Morning lovelies!

Am ok, still here! Though the battery on the CBD has run out so it doesn't say anything any more, so I can no longer indulge in my favourite past time from yesterday which was going up to our bathroom to look at it laying on the windowsill saying "pregnant"

Thank you for all your lovely messages, it really means a lot

We had DH's works do last night [yaaaawn] I'd forgotten how irritating I find him when he's drinking and I'm not. Was quite cross that he was the only one there who was pi5sed, which is probably unfair cos if I'd been drinking I probably would have been too! He was slyly drinking my wine as well as his, as we were sat opposite each other, so slyly in fact that I didn't realise and kept telling him off for filling my glass up and thinking I must be drinking more than the occasional sip I thought I was having! We had to do our menu choices ages ago and I found out I'd ordered a starter containing goat's cheese with cheese instead of pudding... There wasn't much goat's cheese and later I just ate the cheddar and a bit of the brie (couldn't resist! )and left the stilton. Can't think it'll be a problem. I must have had about 2/3 of a glass of wine which I would think is fine, although the consultant said ABSOLUTELY NO BOOZE AND NO CAFFEINE which I was quite surprised by. He said they had to do it one christmas when his wife was pg and they served everyone sparkling wine while she had apple juice topped up with sparkling water. He said it worked really well til someone picked up her glass by mistake!!

We're going out for what I suspect will be a VERY boozy night with 4 close friends on Monday, and I don't see how we can avoid telling them. I don't really mind, they'll find out at some stage anyway so I think we may as well... what do you think? They all know our history so NO WAY will they believe any spurious anti-biotics/ pre christmas de-tox baloney.

Fruity I'm sorry to hear DP's still being crap. Are you with the dreaded ILs over christmas? I hope you get some time to yourselves at some point, sounds like it would do you good to get away for a bit, but that's always easier said than done isn't it? Mind you, it would probably do most of us good to get away for a bit! Shall we all have thread spa day week to somewhere lovely and incredibly luxurious (and free obviously) with fluffy robes, amazing food, incredible treatments, snow outside and deer running across the beautiful gardens??? Think I may be loopy...

Teehee thanks for the tips. I have a couple of pregnancy after mc MP3s that the hypnotherapist gave me, and DH is getting me an ipod for christmas so I can listen to them I know what you said is absolutely right, and uncannily similar to what I said to you, so I will cut and pase your post so I can refer back to it at any dark moments! I'm REALLY glad you said you had your hair done early on this time, I think that and the fact that Lesley Regan agrees clinches it for me. Bye bye horrendous roots! I told my mum I might go dark last night (in case he could do some sort of semi-permanent wash that would be safer) and you should have seen the look of horror on her face! Very funny

Ei I truly don't know how you're managing to wait! For me the waiting is harder than knowing one way or the other, which is really why I tested y'day. Knowing the result doesn't change the result iyswim. So you have my full admiration! You'll have me logging on all weekend to see when you crack!

How about you cycle buddy Sparkly? Any symptoms?

Right. I relly ought to get in the shower!!! to everyone else

SparklyPseudonym · 19/12/2008 10:20

Morning ladies,

I'm off again today with DD. She's kept me awake for two nights and we've got DP's work do tonight - I don't think I'll be drinking (most unlike me) but I know I won't be able to keep my eyes open and I'll need to get back quickly if she wakes up/prob be awake during the night...ARGH. It'll be quite funny to get people chatting about the possibility of me being pg tho.

No symptoms here. Am guessing I'm 9dpo from EWCM/one temp . Not going to test though. Don't think I can stand another BFN. I'll just sit it out.

Was very yday. A very good friend of mine (she's a gorgeous/caring/kind girl) texted to say that she had found out she was pregnant again and was gutted. Her DD is going to be one at xmas and she and her parents are very religious and she isn't married blah blah blah. I replied to say that it'll all work out etc and told her not to worry about what people think (which I found very hard). She texted - I'm too fertile, that's my problem - I WISH IT WAS MY PROBLEM!!!! Rant over.

Oh my goodness....this is going to be a mammoth post but I have nothing else to do.

