Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

WB,

If your DH had 22m after reversal then unless he's suffered any trauma to the nether regions since then it shouldn't have dropped significantly (although I gather male fertility does decline a little with age but not as dramatically as for women.)

The one thing that gives me hope is that the doc said to dh that if he was trying to avoid getting me pg we should use contraception i.e. even 1m is enough, although the probability is low. We now have to concentrate on improving his count as some of it will be due to mumps and some due to tight trews.

Fingers crossed for your results - ours came back in 3 days .

BL xx

hi babybop-i take it you are trying for your 2nd? well good luck for your ttc and lets hope you hit the spot v soon.

Worriedbev · 25/02/2005 13:00

BL

Let me know the results and I will let you know ours. My partner wears boxer shorts so should be ok. He hasnt suffered any trauma as far as I am aware so hopefully there will be some there, as you say it only takes 1! I will try to do something to help him with his sperm count if I can, zinc tablets are supposed to be useful so will try anything.

Regarding improving sperm count, Although I am not ttc now, I have 3 children, you may like to hear what helped me. It took me 6 mths to conceive 1st child which felt like ages at time. After 2 yrs trying for second, hubby had a sperm test which showed virtually NO sperm at all. We were referred for ivf, and told not to be optimistic. Doc said 'ds was a miracle'. In the meantime we both went for reflexology treatment (lovely) and a herbalist advised hubby to take 'Saw Palmetto' herb in water (from holland barrett). It was useful for prostate and thought it may help - athough didn't know for sure. After two months I conceived, but miscarried at 6 weeks. On the third month, I conceived, and had ds2. We decided to try for a third, and dh took saw palmetto for 3 months before we tried, and I caught first time! I can offer no other explanation to my conception other than this. A friend of ours has just started to try it, but no news so far. I just think when you are desperate anything is worth a go.

cp3 · 26/02/2005 15:05

Ahh Fresco i know what you mean about the normality feeling. Unfortuanley im on the two week wait to test now and i feel rotten. Not preganat rotten just moody and impatient.

When i get my af ill be fine cos then at least then i know. And we vcan start again. Also doesnt help that my other half is away and i miss him and its a peak time for us and i miss him, miss him miss him miss him. Oh yeah and the kids are a night mare and keep asking for him.

velcrobott · 26/02/2005 21:24

Hi Expat - why do you say you didn't ovulate ? How do you know ?
Congrats Sparkly

After much BD this month... seems like AF are here... spotting and cramps today (CD23 though)..... and as I am under investigation for premature menopause... I may well not have ovulated.... grrrr....

Do any of you have short cycles ?

munnzieb · 27/02/2005 09:58

MG- wow congratualtions!

Velcrobott- I have short cycles, if I OV on 13/14 it's a 26 day cycle, OV on 12/13 it's a 25 day cycle, and I've only once had a 24 day ccyle. I think I am on with the 12 one month 13 the other idea, might have to put that to my gyno when I see her.

BabyBop · 27/02/2005 13:05

Congrats MG!!

Think we are just going to BD as and when we can til AF arrives, which may be a while yet. Doc said it can take up to a year for AF to come back after being on the depo.

Am desperate for a girl and so is DH, but will be happy if we get another boy. Will just have to try again! lol!!

cp3 · 27/02/2005 14:14

BB, im desperate for another boy. Funny thing is when i found out his sex when carrying i was so worried i wouldnt bond and wouldnt know what to do with him. Now id like hundreds of them. Just going to go for one though, think that would be wise.

BabyBop · 27/02/2005 14:18

i would love loads of kids

cp3 · 27/02/2005 14:21

How many have you got so far then.

BabyBop · 27/02/2005 15:25

more than one!!

cp3 · 27/02/2005 15:45

I can work out from your postings that you have one so far. Hmmmm, will it be to easy to guess you if you go into more detail???????

sparkly · 27/02/2005 16:16

Have had a horrible weekend. Told DP on Friday night and he was so excited then hours later I started to bleed. Did another test Saturday afternoon and it said not pregnant . Can't believe it was taken away so quickly. I know it was early on but I still feel so sad. It's knowing how close we were and how suddenly it was taken away. I'm trying not to dwell on it and be brave but I'm just so sad.

cp3 · 27/02/2005 16:35

How awful for you Sparkly. I know exactly how you feel as have been there too. A whole week of pure elation and then was brought crashing down.

Get yourself checked out just incase. Take Care Honey. How are you feeling now?

munnzieb · 27/02/2005 18:03

oh sparkly, i'm so sorry hon (((((((hugs)))))))). on a positive note hopefully you will be able to fall again quite quickly if you chose to. have you been to your doctor yet? remeber we're all here if you want to chat.

BB/CP3 - I want a boy (and only boys) but DH only wants girls so were at a stale mate. I do worry thou that if I find out the sex I will be dissapointed if it's a girl. still I suppose we have to get there first!
