Hello ladies - just checking in, still here, no baby yet !

Fruity oooh your flat is lovely - very swish

cricri lovely to hear all going well with wee Elise (I so love that name !), if I have a girl we'll have almost the same name for our DDs

Kate hope you're ok missus xx

Off for my pre-baby cut and colour today - will be back later all gorgeous and ready to be a yummy mummy

MollieMooma · 28/11/2008 11:18

CriCri As if the HV would have cause for concern, of course Elise will be doing fanastically she's got one of the best mummy's in the world!
Mibbes Glad to see you're checking in daily, are you fed up yet?
Fruity Nice flat! Have you had much interest yet?

Well I feel suitably as poor DH ended up in A&E after his bike accident yesterday and has fractured a bone in his wrist oops I thought he was just being a typical moanie bloke! Anyway been to fracture clinic today and as it's gone back into place they are happy for him to just to keep a splint on and not a cast for 2 weeks. So thankfully he can still work and Im sure he can push a hoover with his left hand!
But good news is my knee is looking a lot less swollen and eventually some of the bruising is coming out-took long enough
AF has left, but still being good and TnTC.
Hope everyone else is OK and looking forward to a chilly weekend

Mollie thanks for graduating me, yup still true 4+1 now, got doctors apt tonight, bet she says nothing-too early etc...

FruitynNutty · 28/11/2008 17:04

Bella If you haven't been to the GP's yet. Pretend you don't know when your AF was due. You'll get to see little bean early on a dating scan Always nice to have a scan

Mollie Poor DH Well we all know how much these men exaggerate don't we. Too much drying wolf, serves 'em right if we don't believe them when they've really hurt themselves. Glad to hear your knee is getting better. I keep forgetting about mine (from when I slipped in the road months ago) and then remember when I kneel on it - it's so sore it makes me scream out loud Really must get it checked but keep forgetting as it only hurts when I kneel on it. Well done with the TNTC, you're very strong!

Mibbes We want to see pics! pleeeeeease!
I cant believe you're about to pop Then it'll be my turn

Cricri Great news about Elise being spot on DS was always the top centile on that bloody chart. He wasn't even fat, just really really solid. Made him look like a fat bloater on paper though.

Off to take DS bowling tomorrow afternoon with my neighbour and her boys (one of which I look after on a daily basis). This is the one with the older boy with Aspergers and ADHD. I suggested going to the cinema instead (so DS wouldn't be so influenced by him) but she said he's really looking forward to bowling now plus she's got the baby anyway so cinema is out I hope her boy behaves himself tomorrow
I feel really bad for feeling this way (and her DS can be really really sweet) but my DS is at that age where he's really influenced by everyone, especially older boys. He's a bit of a sheep anyway so will copy everything he says and does.

I'm babysitting tomorrow night for a 1 month old baby, I'm hoping I'll get a cuddle .

FruitynNutty · 28/11/2008 17:06

Obviously I meant Crying wolf, not drying wolf

SparklyPseudonym · 28/11/2008 19:12

Hiii ladies,
Am shattered tonight. DP has gone away so I've put DD to bed early and have opened a bottle of wine.
Teehee Am still over the moon for you.
Mibbes The days are ticking by....so exciting. You feeling ok?
Fruity Your flat is looking lovely!! Have you had any viewings yet? Don't know what is waking DD. She was awake at 4am today. Wondering if she's afraid of the dark. Hope bowling goes ok.
Mollie How is your DH? Were you off work today too
Cricri Elise is doing so well. I can't believe she's nearly 4 weeks!
Ei Thank you so much for the orchids. They are beautiful and look lovely in my dining room xxxx

Hi to everyone else

OP posts:
teeheelaydee · 28/11/2008 20:41

Sparkly I am also knackered and for the first time really since getting pg would love to crack open a bottle of wine. Oh well, working again tomorrow too. My horrid boss has me working every Saturday except one before christmas (Bah Humbug!) so I get this funny middle of the week weekend on Weds and Thurs. Hope your DD doesn't wake up so you can put your feet up and then have a lovely sleep.

Fruity Love your flat - particularly loving the fireplace in the lounge - really gorgeous. How are you feeling about the whole selling thing now? Have you got used to the idea. You just never stop surrounding yourself with kids and babies - you are a glutton for punishment. Hope bowling is event-free.

Kate Where are you? Let us know how you are.

