Gruffalo - glad your head is a bit better. Do you need nagging about drinking water today?!
Buying a car sounds like v good shopping - bet even tink can't beat that this weekend! What are you looking to get?

I'm just back from midwife. She was sooo lovely and I am glad I went. I apologised for going so early but explained the situation. She hesitated about doing the full booking in but then decided to do it all anyway. She reassured me that a mmc is rare and it was even rarer to be getting full symptoms like I did right up until ERPC. I was still feeling nauseous up until ERPC and my boobs were still sore until 5 days after ERPC! She said normally symptoms would start to have tailed off.
Now I just have to hope that my sore boobs and nausea carry on! I did well up a little bit but she was good and didn't fuss but just carried on with the appointment in a sympathetic manner.
Also moving house came up in conversation and she knows the house we are buying as the people we are buying off had a little girl about 18 months ago and she visited them there!

Can't wait to get my hair cut this afternoon. I've not had it done since begining of May and my usual hair dresser was on maternity leave and the other girl put my parting too far over and I've been struggling with it ever since. Back to my usual girl today and looking forward to getting the right parting and a few layers put in so it doesn't get so tangled!

Then off out for a meal tonight with friends.

Hope everyone else is having a good day

GYo · 12/09/2008 10:40

Hi Ses
Glad the MW went well. She sounds like a good one so I hope you can keep her. Also good to get a full booking in. Least your officially on the books now. Any word of any early scan?

2BG- sounds like the symptoms are getting going for you! I felt quite ill early on but then felt better (only nausea from time to time) til the tiredness hit big time at 7 or 8wks... Do your dates mean you will give birth in UK or US?

Cal- are you still lying in that comfy bed... Any chance of a pot of Wagon porridge today? I keep thinking of how lovely that topper must be... thinking about getting one for me and DH now! Especially given the amount of time I spend in bed... sleeping, I might add!

Have an early scan booked for 29th Sept. Trying not to think about it as it just freaks me out. Still don't really think I'm pg. More like I'm trying to be pg but nothing I can do about it!

tink - where do you get your energy from to have done all that??!!!

I've been pretty inactive recently as not wanted to risk anything but it's not helping my waistline. I must try and take the dogs for a decnt walk today.

SesHasapinkline · 12/09/2008 12:28

Hi emma!
That makes you about a week ahead of me

I've had 2 ERPCs this year. To try and put it delicately, after a missed mc, its the operation / procedure to ensure all the pregnancy is removed. Am hoping that this pregnancy will finally give me dc1!

Right after all the talk of diets on here yesterday, I have no fresh fruit and veg in the house so I'm off t o go and get some salad and fruit for lunch!

tinkhasanactivebean · 12/09/2008 12:40

ye we will hide it before xmas going to buy it end of oct as have elc voucher to use. ye we cant wait to see baby on the scan
we are having the 3-d scan done in portsmouth it is costing £65 and then will buy a cd for an extra £20 which has 35 pics on of baby that you can print off. hoping to finally find out gender 2

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/09/2008 12:57

Hello

Have made a good start on the xmas and bday shopping Also bought DS2 a rain mac thing and wellies, am now almost hoping it rains so he can go splashing in the puddles! LOL no one needs to do it for me, I know we have had enough rain without wishing for more!

Pressies look great Tink I am 24 weeks tomorrow and while I'm not doing too badly in the energy department, I am still dropping off to sleep on the sofa in the evenings, and bursting into tears at the slightest of things I went for a walk yesterday evening (I find if I do a gentle walk after dinner my hips aren't too bad in the night) and there was a dog running lose out side, some kids were running after it calling his name, obviously a family pet got out, reminded me of when my old dog got out once, he was gone for ages, I actually had to try really hard not to burst into tears in the middle of the street! LOL

Ses, glad the MW was so nice and reassuring

Gruff, yellow is a lovely colour for a nursery, DS2's room is blue and yellow, it is really warm and calming.

tinkhasanactivebean · 12/09/2008 13:02

lol @ splashing in puddles

thought that you were going to say that the dog ran into you glad it didnt

i am 22 weeks .

2beautifulgalsandabean · 12/09/2008 14:36

God i feel sick

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/09/2008 15:56

Well DS2 slept in his wellies and wore them to school even though it hadn't rained LOL Bless him, they are Thomas the Tank so he loves them to bits, Igglepiggle didn't even make it to his room let alone his cot!

2BG sorry your feeling poorly, can't be much fun.

My sister just rang before I went to get DS1, she's having another MC. She says she's not feeling too bad, they weren't TTC'ing, (they've just got back hols in the Caribean and thinks the time difference of taking her pill must have let it happen) but it is her 3rd MC now, not an easy week for her. I didn't know what to say though, I know she didn't want another baby, their son is going to be 13 next month so she feels it is much too big an age gap, and they go on holiday 3/4 times a year which she says they couldn't do if they had another baby, but at the same time, going through all of that is so damn difficult and I was stood there with my mouth open just not knowing what the hell to say, what do you say to someone who lost something they didn't exactly want anyway?

tinkhasanactivebean · 12/09/2008 16:11

oh nat your poor sis

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/09/2008 16:37

Yes, you can imagine how all over the place her head must be now.

lardybump · 12/09/2008 16:55

evening all.

Nat so sorry for you sister and hope you are ok.

I am 17 weeks tomorrow, I havent had my scan appointment yet so hope they havent forgotten me...

tinkhasanactivebean · 12/09/2008 17:16

wow lb cant believe you will be 17weeks
ithink i got my scan appointment @ 17-18 wks

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/09/2008 17:20

Evening LB Sorry can't remember when I got my scan date, actually have memories of booking it at the 12 weeks scan appointment. It differs in every area though, give it another week and if you've heard nothing ring your MW.

I'm OK thanks, other than that bit of sad news, have had a good day all in all.

Oh and it is raining now - should have kept my wishes to myself!

SesHasapinkline · 12/09/2008 17:35

Hello all!

NJ - sorry for your sister - it's tough news whatever the circumstances.
It's raining here too and we even had a bit of thunder!

We're still waiting on exchanging contracts. Looks like it will be Monday now.

LB - 17 weeks!! Makes me realise how long I've been on MN now as you were still LL when I joined!

lardybump · 12/09/2008 17:39

I have a problem that I need to address. MIL keeps going on about having dd again for the day. The thing is that I don?t like her at all. She shows me no respect and ignores my wishes and I don?t want her to have dd. She was a crap mother to dp and really messed up his head, and she is rude and disrespectful to me. The thing is I know I am being selfish and don?t want dd to miss out because of me!! The thing is that I need to get over myself really and I don?t know where to start.

As soon as I see the woman my blood boils (I do keep it very under wraps there is no way she knows) and I revert to a petty child.. But she is so domineering. She snatches dd from me as soon as I walk in (or she walks in) and then follows her around like a bloody lost sheep. It winds me up so much!! DD is not her only grandchild by the way she has others (although to look at the way she is with dd you wouldn?t think so). She also does things that I have said not to and when questioned about it her reply is ?Oh it wont do her any harm?. So how do I get over this. Any ideas welcome.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 12/09/2008 17:39

Right I am off to do tea. DH has just rang, he is stuck in traffic no idea when he'll be home, so I have to face the oven and (that is a green face BTW, not envy!)

Will sarnies kill them for one night?

Actually, that's not a bad idea....

xxx

lardybump · 12/09/2008 17:52

night NJ have a nice weekend. Sarnies would be a dream....

lardybump · 12/09/2008 18:00

I am going to post in realationships with this one wish me luck.....
