Hi guys - no news from majormoo! I guess she is off having her baby finally!

MJIM - sorry you have been ill, it must be awful when you still have to get up and look after 2 lo's! Perhaps the wrapping paper fairy might pay you a visit!?!?!?

dawni - sorry af has arrived, but as you seem to be so positive avout next month I will be positive for you too! I'd be interested to hear how the saliva thingy and hypnotherapy work! lol about the murder!

BSOB - I agree with your dh - try to think about the positive things that you got form the appointment. You have something to do now, and have a timescale for the next 'thing'. It's not all bad hey!

frosty - can't get my head round your paper plate thing either - - I'm not arty though! I bet your girls are at a lovely age for all things christmassey aren't they? Awww!

I have my fingers crossed that someone will still get a fab xmas present of a lovely BFP!

Juanitad - thanks for the advice about the fainting. I felt a bit faint again today but got sat down quick and recovered fast! I'm wearing layers so i can take cardi off! How is little Patrick? Are you loving motherhood????

Big wave to everyone else!

I am feeling good, only 1 more day left at work then 2 weeks off! I have bought a fab dress to wear to 2 xmas parties that I actually feel quite sexy in! (First time in months!) It's black and silky, and for the first time in my life I have a cleavage! 34B to 38C already!!!! yey!!!!

OP posts:
Dawni · 18/12/2008 17:43

CE cleavage sounds good, im an A cup so cant wait for a BFP just to have a cleavage again

Good news from the docs detox....having ewcm after ovulation is normal and often means longer ovulation period, my AF being abnormal to me is actually very common and i should just count from the very first spot i see no matter how small. she said she would refer me to specialist if i want but i said its only been 3 months this time round so i want to wait, over the years when we've tried i just waited 2 weeks from AF which has been way off the scale according to the OPKs i now do...i only wish i new about the OPKs before, maybe it just wasnt meant to be back then ???

Does anyone know if tramadol (pain relief) will effect sperm ? i forgot to ask the doc {derrr}

Off to make lasagne

Love to all

detoxdiva · 18/12/2008 19:28

Thanks for that Dawni - I am now thinking that I may not have ov'd yet after all as just done an opk and got a strong +ive compared to the paler red lines from earlier in the week. So more bd'ing tonight just in case!! I am hoping I'll ov tomorrow and see a temp rise on Sat [hopeful]!!

CE - enjoy that cleavage....it will get better too as the pg progresses! By the time dd was born and my milk came in I could barely see over them

Dawni · 18/12/2008 19:43

Thats great news detox....good luck xx

I will be the proud owner of a fertility ring tomorrow, with a spell for conception...told you i'd try anything

Love to all

Hi - I have been so crap at keeping up with this thread again haven't I? I do read it but never seem to have the time to post!

We are doing ok here - Sam has been poorly since the weekend with a cold, so he was off his milk and now he has started being sick....which unfortunately is making me and DH think he may have the same condition DS1 had and therefore mean Sam will have to have an operation in the next couple of weeks . On the plus side, the odds of 2 children in the same family having it are one in a million (or something!) so it probably isn't but we can't help worry everytime he is sick. But it is too soon to go the doctors about it as he is not being sick often enough for it to warrant investigations etc (iyswim)

On a positive note, I have put some new photos on my profile for you all to have a gander at

Also feeling like a bad mother tonight as I made DS1 cry by shouting at him - he was p*ing about on the landing at bedtime despite us telling/warning him etc to go back to bed so in the end I shouted at him - I shout at him so rarely that it obviously had an effect but I feel so guilty!!

Sorry about the me me me post but I really have left it too long to keep up with everyone (although I have to say Dawni, if that spider had been in my house, I would have still be sobbing hysterically on the bed as I have such a phobia of spiders!)

detoxdiva · 19/12/2008 09:03

Ceebee - hope Sam is better soon. Like you say the odds are 1 in a mllin, so here's hoping it's just a sickness bug that he'll soon be over. Don't feel bad about shouting - dc's all push us to say things we regret afterwards. You have been worried about Sam and I am sure ds will have forgotten all about it by now The photos are gorgeous - you have 2 beautiful children.

