HappyandEiknowit · 19/11/2008 12:01

hi ladies
sparkly i say wait until tomorrow and test with FMU!! im sure you are my 2nd BFP as i found out today one of the girls off another thread i am a regular on is preg and she has been trying for nearly 2 years so she is over the moon i am taking her as my first of the 3 so you will be number 2 who will take the third place?? it wont be me i can tell you AF arrived this morning bang on cue as i was half expecting her yesterday which means either i was a day late/i oved later/ my lp has lengthened a bit so who knows but either way...CD1 for me today onwards and upwards to cycle 13 ah well i will be BDing my DHs brains out this cycle as my DD asked last night for a brother for christmas i said il see what i can do
hello to everyone else
xx ei xx

SparklyPseudonym · 19/11/2008 12:12

Ei Gutted that AF got you - still nothing here but I hope she gets on a move on so we can get cracking again. I just saw the news about bucky - how fantastic!!

OP posts:
mibbes · 19/11/2008 12:58

NO no ladies am still here - just been shopping for final hospital bag bits . I haven't had any BH or anything else to suggest baby is on the way out (except this flipping pressure and pain down low !)

Kate LOL at your chart posting ! That may be your first 'baby brain' episode...

Ei gutted TEW got you - LOL at BDing DH's brain s out though . Hope you are feeling ok, you sound quite chirpy xx

Sparkly look forward to hearing result of tomorrow's test...

OMG I was about to go and check on Bucky - how fabulous !

kate2179 · 19/11/2008 13:12

Ei so sorry TEW arrived. She has no manners You sound like you're doing ok, are you really? You know you can vent any way you need to here. When is your next consultant's appt? sending hugs, chocolate and lots of WINE (Or your alcohol of choice )

Sparkly sounds like a good plan to wait til Friday, so much easier said than done though isn't it? I know what you mean about p*ssing away money. I'm pretty sure I saw a TV ad the other say saying Boots are doing BOGOF on First Response tests if you're interested? I'll check their website in a min. Went to Asda this morning, I hovvered dangerously close to their own brand tests but I didn't give in

No idea what I'm doing wrong on FF, so sorry. I'm not normally such a technical dullard. Think I'll just do a FB message with my login details and send it to Sparkly Fruity Ei and Mibbes - think you ladies are the charters among us? Totally up to you if you can be bothered want to have a peek

Temp still high today - 37.05 Though I'm (trying) not to read anything into that as I think it would still be high at this stage regardless of whether I've conceived or not. Looking at previous months I think the one which should fall if AF is on her way is Saturday's. So 3 more sleeps til I know. God I'm impatient! will obv be gutted if af does show up, but not getting my hopes up either. Promise.

We have a decorator here again this week. Why is it that I find it IMPOSSIBLE to get anything done with someone else here? Think it's partly cos the dogs are into everything he's doing and partly cos he's doing bits and pieces in the kitchen, utility room, downstairs loo, landing AND bathroom, so all the crap our things from those roooms are currently in the dining room where I normally work.... Will all be worth it in the end though.

Lola is on ebay if any of you are interested? I had some lilies in the sitting room the other day and now they're in the green sack for the garden rubbish in the garden. It seems the littel madam got into the sack this morning and now she is COVERED in lily pollen!! Her face, ears, front legs and her feet are all BRIGHT YELLOW!! Little hell bat. If anyone's got any ideas how to get it off I'd be very grateful!

mibbes · 19/11/2008 13:16

Kate get the details posted and I'll have a peek , I love a good bit of chart analysis . Oh dear anughyty lola ! I had Lily pollen on my windowsil the other week and could only get iot removed with bleach - I don't think I'd recommend it for a dog though !

SparklyPseudonym · 19/11/2008 14:12

Have just come back from meeting a friend for lunch. I bunked off uni because I had a (slightly) sore ear. I've done lots of work though so I'm going to have a relaxing afternoon before taking DD to gym.
Mibbes I don't think you'll be waiting much longer - I never had that pressure..prob why I was induced. I'm so excited for you. Have you bought witchhazel? That saved my life after delivery. Oh, and arnica.
Kate I just checked my FB message and laughed so much at your p/w. Hilarious!! Am off to peek at your chart now.

AND, when did I say I was going to test on friday? Those mind games won't wash with me .
I just went to knicker check and still have quite a lot of CM - how odd?! Sorry for TMI.