Mibbes Did you manage to sit for all that time in the hairdressers - cut and colour can get sooo boring I always find. Now that your hair is done there is nothing stopping you going into labour. A friend of mine went into hospital too early with her first and they sent her home for a few hours so she decided to straighten her hair and it was the middle of the night! Orchids - how J-Lo of you Ei - gorgeous though and there is nothing like getting flowers and most of us probably can't rely on DP/DH's to oblige.

Mollie Hope DH doesn't get his own back my making you wait on him - if he does just start hobbling. Bless him though, must be quite scary having a bike accident.

Cricri Loved the last lot of photos on FB, she really is adorable - made me feel all excited!

Georgie & Scully Hope you are OK and growing healthy strong beans? Sending all my sticky vibes to you (well most of them need to keep some for myself still if that's OK with you.)

Night Night girls - I won't be long before being tucked up in my bed I think.

scully · 29/11/2008 02:02

George, great news about your scan, sort of looking forward to mine on Monday, iykwim
Kate, hope you're feeling a little better now? Understandable to have mixed feelings about your anniversary, when you make plans for the future but it takes a different course.
Your flat looks lovely Fruity, are you hopeful you'll get close to the asking price? Do you want to rent in the same area?
Still feeling quite crap most days, gone right off tea, which I remember from the other pregnancies and just don't know what to eat most days, although have the urge to eat something. Very humid here today, which isn't helping
Did manage to finish off a chunk of Xmas shopping today, in a half an hour window I had between the shops opening and having to take dd1 to gymnastics, so quite pleased with that
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all having a nice weekend

FruitynNutty · 29/11/2008 10:05

Morning,
Just found this on the Christmas topic on MN
It's so clever, DS was amazed!:

family.go.com/santas-list/

FruitynNutty · 29/11/2008 18:20

What's everyone up to today? s'very quiet

I'm bored. Babysitting at 8 tonight and really don't want to but the money is soooo handy even though it's spent in seconds.
DP has pissed me off as usual so I just want to go to bed and start a new day.

Bowling went well. DS even got a strike without any help from the stand thingie just rolled the ball. Must have been a fluke.

I really really want my flat back now. Much as I love the PIL, DP, DS and I really need our space back. Although I'm the only one that thinks so
I know it probably sounds like my hormones are racing around but I get really jealous when DP kisses and cuddles his little sister (11 yrs old). He doesn't even look at me and he disregards everything I say and just completely disagrees with everything. Avoids talking about the baby.
It's really bringing me down.
I thought I'd try to write him an email yesterday but I didn't even know how to begin so just left it.

I can't remember the last time DP and I were alone together - without fighting In fact yes I do, we went out for pizza one evening about 3 weeks ago.
They are moving out soon as they have found a flat to rent nearby.
Still, MIL has just got a job in M&S and she gets 20% discount so cant complain too much

Whoopsie, didn't mean to spill all those feelings. Ah well, feel a little better already now they're out in the open

FruitynNutty · 30/11/2008 14:51

Bloody hell it's so quiet.
I'm still bored. Just got back from shopping to an empty house. No idea where anyone is. Mobiles off. Great, another crappy day to finish off my weekend.
I should be glad for the peace I suppose.
Just managed to spend £60 in Hennes. A pair of jeans and a top, a belt for DS and a few little girly present things for my little girl mindee's birthday.
BTW, What happened to the "Buy your normal size" rule in maternity clothes? I'm normally a size 10. I picked up the 12 thinking they'll probably be too big so picked up a 10 too. Great, the 12 is so tight I can't even get them past my thighs Had to go and get a 14 Even they are quite snug I think they've shrunk all their clothes in Hennes, the bastards.
Went into the pound shop and bought myself a large bag of Minstrels to cheer me up, I ate them all on the way home feel a bit sick now.
What's everyone doing on this glorious day?
I'm sooooooooooo boooored.

BellaHarry · 30/11/2008 19:08

Hiya all, went to visit my family this weekend and made it all the ways to goodbyes without spilling my news then out of no where my sis asks me if I'm pg and more freaky than that my mum tells me she had a dream last week that I had a little girl, and asks if I'm pg too! How weird is that!
fruity why are you choosing to sell now, funny market and all? Is it a space issue?