Ei I'll prob catch you a bit later on msn. How many dpo do you think you are?
Kate Isn't it annoying that the batteries die so quickly?! I've got a picture of mine on my phone. It really won't be long until your scan...am sending you so many good wishes for a very easy pregnancy.
Fruity Is your DP back from Spain? Hope you're ok.
Emmsy You've been very busy. Have a fantastic Christmas. I'll be thinking of you.
Teehee Yes I am sulking . I was a video now too if you can see beanie moving!!
Mollie LOL at you breaking the rules in work..How are you my gorgeous, lovely matie?
Cricri Are you getting excited about your first Christmas as a mummy? Will it mean more presents?
Mibbes And you as well....Am thrilled that Evan is taking the boob. You'll soon have nips like rocks .

Hello to everyone else...here is a list update. Am dreading seeing how much space this post takes up.

Last day of term, counting down now 1 hr and 5 mins 'til leaving speeches then off to party booo!!!

Fruity Yeah he is lovely with the cats, makes me feel all gooey inside! Blagh!!! Monday 22nd should be good, shall I drive over to you, Elysia can play with your mindees? She's a late riser so how are you fixed for 12pm lunch time?

HoHo That sounds a pickle too, It's such a shame they're not pocket sized really, well mine is now tee hee! then we could fit them in anywhere!

HeyThereSantasGirl · 19/12/2008 12:41

Just a quickie from me today as have to go and choose tiles for the new bathrooms, utility and cloakroom. Would rather be curled up reading a good book.

Kate Glkad to see you'll still floating on cloud 9. Long may it continue.

TeeHee Build going ok thanks. Although small rocket up builders posterior today! He's just being a bloke and not concentrating on details.

Sparkly Not suprised you're [fangry} at your friend. Rant away love. Any reason for DD keeping you awake? Have you tried Medised? Knocks mine out a treat .

Ei Have a lovely skive! Lots of telly and chocolate. Or is DD with you?

Emmsy I'm as excited as you about Christmas. Bet your house is just going to explode with noise on Christmas morning!

Fruity Oh love. i can't beleive that DP has done it again. Can you just lock him under the stairs til he promises to behave?!

Cricri First christmas with DD. Take lots of pics. I have a truely cringe worthy pic of Mollie aged 3 months on her first christmas wearing a burgandy velvet trouser suit (it was a gift) she looks like a fat, bald Elvis!!!!!

Mibbes have a lovely lunch. And hope those nips harden up!!!!!!

Piper Saw the pics on FB. What a gorgeous bride you were. Love the fur jacket/shawl. Lovely touch.

Scully How you feeling? Any let up with the MS?

BellaHarry Hope the party not too awful for you. DD1 breaks up 2.30. Wooooohoooo. No more school runs!

WhenFRUITYgotstuckupthechimney · 19/12/2008 13:19

Afternoon girls

Bella It's a date. Mindee should go to bed after lunch though so Elysia will have to play with C. How come she is such a late riser? Don't get used to that sunshine, you do realise that babies and children normally wake up at stupid o'clock don't you? DS's latest is; 5am comes into our bed, then wriggles and wriggles until I have to get up at 6.45 So, basically I'm awake from 5am every single friggin morning and he's a grumpy bugger all day. I suppose it's all good training for when Button arrives

Kate Glad to hear your coping with your social events well It's right dull if you're not drinking and everyone else is but oh so worth it!
Spa week sounds delightful. I'd love to be able to get away.

I can't remember the last time I had a holiday . I just wish DP and I could be alone together for 5 minutes. Last time he was a prize prick he said he would book us a hotel for a weekend. No mention of it since and plenty of prize prick episodes. Perhaps I should tally up all these weekend hotel trips. should be owed about 10 by now
He just seems to think he can have a single life as well as a family life. He doesn't seem to understand why he can't. Says he's only 27 yrs old so should be able to go out when he wants, get completely hammered and not come in until 6.30am - and on a work night too. Oh my god, I'm soooo - sorry, I said I wouldn't go into detail but I'm so pissed off now. Almost to the point of wanting to leave. Then I realise I can't because we have a mortgage to pay between us plus I would have to give up my Childminding. Believe me, at the moment this is the only thing stopping me from packing my bags.

