Morning

LaTour - hope AF and hormones are starting to subside.

Can't believe it's November today!!

kayzisexpecting · 01/11/2008 10:43

LATOUR!!!!!!!!!!! I had a strange feeling I knew you from a post you made!!!

How are you???? I was going to text you to see how you were!!!

Sorry for crashing, the wagon still feels like my 'spritual home' on MN!!

BBeingpatient · 01/11/2008 11:13

hello all, sorry i didnt keep up this week have been dead busy with work and stuff!

well im not as convinced as you all are about being pg, i think i just dont wanna get my hopes up. Its CD28 monday so will test Friday if no AF. I spose even if im not pg if AF comes i'l be relieved as last time i was tTC my cycles were really fooked, 65-70 days and annovulatory. So i spose anything is better than nothing?

I am really really hoping to be pg tho! i keep trying to rational about it tho, ie i feel a bit queasy in the morning but the books say Morning sickness doesnt start till at least 6 weeks? also dizziness and boob sensations come and go? arg i need help.... Sorry TMI but lately ive been feeling a bit (ahem) more aroused like there is literally more blood pumping down there... and also my nose seems to bleed a bit not a proper nosebleed just blood in a tissue??

im probably imagining it

BBeingpatient · 01/11/2008 11:14

sorry that was really self centred! glad to here everyone is well, sorry for those of you who feel down, i really do sympathise, i often think that once you've decided you want to be a mum, you feel like your body lets you down by not falling pg?!

mad ramblings lol

BBeingpatient · 01/11/2008 11:26

oh and yes john and kate plus 8 is on virgin channel 275 mon to thurs 8.30 that woman is farking mental tho, she runs herself ragged yet doesnt even seem to be bothered as such? and i often think comes accross a tad stuck up?! i do wonder if having that many children isnt a bit unfair on them as she cant possibly give them all the attention they need, when they need it, because having 6 the same age, they are bound to need it at similar times??

more mad ramblings ha ha

lastboxoftampons · 02/11/2008 12:29

BB totally agree with you about Kate - I think she gives her poor DH such a hard time too. I feel bad for him I guess they didn't intend to have that many kids but yes, I always wonder about the amount of attention they require - I think the older twins sometimes get the smallest amount - that's probably why the one little girl is such a brat! Negative attention!

BBeingpatient · 02/11/2008 14:37

LBOT i totally aggree, DH and i watch it and he is always saying "that poor guy" lol i think she has kinda off values too, but i spose when youve got that many kids you just muddle through!! i agree with you about the twin girl i think its mady, she is a total brat!!

any way how/where is everyone? i like the pace of this thread now i must confess cos it was so hard to keep up before,as i only tend to get on at the weekends, maybe the odd evening lol. Ive been a domestic goddess today, have made a shepards pie for dinner tonight and a lasagne for dinner tommorrow so that will save some stress

Am weakening in my reserve not to test, CD28 tomo, but really dont wanna start the week feeling down if its BFN, so even tho ive got an early predictor test i am not going to test till fri/sat, if i do get AF before then, then thats ok cos least il know im ov'ing! but then if i dont and do get BFN i'l have a new worry...argh!!! the joys of it all!!

anyway whats everyone else's plan for the coming weeks ttc wise?

technically if i am pg you are the only ppl i can tell as DP has sworn me to RL secrecy, feel priviledged?!?!

i hope this rambling is a sign...otherwise im just a nutter lol

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 15:26

Hello BB and LBOT

BB - love the ramblings. I'd take it as a good sign!

Am watching X Factor results at the moment. Can someone tell me who is voting for Daniel???!

BBeingpatient · 02/11/2008 15:30

lol ses, i wont spoil it for ya but tis a travesty,i reckon its grannies and ppl who vote on his sob story not his voice! i mean not to be rude but against the likes of diana and laura the guy doesnt have a snowballs lol! i lurve diana, i lurve her !! ha ha

love your scan pics btw ses, are you feeling any more relaxed now? x

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 15:35

Yes - believing it. Just a bit concerned that my belly seems to have shrunk the last couple of days but not overly worried as I think baby may be taking all my calories

I sooo agree with you about Diana. She does seem to really split people though.
Can't believe Austin's gone! I thought he was the best solo male left in it!

