Oh and hi makingafamily... good to see you back here... hope you do ovulate soon so those yoghurt pots come in use!

NJ- how are the contractions today?

(its slowly coming back to me!)

Morning everyone. First of all, Congrats Ses! I'm very pleased for you, hope all goes well. When will you get your first scan (am I planning ahead too far ahead?)

I had an OK weekend, PIL were really good and managed to avoid the topic without being obvious and without being disrespectful either, don't know how they managed to not upset me really because I've been very unreasonable over the weekend (or how I've managed not to upset them). But all in all it was probably the best place to be.

I feel a bit crap being at home today. Speaking of which, I'm not at work as had a bit of a meltdown on Friday following my last posts and DH came home from work and called the doctor. Doc didn't do much but his presence calmed me down and he has signed me off for 2 weeks. He says I shouldn't go back until I can stand people asking me how I am without crying. I think it depends on who asks and what the context is - but I'll see how it goes.

I must have the worst employee record ever this year as I've had SO much time off sick this year - mostly with tonsillitis. Not great in an industry (and company) currently going through a lot of redundancies.

Sorry that's quite a 'me' post...will try better to get up to date.

MAF - yoghurt potting sounds, erm, messy fun? hope its all going well!

KK - glad you're still lurking, I miss you

NJ - Sorry for your IU, can't believe its happening so early but glad as others have said that you've got reassurance () from MW

GYo and co. - thanks for keeping me company on Friday (sod the rules) to everyone.

DH has had to go into work for a meeting this morning so has left me with DS for company. He's planning on being back at about lunchtime to work from home for the rest of the day and for the next couple of days to keep an eye on me me company.

Not really sure what to do with myself but I'm feeling the need for some a) shopping and b) tidying and cleaning and de-cluttering although will probably end up doing bugger all and watching crap telly!

tinkhasanacrobatic · 01/09/2008 08:55

Morning Cal, Tink.

Cal- glad the weekend was better than you expected. Your doctor does sounds great... glad he is taking proper care of you, and your DH sounds great.

Tink- glad you survived the party

OP posts:
calsworld · 01/09/2008 09:17

Ooh tink - forgot about you and your party! Was it good? How on earth did you manage with 40 people??

DS has just waved and said 'bye' and run out the room - his language skills have really accelerated over the last two weeks, he just imitates everything, some words better than others, but he's lovely.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 09:20

Morning all

Ses still grinning from ear to ear for you And that 'pregnant' on the CBD is fantastic!!

Diege glad the day went well How did you miss the rain? and !

MAF fear it may be too late for my good luck, but good luck anyway!

Cal, you know I found de-cluttering the house an amazing coping mechanism. I did the whole crap telly/wrinkly baths thing, but once the physical side was over with I just didn't want to sit still anymore, in fact I couldn't sit still. So glad the weekend went well. Don't worry about work, you take all the time you need. If you go back before you're ready you won't be up to much in the way of work anyway.

Tink, glad DD's party went well Did she enjoy it?

Thanks to everyone asking about the contractions. They are coming and going, no where near painful yet though so am hopeful it won't start properly for a little while yet. Tell you what though, DH couldn't be more pleased, all the goings on down there have flicked my errrr... 'switch' back on, we had a very late night last night not sure I'd fit all the smilies on if I counted them up LOL T'is good to be back!!

.....not even in the slightest bit Nope, not me....

Diege · 01/09/2008 09:36

Morning! LOL Nat at your 'flicked switch' - reminds me of when you were ttc!
CALS - take it easy over the next few weeks - I was at the crap TV stage for a few weeks before I felt like doing anything constructive. I went back to work far too early, and still have the prospect of telling one person I'm not pregnant anymore when I go back tomorrow. It does get easier, but I think your GP was wise to sign you off, esp as your work sounds v.stressful.
Hi GYO! Can't belive you're nearly 12 weeks!! Wow! I think my tiredness lifted too around this stage with dds, before returning with a vengeance at 30ish weeks
Hi TINKS! Glad the party went well - we are merging dd3's 3rd with dd2's 6th as they are only a week apart - hopefully we'll get away with it for a few years yet!
Right, off into town to buy some trousers for work - can't risk internet buys as I'm a real short arse!
Speak later! (oh and HOW rubbish is Heartbeat??!!).

GYo · 01/09/2008 09:43

Hi everyone

LOL re switch flicking Nat, love it when that happens.... Hope you enjoyed yourself...

Good luck with the trouser shop Diege...

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 09:44

He is sending me rude texts LOL I am playing it cool, but have a feeling the kids will be in bed early tonight!

Hope your shopping goes well

Oh BTW, just incase anyone is looking for one on the off chance, we bought this yesterday (after DS2 was sick all over the carpet, I cleared it up, moaning all the while, DH had a trip to the tip to do, he came home with it as a surprise - how romantic ) it is bloody fantastic! Can't believe how excited I am over a carpet cleaner, but the difference...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 09:48

T'was very nice thanks GYo LOL

GYo · 01/09/2008 10:08

Im loving your floor cleaner Nat!

Im after something to clean a very dirty kitchen floor- its lino but got textured surface so there is dirt and dust in the cracks and I just cant shift it with a mop.

Will share your excitement..

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 10:35

We have only done the living room and play room so far (carpets in both) but the kitchen is next on the list (ceramic tiles) we have a grey colour grout which looked lovely when it went down, now just looks mucky, am really looking forward to seeing what it can do in there!

