Morning ladies!

DawnAS - ashamed to admit never sure when I ovulate! I need to take myself in hand now.

Story so far, been with DP for 13 years, came off the pill June 07, just to see what happened! A big fat nothing. Cycle all over the place. Just settling down when my dear grandfather passed away, cue irregular cycles. Then I fell headfirst down stairs, broke wrist etc etc. Cue another couple of 40 day cycles & not exactly feeling like swinging from the chandeliars! But at least I got to sample gas & air as they re-set wrist - recommend that to all (the gas & air, not re-setting of wrist)!

So far 2009 drama free & regular cycles resumed. So this year I mean business! Currently on CD11, to gearing up for the big few days!

Positive baby vibes to all, x

shirleyc · 25/03/2009 08:28

Oh My god Laurie what a year you've had!
I am sending buckets of sticky baby dust your way god you deserve it!

fairywing · 25/03/2009 10:02

Well i seem to have quickly gt back into the obsessive symptom spotting Prepare yourself for waaaay TMI. Im on CD19 today, usually ov around CD16. Had lots of EWCM on days 14,15,16 (BD'd days 12 and 16) but also days 17 & 18 and now have loads of creamy thick sticky cm. Could this be a good sign or at only 3ish dpo is it waay to early for anything like this??

shirleyc · 25/03/2009 10:06

Hmm sorry Fairy i have no idea? I'm sure someone else will be along shortly to answer.

Sounds good you can take over symptom spotting this month, im just waiting for af cd28 today.

I'll happily compare symptoms though

fairywing · 25/03/2009 10:15

What symptoms have you had this month shirle? what are your instincts telling you?

PistachioLemon · 25/03/2009 10:15

Morning All!

shirleyc · 25/03/2009 10:47

As far as symptoms:

Feeling sick for last 5 days now on and of through the day not constant and not actually been sick. First came on whilst cooking pork and i love it! couldnt eat it
burny feeling sometimes in my boobs best way to describe it not constant
crampy pains last week stopped now though?
bitchiness more than normal
jealousy¬!?!? i dont do jealous
Increased hunger when i dont feel sick i can eat and eat and eat
Headache and blocked nostril (why just one could be a cold!)
Peeing alot - Seem to be constantly on the loo
Oh and worse one bad wind - i mean excessive bad for 2 weeks or so now!?

Thats about it for now, thus why i believe my symptom spotting is excessive see!! -

laurielou · 25/03/2009 13:26

Thanks shirleyc! Never a dull moment.

Pretty certain nothing going on so far this month for me, look forward to joining you in symptom spotting soon.

Actually feel better just for having a bit of an action plan!

DawnAS · 25/03/2009 16:02

Hello ladies,

Sounds like the symptom spotting is in full swing!!

I'll tell you what my symptoms were and you can see if you have anything similar:-

Weird feeling in boobs - almost like when I walked, my arm brushed against them more than usual, like they were slightly swollen maybe...

Peeing more frequently, but this didn't last long.

Felt like I needed a lie down in the afternoons, but again, only for a few days (I'm guessing while little Jelly was bedding in).

Cramps, like period pains but on DPO 10-14, never get that until it's actually AF time and even then only for about a day!!

Felt very bunged up - TBH the only consistent symptom throughout the PG. Permanently have blocked sinuses - DH is loving the snoring!!!

Very hungry all the time.

Only very slight nausea (this doesn't normally kick in until week 6 or 7), but think this might have been wishful thinking as it's normally a little too early at 4-5 weeks for that.

Anyway, hope this helps you ladies somewhat!!

Not much to report here. Got my first diabetic clinic tomorrow and as DH is away, my Dsis is coming with me, which is really kind of her. I won't need someone with me every week, but as it's my first one and they may need to start me on the insulin injections, I think I may need someone with me in case I forget what they say or forget to ask something important, we'll see...

Time for my afternoon snack now. Just taken my blood sugars and a bit pissed off that they're up to 6.8 since lunch when they were only 4.5 after breakfast. That's those damn crisps I had - my fave thing. Guess I'll have to save those for when I have salads and no carbs instead - boo hoo!!

Hope you're all having a lovely day ladies!! Will be back on later.

xxx

As I?ve said before Dawn and I are proof that there is life after an MC. I?m now just over 10 weeks PG, and, touch wood, so far so good.

Dawn sorry to hear you?ve got GD, hopefully your body will get used to the injections soon. I love the story about your mum, the mud and the dog!

MAF that?s such fantastic news about your funding!!! Woohoo! I hope you?re going to be celebrating in style! It?ll be brilliant to have you back on the TTC wagon! Thanks for updating the list, you?re a star.

Summerbird hope all?s well with you and the summerbean. Have you bought anything for the summerbean yet? How about the nursery?

I can?t wait for our virtual baby shower! I?ll be bringing a nappy cake and plenty of pink champers.

So here?s an update on what?s been happening here:
I had my midwife booking in appointment last week which went fine. And today I?ve had my scan date through: 15th April, at which point I?ll be 13 weeks, 3 days. Feels like a long time to wait, I?m so glad we went for the private scan last week.

I?ve also found out that 2 of my friends are pregnant, 1 is due on the same date as me!!! I can?t believe it.

