Piper Lovely to "see" you back, glad you had a wonderful honeymoon, now down to the serious TTC business! If you don't have anything to report this month of course!
EI Any news on AF reappearing? Did you test as Fruity suggested? Hope you are OK?
Sparkly How are you welsh bird? Just be grateful you only got drunken texts last night and not a phone call What's the temp like today? Any signs of AF?
Fruity Your little mindee sounds like a bit of a nightmare bless him, hope DP behaves tomorrow for you, if not send him down here and I'll give him a tongue lashing for you!
Kate Sorry to hear about your friend, it's not good dealing with that at any time but with her DH being away as well Your NYE sounds lovely but I can fully understand your worries about the food, I think you will have to fess up, how will you explain away the non-drinking? People will guess straight away with the old antibiotic excuse surely!
TeeHee How are the pains today? Hope you are feeling better and not worrying too much
Emmsy Hope you have a lovely Christmas, look forward to catching up in the New Year when you reclaim your computer
Bella Glad to hear you're feeling better
CriCri & Mibbes Enjoy your first Christmas with Amy and Elise

I second what Georgie said about everyone being so supportive and understanding in our little gang, I'd like to group hug you all! I really wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

I have been a little low (which is why I've been quiet) didn't want to bring the thread down as it's full of such good news and christmas cheer lately. The anniversary of first m/c is approaching so I think that's got to me a little and I can't quite find my Christmas spirit (although I'm trying to find it at the bottom of a bottle! )

Love and hugs to you all x x x x x x x x x

MollieandtheIvy · 24/12/2008 13:08

Oops I forgot you Scully so so sorry Hope your ms is subsiding a little, you can chuck some of your heat over here if you like we could do with a warm up!

MerryCRICRIstmas · 24/12/2008 14:42

Sorry, not been on the past couple of days -Internet Explorer on office PC didn't like MN for some reason and kept crashing on me. No other sites, just MN So I'm now on the laptop to catch up!
Mollie Sorry you're feeling low (((hugs))) to you. It's difficult at this time of year, especially with an anniversary coming up. I remember how I felt last Christmas and it wasn't nice. Hope 2009 is your year and that this time next year you'll be looking forward to your LO's 1st Christmas...
Georgie Fab news about your scan, hope you're feeling a bit more reassured now. about the builders, the hassle you've had from them is just never-ending. Thanks for your lovely message and I totally echo what you said, this thread has been great. Hope we can arrange another meet-up in 2009 and get everyone to come along.
Kate Hope the entertaining goes OK and the teddy bear enjoys his meal My gran would do exactly the same - 13 at the table is a definite no-no for her! As for NYE I'd just see how it goes. Once people are drunk they won't be paying attention to what you're eating/drinking. I'm sure there will be lots of stuff you can eat.
Teehee I had bump pain too, Georgie's advice is good. Can you rest and put your feet up?
Fruity Hope everything is sorted for tomorrow and that you won't be having a pot noodle! Your friend's baby sounds a bit like Elise last night... Wasn't fun!
Mibbes Enjoy your first Christmas with Evan.
Scully Merry Christmas! It's almost the 25th where you are - hope the DDs have a lovely time.
Sparkly Hope your DD is fully recovered by tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you!
Bella Glad the ms has subsided. Resting as much as possible can help so get everyone else to run around after you. Now your Mum has told everybody you don't need to keep it a secret anymore!
Ei Hope you're ok - are you going to test after your weird AF?
Emmsy Have a great Christmas and thank you for starting this thread - it's been great. Here's to a great 2009 for all of us
In the meantime hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow

SparklyPseudonym · 24/12/2008 15:51

Happy Christmas Eve lovely ladies!!

Not much to report here...have finished the shopping, delivered the pressies, cleaned the house, done the wrapping and laid the table for tomorrow (phew). We're watching some crappy Christmas tv and DD in already in her new xmas pjs.
cricri and mibbes Enjoy your first Christmas with your beauties.
Mollie Are you feeling any better? Two babies turned into three yday - how to three people I know give birth on the same day?! Am hoping for lots of drunken texts/calls this Christmas. xxx
Bella My sickness didn't kick in until 8 weeks with both pregnancies so you're very lucky for it to be calming down already. Have you had scan date?
HTGG Am so pleased that all looked good at your scan. Temp dropped to 36.60 so expecting AF tomorrow. There wasn't much chance of a BFP this month anyway. DD much better today thank you. Are your girls excited for Christmas?
Teehee Me and DP seem to be getting the lurgy and then symptoms go....bet it will turn up in full force tomorrow.
Kate Don't think I'll test as temp has dropped over two days. How sad for your friend. I hope she's feeling better.
Fruity You would have loved looking after my DD. She was the only child I knew who didn't sleep (even from a few weeks old). She's made up for it now though.
Piper Would be fantastic is you managed a honeymoon baby!! Did you have a lovely time?
Ei What's the news with you? Has AF left?

