bubbap you poor thing. I can't imagine how horrid it must be for you, but as has already been said, we are all here for you and it is such a supportive group of girls.

Oh crunchy I really hope and pray its not bad news with your sister.

Well dawnofthedead excellent name. I have kind of decided (75%) to stay where I am....god I hope I don't regret this. I've got a contract from here saying I'm definitely guaranteed until the end of the year and then a bonus and will most likely get a contract to work for the new company as well. This all means I can go on holiday to Oz in 4 weeks time and keep TTC. I know they are maybe not the best reasons but they are more important to me than the new job.

Please please tell me I'm doing the right thing.

BubbaP · 08/10/2008 16:08

Girls

Thank you so much for all your messages - they mean a lot to me.

We have now told most of our friends and family which has been so upsetting. A lot of them didn't know we were TTC/PG.

Dawn - can you recommend a MC thread on MN? It will be nice to hear from others who have gone through the same thing.

I won't be away from MN for long - I've found it such a comfort when going through 1st time TTCing...
And I want to keep up-to-date on all the BFPs and news of the beans!

So see you all soon,
big hugs xxx

summerbird · 08/10/2008 16:51

linwin you are definitely doing the right thing, it sounds like a good deal of stability for you - good luck!

bubba stay in touch hun, and take care of yourself xx

Bubbap, TBH, I stayed on this thread and my other usual thread, because I felt that everyone knew me and supported me. It does get difficult at times though when there are people TTC and also new PGs being announced, but it may give you hope. There is a thread in the Conception section about "TTCing after a Miscarriage" which may help and I did pop on their a few times.

Alternatively, the other one that I'm on is the "Bonkers" thread which is near the top of where this one is. A number of them have been through MCs and are really lovely and supportive.

Linwin, sweetheart, you are absolutely doing the right thing and it will all work out the way it's supposed to.

Summer, how are you today hun?!!

saz007 · 09/10/2008 08:58

Linwin I agree with the others, you're doing the right thing!!

Girls I have a question. As you know I had my booking appointment with the midwife on Monday and my bloods were taken. I got a call from the docs yesterday afternoon asking if I could go back in (the receptionist sounded like it was quite urgent) so I'm going on Friday. Actually the woman put the fear of God in me!

I phoned them back and asked if it was serious (tbh I wasn't expecting the results back just yet) and got to speak to a doctor. Apparently they've discovered irregular antibodies on my red cells. I have to go back and give another blood sample for this to be analysed further.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I used to donate blood (obviously I stopped when we decided to TTC) so I already know that my blood group is Rhesus positive, so I know that it's not that. I can only assume it's some other type of antibody they've discovered in my blood

Sorry for the long post!

Morning Everyone

Saz sorry but im not sure what it all means, but i hope everything goes OK tomorrow.

Linwin i also agree with the others , that you are doing the right thing!! I think the security you have and also not having to give up ttc are the most important things!!

Dawnofthedead i cant think of a halloween name?! What about Vampire Vix?!

Well i am on CD 15 and think i am about to ovulate any second, or might have already this morning?! I have been doing my temps and ov sticks and everything is on track like it was last month!!
Me and DP have decided to try and BD every day from day 11 to day 18, and we are shattered now!! And its only day 15 ha ha!! Dawn dunno how you managed to do it!!

DP works long hours and is travelling home every night around ovulation instead of staying away, so think he is getting a bit sick of it now!!
Fingers crossed it will pay off!!

Does everyone else feel ike this when ttc, or are we doing something wrong??!!

We are going away for the weekend so should be a nice break!!

BIG HELLO to everyone else xx

DawnoftheDead · 09/10/2008 12:18

Hey all,

Saz, I'm really sorry hun but I have no idea what it is about. BUT, if you're really worried and want to know before tomorrow, why don't you call the surgery back and ask to speak to a doctor. We have one at our surgery that also does diagnosis etc over the phone and can talk through any problems. Why don't you give that a go? I'd want to know ASAP just like you!!

Vix, I must confess that we were just like you the first couple of months we TTC. First month I got PG and then had a MC, second month, nothing happened. So this month, we actually only BDd 3 times - !! I OVd on CD16 and we BDd once on CD13, once on CD 14 and then once on CD16 and I'm PG! So I would say it's all down to timing. Remember that your DHs little critters can only live for a max of 72 hours, so anything that you've done more than 5 or 6 days before OVing won't work anyway. I was quite lucky because my EWCM was very noticeable and I also got odd twinges just before OV time. So we just started doing it then. Remember that your temp won't go up until AFTER OV. So if you're temp is already starting to rise, you may have passed your OV stage... How much you do it over OV time is totally up to you. If you do it three times a night, there'll be plenty of critters in storage, but then the quality may not be as good. But remember, it does only take one?! . But isn't finding the right one a flamin' drag!!! By the way, loving Vix the Vampire!!!

