Here we are on another new thread! Let's hope it's a lucky one

OP posts:
happynappies · 29/09/2008 14:37

Glad to hear it NJ - bit of a boring shopping expedition for me I'm afraid. New shoes for dd (£28!! couldn't believe it, and we're supposed to go back in 6 weeks for the next pair!!!), then trip to Woolies to get Winter wellies (bit of a tongue twister there!) then finally on to Sainsburys to stock up for, erm, probably another day or so before I'm back there again! Pregnancy brain seems to be striking big time, so everytime I return from the supermarket I realise the important thing(s) I've forgotten!

Your Mothercare order sounds really exciting though - you're so much more organised than me!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 29/09/2008 14:43

LOL Happy, I went into town a couple of times last week, the once I went in to get a single valance sheet, some double plugs and two 4 way plug extension things, came home with none of them, so had to go back in!

And as for the shoes, it is shocking, DS1 had all new uniforms to go back to school in at the beginning of Septemeber, his trousers are already bordering on being too short, his shoes are almost in pieces (bloody football grrrrrr) and I had to go and fork out for new school jumpers on Friday because his ones I got for the new term at the end of the summer term were too small....

Diege · 29/09/2008 15:14

Off home now (getting a lift with a colleague - what luxury!).
Didn't take offense at all about old lady's lap NAT Would be nice to think of him sittng on on!
Speak later x

SesHasapinkline · 29/09/2008 18:03

Thanks everyone!

Still feeling v relieved and am starting to think I am actually pg!

Catch you later

lardybump · 29/09/2008 18:32

evening everyone hope you are all well...... I am ok but DD is still poorly so not sleeping too well!!! Thus I am so tired.....

LaTourEiffel · 29/09/2008 19:17

Evening all...had a busy old weekend visiting family but it was lovely at the same time.

NJ - Must be being thick as don't understand about spaces - do you mean in your nickname? as you can't have spaces, only numbers or letters...

I don't think anyone has actually found me and I'm not worried but DH pointed out that my posting name is very similar to my RL name (and googled and found loads ) but I don't think anyone is stalking me! I have been thinking of changing my ID for ages anyway so now, when I'm kind of at a 'fresh starting point' as it were, it seems like a good time - do you like it?

AF has shown up after a gap of just over 4 weeks so efforts to ttc will start again shortly .

Ses - I've been holding my breath reading down the thread to find your post and am so pleased for you, it brought a little happy tear to my eye as I know how worried you must have been. When do you have your next scan, will you have a 12 week one as per 'normal'? Only asking so I know what might be expected!

Waves to everyone else! Got to do an online shop or there will be nothing to eat tomorrow!

Diege · 29/09/2008 20:08

Evening! Ah ha Latour I place you now . Good to hear ttc will be resumed asap - hopefully we can compare symptoms in the near future!
LB, poor you and dd How was the day trip on Sunday? Was it to Leed's castle? (or am I getting very muddled??)
Still smiling about your scan SES. I obviously had you on my mind as I rang up to speak to a colleague called SAZ and asked the secretary if I could speak to SES ; I kept repeating, 'no, 'SES!!'' until the penny dropped and I hastily backtracked
Still no sign of big cat , but we will take each day at a time re: breaking the news to dds. Something along the lines of he's gone for a wander/on holiday..
Off for an early night I think, although I had fancied wathcing second part of Place of Execution - twas v.good last week.
Speak tomorrow! x

LaTourEiffel · 29/09/2008 20:34

Evening Diege , I wasn't trying to be mysterious - just not too obvious! I can probably confirm by telling you that I went running again at the weekend, I've been struggling to get out lately but finally got out on Sunday and am hoping to go again tomorrow. It was much easier this time so def think its time to brave it and creep into week 2's training!

I thought the same about the pre-seed, quite messy but DH preferred it and it worked last time so hopefully it will be helpful this time around too!

Sorry your cat has gone AWOL, I expect you're right that he's just gone a-wandering and will be back soon.

Sorry I'm a bit behind on everything, the last week or so has been a real blur.

calsworld · 29/09/2008 20:42

Blimey guys - its been so long I feel like I've been on holiday! (I wish - not long to go now though!)

As some of you may have guessed from the lack of posting of late, with all that's happened this year, I'm going to be taking a permanent break from posting on MN, but will do my best to keep up with what you're up to.

So goodbye from Calsworld, see you around.

calsworld · 29/09/2008 20:44

Blimey, it took ages to write that silly little note...not ignoring you LaTour - have fun in the wagon .

GYo · 30/09/2008 01:09

Cals- sorry to see you go. Dont forget you are always welcome here if you want to come back. Take care.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 07:36

Morning

Diege, hope Big Cat has returned?

LB, hope DD is on the road to recovery today? Poor little thing.

LaTour, don't worry about the name/spaces thingy, I think we all know now! Is it a hoorah for period? I think it deserves a celebration coming so quickly

Cals, I understand why you have to go, hope you don't completely dissapear though xxx Enjoy ypur holiday sweetie

and the maxi-cosi rain cover, and some sun shades for the car (type that is like a fine film that sticks with static to the window, DS2 keeps pulling his off the window....

