loobylou26 · 12/12/2008 17:37

Thanks for your support summerbird, it seems funny talking about it cos no one really knows apart from my husband, both of my sisters-in-law are currently pg and my own sister has 2 young children so i feel a bit defective or something so i dont like to talk about it to my family.
I have tried slimming world, weight watchers, tesco diets, cambridge diet and the atkins diet, which all worked ok for a short while, but it all came back eventually. The metformin has helped a bit, i am not starving ALL the time anymore or what doing so much of what i call 'pac man eating'. I have lost 2 stone in a year but I feel like time is running out as my husband is 40 already and we have been ttc for 8 years. With my various complications i am apparently eligable for gastric surgery but like you say it is a serious operation so im still thinking about it, im just tired of waiting.
I went to the hospital today on day 12 of my cyle and my little egg/follicle thing is only 3cm so not big enough, told me to come back next tuesday, day 16, for another look so fingers crossed it might mature as this will be my last go on clomid, they havent told me what they can do after that if anything...anyone know what happens after clomid doesnt work?
...Thanks for reading my rants lol

crunchynutter · 13/12/2008 16:56

hi all! I'm very proud of all you pregnant ladies (if proud is the right word?!) wildfig I was also here from the start and as you know didn't MN for a bit so I do understand how you feel. I've not quite worked it out yet but I think people get pg when it is right for them. And us poor people left waiting will get our turn!

I have the hangover from hell I was at my HOY's houseawt night and honestly didn't think I was that drunk- I did drink lots of wine a and got very giggly but I knew what I was doing and even managed to send a perfectly legible text message! Anyway I was vommiting most of last night, had a drink this morning (milk!!) and thee that back up and have had the shakes all day!! I hadn't eaten tho which is a bit of a different story but I think I feel so bad because I need food now!!! I have never been this bad tho! And I've been much more drunk LOL. Anyways at some point in the conversation babies were bought up and I'd said something like 'when I'm pregnant' my HOY then said your not now are you?! I said I bloody hope not with the amount of alocohol you've given me and we had a laugh. Anyway it turns out that another member of staff had been to one of his parties before and passed out she was so drunk-and found out she was pregnant afterwards!

I don't think am as Ive said we haven't managed to BD hardly at all this month but I'm feeling lucky now LOL I think this month would be a lovely time to conceive LOL.

Linwin · 14/12/2008 12:25

Hi everyone,

God its been ages since I was on MN and so much to catch up on.

Congratulations to Fairy and Micheala so delighted to hear your news ladies, and what a wonderful christmas present. [frgin]

Dawn sounds like you're having a bit of a crap time of it my dear. We're all here to listen and help in any way we can.

MAF sounds like progress! I'm really pleased for you. We will also be having a very boozy christmas, might as well make the most of it whilst we can!

Wildfig i totally know how you feel. I have been here from the beginning almost as well, but things have happened which mean we won't be TTC again until March next year. I am so disappointed that we have to wait as who knows how long it will take once we start trying again, but we don't have any choice. Yesterday we went out for lunch and my friend announced she was PG with no 2 and that they had wanted to crack on before they were too old. Had to bite my lip as I'm 2 years older than her! I can laugh about it today but yesterday I was not amused . It will happen for us all when the time is right...thats what I keep telling myself anyway, and in the meantime DH and I can make the most of our time together just us.

Big waves and hugs to everyone else.

I am feeling so smug as have got the most amazing christmas present for DH!

Vix67 · 14/12/2008 16:35

Hi Everyone

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend!!

Thanks for moving me Michaela but unfortunately i haven't got a BFP yet!! Ha ha!! Wishful thinking though!!

Wildfig i really undersdtand how you feel, i sometimes find it hard to ever imagine being PG. I have been off the pill for 2 and a half years, and next month will be my last month on clomid and am worried incase i wont ovulate naturally after that.

Anyway I am now on CD 23 and cant stop eating choclate so now the horrid AF is on her way!!

xx

MichaelaS · 15/12/2008 13:33

oops, sorry vix

crunchynutter · 16/12/2008 22:13

ok. Still vomitting but with an, erm, upset stomach too so I guess I caught the bug :-( I got sent home from work today and I've slept for most of it! I feel crap. Had the baby talk with my mom tho so she's prepared at least now. I know I didn't want to tell people we were 'trying' but I don't want people to think it's an accident either! Hope all you ladies are good xx

crunchynutter · 18/12/2008 10:44

ladies has anyone got any advice please?? As you know I've been very ill and got sent home from work. Well the sickness stopped yesterday but I felt awful, really lightheaded and I had an awful headache so I said I would stay away today. Well I've dragged myself out of bed this morning and AF is back-yes that's now the fourth time since start of novmber I'm worried that the way I'm feeling now is my anaemia back and not relAted to the bug I've had so I am going to get some Iron tablets. I thought somebody on here had saiid they had been prescribed the pill to stabalise their AF so they could then TTC. I was not on the pill originally due to my history with migraines so don't want that so I guess all I'm after is your opinions. Should I talk to my doctor or brave it out and wait for things to settle? Also I may be being silly but do any of you think it could be anything more sinister? I am a mess at the moment so I thought you girls would be able to at least sort my emotions out a bit!! Xx