OP posts:
cricri · 19/11/2008 18:00

Sorry, not been on for a couple of days as Elise has been keeping me busy with her constant feeding demands See what awaits you Mibbes?! Today has been a better day - she slept in her Amby nest for a couple of hours this morning and this afternoon I took her for a walk in the pram with my Mum and she had a feed when we got back and she's been asleep since about 4pm so we're slowly but surely getting bigger breaks during feeds. She's starting to stir again now...
Mibbes I had that pressure you describe. No BH or anything else to speak of until I had a slight leak of my waters the day before I went into labour. I had to go along to the hospital for monitoring the next day and that's when I was told I was 4cm dilated and I hadn't felt a thing So things could be happening and you're just not feeling it yet. Fingers crossed for you!
Ei Sorry TEW got you I've just been reading the posts over the past couple of days and was really hoping this was it for you.
Sparkly Hope your ear is better soon. Fingers crossed you just tested too early. You're being very restrained I have to say!Kate Fingers crossed for you too - remember the French priest's prediction
Fruity Good to "see" you
Georgie Sorry you're feeling nauseous but it's a good symptom! PMA lady - everything is going to be fine!
Scully Waiting as long as you can bear for your scan sounds like a good plan. I had one at 7+3 and saw a hb easily so by 8 weeks you should have no problems.
Teehee Glad you're feeling better. It's lovely when you first feel movements - so reassuring! Do tell us what a salt pig is though
Mollie Hope you're OK.
Emmsy Good to see you Glad everything is OK. My HV told me today milk spots are totally normal. Elise has a few on her neck too. Can't believe Amy is 6 weeks old already!

MollieMooma · 19/11/2008 18:16

EI So sorry this wasn't your month hun
Sparkly Hope your not cracking under the pressure of not testing Tut tut for skiving!
TeeHee Glad to hear your a little bit better, hope you recover fully soon
Georgie How's the house building?
CriCri Sounds like you are getting on rather well with your little one and taking it all in your stride
Mibbes You are naughty getting us all excited like that
Scully Roll on the 1st December, can't come quick enough
Kate Lovely temperatures I am secretly getting excited for you
Fruity & Emmsy hope all is well with you both, Fruity Will look forward to "meeting" your friend

Sorry I've been AWOL, had a busy weekend and then for some unknown reason I had a particularly bad couple of days, don't want to bore you with the details, I took today off work (skiving like Sparkly) we are allowed to have last minute duvet days Unfortunately I decided to clean some marks on our living room carpet and when walking back into the kitchen I spilt some water and went arse over tit! After lying on the floor for half an hr soaking wet I called my sister and she took me to A&E I landed on my knee which I have problems with anyway. I had some x-rays as they thought I'd broken my kneecap but fortnately for once good luck and I hadn't! But I am very swollen and unable to walk very far and in quite a bit of pain Still it's stopped me feeling so miserable about other things
I will probably be off work for a couple of days so I promise to post regularly

mibbes · 19/11/2008 18:46

OMG Mollie poor you missus , I reckon lots of chocolate and cheesey TV/Movies are the order of the day

cricri how long did you have the pressure for before you had the leak ? Ooh how scary/exciting ?

Sparkly CM sounds promising... look forward to Friday

SparklyPseudonym · 19/11/2008 19:16

Still no AF here - no doubt she'll turn up just as I get back to school on Monday morning...

Mibbes [sticks tounge out]
Mollie You poor thing . That sounds so painful. Please take it easy. Sending you lots and lots of love.
Cricri Glad you've had a better day today. Have been thinking of you.

HappyandEiknowit · 19/11/2008 19:44

kate i think this might work for your chart i have added your most recent one to your homepage if thats ok so it should work now i will delete your message with your login details on it so you dont have to worry aswell
i havent read any of the recent messages but i will do in a sec lol
xx ei xx

FruitynNutty · 19/11/2008 19:49

ahhhhhh, my internet is back! I've been cold turkey all day as DP took laptop with him to work

So, Kate Very weird because I didn't even need to go through your username and password to get to your chart. Your chart came up automatically when I typed in the fertility friend website, very very strange
Well, your temp is certainly high and you're 10dpo today. I'll keep my eye out. What time do you do your temp? I'll be desperately checking your chart

Same goes for you Sparkly Are you charting on FF? Can you link your chart? Temp looking good lovely lady

Bloody hell Molls you ok now? that'll teach you for skiving
there you go A little pressie for your short stay in hospital

Cricri Elise is a good girl for keeping you on your toes So when's the next bubba planned for? You know you're at your most fertile soon after birth

Ei I'm so sorry Mother Nature is being a complete arse to you lately

Georgie and Scully How are you both feeling? symptoms kicked in yet?

