NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 10:28

Have emailed you Glask

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 10:29

oh you meanie!! I emailed you when you emailed me!! I think i may have guessed....

SesHasapinkline · 30/09/2008 10:30

Aah! Think I've solved the LaTour mystery

Am 8 weeks. Had thought about doppler but not sure when it would work from. LOL at doppler strap on!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 10:30

LMAO, have replied to yours now LOL T'is like x posts, LOL

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 10:31

Mine picked up a HB at 9 weeks Ses, but it can be a lot longer than that. Fully trained MW's can find it tricky up to and beyond 16+ weeks.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 10:39

right i now know (thanks NJ) but am still puzzled!! Latour- very good!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 10:43

DH is buying me a doppler after next payday!! I'm getting the same one tink got. Though he keeps winding me up saying he's putting it away for xmas... all because i wont let him have his DS lite that i've bought him for xmas!!- i'll get it though!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 30/09/2008 10:46

LOL offer sex, he'll cave...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 10:51

haha!! sex subject made me LOL!!!

Between throwing up in a morning and being knackered at bedtime (should i say from 5pm) we've not done much GOFing since our BFP... in actual fact DH says its only 3 times!!

Yesterday we were watching a film in the afternoon, DS asleep in his bedroom, DD having a nap in her buggy, DH wanted to go up to bed for a quickie but i said no as i 'wasn't in the mood' poor DH said (in a low moody almost womans voice) 'have you gone off me or something, i mean dont you fancy me??' made me feel so sorry for him!! But also i nearly wet myself- its not like him to take things personally- i swear he's getting sympathy hormones!!

Though he got some GOFing this morning so he'll be happy for a few days, and it was pretty good for me too!!

Ses - congratulations on the scan! I hope the aches have eased. I know when I get pg again I'm going to be a nervous wreck at every twinge...

Tink - hope the time flies to the 3d scan!

Diege - has the cat turned up yet? How's the GOF'ing going? I psml at the squirting - I'm getting quite good at it myself! Poor DH has a cold though, so he's not really in the mood for me pouncing on him, but he's struggling manfully on
I think I'm due to ov today/tomorrow..

Glask - hope the sickness eases soon!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 12:39

thanks HBJB- i'm not doing too bad now really, have almost given up the medication now, have only taken 3 doses to make me better in mornings in the last 2 weeks- so i'm getting there!! Still have enough for another 10 emergency doses if/when needed. Have decided not to deprive myself if i need it, but not to depend on it.

Its freezing in blackpool- i want my heating on!!! had to collect DS from nursery in the cold, wind and rain and feeling frozen still!!! i'm off for a nap now, may be back later on this afternoon.

Just changed my due date on the list - 10 days earlier since I've had my dating scan (although the dates don't agree with Fertility Friend)

Diege · 30/09/2008 15:40

Hello! Work really is getting in the way of my lfe at the moment. Hopefully things will settle down in the coming weeks - am getting MN withdrawal!!
Just wanted to pop in and say hi before leaving for the train. Cat is still not back . Feeling disproportionately upset about it - maybe linked with the mc thing too...I don't know, maybe the whole of loss of control thing and him having been with us for 12 years and then just leaving. Probably over-analysing as usual, but finding it hard to think about much else.
I think I'm stumped about Latour now too . Thought I had it last night too .
On the ttc-front, managed another gof last night, so on cd17 today and have a day off tonight [phew].
Hope everyone is well - speak soon, xxx

SesHasapinkline · 30/09/2008 15:55

Hi Diege!
about cat. 12 years is a long time and the house must seem strange without him. Could well be a loss of control thing but also v normal to be upset. I'll keep hoping that maybe he's sheltering somewhere or someone else has taken pity on him temporarily until he comes home.
GOFing sounds like good timing at the moment so fingers crossed.

I'm sure I've got the LaTour thing sussed now - v impressed with how you've managed to get even us "off track"!

Heebee - good to hear from you. How's it all going? Do you have another scan to check ov?

Glas - another DH feeling neglected over here! V impressed with your quickie!

OP posts:
Heebeejeebee · 30/09/2008 16:31

Hi there

Diege - I really hope he comes home soon He may have got shut in to someone's garage and will hopefully reappear when they put their car away? 12 years is such a long time...

Ses - no more scans for now (until next month, I guess) but I have blood tests on Friday (day 21 progesterone and also a blood count as i lost so much blood in the mc my blood count was 6 or 9 (can't remember which) and the hospital sent me home with iron tablets. They were SUPPOSED to tell me to get a repeat prescription when that ran out, but they didn't. And that was 6 months ago). After that I need to call the consultant's secretary who will advise me on dosage for next month...

lardybump · 30/09/2008 17:15

evening all.

I have no clue who LaTour is either but then I am thick so will need it spelling out to me....

Diege so sorry about your cat. I just hope he comes back soon.

