Here we are on another new thread! Let's hope it's a lucky one

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 01/10/2008 13:36

oh wow bedding 2

it is very exciting getting things in the post
not me with dungarees

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/10/2008 13:44

It was quite funny actually Tink, I'd just written "Not everything has been delivered" and was going to go on to say: I am waiting on the bedding, can't wait to see it in RL, and then the door bell went and it was here! LOL

Oh door bell, anyone pick up on that? We bought a new one a couple of weeks ago - it works!! No more waiting for every car coming down the street!

I think, apart from a few small bits, everything else I am waitng on is on a much longer delivery lead time, the furniture for instance will be next month, the buggy will probably be by the end of this month, etc. etc.

Will have to have a good sort through of what I've ordered from where actually, else I'll lose track of what's due when.

The postman left a card this morning for something that needed a signature, no idea what that is! So will need to go and get it tomorrow. I thought ordering it al was fun, recieving it is much better!!

Can you tell I'm excited?! LOL Haven't stopped typing!

Diege · 01/10/2008 13:54

Ooh Nat your excitement is infectious Could you ring up/book online a redelivery slot to save you having to collect mystery item tomorrow?
Oh and re: dungarees was that TINK talking about blue dungarees for boy?
2BG - echo waht others have said spotting at 6 weeks extremely common. I had what you had with dd1 - just a smudge of pinkish brownn that disappeared the next day and never came back again. Hope GP can put your mind at rest .
HEEBS - I'll try the grapefruit juice I think! Yes, have been using the pre-seed (on 'fertile' days from opk at least) so may have done the same think as EWM. Just thinking, maybe my body isn't producing EWM because it's not 'ready' yet after MC? Will try grapefruit juice for next week. Also, have been thinking that all this goffing may well have effected what sort of 'secretions' (urghh) I see anyway?
TINKS - hope you're not too tired after difficult night. Is it Friday or Monday you have your scan?
Right, best get some work done. I had forgotten how tiring standing up and talking for 2 hours was, plus difficult group of 70 plus to manage!!!

Diege · 01/10/2008 13:56

Meant will try grapefruit jucie for next month, not week!! ( I need some time off - my fanjo can't take it!) ]

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/10/2008 14:10

If I'd have found the card before 1 o'clock I could have rang and had it re-delivered tomorrow, but the PO shuts at 1 (small town cowboys! ) so if I rang tomorrow they wouldn't re-deliver it till Friday and I can't wait that long!

Have heard very good things on the grapefruit front, also a tip: EWCM sinks in water, DH's left overs balls up and floats.

And don't forget, wet and slippery CM is as good as EWCM, it all does it's job!

Tink did say about blue dungarees for a boy, but someone ages ago was on about buying maternity dungarees when they got to the stage of needing maternity. It might have been Kay actually... or LB maybe... can't remember!

SesHasapinkline · 01/10/2008 14:56

woah! So much shopping!
If anyone wants to share in the joy of boxes, feel free to pop round! Still so much to pack and I'm having problems as the more packing I do, the more up and down movements and the more sick and light headed I feel!

Glaskham - I think you're definitely due a dose if medicine.

2BGAAB - sounds ok but hope GP is understanding.

OP posts:
istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 01/10/2008 15:49

the scan is sat diege u were close
cant stop thinking about it 24/7. it is so much more different with 2nd one as i already have dd think about what gender i might be carrying more.
if i go by old wives tales it would be a boy :-

carrying low and all out the front
when i put necklace above bump swings in circles
bump is basketball shape
i am feeling tired now definetly an early night tonite and pray that she doesnt wake up again tonite or @ least if she does she goes back to bed.
think i am getting a cold feels like i have dust in my nose keep sneezing and blowing
i am waiting for kitten pics to go above cot and dds x2 cotbed sheets.
r you going to uses sleeping bags nj?
i love them have loads that i used with dd

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/10/2008 16:21

Ses, hope you aren't over doing it with the packing, make sure you rest as much as poss. and it's nothing to do with baby as such, just that your tummy muscles will be relaxing and you will find it very easy to pull them. Listen to me, I am a doctor

Tink, no not using sleeping bags, the baby will be in with us for at least 6 months, and then when he goes in his room, with it only being a small room it stays very warm. A sleeping bag would just keep him even hotter, dangerously so. In fact that is the biggest problem we've had putting DS2 in with DS1, DS2 is used to having no blanket or anything over him, where as now he's in a bigger room, he is feeling the cold because he won't keep a blanket on!