heverhoney1 · 18/12/2008 13:12

Crunchy I couldnt let you go unanswered. Are you sure it is AF? If it is only very light it could be something like and errosion of the cervix? I had that earlier on in the year it caused very light bleeding for quite a while. The nurse did a smear just to check it wasnt anything more sinister but that came back clear. She said it was VERY common and was just inflamed tissue that normaly lies higher up in the cervix. It can be caused by hormone fluctuations. Mine must have been because it was just after this that my peroiods came back!! Moral of the story - call the doc/ nurse and get checked out but dont worry too much as is probably nowt serious!

Hi everyone else sorry I havent posted in ages I didnt know where to start there has been so much good and bad news from everyone. I am reading and thinking of you all. Welcome newbies and congrats to those with BFPs!

Dawn how you doing honey? Thinking of you. Hope you are in your new house and all has settled down a bit xxxx

heverhoney1 · 27/12/2008 19:01

Hi ya! Just a quick post to say I hope you all had a nice xmas and are looking forward to the new year. I hope its the year all of us become mummies to healthy happy babies!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

DawnAS · 27/12/2008 21:18

Hey all,

Just popping in to say that I hope you all had a great Xmas.

We finally exchanged on our house and completed the Friday before Xmas. We've had no free time since and only got our broadband connected on Xmas Eve. Poor DH was up until 3am for 3 mornings in a row to ensure that our dining room was decorated in time for our Xmas day guests. But it was done and we're getting there with the rest of the house slowly.

I hope that all beans and those TTC are Ok. We have the amnio on Monday but I'm feeling quite calm at the moment and surprisingly positive too. I just hope I stay that way. Unfortunately because we're having the test during the holiday period, we'll have to wait longer than the normal 48-72 hours for the results which is a pain. But at least it'll be over by then.

Anyway, this was just a quick visit so I'll reply individually soon!!

Look after yourself everyone!!

xxx

fairywing · 28/12/2008 09:42

Hi Merry Christmas to everyone!
Glad to hear you are in the new house Dawn and good luck for Monday.
We told all the family over Christmas so its all very out there and real now! I also spoke to my Midwife who called to ask a couple of questions and sounded lovely on the phone. I had a letter for an appointment on 4th Feb which should be my 12 week scan and i should get another appointment to see midwife mid Jan.

All very exciting and i am starting to relax about it all now and not be quite so paranoid!

Hope everyone else had a good xmas too and all is well

BubbaP · 28/12/2008 20:43

Hey girls,

Hope you all had a fab Christmas. Just catching up on all the news...

Crunchy I?m with you and keeping my fingers crossed for some BFPs in January!! Have you been to the doc yet about your AFs? Let us know how you got on.

Dawn I was so thrilled to hear that you moved in and got sorted before Christmas! How exciting to have Christmas in your new home. We?ll be thinking of you tomorrow, please let us know how you get on.

Fairy how exciting that your family now know about your bean! Fantastic!

Flirty can?t believe how far into your PG you are already!!

...And Hever are you over half way now too? How exciting!

Linwin hope you had a fab Christmas? so what did you buy for your DH??

MAF glad things seem to be on the up for you and your DP. Keep us posted!

Michaela hope you?re doing well. How?s that bean of yours?

Saz hope your scan went well. Yes we loved Florence despite the awful weather!

Summerbird hope you and your little summer beanie are doing well. I was so touched when I read that you cried when you heard the heartbeat ? wow, it must have been amazing. I think I would be in floods of tears!

Vix hope you?re well and fingers crossed that you will get your BFP soon. How exciting that you?ve got a fertility monitor ? you?ll have to let us know how that goes.

Wildfig sorry you?ve been feeling down. TTCing is a huge emotional rollercoaster, isn?t it? You don?t realise how tough it is until you start TTCing yourself. Big hugs and baby dust to you *

Well, I've been a bit up and down this month. I was when my AF arrived in early Dec, and then somebody close to me had a baby girl just before Christmas. For the first time since the MC I felt quite ... but I've managed to chill out over Christmas and spent some quality time with my DH so feeling a bit by now. I feel more positive and am hoping that 2009 is going to be a good year for us.

Hugs and baby dust to us all **

MichaelaS · 28/12/2008 22:05

hello all, hope you had a good christmas!

i'm ok, and i think the bean is good, but i'm a bit worried, had some brown blood today (not much though) and am now getting pains on one side, just aching and nothing strong, but if it hasn't gone by tomorrow I might go to the EPU and check its all good - at the very least it's a good excuse to wangle an early scan. Trying not to think about it tonight though as worrying won't help.

how is everyone else? What are you all planning to do for New Years Eve? Our plans have fallen through, and we'll have to be careful we don't give the game away with me not drinking. We're nto telling anyone else until the end of Jan (12 weeks).

love michaela
