New thread over here!!

lulumama · 01/09/2008 16:11

how are you feeling NJ, any more ctx?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 16:13

They have calmed a bit Lulu, still getting more than I would like, but they haven't been too painful and haven't gotten any more regular than 20 minutes.

Think you have a slight reprive for now!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 16:24

oh nat!! i wish i had a MW app!! still not even got my booking app yet!! though i suppose the GP only found out on thursday when i went for my medicine!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/09/2008 16:32

Am I the only one in the whole world who hates MW appointments?

(Sorry if that sounds insensitive?)

The appointments just annoy me, just the whole having to get there and then always coming out having forgotten something because it is all so rushed, and then you realise that you've gotten 2 kids and yourself up, showered, dressed, and ready to go, got on the bus, walked 1/2 hour to the doctors, sat in the waiting room with DS2 getting more and more irritated for sometimes up to an hour, and then walked the 1/2 hour back into town just to repeat the whole bus journey, all for the sake of a 2 minute lie down on a bench while someone measures your belly and sticks a stick in your wee, and tells you to come back and do it all over again in 4 weeks!

I am in no way having a go at the MW's BTW, the pressure they are under, there is nothing else they could do, or that I'd expect them to do.

God, that was a moan wasn't it?

lardybump · 01/09/2008 16:34

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 16:57

I'm doing ok thanks. V worried after everything that's happened but I do now many people who have a mc later go on to have no problems. (I think all of us with mc experience just need to try and keep that in mind). I've been getting a few symptoms.... The last 3 mornings I've woken up at 4.30am, few crampy pains and (best of all) indigestion and diarrhoea!

Wierd thing happened yesterday at church. Lovely lady came up to me and said "I heard you were expecting. Is that right as you have a very neat bump!" I knew word had got round when I had been of so just quietly said "O I was of but unfortunately mced". Poor lady was upset for me and gave me a big hug! All the while I'm hiding my bfp that I've just got! Have to say, it would have been a v tiny baby as it would have been due Oct! I guess she had no idea of my dates!

Wierd not telling anyone (other than you guys of course!) Oh and did tell bf up in York yesterday who tried to control her excitement. Last time round though about 20 people knew by now! Don't regret that but want to wait until a successful early scan this time round before telling anyone else.
Thank goodness for you lot as you guys have now had to put up with my waffle!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 16:59

oh LB- so sorry to hear things are going pear shaped at home... if your online to pop in and offload to us!! you know you're always welcome to offload whatever it is!!

i know we dont do em but i think you need one today {{{hugs}}}

GYo · 01/09/2008 17:04

Always welome on here to talk about being pregnant- so exciting and it feels extra exctiting for you...

Being worried must be the most natural thing in world given history.. We are all here to help support you in sickness and worry...

Im just loving the CBD picture. So cool for the avoidance of doubt!

OP posts:
SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 17:10

Had to do it and seriously it is helping to look at it every so often!
Also just realised there are probably about 20 people I've told so far this time too - it's just that they're MNetters!
This is going to sound really cras and soppy and...whatever.... but:
After everything that happened I wanted to try and find something positive to come out of it all and at one point toyed with the idea of setting up my own website on mc. I even bought a book on how to do it as I have no idea! Then I found MN and I guess that has been the positive thing to come out of it all. Can't ever imagine not having MN to log on to and share the highs & lows and (hopefully) help a few others along the way.

GYo · 01/09/2008 17:16

ooh thats a nice idea, not soppy at all

Since being so worried after I had my early bleed (I know its not like having a full MC) I am very clear in my mind that if its meant to be, it will be - regardless... its a shame you cant get a guarantee card at time of BFP!

MN is amazing support - both giving and receiving. and its like a having a network of RL friends. Sometimes its sad we are all so far apart, but then its the MN setting that makes it what it is!

BTW, I am still looking at my positive pregnancy tests, two months later!

