yeah!! you'll be stocking up on colouring books etc if it gets worse... but hopefully if all your having is dry retching at 8/9wks then i dont think you'll actually BE sick now... and trust me- its better to just feel sick and dry retch than being sick!! haha!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 08/09/2008 20:19

right i'm off, DH is on his way home... then its bed for me at 9pm!! haha!!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 20:28

yeah hopefully wont get too much worse! night then!

calsworld · 08/09/2008 20:36

Hi all, sorry to hear you're all feeling so poorly...but for all your lovely pg chat. I'm finding your pg's as groaningly slow and painful as you I think...and I'm being genuine, I promise! I can't wait to see more fab bump scan photos!

I had a lovely afternoon at the hairdressers, and really love my new haircut! Very unusual, it normally takes me a good couple of weeks to get accustomed to it...one of my friends from work popped round this afternoon and she thinks its fab too (and she'd def. tell me the truth ). She also brought a box of Thorntons for me and DH to share tonight!

Diege, I bought a book on running, a new pair of trainers and a super clamp-em-down bra and started running, then got really poorly and never made it back 'on the road', but in the meantime I was told that going from zero to a running 'training' programme could have a negative impact on ttc. I'm kind of keen to get back out there though as I'd made a really good start and had started to feel the benefit, which has now well and truly been undone . Maybe I'll even make tomorrow my first attempt....

What I'd really like, is for there to be some kind of 'fitness buddy' program, where fit, energetic, motivated people 'pair up' with those in need of exercise and motivation, and work out and share a training programme until the fat person is fit, then they can pair up with another fat person until everyone if fit. All for free of course, just for the pure love of exercise, and health and friendship.

Back to the real world Cal!

And having just eaten chips and battered sausage for tea, I'm going to wash it down with some Thornton's choccies .

What can I say.....diet starts tomorrow?

GYo · 08/09/2008 20:40

Hi Cal- I was just wondering how your afternoon at the salon went!

Good to hear you enjoyed youself.

What are your plans tomorrow?

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 20:52

Evening ladies - Cals: haircut sounds great. I really need a haircut - havent had one in 2 years

and Thorntons chocs - YUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMM!

Chuck us one over

calsworld · 08/09/2008 20:57

Ummmm well, I haven't really made any. DS has a swimming lesson in the morning which DH and I normally both go to, I go in the water and DH takes DS after the lesson to get dressed so we can get out as quickly as possible as normally we both have to get back to work...

Am thinking I can probably manage it but it feels a bit weird, just because its a bit of a return to 'normal life' and I've been very cocooned these past 10 days or so.

I don't know what to do in the afternoon... maybe just come home and do some tidying and organising. Our bedroom is a bit of a tip as there's not enough space for all our clothes but it would be nice if I could get at least some of them put away in readiness for the new mattress!

I've got a bit of washing to do as well.

I know these sound quite mundane but I haven't really been managing the basics and need to get going in small steps. I've found my concentration has been all over the place since the mc, like my brains not fully engaged (DH would say that was normal ) but I'm hoping that building 'routine' back up will help get past that, ready for the manotic life that is being me.

How are you doing? How's work? How's bump?

calsworld · 08/09/2008 21:01

Evening gruff - ooooh, do you know, in the time it took me to write that I've eaten 4!

I'm such a piggy!

Here - have a 'Caramel Divine - Deliciously soft and creamy caramel truffle surrounded by a double layer of milk chocolate and ruffles of white chocolate' (I've got two so I can spare one!)

I can't quite get over what a good job the hairdresser did - the lady that did my eyebrows even managed a 'wow' when I came back in. It probably helped that I hadn't washed my hair before going . I have naturally very dark hair and had some quite light highlights that had grown half way down my head (don't tell anyone on the style and beauty boards!), she's put in some darker browns / coppery tones and it looks fab! Its also shorter than I've had it for a long time too - DH was a bit surprised!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 21:05

Thanks Cals - how did you know I was a caramel girl?
Delish

Im now demanding DH goes on a choc run

Hair sounds lovely btw

GYo · 08/09/2008 21:15

Hi Cal

Its sounds like a nice day of getting things done. I quite like days like that.
Hope the swimmings is ok... maybe its good to go out if your DH and DS are there with you too...

Those chocs sound yum, please chuck me over one without any nuts!

Im ok thanks for asking- still knackered all the time so work is hard going, though Im currently applying to officially work from home 2 days a week. Which means less commuiting with will really help. Bump or roll of fat (more accurate description!) is good- still cant quite register that with what will come out of me, but Im sure that comes in time!

Hi Gruff!

calsworld · 08/09/2008 21:32

Lol GYo, I remember getting in the shower occasionaly and thinking shit! I'm getting fat, and then thinking, oh no, its a baby!! LOL!

Lucky you Gruff to have a DH that will do a choccie run! To be fair, mine is pretty damn good to me too, aren't we lucky .

GYo, How do you fancy a 'Milk Manon - Luscious chocolate caramel mousse on a bed of smooth praline wrapped in creamy milk chocolate'

That's kind of what I was thinking about the swimming - and a good excuse for a lounge in the bath when I get home - purely to wash the chlorine off, of course!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 21:57

Ooh sorry got side-tracked! Just been speaking to my bro in law who may have found us a new car! Watch this space!

swimming sounds good Cals - go for it!

My belly seems to have expanded quite a lot! Especially at night after last meal. I look about 5 months gone. Its very funny! Luckily its not too noticeable in the day although a couple of people have commented.

DH is now saying he cant do choccy run as he has to wash up. Cant he do that after?

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 21:59

Yikes - I just realised I havent moved from the sofa since I got home from work at 6pm! I am soooooo lazy. Must go to the loo!

Back in 5!

Dalrymps · 08/09/2008 22:00

Hey everyone, wow this thread has moved fast since I was on this morning!

Cal - Glad you like your new hair do, I love gettin my hair cut, always feel so much better with my hair swishing about and perfectly blow dried

I can't remember much else

Erm, those of you who are feeling sick, I hope it passes soon.

I've forgotten to take my temp for the last 2 mornings, it's a good job i'm not ttc for real yet!

Well, i'm just babbling and saying boring stuff so i'll be back tomorrow when I have something more interesting to say!

night all x

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 22:04

Hi and g'night Dal!

Dalrymps · 08/09/2008 22:13
Grin
calsworld · 08/09/2008 22:33

Evening Dal

Have to say that's why I never threw myself into temping, I just didn't trust myself to remember on waking that I was supposed to take my temp - and normally first waking is going to rescue DS (he doesn't really need 'rescuing', he just makes it sound like he does ...every morning!!!)

Am off to bed now, catch up again tomorrow.

G'night all x

GruffaloSoldier · 08/09/2008 22:55

Yep I am on my way to bed too, Gnight!'see' you tomorrow!