Well, I've just completed a long drawn out form for claiming a grant from Merton council childcare department. Apparently they've been allocated 2.5 million buckaroonies to distribute amongst all the childcare in Merton. I can claim anything from £2,500-£150,000!!!!!

Well I haven't been too greedy but I have had to list all the things I will be spending the money on. It's been great fun, just looking through the internet looking for the most expensive computers/cameras/kids toys/tumble dryer etc.... You name it, I've listed it Who knows how much I'll get but I figured the more I put down, the more I'll get.
I might not get anything but I'm assuming the council are trying to get rid of the money before the end of the tax year so they can ask for more next year.
Fingers crossed! It'll be perfect timing before xmas too

SparklyPseudonym · 19/11/2008 20:31

Have just spent some time proof reading my first written assignment of the year - am scared about submitting it...it all feels so final - arggghhh!!
Just sent DP out to get a chinese for dinner. I'm a bit mean given that he only came in 30 mins a go. Ah well.

Fruits Linked below....Good luck on getting a grant!! When will you find out?

My chart is looking a bit pathetic without knowing when I ovulated

OP posts:
kate2179 · 19/11/2008 21:04

Fruity if you get £150,000 please can we have some help you spend it? Slightly concerned that my FF page came up for you automatically... not very though! I temp at 7am, not sure when I'll post it tom, cos I'm in court in the morning. (You can pretty much guarantee I'll do it as soon as I get back )

Sparkly I could have sworn your message from earlier said you were going to test again on Friday... But I've just checked and it says next week... Have you found some secret way to go back and edit your messages after you've posted them you naughty girl? Hats off to you waiting another week. That's not will power, that's something else. (I'll give you til Sunday ) Btw, FF set my password for me after I forgot mine about a million times...

Currently sat in the kitchen, Lola (now white again thankfully) is asleep in her bed on the floor, having quite a noisy dream!!Too cute! I think she's chasing something - probably Nemo, poor bugger.

Mollie you poor lady I cannot even imagine how much pain you must have been in/still be in. And I think knees are meant to be particularly painful aren't they? Am worried about you lovely. You don't have to tell us how you've been feeling lately if you don't want to, of course not, but please remember we're all here for you any time. Please also remember the number of me-me-me posts I have done since hijacking joining this lovely thread, and I haven't been kicked off. Yet! Seriously though, you won't "bore us with the details" - what are friends for?!? Love ya! Glad to hear that the upside of being off work is having the time to post more regularly though, it will be lovely to see more of you Has it really stopped you from being miserable about other things though?

Oi! Teehee! Salt pig?!?!?!

Lovely to hear from you Cricri, gad you had a better day today Please give your beautiful little girl a big kiss from me. (Bug has officially gone now, don't worry )I am slightly to say that the priest's prediction has popped into my head once or twice... Time will tell

Mibbes the thought of bleach did cross my mind But luckily it seems to have worn off by itself.
I kicked her out in the garden for ages this morning as I didn't want yellow all over my house. She had a strop and went digging. Got covered in mud so she was brown and yellow. Looked like a bumble bee.

Ei thank you for tweaking my home page for me. When are you coming back for a chat then? Or am I about to cross posts with you...? We'll see!

kate2179 · 19/11/2008 21:09

Sparkly your chart has even fewer temps on it than mine! (At least you managed to post yours by yourself though ) I can't understand why FF hasn't told us both when we ov'd. Maybe we shoudl complain
Enjoy your chinese. What have you ordered? I had a total craving for Crispy Duck on saturday but naughty M&S had sold out... Well done on your assingnment Now stop re-reading it and just get rid of it!

kate2179 · 20/11/2008 08:36

Done it fruity! 37.04 at 6.05am, which I kind of count as a rise as yesterday it was 37.05 at 7am iyswim... must go to work...

FruitynNutty · 20/11/2008 09:16

Morning

Kate Chart still very promising I think your chart came up automatically because yours was the last chart I looked at and before Ei tweaked it for you. I can't get into your personal FF
It would be lovely to get £150,000 but I think that's for major building works which need planning permission etc ( I think mainly for larger settings like nurseries. I won't be going for that much but my modest list has come in at just under £6,000
Teehee Why on earth does your DP want a salt pig? Very strange but easily pleased man you have there
Sparkly I'll need to see a few more temps I think before I can make judgement. Especially as, like you say, you have no idea when you ov'd. Hope you're ok.