I have a niggle I've got all these twinges and aches in lower abdomen, constantly aware of stuff going on in there, been really bloated; have to undo my trousers when sitting down. I've been waking up every night all achey, sometimes in my back too. Is this normal? Anyone else had/have this??? I'm 4+3 today help

MollieMooma · 30/11/2008 19:16

Scully Have you had bad weather? FB says you lost your shed roof? Oops Good luck for tomorrow I will be thinking of you my lovely x
Fruity Sorry to hear you are a bit down about things , writing down how you feel is a really good idea, you should try and make the time to do it when DS is in bed tonight, I find it really therapeutic, even if you don't end up giving it to your DP it might make you feel a bit more upbeat.
Yey for the discount though! I've just ordered my nephews Christmas present and got 10% through Mumsnet on a gorgeous melamine dinner set from Emma Bridgewater for him
Georgie Saw your comment on FB, pants! MFI! Pants again! Really hope you get your deposit back, it's the last thing you need after all the other crap with the building work that you've had, hope the in-laws visit has gone well and you made them run around after you!

It is very quiet in here this weekend, everyone must be very busy
This will make you laugh, DH and I tried for a bit of nookie this afternoon, well with my bad knee that I can't put any weight on and he can't put weight on his right hand, we're we in stitches, couldn't get a position that felt right or didn't hurt various body parts, it was a complete disaster!! Good job we're not trying this month

FruitynNutty · 30/11/2008 20:20

A, ha. There you are!
Bella Don't worry, all completely normal. There's a lot going on in there. You probably wouldn't notice if you didn't know you were preg. I think knowing makes the niggles more apparent. I was incredibly bloated throughout the 1st few weeks. Then I went from bloated to mahoosive when the baby popped out of my pelvis. I looked pregnant from about 7 weeks, just through being bloated
How weird about the dream and your sis. So did you admit it or spill the beans?
Usually, you dream the opposite of what you're having (obv old wives tale) not sure if it's the same if it's someone else who has the dream though. I remember having a dream (when pg with DS)about having a beautiful baby girl with lots of dark hair. You know how blond DS is so that was the complete opposite!

Mollie that is very funny! I'm trying not to get a mental picture but it's impossible, don't worry, I'm imagining you both FULLY clothed!

Well, DP and I have made up. I've told him everything and he apologized and promised to try to change Let's hope he means it.

mibbes · 30/11/2008 21:04

Apologies in advance, haven't had a chance to catch up, this is a 'me' post...

I had a sudden gush/squirt of liquid about an hour ago - definitely not wee - and it was light pink. Very strange as doesn't appear to be waters going as just a tablespoonful, but defo not a show as watery... arrgghhh is it all kicking off ? or is this something random ? HELP please !

BellaHarry · 30/11/2008 21:09

fruity thank you hun, it's really worrying me I'm off to bed now; early to hope it improves!I admitted to mum and sis, but don't want to worry Grandma and Little sis (12) just in case!

mibbes Good luck!!

MollieMooma · 30/11/2008 21:09

Mibbes Not many of us about this evening but I have googled for you as I obviously know nothing about this
It does state that water could have a pinky tinge and how much it is varies for each person so I reckon they have!!!! This could be it!!!!! I'm so excited for you If this is it, good luck chick here's hoping for a pain free (ish) labour

mibbes · 30/11/2008 21:17

Bless you Mollie you are such a sweetie - am off to ring triage to make sure nothing to worry about, then going to sit here waiting for miblet's arrival.... nothing else happening though !

HappyandEiknowit · 30/11/2008 23:08

oooh!! i disappear for a few days and it all kicks off in here
mibbes sounds like it might be your hind waters that have gone your waters can have a pinky tinge to it which is usually to do with the dilating cervix and the little bit of blood associated to that which is normal BTW i hope this is it and you will be holding your little baby in a few short hours
anyone want to take bets for what flavour the baby will be?? i say miblet will be a little bouncing baby boy
fruity sorry you and DH have had some problems im glad you have sorted it out now and YAY for C and his strike!! clever boy
mollie poor you and your DH and you sex-shambles me and DH have got this problem at the mo as he has been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in his right wrist/hand and i have sore hips from having DD which i keep meaning to have looked at but 3 years down the line still havent so between us its like sex for the challenged ahh well
scully good luck form tomorrow
hello to everyone else not mentioned by name
xx ei xx

kate2179 · 01/12/2008 00:06

Just a quick one to let you know I haven't forgotten you all

Wanted to pop in to say good luck for tomorrow to Scully, but sounds like I'd better say good luck to Mibbes as well! Mibbes I agree with Ei, it does sound like your hind waters, but where it goes from there, or at least how long it takes for things to start happening, can vary enormously from person to person... what did the triage say? Keep us posted, it's not like you'll have anything better to do!

Scully I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, please let us know how it goes

Got to go to bed now, but will catch up properly later. Still not feeling great about stuff but what can you do. Went to see Will Young in concert tonight - he it was AMAZING Sweet dreams for me tonight!