Dawni - a fertility ring?? Never heard of one of those Hope it brings you luck.

Well - the bd'ing plan didn't work out last night as dh made a 'joke' about being under pressure to perform at the moment which may be true but I didn't find very funny esp as all I want in the world at the moment is a bfp....so he went to bed alone and was snoring by the time I got there

Got another strong +ive on the opk this morning so am hoping I haven't missed the best chance this month. Men.

Off into town to finish the last of the Christmas shopping. Catch up later, have a good day everyone x

FrostyTheSnowman · 19/12/2008 15:02

Dawni-sorry AF arrived. You seem to be having some cycles like I have just had-some as long as 32 days and normally 27/28 days.

detox-hope you get some troups in tonight.

Ceebee-give Sam a big hug from me. Hope he is better.

ChocEclair-still feeling faint? Hope not.

The paper plate thing ladies is: spend a £1 on filling a plate so got a mug with a reindeer in and sat it in the middle then surrounded it in choc coins with a couple of mini crackers either side. Then you are supposed to get some florists plasticy paper like flowers come in and tie it up with bows etc. I used cling film but have kept the florists paper off the plate I won in the raffle incase I need it next year.

Better go and get DD1 from school-back later!

juanitad · 19/12/2008 16:52

lovely pics ceebee, I must get round to putting some more pics on my profile.

Had a friend to visit today with her 2 kids - one is 2 and the other is 9 months. Was such a fun-filled and busy house while they were here. It made me realise that although it's tough going having a newborn, it's going to be even harder work once there's more than one on the scene, so I am full of admiration for all of you that have 2 or more littl'uns! I don't know how you manage it! I definitely want 2, but will wait a while before contemplating the second I think!!

Wonder how majormoo is........no posts for a few days, so I am guessing the baby may have arrived. Can't wait to hear all the details from her!

Hope you all have a fab weekend

xx

soosy · 19/12/2008 19:28

Just a quick Hello to everyone, all these new arrivals are so fantastic, sorry I have been so bad at keeping up. I seriously want to know about the fertility ring, I too will try almost everything and have!

Having serious doubts about doing IVF next year, really worried about the financial situation and IVF costs about £3,500 at my clinic (they are not that expensive either). DB is at a fee paying school and my income is going to down about 25% next year. So at the moment I am worried about the cost of it all. DH is planning a trip for my 40th next year and I am beginning to think that we should cancel that too as we were going with my family and I think it is wrong that we expect them to pay that too.

Sorry to be so down, especially when so many gorgeous babies around!

Dawni · 19/12/2008 20:48

Hi everybody, hope all is well...

CB your pics are beautiful, two very gorgeous sons youve got there xx

Soosy the fertility ring was something i seen on ebay after typing in fertility then searching....the picture shows a sillouette in yellow of a pregnant lady, the wiccan witch is called abby parker and she has a web site called moonlit-castings.com. i wouldnt say im a true believer but i will open my mind to anything right now, she gets in touch via email once ordered and you send full name and date of birth, she then casts a spell on a ring and sends you a spell to read 3 times during your cycle....it all sounds magical and worth a go, its only 6 pound and every little bit of luck counts xx

frosty hope you are well, enjoy your weekend xx

detox doing well on +opk Good luck xx

Love to all

morning all

ceebee - ds2 is gorgeous - I love his mop of hair! Seing your pics is really making me wish the next 3 months would hurry up and baby would arrive! I want to hold one soon! Glad that things are going well - I guess sickness is par for the course even in healthy babies.

