Good morning

Thanks for new thread Ses, always feels all nice and calm at the start of a new thread!

All you busy bunnies, trips here there and everywhere, I would be but afraid I am becoming void of any emotion except screaming like a fishwish at anyone who dares to say anything at all to me, infact just being in the same room as me is likely to end up with me biting your head off Aha, theres another emotion.

Contractions are just being a plain old PITA Ses, thanks for asking! I am shattered (probably why I have this bloody mood on) managing about 4 hours a night roughly, shouldn't moan too much about that, can see it's going to get a lot less before the baby is born, I must be the only person who looks forward to the 'sleepless' nights with a new born, I get more sleep in those first couple of weeks than I do while pregnant!

Wow, I know how to moan don't I?!

cantwaitforxmas · 19/09/2008 10:00

Morning all, just thought I'd pop my head in and say hi.

I've had some rotten stomach bug for a week and haven't been able to keep any food down so I'm feeling very sympathetic to all you gaggers and pukers (and a little - at least you have a good reason for it). Hope you are all feeling better soon.

Going to see my beautiful 3 week old baby niece this weekend so will be feeling more impatient than ever to get on with ttc. Roll on xmas!

PS Hope you managed to get some sleep NJ and Cal I hope DS is better today.

GYo · 19/09/2008 10:01

Moan away- sounds like hell !! and i think you are being very good humoured about it.

Faxing over choccy biscuits to cheer you up!

SesHasapinkline · 19/09/2008 10:02

Moan away! We're (hopefully) at enough of a distance where you can rant away without our heads being at risk!
Having said that, I'm at contractions for you!
Right I'm going to stuff another rich tea down me and go off to work. Catch you all later!

OP posts:
cantwaitforxmas · 19/09/2008 10:03

Oops - crossed posts with you NJ. Sorry you are having such a rough time of it . Is this kind of thing common (newbie question )

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/09/2008 10:22

Xmas, sorry for tummy bug, sounds pretty crap (no pun intended! Actually, there was ) Have fun at the weekend

GYo, Mmmm choccy biscuits,

Ses, think I need one of those panic room things, to keep me away from the world this week! Have a good day at work

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/09/2008 10:25

Sorry xmas, just remembered you asked how common it is. TBH I don't know how common it is, it certainly isn't something that happens with every pregnancy, I didn't have it at all with DS1, DS2 I got it around 34 weeks, this time, I don't even know when it started, but it is getting gradually worse.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/09/2008 11:27

morning just dropping in to say Hi, We're off out after collecting DS from nursery so wont be about today. Had to see GP today about meds, he wants me to cut down and then stop taking it next week i feel like i'm loosing my lifeline!!

anyway, i may be around tomorrow. have fun!!

kookykid · 19/09/2008 11:35

Lovely thread title! Yuo, let's hope this the lucky one for those of us ttc!!!

Can't be long as manically cleaning my house in readiness for family and friends descending tonight.

Nice to see you all again!

Starshinetiger · 19/09/2008 11:44

Just a quick one, so I can find you all. Struggling to keep up and post, although I do lurk. Sickness still with me, but clinging on to reaching 14 weeks next week and then hopefully in next 2 weeks it will tail off (ever the optimist)!

Fingers crossed for those of you at the business end of the cycle (well, I suppose business is in the middle, but YKWIM )

NJ - sorry to hear about contractions, not much I can say, but thinking of you - must be totally exhausting.

Diege, 2-3 hours work extra a week for extra money sounds okay to me and presumably the extra cash will be worth it when you get pg too.

BB - good to see you back on. Glad to hear things are looking up.

GYo - seen you on the March thread, sorry your sickness is there still too.

right, must get on with work - boo.

tinkcantwaitfor3dscan · 19/09/2008 12:49

hi

right ladies car seats

dd is 3 years old and only weighs 11 kg

she has britax si car seat which goes up to 18 kg ( age 4 years)she will probably be 6-7 years by the time she gets to this weight defintly wont be this weight @ 4 years.
was thinking will want this seat for new baby from when they are 8 months as it is from birth.
was looking @ getting dd britax evolva 1-2-3 which is from 9kg (9 months) - 36kg (11years) she will need it soon anyway.

shall i go for it and get evolva one and have found it at a good price on net £98 is cheapest

www.babyequipmentcomplete.com/product_brands.php?mnuManufacturer=Britax&form=1&gclid=CIK9z_an3ZICFRo 71Aodq2Qu_A

this is the one that i want to get

Heebeejeebee · 19/09/2008 13:02

Great thread title!