Ei you're a naughty girl skiving, are you enjoying your day? yes if you wouldn't mind coming to give DP a big kick up the arse I would be most grateful He needs to be shown what reality is.

Dearest Sparkly at your friend. I take it she knows nothing about what you've been though? I can't believe anyone would complain about being too fertile Haven't these people ever heard of contraception if it's such a problem?

SparklyPseudonym · 19/12/2008 14:07

Afternoon girlies,
Didn't think I'd be back after such a big post before....
Me and DD are snuggled up on the sofa with an italian take away - she hasn't eaten and it's what she wanted . DP should be back from work soon.
Fruity I can't believe how men behave sometimes. It's so unfair - can you imagine if you did that?! DP brought L into bed at 1am and then went off to sleep in the spare room so I was awake with her every 30 mins - grrrr (and I was finding it impossible to sleep with her sleeping on me). The said friend knows about m/c but haven't discussed TTC with her. How is it so easy for some people?
HTGG I love medised but have run out and lots of places don't stock it anymore...think I may go hunting this afternoon though.

MollieandtheIvy · 19/12/2008 21:20

TeeHee How exciting seeing LO kick for the first time Get those pictures on now!! What a lovely thought driving a little further to come and see little old me! You must embellish on the wierd name suggestions from DP, sounds interesting
Emmsy Glad you are getting all christmassy!
EI Test test --test- How are you doing? Did you enjoy your day off?
Fruity So sorry to hear that DP is playing up again He needs a big kick up the ass, shall we all come down and do it for you, like the heavy mob? Did you ever get round to writing that letter to him? Maybe it would help, I don't know what to suggest hun, move out for a week? Would that help him realise how serious you are?
Kate I'm still smiling
Sparkly Hope DD sleeps better tonight, and your having fun at the works do? at your insensitive friend! That's the thing with us humans we get all wrapped up in our problems and sometimes forget about other peoples feelings! You know she didn't mean it, but it still hurts though doesn't it. On a more serious note what am I going to text you about tomorrow night now X factor has finished
Bella Hope the party isn't too bad
Georgie Good news about MFI! I thought of you as soon as I heard

hohoholaydee · 19/12/2008 22:06

Mollie I think we must be on some kind of strange wavelength as it always seems that when I come to post you have just posted or are about to - spooky. I will look up some of DP's more awful suggestions - I swear it will end up being called Sticky as I can't come up with anything I like - especially for a boy.

Emmsy Sounds manic and wonderfully festive in your house, I am really into it this year as well. Our tree looks so pretty - kind of sorry we won't be here for actual Christmas as my Dad doesn't really have a tree - Bah humbug! Love the idea of logging on together - wonder if we could make it work? Probably if we did it at 6am!

Ei Will be checking tomorrow to see outcome of your test - might even log on before work so get up early love!

Georgie You'd think it would be great to have to pick out all that new stuff but I think you just get decision fatigue and as you say would rather NOT go shopping - shocking I know. Yey for MFI news though, although probably lots of form filling and time.

Fruity at your DP (he doesn't even deserve an angry santa!) What the hell is wrong with him. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but a really good friend of mine had a nightmare with her DH when she was pg - he was going out all night, drinking, not really putting much effort into his business and basically acting like a big kid, but he got better as she got more pg and seems fine now. So fingers crossed your DP's behaviour will change - still needs a kick up the arse though. I vote Georgie and Mollie to oblige - I reckon they could be quite scary!

Sparkly Sounds like you are having a nice day with DD - hope she gives you a peaceful night. Promise photos this weekend!

Kate Have you come down to earth, you realise you will have to post or text every day or I will start to panic - (No No I won't cos it is positive thoughts all the way)

I know there are loads more posts to catch up on but need to sleep. This week has been too long and I still have to work tomorrow, must go to bed - although a slice of lemon cheesecake is in the fridge and I swear I can hear it calling me..........