Afternoon everyone

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already
Well, PIL's went to buy a Turkey last yesterday but the cheapest they could find was £40!!! Luckily they found one today at Morrisons for £17. I don't care really, would have been just as happy at my Mum's with a Nutroast. So, Pot Noodles and Fish Fingers are out.
DP off to do his bit of goodwill in a bit with his friend. They are taking presents to the Children's Ward at the hospital. Shame he can't be so thoughtful at home
He has told me they are going out for a couple (yeah right) of beers with another friend who is leaving for Dubai or somewhere for a few months. Great, so that means I've got a fun filled Xmas Eve by myself tonight He then asked me if I want to go out tonight when he's finished with his friends with, guess who? Yes, got it in one, the PIL's!
Umm. no thanks. We will be seeing them tomorrow and Boxing day. Do we really have to go out with them tonight as well?

Anyway, enough moaning now. Just gonna grin and bare it from now on - See?

I hope everyone gets all they want this year. Sparkly and Ei I'll be paying close attention to any news you may have over the next couple of days.

Mollie I hope you can try to enjoy yourself as much as possible, my problems are nothing compared to yours, I'm sure you can find that Christmas spirit if you look hard enough . Sending you lots of love.

Cricri, Mibbes how lovely to be spending Christmas with your little bundles of joy

Bella No idea where we're meeting, Any ideas Georgie and Kate? I'll only have DS now so I don't mind where we meet. Wimbledon seems like a good place to meet though.

Everyone else, A big Merry Christmas to you all!!!

HerNameWasSanta · 24/12/2008 17:23

Happy Christmas Lovely Ladies!!

Christmas Eve already!

Lovely to hear from so many of you today, I wish we were all having a big christmas meet-up this afternoon

Haven't got time to catch up with everyone - up to my elbows in sprouts and carrot & sweet potato mash! And I'm absolutely shattered today I'm trying hard to shake the feeling that this pg feels a lot more like my first than I'd like, which of course turned out to be a mmc... I feel similar to how I did then - loss of appitite, bit sick, etc and I have an intermittent niggle feeling on my right hand side so I'm trying not to let the word ectopic enter my head... But other than that I'm fine.

We're off to the candlelight service at church at 6pm which is always lovely. Am going to give thanks. I've decided it's all about the hallelujah this time, for now at least (Does that sound crazy...??)

Mollie I will be saying a prayer for you, I hope that's ok. I know tomorrow is an unwelcome anniversary for you. Sending big hugs. Happier times to come my love. We have to believe that.

Fruity I really hope you have a better christmas than you're expecting! Bloody PILs. Scuse my french. Still hoping to see you all on 2nd, but I'm SO behind with work I may not make it... Promise I'll try

Better go now, but sending much love to everyone I haven't mentioned, Georgie hit the nail on the head, you've all offered me so much help, friendship and support over the last year. I can't thank you enough. You're all fab!

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night! xx

Emmsy1 · 24/12/2008 22:04

Hello lovely ladies, 3 children asleep, only 2 left now, can't wait for them to chill out and sleep as santa wants to get on with his job The excitement has been tremendous today, it's very infectious. My neighbours have gone away for christmas (the one's I don't speak to anymore) so the children have really enjoyed today, they haven't had us nagging them to stop the noise/running/enjoying life, really need to win some money so I can buy a detached house, semi's are no good when you have a few children and shitty neighbours
I really hope you all have a wonderful christmas and all the very best wishes for 2009, you are all very special ladies. Really sorry fruity that your DH is being a total t*at, hope you still enjoy christmas with the selfish pig, love and hugs to you missus XXXX
sparkly think I will have a hangover in the morning, as already on to 3rd very large baileys! hic Only hope I can still do my job later when DC all asleep
mollie Sure hope you enjoy christmas you really deserve some fun and merriment with the bad year you have just had, lets hope 2009 is much better for you X
kate hope your ok my lovely XX
scully it's really weird, your already celebrating xmas day, and in the heat, would have really loved a white xmas for the children, but it wasn't to be Just grey and mild here, but I'm in high spirits, probably because my family have stayed away from me!usually don't get home until approx 11.00pm on a xmas eve, as I'm usually expected to do every ones christmas run for them, got out of it this year as phoned them last week and told them I was dropping off my presents early, I also picked up my childrens pressy's at the same time, they will all have to make their own arrangements this year.
Ei hoping that your bleed was implantation?? If it really is AF then make sure you have a few drinks, you really deserve them. 2009 will be your year, I can feel it in my bailey's
georgie really pleased that your scan went well XXX
cricri thank you for your lovely words. You are a truly lovely person. XXX
mibbes hope all is going well with you and your family,it's so wonderful to be a mum isn't it!
THLD have a lovely christmas X
piper glad you had a lovely honeymoon, hope 2009 is a good year for you X
Bella not sure if we have spoken before, or if you have changed your name? Merry christmas to you.
Really hope I havent missed anyone?
Merry Christmas to you all, and I really hope you all have a brill 2009 XXXXXX