How sad am I? I have real proper sex for the first time in years weeks a while, and still I bang (no pun intended, honestly ) on about the carpet cleaner

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 10:37

T'was a bargain as well, DH was looking last night if he got a good deal (this is a man that would normally spend days searching the internet for the best deal before buying anything of any worth) The cheapest he found it else where was some crappy un-known shop on the net for £180, so it was a good deal afterall!

Only thing is, the detergent for it is £15 a bottle, and we have already used the best part of two bottles!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 11:07

I'm back!!!

GP gave me some medicine for the sickness and i'm doing really well on it. Lucky as i was borderline hyperemesis so if it hadn't worked i'd have been in hospital!!

Ses- congrats!! those tests i sent have a faint line even on my BFP's from 14 & 15 dpo!!

Cal- sorry to hear of what happened, only found out today when catching up but i'm sure you've had plenty of support from the wagon!!

Tink- sorry you couldn't find out the sex, sure it'll perform on the 3-d scan for you!!

NJ- contractions so early doesn't sound so good.... hope it stays away!!

anyone else i've missed- Hi

Glask, glad you've got the sickness sorted

Good to have you back

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 12:27

Hello!

Glaskham - thank you for the lucky tests Glad Dr has helped sort your sickness too. It's good to have you back!

NJ - LOL at your flicked switch! I hope those DC go to bed promptly for you . Hope your contractions calm down as well. I quite like my photo of my CBD too. When I'm having moments of doubt, I just take a look!

Cal - still thinking of you lots. Sounds like wkend went as well as it could have and glad you've been signed off for 2 weeks. Take more if you think you need it.

Diege - I completely understand your wistful I've been there. Fingers crossed for a June baby for you.

Kooky - thank you so much for your post. It's finally happened for me and I hope you get your BFP soon too.

Tink - 40????!!!!!!! Are you wonderwoman or something?!!

GYo - 12 weeks! Where did that time go!? Hopefully I'll be saying that soon.

At the moment I'm mainly feeling worried. Wanting to do a hpt every day but I'm restraining myself from today to twice a week. Waste of money otherwise. Have been getting a few pains too but hopefully it's still implantation.

Right - back to work! Catch you all later!

tinkhasanacrobatic · 01/09/2008 12:39

Diege · 01/09/2008 15:07

Arhhh!! EWM has arrived and dh not back till Tues night . Pleased that my body seems to be working OK though, as day 16 ov (today) would fit in with slightly longer af. Still...
Great news on sickness front GLASK - you have a great GP there. Hossy drip is not a great place to be I can tell you. Being nosey, did you get stemitol (sp)?
Here's to my June baby then SES. Still keep grinnign whenever I think of your happy news. Have you used the new CBD yet? (think you got a free one??)Buggy plans sound great TINKS - must be very staifying to get the money for your old stuff before splurging!
On the splurge front (and I'm not talking about Nat I've had a good shop in town today. Only went in for trousers (got them) but ended up with 3 pairs of shoes for me, a skirt, top and shoes from Zara (HOW small is their sizing!!), 3 pairs of shoes for dd3, a jumper and two tops for dd3, and a coat for me!!! All spend up now, and in a way need to have a few pregnant-free months just to get some wear out fo things!
Back at work tomorrow, and it'll be quiet too, so loads of mumsnet time

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 15:48

Diege- he gave me maxonol i think (can't be bothered to get off my bum and go and look!!) and you dont need to tell me about hospital drip's!! was in twice with DS, so luckily i had previous experience to prove i was being more than just sick!! I had a 50% chance of coming out of it OK myself with DS as the receptionist at my old GP's kept telling me she couldn't make me an app as sickness was 'part and parcel of pregnancy'!! Though throwing up every 5-10mins for 2 weeks solid isn't normal!!

anyway, just glad i'm sorted this time!! i'm pretty certain its a boy though because of the sickness!!

anyhow, your shopping sounds good... i did some online shopping, got a maternity coat from verbaudet, lots and lots of clothes for DD for xmas (summer clothes for next year) from their too and it only came to £65!!

then did an online shop with tesco (not posh enough for a waitrose or ocado (sp?) here!!)

and still have lots of money to splash on some toys for the kids for xmas!!

we're lucky that DH gets paid 4 weekly and we pay the mortgage every month, so every year DH gets paid 13 times, so we always have one payday without having to pay the mortgage, just so happens to be this pay... and we also dont have to pay our water rates, car insurance, and home phoneline either in this payday!!! And next month he gets his audit bonus so i can splash that on baby things after the 12 week scan!!

tinkhasanacrobatic · 01/09/2008 15:56

well done on shopping diege and glas

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 15:57

well done to you tink on getting all the money for your buzz!! i'd love one but i'm quite happy with the mamas and papas i have. I may be tempted by a luna though!!

tinkhasanacrobatic · 01/09/2008 16:04

cheers glas

@ dds party yesterday 2 of my friend say that i am definetly having a boy due to the way i am carrying so we will have 2 see

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 16:09

i'll keep em crossed for a boy for you!! i have a feeling it is!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 16:10

Afternoon, of all your shopping, I have MW appointment tomorrow, and it is DS1's last day of hols so (if I manage to swerve the consultants after the MW's) we are off into Blackburn, DS1 has pulled his other wobbly tooth out so he'll have more money to spend LOL Not a bit like his mum, I'd sell my teeth for more shopping money as well!!

I am looking for a steam cleaner whatsitthingymejig, have no idea where to start!