Just about to put up the latest pic of my mahoosive tummy on my profile

SparklyPseudonym · 20/11/2008 09:36

Morning ladies,
I've only just got up!! DD slept from 7 last night until 9 this morning - it's fantastic!!
Am going to take her to the park now and then head to uni for a lecture at 1.
Temp was 36.88 this morning (which is still high for me) but is on a steady drop. Had some AF pains this morning so think TEW will arrive tomorrow - 35 days is the longest cycle I've ever had!! Know I'm def not pregnant as we only bd'd during the week when I would normally ovulate and not after that..poor DP .
Kate Still looking good for you lady. Will keep my fingers crossed. I ordered some rice and duck last night and DP had chow mein.
Fruity Where's this piccy then?

OP posts:
MollieMooma · 20/11/2008 09:48

Morning girls
Good job we dont' have a web cam, I look like I have suitcases under my eyes, not getting much sleep at the mo

Sparkly Well done on getting your assignment finished, like Kate said get it handed in quick then you can relax a little. One more sleep until you test again
Fruity Good luck with trying to get money out of a council, are they as tight as ours? They probably want to keep that money for their christmas party Thank you for my present
TeeHee Hope you feel better soon my lovely
Mibbes Come on!!!!!
Kate Sounds like Lola is giving you a right run around Our white cat did the same thing when she was little, it wore off after a few days or so but she looked like she'd rolled in a bad curry! The reason I didn't want to post when feeling down this time is it's just the same old shit and it's boring the pants off me, so you lot must be really fed up. I just want to feel "normal" again, seem to be having problems controlling my emotions AGAIN. I was making a cup of tea Monday morning before work and all of a sudden the horrible thought that I should have a 3 mth baby or be 5 mths or 3 mths pg popped into my head and of course I have none of these, tried not to let it get on top of me but by the time I'd been at work an hr I was in tears. What's all that about???? So fed up with not being able to control my tears, happened again tuesday so that's why I took yesterday off. So wish I hadn't now!!!! I presumed it was probably hormone related as AF due Sunday, but spotting started today which means I have a shortened cycle and my LP was only 7/8 days Now I'm worrying about that! Hoping it's just a blip good job I'm TNTC at the moment
So that's my sad story in a nutshell, I'm very lucky that I have a friend coming round with homemade soup for lunch, might have to hurt my knee more often

kate2179 · 20/11/2008 13:28

Mollie I wish you didn't have to go through all this What you describe is completely normal. It's totally natural for you to still be grieving for your lost LOs. I'm trying hard not to sound cliched, but the grieving process really is a "process", you have to go through it stage by stage, and how long each stage lasts is different for everyone. Unfortunatley even if you think you've skipped a stage the chances are it will come back and bite you on the bum at some point, so I do think there is something positive about the fact that you are dealing with all this now. I also think it's really important not to ttc while you feel this way, but that's just my opinion, I know you are planning on waiting until the new year anyway. Could you go back to your doctor and ask if there's any possibility of more counselling? Or maybe there are some other avenues you can explore (without it costing thousands). I think others have had counselling through various charity organisations, do you want me to see if I can get the details for you? It's so sht. I wish there was some way I could magically make things all right for you, but you will get there. I know what you mean about being bored with feeling that way, I kind of felt as though if I knew how long the tunnel was at least I'd have some idea of how far I still had to go, but sadly it doesn't work like that. We will not get bored with hearing how you are feeling, as I said yesterday, what are friends for? I hope you enjoy your lunch, sounds like good medicine to me! And btw, it's def a good thing we don't have a webcam if Fruity* is going to start wondering around half naked, grafitti-ing herself!

Great pic though Fruity - I want one!!

Sparkly glad DD gave you a lie in It does look like your temps are decreasing, but I guess we'll both just have to wait and see [impatient emoticon]How long was your first cycle post mc? That can definitely muck things up for a while. I think my first cycle after my first mc was about 43 days, then when Thomas was conceived the following month I didn't even ov til day 25! Hope your next cycle is back on track, preferably in about 9 months' time!

FruitynNutty · 20/11/2008 13:35

Half naked indeed Note my still very flat chest though! Why can't I just have great big pendulous breasts like everyone else when pregnant? I've only gone up one size yet the rest of my body seems to have doubled in size . Something not right there
