wishinanhopin · 29/09/2008 13:04

Hi all.
Well i took a pg test last Monday. BFN, and no AF. So I'm back to the DR this afternoon. I think she's going to put me on provera to bring on AF then back on clomid. ARRRRGGG not looking forward to clomid, it's really not a fun drug to be on.
Oh well us ladies do what we gotta do!!!!
Keep your chins up. It's so easy to get down, but support networks like this make everything seem okay LOL

Baby dust to all.

Hi summerbird yeah I might use that one. I also thought about saying I was on call with work so couldn't drink - altho I've done that for a few years now and it's never stopped me before
I have it sorted when I am at home/at PILs as I just have red grape juice in a wine glass and no-one questions it.

Hi wishin for the BFN and for the docs. Good luck for this afternoon tho [fingers crossed emoticon]

heylottie · 29/09/2008 14:12

Hi everyone - glad everyone is feeling a bit more positive! We CAN do this!
saz I would say that you should sit next to your dp, have a glass of red wine in front of you and keep swapping as he keeps drinking. That way you aren't drawing attention to yourself... as long as dp doesn't get completely trollyed of course!

I went to the doctors today to discuss my blood tests. He wants me to do two more cycles of day 21 tests as my progesterone is borderline low.

He DID say that i should lose some weight. Apparently, healthy eating and exercise should do it... If only someone had told me that before smacks self on head

Hey Saz,

I think the bladder infection one should work a treat - will explain why you keep going to the loo aswell!!

So, good news from me, OUR LOAN GOT APPROVED!!! We can now start looking forward to moving into our new house, assuming that everything else goes smoothly... such a weight off of my mind!!

Also, went to see psyhcic lady today. She told me that we would have two children, fairly soon, possibly twins, either that or only about 10 months apart - eek !!

She also said that I will be changing my job, albeit with the same company and she definitely doesn't see redundancy for me. Or I could have the option of another job outside the company. Both would be great for me and I would enjoy them both too.

She also said about big changes in Oct/Nov/Dec this year, which is when we're expecting to be into the house.

I got the Sun Card aswell which is supposed to be the best card that you can get!! So altogether, my mood has improved dramatically today!!

But to top it all off - thrashed DH at bowling on the Wii last night - even though I've never played with the thing before in my life!! Very proud of myself!!

xxxx

saz007 · 29/09/2008 16:03

Yeay for you Dawn!! That's such good news! And also at the psychic lady's predictions!! DH has got it into his head I'll have twins, still a bit at that one lol

I think you guys are right about the bladder infection/antibiotics one, I may give that one a whirl, thanks ladies

summerbird · 29/09/2008 16:13

Hey Dawn that all sounds good! if Jools Oliver can give birth to two within the space of a year then you can too!!

I have started reading her book again actually, getting some real life tips.

OP posts:
wishinanhopin · 29/09/2008 16:36

Go Dawn Go!!!
You're on a roll! I would LOVE to have twins. Plus on Clomid the multiple birth chances go up....so who knows. I'd be happy with whatever God gave me at this point. Well I'm off to mu Bi*@h of a Dr. Should be fun!!

Linwin · 29/09/2008 17:12

Dawn congratulations, thats a relief isn't it.

My interview was zzzz - don't think I want it but then beggars can't be chosers.

So, I'm CD34 today I think but the previous 2 cycles have been 34 and 38 days so who knows. Absolutely no symptoms. Ha! as I'm typing this I am getting the old familiar back twinges, so I'm sure AF will delight me with her presence shortly.

wishinanhopin · 29/09/2008 18:43

Back from the Dr's office. Back on provera to try to start AF, then back on good ole Clomid.
She's putting me on the waiting list to see a specialist (22 months wait time)YIKES. So I'm hoping I get preggers before that happens.

crunchynutter · 29/09/2008 19:02

dawn that sounds fantastic! You have been predicted my dream if it helps my nephew is only 20months and the babys 5days old and I think it's lovely!

Well it looks like you have been given some lovely christening suggestions. I found a site. I think it's www.inthepaper.com. Possibly co.uk! Where you can have peraonalised papers made (front covers!) I had one made for our first year anniversary (cos it's paper LOL) you can add pictures and write your own article to make it really personal. It wasn't very expensive at all!

Oh and yes I do love my cereal but I think the name came from me feeling really Un-creative when I joined and I was eating a bowl lol! Well it is hard to think when you're on the spot

By the way wishin what is the provera? I really don't k ow what the doctor will suggest about my lack of AF. Also sorry to be thick but was there somebody on here with PCOS? I'm sorry I have lost track a little! What Are the general side effects of that? I'm wondering if there's anything I might not think to tell the doctor that I should be! Xx

wishinanhopin · 29/09/2008 21:00

Hey all
crunchy Provera is a hormone. Not sure exactly how it works, but it gets AF going if all is working properly. I was initally put on it the first time AF didn't come. And I got AF about 4 days later, then didn't get it again.
Most Dr's like to get AF going before they begin a clomid regime.
I personally HATE clomid. It makes me feel dreadful,(hot flashes headaches and soooo tired) but it's well worth it if I get a BFP out of it.