DingDongMerrilyOnEI · 20/12/2008 01:05

teehee im not testing until sunday at the earliest (i am having to physically restrain myself from testing) its a good job the only test in the house is the CBD conception one i got free from mn and theres no way im gonna waste that bad boy i am gonna buy some cheapies tomorrow when we go to finish the xmas shopping as i still have a few bits and pieces to buy for SIL's and GMIL but either way i am having like a funny heartbeat feeling low down in my belly for the past few hours an d it is making me feel a bit restless for some reason like nervous so who knows!! im definitely testing on sunday if af stays away.
we had the BEST letter today our mortgage rate is going down to lower than what it was when we first bought our house 3.5 years ago!! it will be saving us around £130 per month were over the moon and are going to put some of it aside so we can finally have a family holiday together next year
sorry for the me me me but there we go...
night night ladies speak tomorrow
xx ei xx

scully · 20/12/2008 01:37

Tried to post yesterday but keyboard was doing strange things......Congrats Kate, wonderful news You and dh must be thrilled.
Fruity, your dp sounds like he is in denial about being a father again, maybe this is his way of getting it out of his system before no.2 arrives? Sounds like you guys need a little holiday before the baby arrives.
They are all useless at some point during a pregnancy though, this is my 5th pregnancy so you would think dh would know to get off his arse and help without being asked, but no, it has taken for me to have crap sleep every night this week and still have m/s before he clicks this morning that I'm not coping that well with life right now I'm sure it's all made worse by the heat, another day over 30 yesterday, ugh.
How great about your mortgage reducing Ei We fixed our mortgage a year ago, which was great until about 4mths ago when interest rates starting dropping Haven't checked what it will cost us to change to variable, hoping interest rates will go back up again next year
Better go, am being pestered to play cards with dd1, hi to everyone else

HerNameWasSanta · 20/12/2008 14:34

Afternoon all

I'm feeling distinctly ropey today, but I'm determined to keep teeling myself it's all in my mind, for at least another 2 weeks anyway!

I have something ridiculous to tell you all. We were planning on waiting for as long as possible before telling our families, and DH and I have been concocting strategies to get through christmas. So this morning my mum came in and... asked me if I was pregnant!!! She said I 'looked different' and that I was drinking camomile tea the other day. I always drink camomile tea. But of course I couldn't lie to her, and she was absolutely thrilled! I just can't believe she guessed, especially not so quickly!

I'll be back to catch up with everyone else's news later, sorry for the me-me-me post, apparently we have to go and buy vegetables for christmas now! Lucky us! Love to you all, Ei I'll be logging on first thing in the morning!!

SparklyPseudonym · 20/12/2008 16:57

Hello all,
Am on the sofa in PJa with a hot water bottle . We've been on a mountain railway to see Santa and then came back and watched Cinderella in bed...I love Christmas.
Am going out with friends tonight for dinner (although have a bit of lurgy from DD) so hoping I feel better soon.
Kate It's amazing how you mum knew. My mum is always banging on about her sixth sense but she didn't guess I was pregnant.
Scully Hope it gets a little cooler for you.
Ei Lots of luck for testing tomorrow. I'm determined not to test this month.
Mollie You can text me about anything you want. We'll always find something to talk about .
Teehee Only one more day of this weekend left [fwink[. Get a move on....

Evening everyone

I've managed to sort out the last few bits of my xmas shopping today.
Babysitting tonight from 8 till 12, I might have to take some matchsticks with me to hold my eyelids open, I wonder what this house will be like I love nosying around other people's houses - great thing about babysitting.
Just realised there's nowt on the box tonight so not sure what the hell I'm gonna do. I would take the laptop but don't like to ask for their wireless password.

Sparkly that railway sounds fantastic Did dd enjoy herself?
Kate Amazed at what your mother said Must have taken you by surprise!
Scully You could be right about DP. He wasn't very good while I was preg with DS either. Really upsetting though when I need his support right now.
Ei Fab news about your mortgage . We've got another year left of fixed rate. Hoping the interest rate will be even lower by then! I can;t wait to hear what the outcome of your test is tomorrow morning. Don't leave us hanging on for too long will you!
Mollie Thanks for the offer I didn't write that letter but I did write a different one a couple of night ago but he didn't read it. Just threw it on the chest of drawers. I threw it in the bin the next day before he could read it - I chickened out.

In fact he's now made me think it's all me. This morning he told me to cheer up and stop being so miserable all the time I didn't respond. Couldn't bare getting all upset today. So I walked away.
Wanted to yell at him "Can't you work out why I'm so miserable?!!!"

