Here we are on another new thread! Let's hope it's a lucky one

Coat sounds fab TINKS - a good price too .

GRUFF, that's sad about sooty . I think Big Cat has also taken the same way out sadly. Even though he was only 12 we'd just taken him to the vet for blood tests as he'd stopped eating and was a bag of bones, and there was some issue with his liver function from the tests

Glask, so glad you're starting to feel a bit better at long last. Lol at Dexy's midnight runners - was the first record I bought!

HEEBS, hello cycle buddy, although as you say we are 'out' re: ovulation. Do you have a feel for when you will ovulate? I must admot to taking a sharp intake in breath when reading about your white sofas...make the most of them pre-dcs!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 12:40

Awww Diege it is very sad about Big Cat, how are the girls taking it? Good symptom spotting though, agree it is very useful, especially after a MC, to note down every symptom.

Heebee, leather is very easy to keep clean though, mine are brown leather, they started as white as well! (Disclaimer: they weren't really white!) That shop was very good, only ordered on Tuesday, they were here yesterday, or they would have been...

Tink coat sounds like a great bargain! Must admit, that is the only downside to having boys, there are never any nice boy clothes bargains, not unless you actually like skull and crossbones on your newborn! Girls clothes are very easy though.

Glask, I am glad you remember the dungaree conversation, I was sure it was on this thread! Did you get some? Glad the sickness is better

Gruff, what car did you get? Hope your migraine eases soon, they are not fun at the best of times, let alone while pregnant.

I have a question/mini rant! The shop I ordered all the Zanzibar stuff from, some of it was out of stock and she emailed to say that she'd ship what they had in and the rest of the order would follow on in the next week or so. Fine, no problem. But when the first lot arrived yesterday, there was a invoice as you'd expect, except it has my full card details printed on it, card no. expire date, even the secure code thing on the back of the card, usually they'd print it off as a load of stars and the last few digits of the number wouldn't they? Am I right to be feeling a bit annoyed that the letter could have fallen off the box (was only stuck on the outside of the box with selotape) anyone could have had it. But problem is, if I make a fuss, firstly the shop has all my details and could use them, and/or they might not deliver the rest of the order.

do I dare start a thread on this?

Diege · 02/10/2008 12:48

Nat, I think you are perfectly within your rights to feel mightily pissed off about the shop. You're right, those details shouldn't be on an invoice, only the last few digits of your card number, the rest displayed as *. Certainly no security code/expiry date . I've just had my new card delivered today after last week's scam on my card, and the bank reassured me that without a security number no-one can do much. Might be worth started a thread in aibu? Definitely worth a phone call I'd say.
Oh and re: cat the dds haven't even mentioned him yet, which is very strange Mon-thurs though they are out of the house at 7.30ish and back 6.30ish, so may not have twigged yet as he is often out at those times. We are going to say he's gone for a wander as our other cat did, and take it from there.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 12:52

I was brave and did the thread, in AIBU! I just don't know what to do about it, don't want them messing the rest of the order about, but then, I don't really want them sending out the rest of the stuff, with a further invoice, with the card details printed out again!

Think I need to spend some time on an email and word it very carefully!

Poor DD's, I hope they take it OK once they're over the shock.

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 02/10/2008 12:53

nat - i luv skull and cross bones luckily
i would definetly phone them up about lack of card security on paperwork that isnt very good
checked on website of place we are having scan as we were only having mini one said sexing no
anyway have phoned them up would have to pay an extra £25 to find out not too bad i guess, glad i checked

Diege · 02/10/2008 13:08

TINK, I think we are all glad you checked .
Will have a peek at your thread Nat. A wisely-worded e-mail would be good

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 13:13

Yes deffo good job you checked Tink

Playingthe9monthwait · 02/10/2008 13:57

Afternoon all,

Really been neglecting you guys recently!

Nice to come back after a few weeks and still see everyone chatting away like mad!

Work is so busy at the moment that I dont really have the time to MN so I don't think I'll be on that much but I must make more of an effort to keep in touch with you all!

Not really had time to catch up on the thread just read the last few posts.

Nat - sounds to me like they put the wrong copy in your parcel. They probably have one for yourselfs (a merchant copy) with all your details and have a customer copy with the *'s on. I would say they have been mixed up.

Deige - any news on your cat? So hard when you don't know where they are and what (if anything) is wrong.

