Sorry Dalrymps. Hope you don't feel too down.

Dalrymps · 12/03/2009 16:30

Thanks claire, i'm ok, jut feel a bit defeated. I hate not knowing how long it's going to take. Ah well, here's to next month.

Claire236 · 12/03/2009 16:37

I know what you mean. We're into month 7 now & the whole cycle of hoping but trying not to get too excited that this might be the month then the let down when AF appears regular as clockwork is pretty depressing.

Dalrymps · 12/03/2009 19:57

I know, this is only our 3rd cycle and i'm already sick of it so can't imagine how you feel... I try to put it out of my mind but then I find it's all I think about, hope we all get bfp's soon!

Claire236 · 13/03/2009 16:52

Get pregnant with ds almost as soon as I came off the pill which makes this time round that much harder as I assumed the same thing would happen. I know you shouldn't but it's hard not to. I was prepared for it to take a while with ds but wasn't expecting it at all second time round. Luckily a friend of mine is in almost exactly the same position so we keep each other relatively sane.

Dalrymps · 13/03/2009 22:42

Yeah, I have a friend who has been trying for a similar amount of time too

Claire236 · 14/03/2009 19:55

It helps doesn't it. Although I do worry how I'll feel if my friend gets pregnant before I do. I like to think I'll be happy for her but I spend all of Dancing on Ice scowling at Holly Willoughby for daring to be pregnant so I don't fancy my chances. I take it your spotting turned into AF?

Dalrymps · 14/03/2009 21:41

Yeah, I wonder if i'll be able to hide my dissapointment/jelousy if she gets preggers first. I honestly will be genuinely happy for her if she does but a part of me will feel left all alone, sure i'll get over it though!

Yeah spotting turned in to AF, had a few drinks cause I can , here's to next month!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 17/03/2009 23:26

sorry it wasnt this month dalrymps...

i am trying to be realisti that it might take some time when we start but i know part of me is thinking it will be easy as it was before... but you just never know if it will be the same again do you.

Dalrymps · 18/03/2009 11:00

mmmb - NO, you don't know how long it'll take, suppose thats the annoying bit!

I'm on CD 7 now, about to start the goffing again, think we'll just go for every other day this month, last month nealry killed us!

What's everyone elses plan regarding frequency of gofs?

Claire236 · 19/03/2009 17:14

I've given in & visited Fertility Friend so will be GOFing when my chart tells me to from now on. dh wants me to see my dr which I think is pointless but if charting doesn't show me when I'm ovulating then I can go to the dr with a reason for worrying things aren't right. Will chart for 6 weeks or so then make a drs appt which will mean I'll have charting for 8 weeks by the time I get an appt & will say I've been charting longer than that. I still think that having got pregnant twice before once having just come off the pill & once by accident there must be something wrong for it to be taking so long this time.

Dalrymps · 19/03/2009 22:18

Claire - Ah, I went on that site when we first decided to ttc. I charted one month to see when I ovulated before we started trying. I meant to do it every month but kept forgetting to take my temp first thing before i'd started talking/gone to the loo etc... It showed I ov'd on day 17 I think, iirc you don't neccassarily ov on the same date every month though so it's all a bit confusing?! Good luck with it, hope the doc can help when you do go to see them.

Biccy · 19/03/2009 22:48

Hello, this thread vanished from 'threads I'm on' which I mistakenly thought meant all had gone quiet. I have a watch on it now.

Anyway, sorry it didn't happen last time Dalrymps.

Am waiting for AF after MC. Only 4 weeks + 2 since MC, but have been having pmt symptons on and off for two weeks now, and every 2 or 3 days I feel like it really is just about to start, and then it doesn't. Am feeling quite frustrated about that, as I would really like to get on with TTC again.

Hey ho, it is something of a relief to be wanting AF for a change, rather than dreading it...

Once it does arrive, my plan is not to try too hard this month, though not do anything to stop nature taking it's course - I'm just not sure being due around Christmas is ideal, but if it just happens to happen, then it's meant to be and so be it.

Joycey29 · 19/03/2009 22:55

got bfp yesterday - due af today - cramping a bit is this normal??

Biccy · 19/03/2009 22:59

Hi Joycey. Congratulations, how very exciting!

I think it is very normal to have cramping (as long as it's not severe) when AF is due. I have conceived 3 times (that I know of!) and have one dd: on all three occassions I felt exactly like AF was about to start, including the cramps, and with worse 'pmt'. My sister is the same.

Keep us posted.

Joycey29 · 19/03/2009 23:00

Will do - hope a good nights sleep will help

Dalrymps · 19/03/2009 23:04

Hi Biccy, fingers crossed your af turns up soon. Liking your ttc plan for this month, the no pressure approach sounds good . So sorry about your mn

Joycey = Congratulations I think cramping is normal from what i've heard. Can't remember if I had it with ds as I wasn't 'expecting' him

Dalrymps · 19/03/2009 23:05

Sorry, meant mc not mn...

Biccy · 20/03/2009 18:51

Hi Joycey, how are you today?

News: got a BFP today (!), so I am no longer waiting for AF in quite the same way I was. Was very tired today, despite a lie in, and at the point I said to myself 'wow, do I really need the loo again?!' I decided I would risk a test...

Don't really know how I feel about it. I feel like I've been naughty, because they said after MC to wait a full cycle, and we haven't; and then there's increased pessism after our recent experiences; and not being able to date very well, though I don't think I can be very far along as it was a First Response and the line was faint.

What a rollercoaster.

Joycey29 · 20/03/2009 20:43

Congrats Biccy! {grin} That is great news - I wouldn't worry about the first cycle thing - mmy friend did the same thing and he midwife said the only issue was dating and so what if they don't have an exact date... So pleased for you!

bringonthetrumpets · 20/03/2009 20:51

hiya ladies! I'm baaaaAAAck! dh and i had yet another chat about ttc (this time without any wine) and he's admitted that he was very nervous about having another one, but after having a good think about it he's decided he'd quite like another little character around. he actually said lets start trying for another one !! so here we go. cd 3.... fingers crossed we'll actually make it through a full cycle without dh getting cold feet again.

a huge congrats to biccy and joycey !

sorry to hear about impending af dairy it's another fresh cycle to keep trying though things will look up for you soon!

Dalrymps · 20/03/2009 21:32

Hi ladies,

Congratulations Biccy, thats wonderful news, so pleased for you! . I wouldn't worry about the date thing, they can get a pretty good idea from the scans anyway

bringonthetrumpets, so pleased to have you back, glad your dh no longer has cold feet and you can get on with it! You're not far behind me, i'm on cd 9, gof scheduled tonight at 11.00 hrs

Dalrymps · 20/03/2009 21:35

Oh and by the way bringonthetrumpets, your ds is sooooooo cute how old is he now?

Biccy · 20/03/2009 22:29

Thank you everyone. I have read quite a lot tonight to reassure me there is nothing 'wrong' with not waiting, so am not feeling quite so sheepish about it. I am guessing that the date of my MC (17/02) and the BFP only being quite faint today gives me quite a limited window of EDDs, so am managing not to worry too much about that either.

Hope it wasn't bad form on a TTC thread not to simply be overjoyed by BFP. I think I did too good a job of psyching myself up for a negative and was truly a bit shocked by the positive.

Good luck to all who are on a fresh cycle now. I shall keep lurking about if that's ok.

bringonthetrumpets · 20/03/2009 22:50

thanks dairymps! he's just turned 6 months. on the 19th.

haha on the schedule! dh is thinking that now that he's up for trying that we should be doing the deed right now it's like erm, honey, road block (literally!) well here's to this month for both of us!