Anyway, we've had a decent day today. Dropped DS at my friend's house for a few hours while we went shopping. Although he did suggest asking his mum to join us I just said wouldn't it be nice if we could just spend 5 minutes alone together.
Hey, we might even get through an entire weekend without the PILS if I play my cards right

Has anyone seen the new MN set out? I don't like it at all. Lots of people seem to like it though.

SparklyPseudonym · 20/12/2008 19:31

Am ready to go out with 15 mins to kill....
Fruity Hope babysitting doesn't drag too much and you manage to find something decent to watch. Haven't seen the new MN - how do you find it? Really hope things sort themselves out with DP. xxx

Gotta go now, just been landed on by a big hairy spaniel... (Am still in bed! ) But I'll be back later Ei!! xxx

Moring ladies. I've been struck down by some type of lurgy. Very very sick yesterday, pounding headache, blurred vision. Ugh. Let's just say that I'm never eating tomato soup again. Bleurgh. Not a happy bunny. Bit better today though.

We're all off the Hampton Court (plus my ma and pa) to go ice skating! Can't wait. Mollie and Libby love it and I'll watch from the side lines this year.

Ei Am keeping everythng crossed for you.

Fruity When I see you on 2nd, you have a jolly good maon about DP to me. get it all out of your system. He's being rather childish.

Kate Would love to be a lady that lunches. Depending on the day, might have one or both of the DD's with me. But they are beautifully behaved () in restaurants!!!

Will post more later. BIG hello's to everyone else. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

No sign of Ei then? C'mon woman!

Kate I would love that Great idea. I'll be working as normal though (except the bank hols) plus DS doesn't go back to school until 7th so will have 2-3 kiddies with me so somewhere cheap and child friendly would be nice I'm sure Georgie will have her girls too.

Off to see my friend and her poorly baby this afternoon. They came home on Friday. Looks like she has a very rare problem which means she doesn't produce enough fluid for the nerves. She's on 5 lots of medication per day which she'll be on for the rest of her life At least it can be treated though. My friend said she's like a different child now so that's good.
Luckily it seems to be just localised to her throat, it could have been much worse.
Really puts all normal everyday problems into perspective, I should stop moaning so much.

I'm hoping while I've been typing this (it's taken me bloody ages cos DS keeps distracting me) that Ei might have posted................................

Afternoon ladies,
Can't decide whether my hangover is actually worse than lurgy. DD still poorly but hoping we'll all be better by Thurs. Had a lot of fun last night - just what I needed. Think AF should be here by Weds...DP said today - when we get a BFP on Christmas day blah blah blah....he lives in dreamland.

Fruity Very sad about your friend's baby but I'm so pleased they have identified what the problem is and can medicate. How was babysitting?
HTGG Hope you're feeling better soon.
Kate Did you get anything nice in M&S? How are you feeling?

We're off got a walk to the local fare. See you later girlies. xxx

Oh bugger it Ei, so sorry. Your body was giving you so many clues too.
You sound very optimistic though? Glad you had a good night last night. Anyone do anything embarrassing? There's always something at a work xmas do.
Ei great idea about just going for number 3. I'm not going to bother with any contraception once this one comes along. What's the point when I have such messed up cycles! PCOS is contraception on it's own

Sounds like you also had a lot of fun last night Sparkly
14 months is such a long time when other people seem to get preg so quickly, it's not fair. I wish I had a magic wand for you all. I wonder why DP said xmas day you'll get a bfp? Are you due to test on that day? That would be one special present wouldn't it

Just been to see my friend and her baby. Friend seems really happy, so nice to see her enjoying herself - I went with a mutual friend. Baby loks really healthy right now and apart from the feeding tube going into her nose, you'd never guess anything was wrong. She's soooo cuuute! and gurgles and smiles all the time

DS driving me mad just now so bye for now!

Had an early Christmas with my parents, mum announced my pg to everyone!!! DH is not happy about that, not sure I am too?

ei how early can you test?

HoHo what does it feel like when the baby kicks?? sounds like it's fairly common to not be entirely ready decorative wise too soon, everyone keeps telling me the same thing!

fruity sorry I'm going to have to cancel monday's plans, got no car so can't get to you. S*!t