Hope everyone had a wonderful Xmas It was also dd2's 3rd bday and she was so excited about that that she woke us all up at 4.53am dd's loved their gifts and we had a lovely relaxing morning at home and then headed to my stepsister's place for lunch and a swim in the afternoon. m/s seems to be calming down a bit now, still getting very tired though, but that's to be expected I guess. Going around to a friend's house this afternoon for a bbq and hopefully heading up to the Sunshine Coast on Sunday for a few days.
Hope you're all having a lovely time, whatever you're doing

SparklyPseudonym · 26/12/2008 09:22

Happy Boxing Day!!
AF arrived during the night but that makes my cycle a bit shorter and my LP about 14 days so I'm hoping things are sorting themselves out..we'll see though.
Will update the list.
Fruity and Emmsy [waves]
Scully Happy belated birthday to your DD. Glad the MS is improving.

Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday?
Sparkly Sorry TEW got you I was hoping your high temps were going to last. You're just waiting for me aren't you
EI I'm curious did you test after or did AF reappear? You seemed a little cagey yesterday?

Well girls I hope Santa brought you everything you wished for and that the BFP's are on their way

MollieandtheIvy · 26/12/2008 09:52

Scully Happy belated birthday to your DD too What happened to the heat I asked you to throw our way! Although I have to say it was quite mild walking home from Mum's last night, so if that was you thanks

Hi Girls, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are still enjoying the festivities or have some of braved the shops for the sales - I am staying well clear.

Sparkly Is that a good thing that your cycle is shorter? I guess so - haven't you had some horribly long cycles. Sorry this wasn't your month though, the countdown begins again! Mind you, you didn say you were going to wait until the disney trip was done. Xmas PJ's sound very cute. Did she enjoy yesterday?

Kate, Bella, Georgie & Scully How did you ladies get on with keeping your little secrets, although Georgie & Scully are you out of the closet now so to speak. Kate Hope you are still standing following your entertaining marathon. Did it all go smoothly? Scully Your sun filled xmas sounds really great - do you ever get used to it or does it feel a little odd?

Mibbes Haven't heard from you for a while. Hope things are going well, are you still perservering with the BF and how has your recovery from CS been. Hope both you and Cricri enjoyed your first Christmas' as Mummies. Did your LO's get fussed over and spoiled rotten.

Emmsy Glad to hear you put your foot down with the family. Fruity you will have to take some lessons I think. How was your day? Is DP still alive and well or has he been strangled with a set of Fairy lights.

Mollie I knew it - you have been hiding - naughty girl. You've seen the messages about how much we all appreciate the support we've had on the thread this year (which by the way I totally agree with) and much of that has come from you so you will always get it the other way. Please don't stay away - I miss you for a start but also know how much happy news from everyone will be tinged with sadness for you and others. The thing about Xmas is it is a finite point in the year so you can remember so clearly previous years so it is bound to be hard. 2009 is going to be your year lovely! Anyway, hope you had a nice day yesterday despite everything and the new year will help you feel like a new start.

We are still at my Dad's.Very peaceful and relaxing with the fire roaring, in fact I may have to take my jumper off it's that hot. Best make the most of it as this is our last Christmas on our own.

More food to eat so must go - really must stop picking (Teehee wanders off to find dates and cashew nuts........)

piper84 · 26/12/2008 19:05

Hi Ladies

Hope you all had a lovely christmas xxx

Sparkly sorry bout AFs arrival

Mollie (((Big waves))) I will have to dig out my themometer now, havent seen it in ages! should have asked santa for a new one hopefully AF will stay away and i wont need one. CD 43 is definitly a first for me

right i'm off to snuggle down on the couch for the night with a big stash of chocolate and crisps and maybe some wine

Happy Stephens Day everyone xxx

HerNameWasSanta · 26/12/2008 21:39

Evening lovelies

I hope you all had a fab christmas! And Mollie I hope it wasn't filled with too many sad memories for you lovely.

Scully I didn't realise christmas day was your DD's b'day! That must have been one hell of a christmas present for you a few years ago! Any of that mango salad left...?

Our christmas went well, although I am totally shattered I knew DH saying he'd do everything wouldn't work out that way... I didn't finish repairing the damage from yesterday and preparing for today til 11pm last night! And then we've had people here since 1230 today, plus the ILs stayed over night.... Looking forward to some time to ourselves now! I think we might go to the cinema tomorrow, maybe to see Australia, but it's VERY long... Although I quite fancy seeing Bond again. Nothing to do with drooling over Daniel Craig. Honest.