NJ you are a shopaholic and a half my god woman!!!!! ANyone would think this was your PFB. I am not aloud to get anything (we can not afford it really) so baby will have dd's old bits, they will be sharing a room anyway.... I will be getting some clothes though.....

Hi to everyone else hope you are all well.....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 30/09/2008 17:23

Diege- was going to say the same as HBJB... maybe he's just been shut in a shed/garage yesterday evening... hope he comes home to you soon... i have 3 cats and i will stand in the back garden shouting them until they come in for the night- i'm so scared about them staying out all night!!

LB- i'm kinda in the same boat as you... as we sold/passed all the DC's baby bits on (thinking DD was the last) we need to buy them all again... So my pram was bought used, the cot will be bought used.... but then clothes etc will be as normal, some bits off ebay if i find anything i like and the rest new...

istinkhavingaboyoragirl · 30/09/2008 17:54

hi

if i find out i am having a girl will just buy 2-4 newborn outfits wont need anything else dd had so many clothes
if a boy will buy all new.
have bought quinny buzz by selling old pram and other bits on ebay
cot only £50 on kiddicare and cot mattress only £30
will buy a mobile

LaTourEiffel · 30/09/2008 20:47

Evening all! Am feeling much better this evening and having a glass of red to celebrate the successful syringing of my ears! YAY! I can hear! The nurses were really lovely and the one who actually did the washing bit turned out to be a bereavement counsellor and I ended up having a bit of a blub, she was sooo lovely though, I kind of couldn't help it! She said if I needed to talk to just book a blood pressure check up and go down and see her, so nice to have some support available if I need it.

Then I went to work and had a big cry there too but boss was very lovely and made me tea and she helped me with my work too, so that seems a bit less daunting now.

DH picked DS up from nursery for me so I could work late (I have an important meeting tomorrow) and when I got home he'd cooked DS' tea, hoovered all of downstairs, cooked our tea which we ate, then he went upstairs and cleaned the bathroom before doing DS' bedtime routine! He's not normally this good but its lovely when he is!

Diege, you're my virtual running buddy, so I know you know who I am. NJ has def. worked it out (so I know Glask has it too) and think Ses has me sussed. Tink, my shopaholic friend, surely you can guess too , LB - this thread's just too addictable for me to stay away long so sure you'll guess soon .

I didn't mean to be quite so mysterious but its entertaining - perhaps we should all take it in turns - then I could have a go at guessing too!?

Tink - have to ask you about mobiles - do you choose one that matches your nursery, one with a tune / functionality that you like (e.g don't have to wind up every 30 seconds / not annoying tune) or one of the Lamaze style ones thats all funky black and white as its supposed to be good for little babies? I'm looking forward to having another and buying stuff (I was given ALOT of stuff for DS) and I think I'd quite like to choose a mobile this time round, although, I LOVE the tune on mine - its "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" and DS was mesmerised by it so maybe I should keep it... oh well, not even pg yet, interested to hear people's thoughts though! Would make a change from the great buggy debate

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/10/2008 06:55

Morning

Diege, any sign of the cat? I really hope he's back now. It is understandable about you being upset (and not even disproportionally so) 12 years is a hell of a long time.

Glask, good news about you managing on the most part without the meds

LaTour, I hope you feel a bit better after yesterday? It is a funny old world the nurse being there at the right time, DH being in a helpful mood etc. it all comes together sometimes!

Diege · 01/10/2008 08:03

Morning . Thanks everyone for your good wishes about the cat. People think I'm mad, but he had been with me through everything and is part of the family. Still no sign , and I'm becoming resigned to bad news. I think it's because he was poorly and quite weak that I'm thinking he's gone off to die . Sorry to be so depressing first thing!
One good side effect is that it's taken my attention off ttc, so I'm not symptom spotting in the slightest! Even though I got my positive opk, I'm not holding out much hope for this month as didn't get any EWM, but hey stranger things have happened!
Great news about the ear syringing LATOUR! Oh to hear again! Sounds like you've mad e a good friend there too in the nurse
Monring NAT . Any more shopping planned for today or are you having a breather? THink you've got some lovely stuff there
Right, I am going to get a cup of tea in the canteen (yes, I've been in work since 7.45 First day of teaching today so will be glad to get it over with and settle back into it all. Speak later x

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/10/2008 08:27

Oh, that is sad about your cat Diege I know it's become a bit of a cliche but it is the not knowing that makes it worse. Hopefully he is just wallowing somewhere and will return yet.

More shopping today, still need to get some sort of crib or moses basket or something - somewhere for the baby to sleep downstairs in the day, and the bedding for it, and I suppose at some point I had better start thinking about a hospital bag, the way the contractions are going I think I'd better get a start on it sooner rather than later (just for it to clog up the house till middle of Jan no doubt!) Also got boring spends to make, bills in town , it's pissing down out there!

Oh and don't give up on the no EWCM, you can easily miss a little bit, and the pre-seed helps as well.

Hope the teaching goes well
