MNing occuring. I will check on my iPhone sneakily when I can though.

I don't plan to test until Sunday if AF doesnt arrive before. Although I have a test at home so will try not to be tempted before then!

Caitni · 11/03/2009 17:45

Bucky nightmare about the training but sounds like some pretty good symptoms to me! Shall be keeping my fingers crossed that AF stays away for a looong time for you

GG am thinking about you and good luck for tomorrow {{{higs}}}

JollyBear · 11/03/2009 19:40

The best of luck for tomorrow GG. I really chuckled hard at your DH buying you tena lady! Good on him for going to buy them though. I needed some breast pads as I'd underestimated the leakage (!) and DH wouldn't ask for them in Sainsburys. I had to cut a sanitary towel in two and stuff my bra with them! Sexy .

PicknMix · 11/03/2009 19:59

Evening all,

So I'm still here in sunny Bournemouth - tis a little dark now though!

Am taking photos of stock. Nothing glam about that sadly! It is stretching my photographic abilities somewhat though! I do photography in my spare time (school photos, partys, portraits etc) but this is proving to be a nightmare! I could kill (literally in my hormonal state!) the person who let slip to my boss that I could use a camera!

Anywho....

GG will be thinking of you tomorrow, sounds like you've been in some pain so hope that its abating somewhat now?

Your symptoms sound interesting Bucky . Not sure that you mentioned spacey last month - you just said the Clomid was making you 'fat' (although saw no evidence of this the other week!). Will be keeping my fingers x'ed for you - surely one of us is due to get lucky soon????

Hows the accupuncture going Caitni? Are you finding it relaxing? Helpful? Thanks for the thoughts re meds - I did take EPO for a few months and it seemed to help a little but then read you should stop taking it as soon as you ov which, with my cycles, is near on impossible to pinpoint! Don't want to play with Agnus Castus (Atilla has put me right off it!) as not sure I could face things getting worse! Maybe I should try the VITB complex? Might have a google when I get the chance!

Hi to all not mentioned - only stopped in briefly whilst camera battery recharges!

Hope you're all ok

xx

BuckygoLucky · 11/03/2009 20:17

OK I am freaking out . I cannot find the reciept for my uber expensive laser hair removal . They put it on the payment on the computer but now I am totally paranoid that they will forget me. Is being highly strung a symptom? . I have been running around the house like a lunatic.

GG How you feeling poppet? Glad your DH came back that was not something you should have had to go through alone. xx

Bucky waves at PnM . How is Bournemouth? I used to spend practically every long weekend there when I was a teenager...Are you staying over?

Hey Caitni How is the water glugging going?

Oh I have a confessin to make....I fell a little bit off the wagon. Only two glasses of wine and a Corona off but off all the same. That was Monday though and aI have been back on since.

BuckygoLucky · 11/03/2009 20:19

Forgot to say hi to JB and Eixx

Madoldbird · 12/03/2009 06:31

Loads of luck for today GG XXX

HappyandEiknowit · 12/03/2009 09:10

hi ladies

GG i hope the blood test goes well today and the cramping and bleeding has stopped xx
hope everyone else is ok
i have roped myself into cooking dinner for 10 tonight im doing chicken tikka masala though so nice and easy but still!! i offered to MIL to help with making dinner and stupidly agreed to do the curry and she will do the rice and naan bread i think she may have got the easier end of the bargain
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 12/03/2009 09:36

hello everyone.

Bucky - PMSL at the missing reciept for laser hair removal. I am sure it will be ok -I have no doubt they will remember you Excited at your symptoms - they sound very promising this month. How are you finding being on Clomid generally? I am now in a panic I will be the last one here I don't blame you at all for falling off the wagon. I am afraid i did last night too . I figured that one tiny glass of wine (and it was small) wasn't going to make any difference now and it made me feel a lot better. First for a week

Jolly - that's hysterical about the breast pads. I am very impressed at your ingenuity in the time of desperate need! My friend told me that she has respored to kitchen roll in the past. Total respect!

picknix - Wow, I would love to be good at photography. I bet you are fantastic if you do weddings! When do we get to see your work on this photoshoot and are your animals modelling too? Maybe you can take photos at our next meet up . I have just seen the one of me on Facebook and I look like an old crone - please use your Photoshop skills on me and do something about my lines and crooked teeth!

Hello MOB - please post lots about your pregancy and the Mad Old DTs. I want to hear all about them and what you are planning. Do you think it will be very different form having singletons?

hello to readyfor2and3 mibbes

caitni - Our Lady Of The Loo [grin. When is your next needles session and are you doing all the other zen things he recommended?

ei apparently there si a cheerleader workout you can do at my local gym. I am quite tempted to give it a go

I'll call in later when I know more. I am in work today - i was getting called at home repeatedly and broadband was playing up, suddenly everything was "urgent" so thought what the hell, and came into the office. I could stay at home and be uncomfortable, stressed and bored, or I could come into the office and merely be uncomfortable and distracted

Still bleeding bright red blood here (sorry TMI, I know) but it's slowed a lot and the pain is almost gone (phew!). Got blood test at 7am today - results later this afternoon, but pessimism is my new middle name . I also checked to see whether I needed an anti-D injection because I was bleeding while (technically, i suppose) pregnant and I am Rhesus negative blood group. I didn't need it because you have to reach 12 weeks PG, but they had to do a lot of checking and hadn't thought of it

GorgonsGin · 12/03/2009 14:15

HSG is down to 12, so all over

Apparently it was "good that something tried to happen" . I need yet another blood test in a week for the HSG to go down to approx zero. It's gone from 65 to 12 in two days, so it has plummeted (sp?).

Unfortunately, I can't start another cycle for 3 months. I also have to get that "zero" before they can put me forward for my second cycle, so it will be "June at the earliest". It's bloody frustrating . A BFN would mean i was already be back to square one, not paddling around in limbo land bleeding buckets and feeling like sh*t.

Sorry - rant over.

HappyandEiknowit · 12/03/2009 14:39

oh GG im so sorry what a pile of shit this is i was so positive for you im so sorry xx {{{{{{{{{{{huge higs}}}}}}}}} for you and your DH
xx ei xx

GorgonsGin · 12/03/2009 14:49

thanks ei. I needed that hug. I am just so bloody confused about getting a BFP and then immediately starting to bleed and it's all so...well....URGHHHHH! Sorry, not feeling very articulate

JollyBear · 12/03/2009 15:00

Oh GG Ei put my feelings into words there, pile of shit indeed.

I'm so very sorry for you and Mr GG.

Saying that 'it is good something tried to happen' and you having to wait longer than if you'd have got a BFN, might feel like a kick in the teeth a the moment BUT they are the experts and if they say it is an indication of future sucess then that's something to hold onto. I'm not expressing that very well but I hope you get the sentiment.

I hope you are at home and not having to deal with this at work. Take care

GorgonsGin · 12/03/2009 15:12

thanks jolly. i know what you mean.

i am still at work. I'll go home soon. i think i am going to go away tomorrow on the trip DH planned for our anniversary. I feel (physically ) much better and there is nothing more to be done now.

JollyBear · 12/03/2009 15:27

I wish there was something I could do GG. Get yourself home now, you need some rest ahead of your weekend.

PicknMix · 12/03/2009 15:32

Oh GG I'm so sorry to hear that. Tis truely a big old pile of shit.

Sadly there are no answers as to why it happens like this so agree with Jolly that you must hold onto the fact that at least it was good that something tried to happen.

Think you'd be right to go this weekend, get away from any reminders etc and be somewhere different.

Biggest my love, am still thinking of you xx
