Here we go again . Let the good news flow....

OP posts:
kate2179 · 25/11/2008 19:35

Georgie Fantastic!! Have been lurking to keep an eye out for you. Am really thrilled for you, and gaining a week has to be the best feeling ever
Suppose I should go and start dinner now...

MollieMooma · 25/11/2008 19:41

Right all sorted, ebay have withdrawn my bids and changed my passwords etc on ebay and email, what a nightmare!

Georgie I can see your smile from here! I hurt my knee last Weds when I had a duvet day from work as I was a bit down, I decided to scrub some marks on the living rm carpet but spilt water on the kitchen floor and slipped on it, straight onto my knee (which is dodgy anyway) one trip to A&E and 3 X rays later makes one swollen bruised knee.
Just to catch you up on what happened hun. Went back to work yesterday but walking around on it has made it swell again, should be going on a course to Birmingham Thurs & Friday but can't go now, so will take some leave instead to rest it again, so look out guys I'll be serial posting
Mibbes Hope you are feeling better and have not moved from the sofa as instructed
TeeHee One more sleep, I can't believe how quickly it's gone, I bet you are so excited at seeing your little button? I hope you will post pics for us desperate women so we can coo over them x

Talking of pics, CriCri & Emmsy we could do with some updated pics of your little bundles when you're ready!

MollieMooma · 25/11/2008 19:43

Fruity Also meant to ask if your friend managed to raise all the money she wanted to?

teeheelaydee · 25/11/2008 20:28

Rock and Roll indeed Georgie am so relieved and pleased - there is nothing like seeing that little hb is there? Am like an idiot for you and you've gained a week - 7+4 already! Wow!

Mollie & Mibbes Will you both bloody take it easy - look I know daytime TV is bad but for goodness sake stay on the sofa. Mibbes get someone else to nest for you and Mollie If you don't take it easy it will take ages to heal ! (There - was it all mum like and bossy - I'm practising - maybe I should've gone down the cajouling route?)

Bellaharry Fantastic news - a line is a line but if you are anything like the rest of us you will try a range of tests before you believe it - just go for a good old CBD - worth every penny just the see the word 'pregnant' Kate Anything romantic planned for tomorrow - hoping DH gets you very drunk so that you forget about finding out the flavour of sticky baby!

It's all so lovely and postive on here tonight (for most of us anyway) it's made me feel all . No we are definately not finding out what we are having and ladies, I am resolute - so there! Will still post picture obviously but no scrutinising for any clues.

HappyandEiknowit · 25/11/2008 20:40

evening ladies
georgie lovely news on the HB you have a little fighter there
bellaharry congrats on your BFP
teehee good luck i hope you are not too nervous are you sure you wont find out the flavour??
fruity hope you are ok
sparkly did you get your orchids?
mibbes sorry to hear about your migraine get some rest and drink plenty of water
hello to everyone else
xx ei xx

cricri · 25/11/2008 21:26

Georgie I'm so pleased for you I remember when DH and I went for our first scan and saw Elise when she was a tiny blob with a hb. I had a little cry too. It's great that you've gained a week too. Hope you enjoyed the spag bol
Mibbes Hope you feel better. Forget the nesting - just enjoy the peace and quiet and rest now whilst you can because you certainly aren't going to be able to once baby is here!
Bellaharry Congratulations on your BFP
Teehee Can't wait to see your scan pics tomorrow - will be thinking of you!
Mollie Look forward to lots of posts from you later this week if you're going to be at home then
I've added some more photos of Elise to my MN profile as requested. There are plenty on Facebook too and that's where I'm adding them regularly so do have a look when you get a chance. She's been a good girl today with several naps and less intensive feeding so perhaps a routine of sorts is developing. Georgie I do have the GF book and thought I'd just try what works as you say. Elise seemed to be vaguely following the book today but who knows what tomorrow will bring! HV visit in the morning so she'll be weighed then. She's definitely put on weight since the last time!
Hello to everybody else

mibbes · 25/11/2008 21:50

Georgie am delighted for you , so glad the wee bleed was a minor hiccup. Hurrayyyyy !

Mollie would you believe it that someone has done exactly the same to my ebay account and sold loads of GHDs ! I had a call from a p!ssed off American the other day asking where his GHDs were ! I managed to sort it out by going onto ebay dot com and clicking on Live Help - you get an instant message session and they sort it out quite quickly.