BBeingpatient · 02/11/2008 15:40

aw ses thats gd, glad your feeling better, i think i will be the same, as pleased as i will be to be pg, i will be on edge too!

yeah ive noticed that, she is very much proverbial marmite bless her, i thought she did really well with call me tho. I think cheryls such a nice protective mentor too.

You know i think louie only voted off poor austin to get at simon, austin handled it dead well tho. I do like eoghan, but dont think hes a winner.lol

i speent ages making that shepards pie, we just sat down to eat it and i ate two mouthfuls and just literally couldnt eat anymore! how odd! its like it all tasted off? and all i could smell on it was grease?!? DP says its me cos he ate all of his lol its funny tho cos i was starving, then my apetite just went...how odd

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/11/2008 15:45

Oooh! Maybe there's an obviousl explanation to your two mouthfuls only...

I definitely think Louis voting Simon's acts off for the last 2 weeks is no coincidence...

Right... trying to decide whether to watch the Grand Prix now. Will maybe just keep an eye on it...

BBeingpatient · 02/11/2008 15:51

he he i am hoping so..

DP is playing the wii so no tv for me, may go off and bury myself in a book tho, im enjoying Vicki Iovine atm she make me laugh lol

Claire236 · 02/11/2008 17:19

BB I think you're showing quite astonishing mental strength not testing with all those possible pg symptoms. I love Vicki Iovine too - my copy's starting to look a touch battered as it's been borrowed so much.

Louis is very weak, he either goes to deadlock or votes out Simons act. At least Cheryl says what she really thinks. Can't believe Daniel is still in.

BBeingpatient · 02/11/2008 19:18

thanks claire, i suppose its more self preservation really tho, im nervous of getting BFN lol!

ive got vicki iovines motherhood book too, i find so much of her advice relateable and friendly!

arent sundays boring!!

LaTourEiffel · 02/11/2008 21:34

Evening all, been away for the weekend, had a halloween party to go to with DS and got some very very cute outfits sorted, courtesy of Mum and Sister, DS was in a 'cheeky little devil' outfit, and next year I have a count dracula outfit and the year after, a pumpkin as they bought three outfits in varying sizes! Just got back a couple of hours ago and feel like I've seriously maxed out on chocolate cake!!!

BB, can't believe you've still got five days to go before you test...fingers crossed for you.

AF has left the building so hormones are settling now too which is good...CD5 today, my hospital appt is coming up, it will be CD15 by then.

Boss rang late on Friday to tell me that one of our team is being made redundant, but that I wasn't to worry coz it won't be me . So why tell me. I've now spent all weekend worrying about losing one of my team mates and about how they're going to cope just before Christmas, and also hoping that my boss knows what she's doing and a bit - and also not looking forward to tomorrow.

OP posts:
Diege · 03/11/2008 08:51

Morning! BB for this week - your symptoms sound very good, and I'll look out for your wagon honk!
LATOUR - what a strnage thing for your boss to do . I'd say she was trying to get you to feel relieved for yourself and others who aren't effected than dwelling on the redundancy. Quite a typicval boss thing to do..
LBOT, a book/supplement programme you may find helpful for you and dh is Marilyn Glenville's Getting Pregnant Faster. I put dh (and me) on the supplement programme/lifestyle thing and it was tough but with good results. Might be worth a look?
Hi Claire, Kooky and everyone else

lastboxoftampons · 03/11/2008 10:33

Thanks Diege I've got DH on the MG male supplements, but it's probably worth me picking up the book. Thanks for the tip! and by the way, Congratulations on your BFP!!!!