SesHasapinkline · 01/10/2008 16:48

Thanks NJ / Doctor Nat
Just done another 2 boxes but have also texted DH toaks sure he knows there's still a lot to do when he gets home
We had hoped to get the removal company to do the packing but when we phoned them to confirm the date they tried to add another £120 for only 7 days notice and another £180 as they'd have to use agency staff! We gave up and went to another company for just removals!

evening all.......

TBG I hope all went well at the Dr and the bleeding is nothing to worry about.

NJ I am of your shopping.

Glask sorry you are unwell it is the pits isn't it.

Deige I dont like you working, far to little time for us now .

Tink so excited re your scan I have my 20 week one next week. Not going to find out the sex though!!

Ses leave the rest for dh I say.....

Hi to everyone else!!!

LaTourEiffel · 01/10/2008 21:17

Evening all, 2bg, I hope no news is good news (sending hugs as I'm sure it must have been a worrying day for you).

NJ - I can't imagine you with all your boxes - must have been like Christmas! Bet DS enjoyed helping you.

Ses, hope your DH the packing is moving on a bit and you're nearly done.

Been out for another run tonight and it went really well - I'm massively overweight so pleasantly surprised at how well I'm doing and finding it very satisfying. Dog's a bit knackered though .

DH is cooking dinner tonight - chicken fajita's which I'm really looking forward to now

Next run should be on Friday and then the PIL are visiting this weekend so hoping to get out whilst they are here to entertain DH DS.

Jealous of all the shopping and scans etc. Hope its my turn soon - only CD3 so if my cycles are just as long now as they were before MC, then OV'ing is a way off yet. Feel like a bit of a beginner to say the least!

GYo · 02/10/2008 03:17

Ahhaaaa

I've worked out who LaTour is!!!

Great to have you hear LaTour.

Glad to hear you are on CD3 and the running sounds good too!

Tink- if I dont get on again good luck with the 3d scan! Cant wait to hear what sex it is! Feels like we've been waiting for ages!

Hi to everyone else, sorry I've not caught up properly. Will be back online properly next week!

Bye for now.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 07:40

Morning

Good luck today Ses, hope it goes smoothly

LB, is DD better now?

LaTour, you make me feel tired just reading about your running! Good on you though, especially still going in this bloody awful weather, that would be where I retreated to sitting in front of the fire with the galaxy at the ready, with thoughts of 'Oh I'll go tomorrow....' every day!

Having said that about the weather, it isn't actually raining yet, if it stays dry-ish, I will pop into town to get this parcel, and am going to get the paint for the baby's room Not sure which colour to pick up on, the bedding is all earthy colours like in the pictures, but there is every colour you could think of in it. Think I might stick to some of the creams though because the furniture is quite large, and quite dark for a small room... might do a light green actually... sorry am thinking out loud!

Spose I'd better go and get showered! xxx

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 07:42

Argh, meant to say, it's good to hear from our trans-atlantic MNer!

Right, shower.....

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 02/10/2008 08:59

morning

thanks gyo it feels like i have been waiting for ages for 3-d scan as i booked it so long ago 2 days and counting
good luck with move ses not too much stressing
we are off into town is dry here 2 so far.
dh broke one of his work shoe laces so thrilling purchase not.
might get dd a coat

Diege · 02/10/2008 09:43

Morning . TINKS, go for the coat - shoe laces do not a shopping trip make .
Hi Nat - go and get your parcel, we need to know what's in it . I think a pale green or something like a very pale apricot or barley white would be good for the room. See what you mean about creams, but maybe you need a bit of contrast to stop the furniture disappearing into the walls iyswim? Very exiciting - can't wait till it's my turn!
Good to hear from you GYO . Latour, you have made me feel tired too with all this running talk I am still sticking to the videos for now, and am pleased to this morning finally to have crept into the stone I want to be in . And my tummy is flat now [boast] - cat anxiety is a good diet .
Must get a lecture written today - am determined not to spread it over 4 days like last week!