I am listening to orders (you bossy lot !) and resting

kate2179 · 26/11/2008 08:57

Just a quick one to say Good Luck for today to Teehee - Not that you'll need it Lovely that you finally get to feel excited rather than just terrified!

Not much to say here so not going to post properly now. Not feeling great. Just keep thinking 3 years ago today was the happiest day of my life, we had no idea what was waiting for us round the corner. This time last year was truly sh5t, but I comforted myself with the thought that in a year's time I could have a baby, or at least be heavily pg. And now I'm here. And nothing . Sorry to be so miserable, don't want to bring the thread down. Will just lurk for a bit til I feel better, acupuncture tomorrow so hopefully that will help xx

FruitynNutty · 26/11/2008 09:00

Oh my god I'm mortified!
I had a dream last night I almost slept with Gordon Ramsey In fact, I turned him down then I had just changed my mind when my alarm went - Phew

Georgie like I said, I'm so so over the moon that everything's looking good When I've grown out of my mat jeans, you can borrow them haha. We'll have to arrange another wacky warehouse coffee and brownie before the xmas hols begin?
I think we're going to go to the Winter Wonderland event in Wimbledon tomorrow eve. I think it's 5-8pm or something like that. Have you been before? I've no idea if it's worth going.

barristermum · 26/11/2008 09:11

Can I just crash the thread briefly to tell Kate that it is good to see she is on a work avoidance mission too as I am trying to do anything rather than the things I should be doing and as ever mumsnet is the answer!

barristermum · 26/11/2008 09:15

And having now actually read her message rather than simply noted she was on I feel dreadful for being inappropriately cheerful and I should say that good things could be just around the corner and she is deeply loved and MEANT to be a mummy, so it will will will come!

MollieMooma · 26/11/2008 10:31

Kate Don't you dare just lurk my lovely, you tell me off when I don't post when I'm feeling low, please share, but if you don't want to do it on here email plse pretty plse.
TeeHee Sending you more love and luck for your scan. Very impressed with your mother impression and I feel suitably told off!
Fruity Oh my Gordon Ramsey!!!
CriCri Gonna check out FB later so I can see your lovely pics x
Quick wave to everyone else will post properly later

BellaHarry · 26/11/2008 10:38

Morning all!

FruitynNutty · 26/11/2008 11:59

Did you sleep Bella?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 26/11/2008 18:51

TeeHee Hope all went well with the scan. have been thinking of you today. Hope you got some fab pics of the TeeHee Junior. S/he is half cooked now!

Fruity Must be something in the air in SW19/SW20. I keep having weird dreams about Richard Hammond . I did go thru a stage in my younger years of fancying short men . My first love was a guy at Uni called Will who was 5'8" and looked like Michael J Fox. I was in hog heaven!!!! Might take you up on offer of the loan of your mat jeans. Mine normal jeans feel horribly tight
already .

Kate Hey sweetheart. I know it's hard, but try and remember the wonderful things that you and DH have shared over the last 3 years. Yes, you've had to go thru some truely horrible experiences, but I'm sure there's also been some really magical epxeriences too that have bought you closer together. Really hope that you have a wonderful time tonight.

Mollie Ouch. That sounds painful. Hope the knee is on the mend now. No more jumping off the wardrobe for you for a while!!!!

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're having good evenings too. better get Libs into the bath and tackle the Mnt Everest of ironing that is waiting for me........

Parents-in-law arrive tomorrow for 4 days. They are lovely but have this weird thing whereby they won't do anything for themselves. Not even make a cup of tea. They think they are 'trespassing' in my kitchen!!!!!. Have told them 100's of times to make themselves at home. But they just sit on sofa and do NOTHING. ARRRGGHHHH. So will have to wait on them hand and foot all bloody weekend. Wish me luck!

MollieMooma · 26/11/2008 19:05

Georgie Do your out-laws know your news? If so I think you should play the pg lady and lie on the sofa and make them run around like headless chooks for you. If they won't point them in my direction I'll let them know Richard Hammon I think I prefer you're Robbie Williams snog
Sparkly OK here's your subtle hint old one and new one

SparklyPseudonym · 26/11/2008 19:49

Evening ladies,
Have been late home for the last 2 nights so sorry I've not been posting.

Had a text from teehee this pm. Everything fine at scan which is amazing news.