Piper 43 days!!! when are you going to test????

TeeHee no problem with the not drinking over christmas. Phew! Except when I decided to pour myself about 2 mouthfuls of prosecco yesterday and my mum said very loudly "but that's your glass" Err. Yes?!?! Thanks for that Don't think anyone noticed though. I think ILS may be surprised how hard I worked yesterday when they find out

SO sweet of FIL, I went shopping on 23rd to get some pink things for NYE - can't remember if I've told you but it's black tie with the theme "a hint of pink" & I'd seen some great pink shoes in the Jones sale at 1/2 price. But when I went to get them there were 2 pairs I really liked & I couldn't decide. They said I could return whichever I decided I didn't want so I got both and yesterday I was asking people which ones I should keep. Today FIL gave me a cheque for £35 to pay for one pair so I could keep both of them! So sweet! I really don't need 2 pairs of pink shoes though so I'm not sure what to do... still can't decide which to wear on NYE, I'll look for photos so you can help me decide!

Fruity I hope your DP and your ILs all behaved themselves and that you were waited on hand & foot (well, a girl can dream! )

Ei I agree about your post being a little cryptic yesterday, any news??? Hope you had a lovely day y'day with DD and DH xx

Emmsy Bet yesterday was absolutely MENTAL in your house! How lovely that your neighbours were away, maybe they'd like to go away permanently???

Big hugs and big waves to everyone else, I'd better go and offer another round of drinks/food/empty the dishwasher/reload the dishwasher/wash up the pans.... etc etc etc Oh well, no-one here tomorrow. And I'm going to pester DH for breakfast in bed! Yippee!

HerNameWasSanta · 26/12/2008 21:43

these? or these?!?!

SparklyPseudonym · 26/12/2008 21:53

Evening ladies,
Have just got back from my sister's house. AF is so heavy this evening and very red and clotty (sorry for tmi)....I suppose I shouldn't complain about it though - at least it's not old blood yet.
Kate I think the first pair but it depends what you're going to wear them with. That's very sweet of your FIL. Hope you do get BinB tomorrow!!
Piper In true Sparkly style....test test test!!! Ei You're keeping us all waiting on purpose, aren't ya?!
Teehee Cycle was only 32/33 days so I suppose that's a good thing. Am planning to wait until Feb before using OPKs and temping every day but would be very happy to have a BFP before.

Hope everyone else is ok.

sounds like you all had lovely christmasses
we had a lovely day with my little monster darling being so excited she was literally shaking from head to foot she must have been a very good girl judging from the sheer volume of prezzies once i gathered them all together
i got my pink nintendo DS lite and unfortunately a BFN but not to worry im confident the new year will be bountiful for us all
sparkly sorry AF came for christmas but heres to a shiny 2009 BFP for you me and all others waiting
hope everyone with beans/new babies have had fab christmases
lots of love

scully · 27/12/2008 02:49

So tired today, spent yesterday and this morning painting dd2's room, with no help from dh Yesterday morning he was mowing the lawn and putting up a trampoline but this morning chose to sit on his arse and so nothing. At least it's finished now, well the walls anyway, still need to do the door frame and skirting boards. Can't believe how tired it's left me though.
Really annoying me how many unfinished jobs we have around here and he's doing stuff all to finish any of them. Any wonder I want to go away for a few days to get a break from the house
No one still knows about me, I had a wine spritzer Xmas Day but because we had to drive across town no-one even noticed I don't think. Scan isn't until 5/1 so waiting until after that to tell anyone. Quite like no-one knowing actually, so it's not everyone's focus for the 6mths.
Kate, I like the first pair as well, have you decided yet?
No idea what we are doing for NYE yet. I would like to stay up the coast and come back on the 1st, dh probably won't, maybe he can come back on his own
Hope you're all having a nice weekend

hohoholaydee · 27/12/2008 09:07

Kate I'm with Scully, definately the suede ones.
Scully You need to give your DH a swift kick up the arse I think. I know what you mean about all the unfinished jobs, although I do wonder if the pg hormones suddenly make them more noticeable and urgent. I will be 6 months next week and I think it is starting to make us panic a bit about the amount we have to do.
Ei Shacking with excitment - that is so cute. Sorry about the BFN - enjoy the champagne while you can.
Fruity Where are you? Hope your lack of posting means you are having a lovely Christmas. BTW- Mamas & Papas maternity sale quite good - have any of you checked it out.
Piper Test Test Test

Hope all you with little ones are recovering from the come down OK - Emmsy Are you letting them let off steam while the grumpies are away.

Going home today, looking forward to having some time with no Christmas stuff to do and just me and DP - might acutally get the damn bathroom finished!