BB did I read correctly that you've got 5 days left before you test!?!?! How will I ever make it through??? I seem to have accumulated a phenomenal amount of tests lately. I had bought a two 2-packs of the Superdrug brand a few months back because they were 2-for-1. Then I got the free Clearblue digital from MN and I've just got 5 internet cheapies with my preseed order. That's 10 test that I have NO use for

I'm so annoyed I missed most of X Factor the other night. I only saw Eoghan - who is adorable, but to be honest, I didn't like his performance, I think he's done much better in other shows - Ruth and Laura. I was really sad to see Austin go I loved his Billie Jean a few weeks ago!

LaTourEiffel · 03/11/2008 21:48

Evening, what a day . We got called into bosses office at about 3.30 and told that one of the senior members of my team will be made redundant, and we'll find out which one of us on Friday. It all seems a bit strange and very surreal.

LBOT, you miss typed...10 tests that you have NO use for YET

Can't comment on the X Factor lot - haven't watched a single show!

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 03/11/2008 22:41

Oh LaTour thats awful. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get to keep your job.

Also annoyed about X Factor, I do like Daniel but I don't think he should be in there still.

lastboxoftampons · 04/11/2008 11:46

LaTour That doesn't seem on! Why wouldn't they just tell you then and there instead of leaving you all to wonder for a week???

LaTourEiffel · 04/11/2008 13:29

LBOT, apparently its something to do with the fact that we've had so many redundancies, and this week serves part of our notice period too, the job becomes redundant from the end of this month.

I've been to HR this morning to get my package calculated and its much more than I thought - I'll be able to survive for about five months, which should be more than enough to find a new job if it turns out to be me.

In some ways, I kind of hope it is, coz I keep 'umming and ahhing' about leaving and can never quite make my mind up, and can't help wondering if I should see this as an opportunity.

Three more days to decide before they decide for us.

OP posts:
cantwaitforxmas · 04/11/2008 15:32

Sorry LaTour, that sounds awful. My DP works for a bank so they keep talking about making redundancies. It is so unsettling. It would be easier if they just got on and did it then at least everyone knows where they stand . Hope you get what you want whether it is the redundancy package or the job!

I have decided to try to lose a few pounds before ttc (weight not money I hope ) so joined a local RC club yesterday. It all seems very simple and easy but this is day one and I am already craving a wispa. Oh dear...

BBeingpatient · 04/11/2008 19:46

evening all! thanks for your congrats on not testing but im weak... i tested sunday and got BFN, however trying not to be down, as I didnt use FMU, and i wasnt due on till yesterday, so all isnt lost yet (thats my story and im stickin to it ha ha) am not testing again till the 17th tho when i will be two weeks late. If a BFN then, i will have to accept it and go to the doctor, am dreading it to be honest, dont wanna be disappointed, and feel hard done by, almost punished.

anyway less of that! COngrats diege and thanks for your kind words.

LBOT i lurved DIana on xfactor, her voice carried that song so well, and re the tests, just think that will be TEN BFPS soon!!

LAtour i aggree with what others have said re the boss, im a worrier and that would make me worry not be at ease, also if your boss has told you and not the ppl they are getting rid of they run some risks re consultancys periods, very odd! x

PussinJimmyWhoooos · 04/11/2008 19:49

Can I join in? Posted on other threads but not getting that many replies and getting a tad impatient! lol

Tmi but went to the loo earlier and had blood streaked cervical mucus....had very very very faint brown colour earlier this afternoon but usually, I have a day of the brown stuff before period starts proper and in any case, am only on CD 26 of a 29 or 30 day cycle (AF arrived on CD29 last two months). EWCM on CD15 and due to Dh being away, BD'd on CD16 within 24hrs of EWCM and after that...

Also, the last few days I've been absolutely knackered - a tiredness I've never known before. Now, whether this is purely psychological as I've read this as a pg symptom, the change in clocks or?? Had bad stabbing pains in lower left side last week but I get that anyway....feel vaguely nauseous but could all be in my head....

I've never started on CD26 before though - always been CD28 and the last two cycles, CD29...could be stress??

What do you think? No tests in the house as I am refusing to test until AF due as too many BFNs in the last months I get pissed off with it!