Mollie Thanks for the link. Will pop over when I've finished here. The same happened with my ebay account recently. I wonder if they target us vulnerable MNs....
HTGG Am so pleased for you. How fab that you've had an extra week added on too. Do not wait on PIL. As Mollie says - play the pregnancy card.
Fruity You saucy mare DD is great (apart from waking up at 5 everyday). How are your DSs?
Kate Please don't hide away if you're feeling down. You've been here so many times for me and I want to support you in any way I can. Lots and lots and lots and lots....of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mibbes How many days to go? Anymore signs? Meant to say that DD was 3/5 engaged from 33 weeks and wasn't born until 42 so that means nothing. xxx
Cricri The new photos of Elise make me melt. She's so delicious!! Did you have her weighed today?
Ei I didn't get back until 6 tonight so didn't get to the post office. D is going tomorrow at lunch for me. Thank you so much xxxx
Bellaharry Bloody hell - that was super fast. Congrats.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes xxxx

OP posts:
teeheelaydee · 26/11/2008 20:45

Thanks for all your good wishes and it is lovely to know that you were all thinking of me. As Sparkly said everything looks fine and all in the right place and the right size. The little monkey wouldn't stop wiggling so it took her ages to check the heart and I had to do lots of moving about to try and help but we got there eventually. I still cannot get me head around the idea that this is really going to happen - think I will be in shock when it actually does.

Kate Mollie is right you would be the first to tell the rest of us to share so please no more nonsense about bringing the thread down. Your right about looking to the future. I was only thinking yesterday about how much can change in a year. I still find it hard to accept that this journey has taken so long for me. I just don't think you ever prepare yourself for that, but you will get there - just keep believing. I suppose this is the time of year for reflecting. Sending you lots of love and hope you feel brighter tomorrow.

Georgie I could not be doing with waiting on DP's parents and would have to make him to the lion's share. Sounds like the intrusion excuse is just so they can put their feet up! I guess the girls are a little young to be making cups of tea - shame!

Fruity Oooh what a shame you woke up, now we'll never know if he's any good. - I think there's something quite sexy about Gordon Ramsey, even though he's not good looking iykwim. I think it's the arrogant take contol thing!! Which actually I would probably hate in RL come to think of it. Not so sure about Richard Hammond though Georgie Mibbes how are you feeling today? Bet Sparkly has made you feel good with her 42 week story!! or are you of the mindset that the longer the wait the better.

Cricri Sounds like things are settling down a bit until Elise decides she wants a completely new routine. You seem to be taking it all in your stride though.

Bellaharry Have you tested again or are you going witht he first BFP.

I must go - I can't type as brain fried. Did a bit of painting today and it looks dreadful - I think it's because it's bathroom paint so I got all huffy and gave up! Have to give it another go tomorrow. Anyone would think I am decorating Buckingham Palace the time it's taking - not a teeny shower room!

BellaHarry · 26/11/2008 21:26

mollie I officially hate Ebay and cut ties the other week; I will no longer trade! I know fruity will find it hard to believe that it is possible to function without Ebay!!

teehee I tested again that afternoon still +!

Fruity slept well as it goes I'm kanckered, had a school trip to Wimbldon theatre and tonight year 11 Parents evening! So I'll sleep well tonight too!

Can't believe I'm only 3 1/2 weeks pregnant I never imagined you could know so soon! August seems so far away and the pics of splitting cells look gross...can't wait 'til it looks human!

mibbes · 26/11/2008 22:10

teehee so glad scan went well - hurray !

Kate so sorry you are feeling down hun, please stick around and feel free to offload, that's what we're here for xx.

Mollie I found out today that the ebay hacker has also hacked into my hotmail and changed the password so that they can block all ebay messages - please check the b@stards haven't done the same to you . Partly my own fault for using the same password I suppose - that will teach me . Have finally got account reinstated, what a blimin' nightmare !

No sign of baby - due on 6th, so about 10 days to go. Nothing apart from some pressure down low, arrgghhh am so impatient, there is no way I cope if it is 2 weeks late !!!

FruitynNutty · 27/11/2008 09:08

Morning, just checking in before I take the troop to playgroup - they are drawing me some lovely pictures at the moment
Just realised I've got an anti-natal appointment on Monday morning. Should be interesting with DS and two mindees I'm hoping the mindees will sleep in the buggy as they usually have a nap at that time that would be too easy though wouldn't it, we shall see. I hate going to appointments with the kiddies. People look at me as if I'm a crazy woman with all those children under 4 yrs old. In fact I get those looks all the time anyway. I need to make a sign saying "They're not all mine!!!!"