DH was like:

I was like: LOL

Am going to have a look for some little bits to go with the nursery bedding, I've got the big bookcase to fill with teddies and trinkets, etc.

Oh my poor DH

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 08:02

Oh, and, I was supposed to be seeing the MW today, but DS1 is poorly (he has had a really bad cough/cold for best part of two weeks, but he was coughing most of the night and can barely keep his eyes open this morning, so we've had the argument "I want to go to school " "I wan't you go to school as well, but you can hardly walk in a straight line" LOL Bless him)

Am going to have to cancel the MW and go next week I think.

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 30/09/2008 08:47

wow nat you have been busy i think you beat me with all that shopping sounds great though
i kind of miss not beable to decorate whole room for new baby as sharing with dd.
zanibar bits are lovely
i have oredered a maxi cosi cabrio footmuff 2 thought they were a gr8 idea have ordered mine in citrus green will be using seat on quinny frame.
also ordered rain cover for it as dd never had a rain cover for maxi cosi
poor ds1 being poorly

diege hope cat turns up
take care cal

not long till scan i am getting so impatient cant wait to find out worried will have legs crossed again and that
we still wont know.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 09:02

DS2 had the footmuff and the rain cover for the maxicosi and never used them, but, his pram had a proper carrycot so I prefered to use that, this time with the Bee only having the soft nest thing, I think I probably would use the carseat on the frame a bit more.

I am sure your scan will be fine, I think the 3D scans tend to be quite long (time wise) so you should have a good chance at getting a glimpse!

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 30/09/2008 09:29

think we have 15 mins is a mini 3-d scan package

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 09:41

Well, make sure you have eaten a tonne of chocolate sugar before you go in, shouldn't be too hard

SesHasapinkline · 30/09/2008 09:50

Morning!

Tink - not long now! Def go for lots of sugar but I'm sure you'll be fine. I reckon a boy...

I had really bad sharp pains on one side of my tummy at about 10.30 last night. I'm sure it was trapped wind though as accompanied by gurgling and farting Have just never had it that painful before.

again... Am still in bed! Must get up and do a bit of packing! Feel surrounded by boxes but at the same time there seems so much still to do!

Cal - take care of yourself and hope to see you back when you're ready.

LaTour - don't know if I'm being thick or if it's pg brain but I haven't worked out who you are.... Good luck though!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 09:55

Ses, don't forget that any pain, niggle, twitch and gurgle will feel so magnified at the moment, the trapped wind probably wasn't as bad as it seemed because you are constantly looking for any sort of feeling at all IYKWIM?

I've always said, before I got pregnant with DS1, I never EVER knew just how much your belly can ache and move and gurgle, you just really tune in to it when you're pregnant.

Even after you've had the baby there will be things that go on in your belly and for a split second you'll think 'cor, that felt just like a baby kicking' then if you are anything like me, CD2 period in full flow wondering if you should test just in case

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 30/09/2008 09:58

cheers ses and nat i was thinking of the sugar thing. going to take a bar with me and eat it when i get there just before scan

LaTourEiffel · 30/09/2008 10:12

Morning all - sorry to see you go Calsworld.

DS was supposed to have a swimming lesson this morning starting at 9.30 which DH and I both go to, one of us in the pool and the other one changing DS so we can both see him in lessons and get back to work ASAP - as we both have to make the hours up.

But when we got there the teacher was lurking in the car park because there's no chlorine in the pool . So dropped DS back to nursery - I have a doctor's appt. in a bit so have half hour to relax and MN before seeing the doc.

After having a MC very recently I'm just going to chase up my blood results to confirm hormone levels are all fine, which I assume they are as am now CD2, but mainly to get my ears looked at. I had a flight last week on a business trip and had a cold and since the flight there my ears have been blocked. I've been putting olive oil in them as that's what they say to do, but am really, really hoping they'll just syringe the bloody things. Its getting depressing now.

After two weeks off work after MC, then two weeks of snuffling, sore throats, blocked nose and ears I just want to feel well again. I'm fed up of people sympathising and I'm fed up of being ill. In fact, 2008 has truly been a crap year as far as my health goes...I must have clocked about 9 weeks sick leave so far .

Lets just hope that 2009 is better. What plans has everyone got for the week ahead?

What are all the ttc'ers up to - is it time for a list yet?

Diege - CD?, ttc DC4 after MC
LaTour - CD2, ttc DC2 after MC

Dalrymps · 30/09/2008 10:12

Hi everyone,

Sorry, x-posted SES (I seem to do that alot at the moment, think its coz I take so long to write my posts ).

I'm sure its fine and as NJ says, you are going to be hyper-sensitive to anything going on, its only natural. How many weeks are you - is it too early to get a doppler? Is that a bad idea, would you end up with it permanently strapped on as that probably wouldn't be helpful - but you might find it reassuring?

There's a squirrel at the bottom of my garden, rummaging around in the rain....