Hope all that helped Vix...

xxx

Linwin · 09/10/2008 12:46

Thanks girls, that makes me feel a lot better about things. My poor DH is sick listening to me going on about it but I feel in my heart I am doing the right thing.

Saz I don't know what that means either, I tried to check it out online but all the articles were very detailed doctor speak and I couldn't understand what they meant, sorry. I hope its nothing too serious though and you know we'll all be keeping everything crossed for you.

Hi Vix are you going anywhere fun? I would kill for a nice romantic weekend away...ooh somewhere like that place in Edinburgh, the Witchery...shame we won't be able to afford anywhere like that for a long time to come.

Girls my AF still hasn't showed up. Do you think its possible it won't come at all this month? I'm on CD 45 today! Has anyone ever skipped an AF before?

heverhoney1 · 09/10/2008 13:23

this may be a silly question lin but have you tested since last week - you may have been too early???

wishinanhopin · 09/10/2008 13:25

Hey Ladies
How is everyone doing?
Well I stopped my provera cycle on Sunday and STILL no AF. I' m really bummed out. It worked last time to get AF going, but no such luck this time. I'm waiting for AF so I can start my clomid. If it doesn't come is there any point in starting clomid??

summerbird · 09/10/2008 13:47

saz i agree with dawn that you could give the doctor a ring. I hope all is well, let us know tomorrow when you get back.

go for it vix, DH and I made sure we BD'd around OV time, i think we were on every other night - good luck lady enjoy your weekend away.

just stuffed a MacDonalds - it was yummy! mmmmm

baby dust for you all

Vix67 · 09/10/2008 14:07

Thanks dawn and summer for your advice!! We have bd'd every day from d11 - d14 ( bd'd last night ) and im now on d15. my temp still hasnt risen, and my ov sticks showed positive yesterday. Also because i am on clomid, i get really sharp pains in ovaries around when im about to ovulate. So think i am going to ov today, will see what my temp does in the morning.
We really wanted to try and bd every day up till d18, but after 4 days in a row would love a night off and i spose it would give the little swimmers a night to get their energy back!! But then if i do ov today will i be missing out .... aaaahhh decisions decisions?!

linwin i am going to the lake district this weekend.... cant wait!! My cousin was trying for a baby for 18 months, and one month she missed a full period, it was awful!! She is PG now tho and due a little baby boy anytime soon!! I would do another test, at least to put your mind at rest.

Is there anyone close to testing??!! Could do with a nice BFP to start our weekend!! xx

Vix67 · 09/10/2008 14:09

Sorry wishin im not sure about starting clomid when no af, as i was told to take it from D2 of cycle.

Could you speak to your doctor to see what they sugggest?? xx

Vix67 · 09/10/2008 14:12

p.s. dawn i am really sorry i got you confused with another girl from the clomid thread!! Her name begins with a d aswell , and she said she fell pg after bding from D10 - D29!!!! Hence the comment " dawn i dunno how you managed it!! "

I bet you were wondering what i was talking about ha ha sorry!!

xx

saz007 · 09/10/2008 14:22

Thanks guys! I called back yesterday and it was after speaking to the doctor that I found out the extra blood test was needed because of these antibodies. Guess I just have to wait now and find out more tomorrow....ho hum patience has never been one of my strong points

Just had a sandwich for lunch and now I'm so stuffed I can hardly move. Not good when I've got loads on this afternoon!!

Linwin · 09/10/2008 14:42

Hi hever yes I tested on Monday with the clearblue digital and got BFN.

I definitely don't think i am PG as I don't feel any different to normal.

Is it worth going to the doctor or is she just going to tell me to monitor progress

wishinanhopin · 09/10/2008 17:53

Yes VIX I think i will go back to my Doctor, it take weeks to get in, but we'll see what she says. I just feel broken at this point.

summerbird · 09/10/2008 21:06

vix dont worry hun it wont do you any harm to have a night off, i think you are doing a good enough job fighting the cause as it is!!

saz i would be exactly the same as you, but it all sounds tickety boo to me

linwin how annoying, if you feel that your cycle is too long there is no harm in going to the dox.

wishin i am sorry you are feeling blue, take it all one step at a time, make the dox appointment then see what he/she says then cross whatever bridges fall your way (if any!)

good vibes and babydust to all

*

i am feeling blue as my tabby cat Dexter has disappeared, we saw him this morning but he usually comes in for his tea at 5pm without fail, he hasnt shown all night, i know it is not very long but i miss him, his step-brother (black and white Boris) is bereft too!

OP posts:
summerbird · 10/10/2008 09:07

Dexter the cat strolled in at 7am this morning, he had been gone for 24 hours, so not like him at all - little bugger!! DH nearly cried with relief.

saz007 · 10/10/2008 09:53

questions2008 · 10/10/2008 11:07

i've still got my achey boob tough, and blue veins are really coming out now. bahh...

makingafamily · 10/10/2008 12:10
