NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 09:08

Good morning

Huge congratulations to 2BG and Em Wow!!! So pleased for you both!!

Affraid I have read through in bits but have forgotten most of it

Gruff, lovely scan pics You must be over the moon

Did someone else have a scan? Or did I imagine it?

Teuch, hope everything has calmed down a bit?

LB, hope you are getting there with DH, you sound a bit more positive

Sorry can remember no more, sorry if I have missed anything out....

I have been making a start on what to buy for the baby, DS1 and 2's room is being sorted weekend after next (DH has booked time off work so we have a long weekend to get it done) we are off out this weekend to order the carpet, once the room is done and DS2 is in there, I can start getting his old room ready for the baby. Have seen a few different nursery ranges and can't decide which one to go for, ahhhh decisions decisions, I LOVE shopping!!

Talking of love, DS2 has muttered 'luff you' for the first time Awwwwww Does it matter he was talking to his Postman Pat van?

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 09:10

Morning

Ds went in his own room for the first time last night, he slept like a log. I on the other hand was tossing and turning all night, I hate it when I can't sleep!

Looking gloomy here today, will probably rain at some point.

Tink - if it's any consolation, I know where my tweezers are and my eyebrows still look awful... must get round to that

Diege - shame indeed it's not ov time, maybe you could get some practice in anyway . That commute sounds awful, I used to do 1 and a half hours and that was bad enough, bet your glad to be home today!

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 09:14

NJ - Ooh I love shopping! Which nursery ranges have you been looking at?

Awwwwwww at your ds saying 'luff you' even if it was at the van lol

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 09:19

Morning Dal

The weather is very changable here, has been raining, then got sunny, but it is clouding over again now. Quite breezy (but then it always is here)

I have narrowed the ranges down to either Zanzibar or Barn Yard Just can't decide which, the furniture we are getting is Oak, so that isn't going to be the decider. Like I said decisions, decisions, it's a hard life!!

emmahasaBFP · 11/09/2008 09:31

morning everyone. hope everyone is well. i am so tired i could sleep forever!
NJ i hqve looked at the nursery ranges and i like the barn yard? did you find out you were having a boy?? think you did but my entire memory seems to have disappeared!!

going to see doc tomoro morningso i can go on midwife list. my dates make me 6 weeks today however CBD makes me 4 weeks????

Morning WILSON!!!

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 09:31

Ooh they're both lovely, think I like Zanzibar the best

Where in the country do you live that it's always breezy?

GYo · 11/09/2008 09:36

Hi Everyone
Sorry been so quiet due to work so this is only a fleeting visit

Congrats for Em and 2BG! Welcome newbies, Wilson and Xmas - this is a great thread but very addictive!

Nat- I am loving the Zanibar bedding..
Diege- 3.5hrs commute! thought mine was bad from time to time. Glad you can get on and WFH today though. Definately a shame re no ovulation- still good opportunity for a lunchtime GOF anyway!

Hi everyone else Cal, Tink, Ses, Dal and everyone else I've not said hello to...

Best slip back into the firepit of work now... bye for now

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 09:36

I really prefer the look of the Zanzibar one (the colours are much more 'me') but I think if you put anything in the room that didn't have those same earthy tones it would stick out a mile, where as with the Barn Yard one, you'd get away with putting more bright colours in.... can't decide!!

Em, yes, he is another boy

Dal, we live in Accrington (certainly not exciting) but we are on the edge of the Ribble Valley, so are up on high ground, we tend to get more extreme weather, if it is a bit breezy down the hill it is blowing a gale up here, in the winter if it rains down the hill, it snows up here etc. Just a shame it doesn't work the other way, i.e. if it's warm down the hill, it is boiling up here!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 09:38

Morning GYo Glad I'm not the only whose been absent!

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 09:43

Ah NJ I see. I just had a look on google map, it's not far from Halifax (I lived there when I was little). I'm all the way up in Berwick upon Tweed now though, just before Scotland! We get a sea breeze here, can be freeeezing in winter.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 09:54

I don't know where Halifax is LOL We are just down the road from Blackburn if that's any help?!

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 10:10

It's in west Yorkshire, about 40 miles from you

2beautifulgalsandabean · 11/09/2008 10:18

Morning everyone

Diege- lunch out sounds good, tis a shame its not ovulation, however ain't you due to test soon
tink- raining here too!!! wish the weather would make up its mind.
NJ- i love the zanzibar range.
Dal- well done on getting DS in own room for the night.
Cal- hope DS is ok today? Might be teething?
Em- i'm feeling tired to but might be because i can't sleep waking up around 4am getting excited about POAS again just to make sure!
Welcome to Wilson

I have just phoned the co-ordinator of the trial i was on to tell her i was preggers after 1st cycle. i couldn't stop saying thank you likeshe was the reason! I do believe the CBFM helped, shame i have to now post it back could of shared it around the wagon!
Did another IC test and yep still BFP darker than yesterday and i caouldn't holf of any longer i did the CB with conception thing and it said... PREGNANT 1-2 weeks. I got so excited when i actually saw the word. I shoved it in DH's face. He just said what is that? Then he laughed and said are you going to show me a stick every day until you have that baby!
I just still can't believe it, AF isn't due until tomorrow, so once that has passed i think it might sink in more
Got a massive bump on my head where i wacked it under the stairs last night. I screeched out in pain, the kids came running whilst i lay on the side board. It bloody killed. DD1 said shall i rub your head mummy?