Heebeejeebee · 02/10/2008 10:03

Morning all!

NJ - my entire house is a symphony in white (dark wooden floors downstairs and beige carpet upstairs) but it can make a room look cold, so maybe a feature wall in green/light blue etc?

I admire anyone who runs outside - I go to the gym a lot (one at work, so minimum effort involved) but I loathe running. I always set off at a sprint and wonder why I barely make it to the end of the road without collapsing...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/10/2008 10:33

Yum!

Diege, take it Big Cat's still missing? Still don't give up hope yet, stranger things have happened (my sister's cat returned after 6 months travelling!!)

Tink, deffo go for the coat, it's not worth a trip to town for laces, you can get them at Tesco!

Heebee, am of your white house - t'is my dream! Wouldn't dare, we managed a creamy colour in the hallway, but there is a line of DS1's handprints going up the wall next the stairs....

So, the parcel, I am so pleased with it, though you will all read this looking like . It is this and this both to go on the bookcase, the elephant is nice but nothing special TBH, but the 'animals in a box' thing is absolutely stunning, the detail in the carvings, and the painting, they are beautiful

And I went for a light pale green on the walls and a creamy-browny colour for the skirtings, never used anything except white or very bright colours (in the boy's room) on the woodwork, if it looks like dirty white when we put it on, will put it back to white. I am a bit of Roy Cropper though, I actually took one of the smaller bits of the Zanzibar stuff to town with me so I could check the colours Must have looked a right bloody plonker!

Also got the minstrels () got DS2 a ITNG hat, gloves and scarf set (which he is running around in the living room wearing!) and I got a small suitcase on wheels thingy to use for the hospital Tip: NEVER attempt to carry a suitcase while pushing a pushchair that is loaded with paint pots...

Diege · 02/10/2008 10:47

Nat, I am also a Roy Cropper type and very indecisive when faced with a chocie of purchases. Taking a sample of the Zanzibar into town was a GOOD THING .I'm sure the pale green will look gorgeous - a grass- like backdrop . Your parcel bits are perfect too - you have a veritable show room there!
Yep no sign of Big Cat. Very much thinking the worst now. Odd to be at home today without him on his beanbag, though a little less tearful than yesterday. We've done all we can do, so have to pick myself up a bit.
Morning HEEBS! of your gym-going - I used to be there morning and night before dds - very sad. Even went on boxing day when me and fellow sad sacks asked the gym manager to open up for us . Tis a distant memeory now, though do miss the social side of it all - not the same with a dvd!
I am now going to indulge you with my ttc symptoms. Very little chance of it having worked this month I think, but still useful to get them down if only to compare with next month. So, cd18, boobs seem sore, and slight period-cramps. Have had this for a few days now, so will keep you informed!

Heebeejeebee · 02/10/2008 11:18

Hmmm - pushchair, paint cans and a suitcase does sound somewhat like a recipe for disaster...

White house is lovely - you can tell we don't have children yet, can't you? Did I mention our sofa/dining chairs are white leather??!

The animals in a box are gorgous!!!! I'll have to investigate this site for pressies for niece/nephew and small army of godchildren...

Heebeejeebee · 02/10/2008 11:19

Meant to say, Diege, I caught myself symptom spotting a couple of days ago (also on day 18 today) then remember I hadn't ovulated yet!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 02/10/2008 11:22

Morning all

I am at home with a migraine today feeling sorry for myself

I've just caught up and thread seems to be a whirlwind of big purchases, shopping, scans and of course GOFing!;)

I too have made a big purchase this week - we bought a car at the weekend and picked it up on Tuesday. Its AMAZING!

Also, have my 12 week scan on tuesday so that is very exciting. Can finally tell the few people that still dont know.

Diege - so sorry to hear about your cat. At age 21 my cat went missing, but she was VERY old, and kidneys failing etc. She didnt return. Theres still a song that sets me off about it if I hear it!SSorry I don't want to be negative but I understand how hard it is. My sisters cat went missing though and did turn up again, you just can't know what will happen. Hope he?she? does return to you soon. God, Im welling up thinking about Sooty now. She was FAB! (I was 10 when she went)