Love to all, sorry for being awol/a miserable cow xx

scully · 01/12/2008 01:36

Mollie, your description of afternoon nookie was very funny, good thing you aren't trying this month We've had loads of storms here lately, lost power twice and had our skylight damaged by hail, and the strong winds we had Fri night blew part of the shed roof off. I'm not tall enough and it was too humid on Sat for me to show any enthusiasm for helping dh fix the roof, so he is going to get some mates around to help, thx goodness......
Georgie any news on MFI? Also saw your comment on FB, that was a big deposit, what had you ordered? I'd be furious.........
Good luck Mibbes, sounds like things are happening
Another busy weekend for me, I'm a bit over all this socialising right now, given how crap I'm feeling. But takes my mind off it as well I guess. Went to see Sheryl Crow/John Mellencamp in concert last Tues night, both were good. This Sat we are going to see Billy Joel in concert, hopefully I can stay awake to enjoy it, as the support act only comes on at 8pm, about my bedtime
Had my scan this morning, all went well I gained a day so am 8+0wks today, due on 13 July. Heartbeat was 174beats/min, and she said everything looked good. Seeing my gp in 1.5hrs time so will then get the paperwork started for midwife checks and my nuchal scan in 3 or so weeks.
Thx everyone for your good wishes

Hopefully I've updated the list correctly. For the pregnant people, I've just changed mine,George's and Bella's weeks.

teeheelaydee · 01/12/2008 10:44

Morning ladies,

Mibbes Wasn't around to give you any advice although like Mollie I am clueless anyway, but Drs Ei & Kate came up trumps as usual. Anyway hope all going well and keep us posted.

Ei I reckon a boy too for Miblet at both your and Mollie's sexcapades. You girls will just have to get inventive.

Scully So glad all went well scan and cannot believe that you and Georgie are 8 weeks already although it's probably dragged for you. If the nuchal is 3 weeks away you've not got long before you see your little bean again.

Georgie Hope you have survived the weekend and no more little bleeds to freak you out.

Fruity I didn't realise that the PIL were still with you and I don't blame you for being fed up. Glad you've managed to speak to DP, hope you do see some changes and things will definately be easier when you get your home back. I think you have the patience of a saint - I can hardly cope with an evening of DP's Mum or Dad.

Kate I am thinking of you and worried about you. Things will improve I promise.

I am ill again (another new and different pg symptom that I won't go into) and have just decided that I am rubbish at being preganant - that's all I'm saying on the subject as you must all be fed up with me being ill and pathetic - I am boring and irritating myself quite frankly! [frustrated emoction]

FruitynNutty · 01/12/2008 13:17

Afternoon girls,

Had my midwife appointment this morning. I told the midwife I was concerned (again) about the size of my baby. She said I look large for my dates. She measured the bump and said I'm nearly 2 weeks bigger than I should be , Oh lord, I'm in for another biggun aren't I Why do I make these large babies? Means I miss out on the really tiny newborn stage I shouldn't complain because he seems healthy enough.
SHe said I need to cut down on sugary carbs as it will make the baby bigger especially if I want a vaginal birth. I'm now starting to think I should just go for an elective C-section. At least there's no hanging around for 2 weeks, overdue, then having another awful labour then C-section anyway.
Oh I don't know.

I got a text from my friend with the poorly baby yesterday. She said baby's heart stopped beating at the weekend and had to be resuscitated and has had a couple more blue episodes while at hospital . Half way through my appointment there was a fire alarm and I happened to bump into her in the corridor. She was desperately trying to get up to her baby but they wouldn't let her in because of the alarm. I just feel so awful for her. She looked so devastated, I actually thought she was going to tell me the baby had died Couldn't say anything so just hugged her.
They've seen every doctor/specialist at St.Georges - and this is the best hospital in Europe for neo-natal. No one knows what is wrong apart form the paralysed vocal cords. They think it's something else but just don't know what.
Seems so unfair when they ttc for 7 yrs with 5 attempts of IVF. Now this.

Anyway, I'm bringing this thread down again.

So much for avoiding bad food, I'm chowing down on a plate of spag carbonara!
I finally found out my blood type. I'm B+. No idea what that means. Hopefully it's a popular one if I ever need a transfusion!

Teehee Aw, poor you I hope it's not the diarrhea and sickness bug that seems to be going around just lately.

Mibbes Can't wait to get the next Miblet installment!

scully Excellent news re your scan I'm hoping for a nice easy pregnancy for you from now on