Anyway think i might take a trip over to Morrisons as DS and Wii games are reduced.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 10:20

Oh yes, I remember, saw the signs while we were on the way to Skipton Castle.

Think I am leaning towards the Barn Yard one, and then as soon as I think that I think, no we'll go with the Zanzibar collection and be careful what else we put in the room, then I'm back to thinking the Barn Yard will be a lot easier.... I only have a couple of weeks to think about this y'know!! LOL

Anyone want cake? T'is chocolate

calsworld · 11/09/2008 10:26

NJ, I prefer the barn yard one, and its for the reasons you give, remember that other people might buy him stuff too and BY would be easier to hide match things in with, imo

DS has been poorly all night, very high temp and panting away, just cuddles too tired for anything else (he's on my lap so typing sig. hampered!) - apart from calpol / calfen shoukd i be doing anything?

calsworld · 11/09/2008 10:38

NJ, where do you get this stuff from? As in which shop as its not available on line is it?

2bg, sorry about your head!

Diege · 11/09/2008 10:48

I like the Zanzibar one NAT . But then I tend to go with things on impulse and 'gut feeling', rather than being practical (hence now trying to match things to dd3's lime green shoes )I wouold thing along the lines of getting all I could get in the Zanzibar collection (not all at once of course), then if things needed adding, maybe get them in browns and creams? Just another voice to add to your confusion! .
CALS - poor you and ds I think calpol is the way to go - maybe a cool flannel if he's feverish, lots of fluids etc Hopefully just ba 24 hour thing .
You sound in good spirits 2BG - may grill you about the CBFM thingy if I have no luck in a month or two..or would you say it's a good investment come pay day?? AF is def on its way, as getting classic menstrual migraine, spot on time wise for weekend af . Not at all surprised, as missing ov (I think?) wouldn't have helped, plus I get another month (at least) to get this fertility diet cracked. Still feel a bit flat though..think it's hitting home a bit now the new term's started at work that I don't have what I thought I'd be having come Feb to look forward to iyswim?
Anyway, got to look forward . Oh and TINKS I now have gorgeous eyebrows after your post inspired me to dig my Tweezerman's out .
Haven't heard from SES on here for a few days. Hope things are OK and you're managing not to worry too much

Dalrymps · 11/09/2008 10:48

Cake for me please mmm

Diege · 11/09/2008 10:56

Go on then toss the rest of that cake over to me then

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 11:46

Sorry furniture arrived for the play room Sooo excited to get all their crap and junk toys and bits away

Cal sorry DS is poorly, the only other thing is to make sure he is drinking enough, don't worry about food if he isn't fussed, just juice. Best thing is full sugar cordial with an extra added tea spoon of sugar if he starts to get a bit dehydrated.

Re. the nursery stuff, you can buy it from independant on-line shops Andy's Linens and Precious Little One have a lot of it in stock. Think I will go with the Barn Yard, I really want to avoid another blue room, but it hasn't got too much blue in it has it? And although I really like the Zanzibar one (could have it in my room!!) it not very baby-ish is it? Will probably change my mind 1000 times before we order it.

Think I'll have my cake now before getting started on the play room

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 14:19

Play room's done, well as done as it can be with me putting things in, and DS2 promptly pulling it all back out again Just got his follow up eye appointment through for next Wednesday, oh what fun...!

tinkhasanactivebean · 11/09/2008 14:30

our house is only up for sale wth graham and co for another 3 weeks then we are going to leave it and stay here.

tinkhasanactivebean · 11/09/2008 14:34

does anyone else eat unhealthy.
i am not very good with fruit and veg.
i dont eat any fruit but drink ribena and other fruit squash and i only eat brocolli.
for meals in the evening we eat pizza a couple of times a week, chicken goujons, filled pasta.
know i am pregnant and dh is moaning @ me to eat mackarel and lots of veg etc does it really matter?
i ate no different when pregnant with dd i have always been fussy

cantwaitforxmas · 11/09/2008 14:48

I thought that since we aren't going to start ttc until Dec/Jan this would be a great time to improve diet/exercise/etc. Also am a couple of stone overweight and hopefully losing some of that will make ttc quicker (or at least be an excuse to go out and buy some lovely new underwear to encourage lots of GOFing ) . Gave up coke yesterday (I drink gallons of the stuff) and have had terrible headaches all day so feel like I want to go home (rather than gym) and eat some lovely comforting choc. Oh well......