Everyone else - so nice to "see" you all again

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:09

Hello!

We're currently homeless! Have packed up and handed keys in on our place but keys not yet a available on the new place! Am sitting in the estate agents waiting!
Fortunately sickness not so bad today which is a big help -was really struggling yesterday. Glaskham - must have been the day for it!

Playing - good to hear from you. How many weeks are you now?

NJ - that is not good with your full details on the invoice. You should definitely say something!

Diege - at cat. There's still a chance he will turn up but must be v upsetting.

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:14

Ses, I am impressed, MN'ing on moving day Hope the keys are free soon, the waiting to pick them up is awful!

Playing! Hello stranger Hope you are well?

I sent the following email:

Hi xxxxx,

I received some of the items yesterday, they are lovely thank you, however I do have a small problem. On the invoice you sent (attached to the outside of the box) my credit card details, including credit card number, expiry dates, even the security code on the back of the card, were printed out clearly for anyone to see. Obviously these are all of the details anyone would need to purchase anything they liked and charge it to my card.

Could you possibly ensure that any further invoices/contact are free from my confidential details, I would just hate for it to get into the wrong hands.

Kind regards

Didn't want to make it a nasty email, so tried to keep it friendly and light hearted. Hopefully it won't happen again. I am going to be checking my bank every five minutes now for the next month!

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 02/10/2008 14:21

ses hope you get keys soon
nat good email
nice 2 hear from u playing

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:24

Sounds v well worded NJ!

DH is sat outside new place with removal lorry and I'm in estate agents MNing on my phone waiting for keys and confirmation of completion from solicitors!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:27

Her reply:

Hi Natalie

Sorry, your printed receipt should have had the relevant details masked. I will look into this end to ensure this does not happen again.

Regards

not exactly overly apologetic, but at least it shouldn't happen again, which is my main concern!

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 02/10/2008 14:29

glad you got a good and quick response.
when are you painting then nat?
i luv painting i painted all of our bedroom and all of dds

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:30

Sounds like someone of v few words! At least she said sorry and that they would try and ensure it didn't happen again...

Do you get the impression I'm sitting here bored??!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:33

When? Erm... DH is on call this weekend, if it's quiet and we can get the room emptied out (still have DS2's old baby stuff in there) then we'll paint this weekend, if he is out too much then will probably be weekend after I want to get it done and finished in plenty of time for the furniture to come.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:34

LOL Ses, poor you, can you not go for coffee sparkling water or something while you wait?

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:37

Already been to Costa for a hot chocolate and had quick look round shops! I'm ok - nice to have a sit down actually before the mad unpacking starts! Guess I should make the most of it!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:40

Very true, the un-packing is worse than the packing IMO! Having said that there is something quite satisfying about getting the last thing out of a box!

LOL We still have stuff in boxes (boxes are in the loft) from when we moved here, 5 years ago

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:47

I think the unpacking is more time consuming as it's easy to try and make sure everything is perfectly clean and in the exact right place before it goes away! V easy to waste time in pursuit of perfection!

Hope your painting plans work out and that DH doesn't get called out too much!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 14:51

Yep, and then you'll put something in a place, and then decide that actually it looks better somewhere else, it's not too bad when it is a vase or a photo or something, but when it is sofas and triple wardrobes it's a different story!

I suppose I had better get ready to go and pick DS1 up, t'is a good job the school is only across the road!

SesHasapinkline · 02/10/2008 14:56

V handy!

Well I'm hoping to have keys in the next 15 mins so will update you either later or tomorrow once we're in!

Tink, I love the rainforest one, it's a bargain as well! Mind they're all nice

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 02/10/2008 15:17

tink- i prefer the middle one!!

just been out for lunch with DH and the kids to our local pub... ordered loads but i was so full after my starter i hardly managed anything else!! everything is getting cramped up inside me and i can't eat like i normally can!!

anyway NJ- agree it was wrong of your details to be on that invoice, glad you go an apology fast, may be only a few words but at least its brought it to their attention!! And no i haven't yet got any maternity dungaree's- hope to get some after my 20 week scan as i'll be almost full size by then (as in i have tons more growing to do yet)

I got my scan date through but i'm not so happy... its the 22nd oct!!! thats a whole 20 days away!!!!! i'll be over 14wks by then but on the other hand only 20 days till i see my little baby!!