Tink - I know nothing about car seats, but it sounds like a plan!

NJ - contractions do sound crap. You must be shattered..

Not much to report from me. Last day of clomid tomorrow before scan next Th. Might get some practise in this weekend anyway

Diege · 19/09/2008 14:24

Hello! Thanks for the new thread SES, great title . Back from town - note to self take buggy for dd3 next time! Got bits for mum's birthday and some more supplements for dh .
Those contractions sound a right PITA Nat - was it like this with ds's? Hi STAR Hadn't thought about extra money re: new baby - now there's a thought! It's a fair wodge, so would easily cover Xmas, a new pram, a holiday, and even (don't laugh) my plan to have one of those invisible braces for a crooked tooth that's always bothered me . No-one can even notice it, but it's just my 'thing' if that makes sense? Just got to start getting bits of prep done now. Ordered a book off Amazon to give me a reminder, so there's a start...
Hi GLASK - hopefully sickness will start to reduce anyway by time GP wants you off them...or naybe you could change tyopes/gradually reduce so it's noit as much oif a shock?
TINKS - go for the car seat. Sounds like you've thought it through, and not a bad price either . Will you get stung for p&p though?
Hi KOOKY, and good luck with the house cleaning! Hi XMAS - I think the early contractions to the extent of NATs are quite rare, so don't panic!
Well my pre-seed and other tests arrived today - great service I must say, so will wait till day 8 then start OV test. Don't know why I'm bothering - never in my life have I had a 'surge' detected, even the months I've been pregnant and tested from day 8 to 22 (28 day cycle) .
Right, school run - speak later x

Diege · 19/09/2008 14:25

Hi HEEBEE! Exciting week coming up for you then...may as well get a few goff's in

2beautifulgalsandabean · 19/09/2008 14:45

Hi everyone, sorry i havne't been on for agessss.
Been spending time with my nan, she is finding things very hard, so inbetween spending time with her, the school runs, cooking, cleaning, sleeping not time for much else

i've had a quick read through.
NJ- sorry about the contractions, does sound like a massive PITA. Never heard of it before might have to go goggle later is it irritable uterus? Did you make a decision on the nursery theme?

Diege- sounds like you have everything set to go. What CD are you on?

Tink- Car seat looks like a good price, and will last a long time.

Sorry if i have missed anyone. Got to go get DD2 from school.

I'm not feeling too bad at all, which is quite scary 5 weeks today was feeling sicky last week but gone now.
See midwife in 2 weeks.

Be back later.

diege good shopping lady

2bgs - cheers

how likely is it that if i got car seat that dd would stay in it till 11 years old?

lardybump · 19/09/2008 16:48

Tink my sister has one of those. You have to be careful as they dont fit all cars. It wouldn't fit into mine or my brothers. What car do you have??

lardybump · 19/09/2008 16:49

sorry pressed the wrong button. Hope everyone is well this evening. I have just ordered pizza and chicken strips and potato wedges for me and dd's dinner. DP is working late again and I didnt want to cook (lazy bones that I am).

tinkcantwaitfor3dscan · 19/09/2008 16:50

we have a citreon picasso i have checked on britax website says it fits
oh wow can i join you for dinner

Diege · 19/09/2008 16:57

Set another plate for me LB . Dinner sounds great! Dh is going out for a curry tonight, so contemplating having tea with dds or having some blurghy pasta dish later on (not a pasta lover).
GJ, are you OK? I noticed the sad little face there . Is it because of all the pregnancy announcements?
Plans for the weekend everyone? Looks like beign a sunny one according to forecast . We've got a barbeque invite for Sat (childrens' party with bouncy castle etc)then over to Wales for my mum's birthday on Sun

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 19/09/2008 16:58

hullo peeps! Just whizzing by to make sure you are on 'my threads'

I am following everyone's news (I think ) I just struggle to do the round-up thing...

Things much more settled here, no more show, no more contractions, less worry about helicopters

Take care all.