Teehee So so pleased all went well . I can't believe you didn't find out what the flavour was Am I just really impatient? I think you're having a boy, we need another boy to keep my boy company - PICTURES???????

Bella I found out I was pregnant when I was only 3+5 weeks and it was a very strong line. I even got a positive on a clear blue digital the following day (renowned for being insensitive too)
You know I adore Ebay but then I've never (so far) had any trouble with it. I'm sure it will come and bite me one day.

Sparkly What's waking DD? Poor you You must be knackered. DS's are fine. Big DS is a cheeky ratbag as usual. Favourite word seems to be "poo" at the moment Although I was quite impressed when the 1st thing he said to me this morning was "That is very interesting" Not sure what he meant but that must be the longest word he's ever said.
Little DS seems to be fine. Wriggling away.

I have to say Georgie much as I can't stand Gordon (we're on 1st name terms now ) I would rather have a dream about him than Richard Hammond I'm not really into midgets .
How are you feeling? You really don't need to do any ironing. I can't remember the last time I ironed anything. Get your DH to iron his own shirts then just stick everything else straight in the cupboard The secret's in the hanging

Mibbes I'm keeping my fingers crossed you won't have much longer to wait!

Cricri Elise is getting more and more beautiful every day!

I can't decide whether to give my little girl things that I bought to someone else or keep them for when I have a girl. I've got the cutest pair of tights (I showed you at our meet up I think) and a packet of cutesy little pink vests. I just can't part with them

Right, better be off, they've finished their drawings now

MollieMooma · 27/11/2008 09:25

TeeHee I hope you are going to post some pics of your mini-teehee? So pleased that everything went well
CriCri I checked out FB and Elise is just so darn cute!
Mibbes The b@stards had hacked into my email account and deleted the ebay emails too, so I've changed the password but tempted to get a new email address as well as I feel a bit paranoid now! Shall we start doing a different kind of baby dance for you? One where we shake our booty to get your baby to come out?
Sparkly I didn't get the lie in I teased with you as DH fell off his bike and rang me to tell me all about it at 6.40am!!
He's OK from the fall but not too sure how he'll be when he gets home from waking me at that time
Fruity Good luck for your ante-natal appt on Monday sounds like you're going to need it Why don't keep your girlie stuff for the next one
Well enjoying my day off today, resting my knee but it's killing me looking at all the jobs that need doing round the house. I'm sure DH walks around with blinkers on and earplugs in so he doesn't see all the crap and hear me nagging To be fair though he has looked after me really well
Georgie I really hope you listen to us wise ones and take it easy when the out-laws come x
*Scully How are things with you?
Kate I'm worried
Hello to everyone else

mibbes · 27/11/2008 09:55

Fruity OMG you are so brave taking all of those children out ! I'd be a nervous wreck . Which week appt are you on now ? I hope I don't have long too

Mollie yes please a big booty shake to encourage the miblet to make an appearance . I feel violated having had my accounts hacked into - am in the process of changing all passwords - grrr

Kate where are you missus ?...

cricri she is soo cute - love the photo with her hands behind her head - she looks so chilled out !

FruitynNutty · 27/11/2008 13:47

anyone wanna buy my flat?

Check out the mouldy toy storage in the bathroom and the children's face flannels hanging up in the kitchen

cricri · 27/11/2008 20:21

Evening everybody, thanks for all your lovely comments about Elise. I'm about to upload some more photos on FB, assuming I get time before madam wants feeding again! Sparkly the HV weighed her yesterday and she's put on 600g in 12 days. She's spot on the weight curve and the HV was really pleased with her, said she had no concerns whatsoever
Teehee Great news about your scan, you must be so pleased. I know what you mean about not quite believing you're having a baby - even now I look at Elise and can't quite believe she's mine and certainly when she was inside me I couldn't quite get to grips with the concept of having an actual baby at the end of it.
Mollie Know what you mean about DH and housework - men definitely have blinkers as far as mess is concerned!
Sorry to hear about problems with Ebay too.
Kate Hope you're OK. We're here for you if you need us - you're always so supportive of everybody else so please let us help if you want us to.
Hope everybody else is OK.