Good luck!! and if AF isn't coming I'd suggest ou mention Provera to you Dr, it works for me, and I had no negative side effects from it (unless you consider AF negative)LOL

summerbird · 29/09/2008 21:01

ps - Dawn congrats too on the loan approval, the little palace will be yours in no time!

just watchd xfactor from the weekend, anyone a fan? i have decided that my personal favourite is Diane - the blonde boho girl, i thought she was really good, they made some dodgy decisions though especially with the ones who messed up.

wishinanhopin · 29/09/2008 21:03

also crunchy
here is a great site that explains PCOS

www.4woman.gov/FAQ/pcos.htm#e

crunchynutter · 29/09/2008 22:08

thank you!! That site was really helpful. I may mention it to him and see what he thinks. I have alwAys thougt myself to be rather hairy (sorry if TMI!) but it's hard to know if that's excessive or me being vain! I have got a few of the other symptoms too but again not excessively (I have two akin tags under my arms and have developed a dark skin patch on my nipple but I am not going to convince myself of anything at the moment! I would never have thought to mention thAt though so again thank you for the link!

dawn I forgot to say so congratulations on the house and loan! I am so please things are looki g up for you xx

Lorelei97 · 29/09/2008 22:35

Has anyone here been on 150mg of clomid? looking for some/ any advice....
Was on 50mg for two months then 100mg for two months. Scan yesterday not good and was told to take 150mg one last time and then they will consider injections. Have had a hard time on clomid- feeling ill a lot/ hot flushes like crazy- its cold here but im running around in a t-shirt- everyone in work thinks im mad and to be honest i feel like going a little mad too and then i start to cry over the silliest of things- know it will all be worth it if it works but dont know how i will cope with 150- would love to hear from anyone who has been there, thanks

Vix67 · 30/09/2008 12:03

Morning Everyone!!

Hope everyone is OK!!

Dawn great news on your loan, and the pscychics predictions!! Look at summerbirds prediction!!

Summerbird I am loving X Factor too, and think the boho girl is really good!! I aslo think the one who got through to the second stage a few years ago, she sang whitney houston on her audition and she has a fantastic voice!!

Lorelei I am also on clomid but am only on 50mg at the moment. SO sorry cant help woth the 150mg symptoms. Can I just ask, why did the doctor up your dosage, was it beacuse you hadn't fell?? I have had no joy at the moment ( have been ovulating but no BFP )and have been on 50mg for 2 months, now on 3rd month. Should I ask my doc to up my dosage??

wishinanhopin · 30/09/2008 12:26

saz007 · 30/09/2008 13:44

Hi all,

Hope everyone's ok today??

Congrats wishin enjoy your evening

wishinanhopin · 30/09/2008 14:49

Thanks Gals...I'm cooking supper, so the night may end in the ER with food poisoning LOL

DawnAS · 30/09/2008 17:03

Afternoon ladies!!

Wishin, Congrats and have a really lovely evening.

Summer, I luuuurve X-Factor too!! Defo going with Alex from 2 years ago - love her voice!! Also like the young girl who lost her Mum and the Guy that lost his Wife after she had his daughter. Can you tell I'm a sucker for the sympathy vote?! Also love that young Irish lad... Definitely didn't look 16 though - more like 12!!

Vix and Saz, hope you ladies are good today!!

So, news with me is, DPO12 today, temps still rising, no brown CM that I normally get 4 days before AF. And for the last couple of days since my temp-dip and crampy feeling, had to wee 3 times through the night and several times during the day. Also very odd boobs, not necessarily sore, but quite tingly and lots of weird stabbing pains in them.

But I'm still not testing... I think I'll test next Wednesday if AF doesn't arrive. That'll be DPO21 and it'll be the longest luteal phase ever if I'm not PG!!

I might use the Clearblue one then aswell, I just want to be past the stage that I MCd before....

Who else is in the 2ww or am I on my own.....

xxx

crunchynutter · 30/09/2008 18:22

happy anniversary wishin !! I love being married hope you have a lovely night xx

Dawn I think you are being very good not testing! I had morning sickness this morning (was sick when I tried brushing my teeth and then felt really nausious until about 12! I think I am thinking about babies so much I'm having a phantom pregnancy lol. I hadn't eaten anything different and I'm not usually sick but I know sensibly that morning sickness is a later symptom and I am not pregnant xx

DawnAS · 30/09/2008 18:56

Hey Crunchy,

How do you know that you're definitely not PG? I can't remember whereabouts you are in your cycle and you're not in the Stats....

I'm praying that I don't get MS.... I don't mind getting a bit of nausea but full-blown MS I don't think I could cope with.... I've had the sickness phobia since I was 11 and it's been 9 years since I was actually sick. Even the thought of it sets my heart racing....

xxx

Vix67 · 30/09/2008 20:16

Wishin hope you have a fantastic anniversary!! I am on clomid and was told to take it for 5 days on days 2 - 6 of cycle. Other people take it 3 - 7 though, but not sure if it makes much difference.

Dawn well done for being so strong and not testing, i dont know how you do it!!

Crunchy fingers crossed it's NOT a phantom pregnancy

I'm just thinking about booking a holiday for me and DP for around ovulation next month ( november ) but then im thinking what IF i fall this month, then would i still want to go??!! But then i dont want to put my life on hold either!! oooh decisions, decisions!!