MJIM - glad you are feeling better just in time for xmas. DS's party sounds fab! Just the ticket to run off a bit of energy so that you all get some sleep! And well done dd on putting on more weight. Bless her!

dawni - I think you are right to try alternative things when ttc. Most of the battle is in the mind after all, so anything you can do to make you feel more positive must be a good thing. TTC really messes up your cycles doesn't it! It's torture! fwiw mine were always 31-33 daysz long with ov on CD17-19 and that appears to be fine! Have you tried agnus castus capsules? I think they worked quite well for me - lots of EWCM!

frosty - sounds like you are busy and have your hands full! No more fainting here, although I have felt faint at times. I just got sat down quick!

Waves to Juanitad, soosy and everyone else! hope you are all ok!

I'm having a lovely lazy day, meeting my mum for a coffee and might have a potter round woolworths! I feel quite sorted for xmas - just a couple left to wrap and deliver now.

Hi Bonkers and Bonked

So sorry to be away for so long and miss all the news. I have tried to catch up, but confess to skim reading a lot. Work is still insane - can't wait for a lovely 11-day break and hopefully return to sanity.

Glad I haven't missed majormoos birth announcement - expect it will be this weekend, though.

BSOB - so glad things are progressing for you - I'm sure it feel painfully slow, though - time plays funny tricks, but I just know you will look back at all you've been through with a lovely bubba in your arms and know that it was all worthwhile (and that goes for all of us )

I have to admit to posting for selfish reasons today. I'm 26 weeks and have had a little bit of pale brown cm this morning. I'm worried of course, but baby is moving a lot - the thing is now I'm worried he's moving too much and might be distressed. I'm really confused about what it might mean. By a fortunate coincidence the independent midwife we have been trying to book our antenatal classes with called me this morning to confirm the booking -she was really lovely and said that it's probably fine but I should call Lewisham labour ward and they will probably tell me to monitor myself for 12 hours, then come in if I'm still worried or it gets worse. I'm trying not to panic, and it is very different from mc in March, of course, as this time I can feel the baby and know all has been fine so far, but it does bring back all the horrible feelings of that scary time...

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else had spotting around this time in any of their pregnancies and what it was caused by.

Sorry to be so me, me, me - just hoping for some advice from someone more experienced than me...

FrostyTheSnowman · 20/12/2008 12:46

daisyj-personally, I would ring the unit. They can always say not too worry or come in. Go on, ring and put your mind at ease. Lovely to hear from you.

detox-what is your temp this morning?

DD1 has a party held by the dance teacher at 2-30pm. Thing is, am having to dress DD2 up in her finery too as she thinks she is partying but it is a free for all so nothing wrong with her joining I suppose.

Big wave and I'll be back later. The party is the last date on the calendar so apart from the big shop on Monday it is wind down to Christmas Day-hurrah!

Good afternoon ladies, ive just finished work for the day, apart from putting the washer on all i need to do is wrap the last of the presents.

My fertility ring came this morning so ive put it on a leather necklace and it can perform its magic all the time.....all i need now is a compass to work out N,S,E+W in the bedroom so i can read the spell on the 3 most fertile nights and then i have a cup of tea in a bath of plain water for half hour before BDing.....if this works the ring is enchanted for 2 years so it can be passed on after birth !!!

I also got a fertility testing kit for myself and it was negative, which means i am fine, i do another test in a week just to make sure

sorry to babble about myself hope everyone is having a nice saturday

Love to all

thanks so much myjob and Frosty (HC? - I've lost track!). I rang the ward and they said to come in. Just got back - they checked me over really thoroughly - listened to Bo's hb for ages, and there was lots of movement while they were examining me, so they were happy about that. I had an internal, too, and all looks fine. Sooo relieved. Will not hesitate to ring them next time.

Myjob - congratulations to your friend on her Christmas baby - it must be strange when yours isn't the littlest one any more . Love the pics, by the way - Naomi is sooo beautiful. Can't wait to meet baby Bo - just hope it's a smooth ride from here . Your cinema trip sounds lovely - how exciting to watch DCs reactions.