Sticky baby dust to all

missiek · 26/03/2009 09:55

PistachioLemon · 26/03/2009 10:03

Morning ladies and welcome Missie

shirleyc · 26/03/2009 12:48

someone please be on!!!! Need some advice..... Left pg test on side in bathroom after doing this morning and just tidied up and got 2 lines????? I have to ignore this right as it didnt show up immediately?

makingafamily · 26/03/2009 13:21

Ignore it! I would say do another one as they say not to read them after about 20 mins

Glad its not just me that leaves pick sticks laying around

fairywing · 26/03/2009 13:22

Hi Shirley, technically yes you should ignore it as you can't be certain but if i was you i'd be retesting as soon as possible to put my mind at rest one way or another. What colour is the line? I know the first test i did when i was pregnant took ages to show and i'd pretty much discounted it till i glanced at a certain angle which showed a really faint line starting to develop. I realy hope its good news for you but of course the sensible thing is to assume it means nothing and retest....eek!!

shirleyc · 26/03/2009 13:23

i didnt bother looking at it after about 3/4mins i def didnt stare at it for 10 mins. Just left it there. I'll do another test in couple of days in meantime my lil sis is coming to look so i am not imagining the line! It got me going mad now lol esp as dog has been super cuddly with me for 2 days.

fairywing · 26/03/2009 13:37

A couple of days, you have much better will power than i do. I'm 3/4 dpo and already itching to test!! I'm so weak!

missiek · 26/03/2009 13:44

hello everyone, is it just me, or does everyone imagine every possible symptom? I've just had chocolate (I don't normally like it), is this a symptom??? I'm only 5dpo, and i'm sooo excited/scared at the same time!!!! I know I'll be disappointed, I just know it
I'm just catching up on everyones posts and just wanted to wish you all the very best and good luck xxxx

fairywing · 26/03/2009 14:45

Hi Missie, yep i've had really swollen glands for a couple of days now and keep trying to work out how that could be a symptom plus every twinge and niggle i get is obviously implantation. I'm terrible!!!

missiek · 26/03/2009 15:33

i've made myself worse now because i've spent the last 2 hours googling everything from opk results, ovulation, etc ... now i'm not even sure if I have actually ovulated, even though there was a definite dark line on CD11. I tested again on CD12 and it was lighter, which is why i've been surfing the net! I've got some pain on my left side and terrible bloating, but its too early for symptoms i think? hmm

fairywing · 26/03/2009 15:40

Has anyone on here done temperature charting? As its important for me to get pregnant again asap for various reasons i am considering it along with opk's for my next cycle if this one isn't successful (don't get me wrong i'm hoping but in cycle#1 of trying that would be pretty lucky!). From what i am reading though, wouldn't you know you were pregnant before you ever tested due to the sustained raised temperature? That seems like a big bonus to me it would take a lot of the guess work away wouldnt it? Also what to partners think about this does it add more pressure? I have so far avoided telling DH when i think i am ov'ing for just that reason but it does mean sometimes we missed the most important days last time. Just wondered what your experiences are really.

makingafamily · 26/03/2009 16:13

I'm crap at temping. Ask Dawn she was the temping queen

Google is dangerous! One month (some of you may remember this!) i got conjuntivitus and after 3 hours googling found 1 women, somewhere in the world who once had conjunctivitus and convinced myself if was a confirmed pg symptom

Oh no! Just realised i've got all this too come again Bring it on

Shirley, if you didnt check after 3/4 minutes i would say RE TEST Everything crossed for you xx

PistachioLemon · 26/03/2009 16:44

Hi fairy, I've been temping this month for the first time and using fertility friend to input all the data. There is a free one month trial so I'm not sure what I'll do once the month is up, but for the time being it's quite good.

As for telling DH... at first I didn't tell him anything about oving etc, but three months in we had a chat and now we have little red dots on the calendar for definite important bding days (so I don't have to remind him/appear like some horn crazed animal on those days). I just take my temp with an electrical basal body temperature thermometer when the alarm goes off in the morning but don't say anything or make a big deal of it. To be honest it's only been a few days but so far he doesn't seem to mind.

I think the advantage of temping (Dawn correct me if I'm wrong) is that you know when you have oved so you can see if there is a pattern each month and you can time bding better! I suppose it might also indicate if you are preggo, never thought of that really.

DawnAS · 26/03/2009 20:08

Hello all,

Fairy, so temping (I used Fertility Friend like Pistachio), I found brilliant and was lucky to get a BFP first month of doing it. Of course in my case that was probably a fluke, but I did find it very easy. Pistachio is right though that you tend to see the OV line after you've OVd with FF which of course may not be any good in relation to BDing, so I would definitely use OPKs and check for EWCM at first. But yes, you are right, if your temp stays high after you've OVd that is one of the signs that you may be PG. But I also got a temp dip on DPO 7 which turned out to be an implantation dip, so anything is possible. Just make sure you plot any symptoms as you get them after OVing and FF may tell you what your chances are. Good luck hun!! Oh and by the way, one of my first symptoms was swollen glands, but they were the glands under my arms. Very painful, but still a symptom. Thought I was going mad until I looked it up on line and other people had it too!!

Shirley, I don't want to build your hopes up, but I did a test on DPO10 with this baby and nothing came up so I threw it in the bin. But literally on the 10 mins, I had a funny feeling in my stomach and decided topull it out of the bin and check and there was a VERY faint line. And here I am 29 weeks PG!! TBH, I can't imagine that there would be 2 lines if you weren't PG, but definitely take the others advice and test again tomorrow...