Will go as I am wittering (as my DH would say)

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 17:24

ses- waffle away!!

i am over the moon about being pg- and this is the third time!! i've told lots of RL people (did with the other 2, and some people have noticed my BUMP already!!!) so can completely understand you being full of beans about it!!

i'm currently pondering wether to buy DC's a playhouse and see-saw off tesco online for £82 inc p&p... i think thats very good... the house is a brown colour too, looks ever so much nicer than the white cheapy ones!! have text DH to ask him what he thinks but no reply yet!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 01/09/2008 17:37

oh dear- have been extra extra lazy and ordered dominos online for tea!! my food shopping isn't being delivered until lunch time tomorrow so i have nothing it at all!! I'm going to have a chicken combo for my tea and let the kids feast on a 'scrummy' pizza... they'll hopefully leave a few pieces un-mangled for DH to warm up in the oven later!!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 17:42

Sounds good Glask! I've not decided what we're having yet.... DH just phoned to say he won't be home til about 7.30pm.
Enjoy!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 18:27

Diege - you're right I do have one of the new CBD tests. I'm thinking I may save it for about 2 weeks time to check all is on track ok and my hcg levels aren't going down.
Am I silly to think like that? Don't know...

Have a good evening everyone!

Diege · 01/09/2008 19:16

Evening Lardy, so sorry things are so bad at home. I sort of got the impression that things weren't great from your last few posts . As others have said, we talk about everything on here, so don't feel you have to keep it in if you don't have any other outlet. Lots of hugs, and remember we are here for you xx
Agree, SES and GYO, mumsnet is a real lifeline - I for one would be lost without it, and don't remember how I spent my time before I discovered it (via the For Sales board if I remember!)A bit like not remembering what you did with your time pre-children .
GLASK,your tea sounds yummy!Playhouse and see-saw sounds farily reasonable (don't have a clue about pricing I should say) esp if includes p&p. I'm sure DCs would love it
Having some quorn thingy myself, as mum has left now and dh not due back till Tues pm. Feels v.odd, but strangely nice .
Speak tomorrow from work, night everyone! xxx

Diege · 01/09/2008 19:19

ooh SES, totally up to you but I would do the CBD now to 'get it out of the way'. I can't see how they can be that accurate for dating putposes, as there's a huge variety in HCG levels for different women. And then what would you do if it said less pregnant that you thought?? (not saying that it would of course, but will you be getting an early scan at about 8 weeks anyway??). Can you imagine the anxiety probably for no reason???OK, lecture over

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 19:40

I think you're right Diege.... I think I just worry that lst time I had no idea what was going on until I got to 12 weeks. (Again) you're right - the EPU said to phone and get an early scan at about 7 weeks so that will hopefully reassure me. Will use the new CBD this week sometime...
Thanks for the lecture, I think it was needed!

Diege · 01/09/2008 20:00

It's just how I would feel but I can see more negatives than positives. Not long till your first scan then really - v.exciting

GruffaloSoldier · 01/09/2008 20:03

Evening all

I am a very stinky Gruffalo indeed tonight. My farts are so bad that even the cat told me off! (she makes her feelings very clear...she doesn't like whistling or people talking to loud...or continuous smelly farts when shes trying to sleep on your lap! )

Diege - re your earlier post about my early scan- I get an early scan as I came off the prog. only pill after having no periods for a couple of year due to the pill I then got my BFP 8 weeks later therefore they need to confirm how pregnant I am as the traditional method isn't possible! Good for me though as I get an early scan!

LB - I am so sorry to hear of your situation, it must be a very worrying time for you and I can only echo what everyone has said and that we are all here if you need us.

Tink - glad the party went well.

Glask - glad you are feeling better and doc sorted you out. play equipment sounds good too!

Sorry to anyone I have forgotten - I am rubbish!

I still feel sick, I know it could be alot worse but when its bad I just grind to a halt. Poor DH is doing everything! (actually thats nothing new!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:10

Sorry to hear you are windy gruff but you have made me laugh!

.... had wondered why my back door keeps banging in wind though...
