Afternoon all,

I'm clockwatching - I swear it's going backwards!! Just counting down the time till I can go home...roll on 4pm

MAF Happy birthday to your DP

I hope there's more BFPs on this thread real soon - it's been really lucky so far

DH and I are off to a baptism on the 2nd, for our godson's little brother. So that's quite exciting. I've taken the Friday off work so I can have a nice long weekend....not long now

OMG I must tell you about a progam I watched at the weekend, DH had sky+'d it for me. It was a Dawn Porter program, Dawn has a baby - or something like that. I thought I was pretty clued up about what happens.....NO!!! It was really interesting but there were lots of shocking moments in the program - mainly involving scissors
DH was telling MIL that it had almost put me off ttc (she's still in the dark) and she was trying to reassure me that you forget the pain

wildfig · 22/09/2008 17:23

Hello! No BFP for me, sadly - AF definitely here, a day early. But looking on the bright side, doing the temp thing is actually quite satisfying: you can see what's meant to be happening, and plan around it. At least I know I'm ovulating, which is something. (When I had my fibroids removed, the surgeon gave me a sheaf of pics from the operation, and frankly I'm amazed my wee womb is still functioning at all. It looked like a cornish pasty by the time they'd finished the stitching. Sorry. TMI) I was told, repeatedly, by everyone, that it would take at least six/eight months to get pregnant 'at my age' (thanks), so haven't been expecting anything to happen this side of Christmas. But have my fingers crossed for summerbird and BSL - Vix, aren't early AF symptoms meant to be a classic pregnancy sign??

wishinanhopin · 22/09/2008 17:28

Hi Girls.
Kind of down today....Mondays suck! Took my first ever pg test and BFN. It's only my first month on clomid, so I'm not going to let myself get down about it! Although, I had tricked my mind into hoping my clomid symptoms were indeed pg symptoms. Alas, back to the drawing board. Was away this weekend and go some trampy redshoes (DH has a shoe thing) LOL. So I had to laugh when my girlfriend said, if you're not pg now you will be when DH see those.
Baby dust to all
xoxox

summerbird · 22/09/2008 20:42

HI girls, wildfig about the AF evil witch, but it is good that you are getting to know what your temps are up to, so well done on the positive attitude!

wishin also about the BFN but yay about the foxy red shoes - my DH loves the colour red so i would be in there too

bluestarlavender · 22/09/2008 23:25

Hi guys,

Wildfig - sorry about AF!! But I'm glad you're temping!! I'll post my home chart tomorrow so you can see what mine's looking like. I like the charting. It realyy helps with letting me know when AF is due, as I have quite irregular cycles.

Summerbird and Vix - it's down to you guys now! And me too, but I am not feeling very in the running at all. Some one has to get a BFP this cycle, it's in the stats! Good luck guys!

Wishin I totally agree about Mondays sucking!! I'm sorry about the BFN too! Are you doing anymore clomid cycles?? I heard 3 was a standard start...?

Anyhow, off to bed now, Very tired. Been out playing target golf...have any of you guys done this?? It's like bolwing, but with golf.

More tomorrow.

Hi guys, can I join your lovely group please? I've been lurking around MN for a while now but we are now officially entering the TTC phase as I had my IUD removed this morning. Woohoo! I'm so excited! You might have guessed I haven't done this before

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 12:03

Hi Questions and welcome!!

It'll be lovely for you to join us! I had my IUD out 3 months ago. Hope it wasn't too painful for you. It hurt me a little bit.

It's a really lovely gang on here!

Goodluck with the TTC!

questions2008 · 23/09/2008 12:19

Ooh thank you BSL! It was a teensy little bit of pain, not even a good period cramp, so I survived!

I've read enough here to know not to expect things to happen quickly but I just can't help it, now that we've decided we are ready I want my baby now!! I'm sure this enthusiasm will wear off eventually.

Any ideas on a fertility boosting, libido increasing meal I could cook up to celebrate??

Vix67 · 23/09/2008 12:23

Morning Everyone,

Welcome questions , this a fantastic thread!!

Sorry wildfig about ur AF and wishin about ur BFN. I am on clomid too , am about to go onto my 3rd month. The symptoms are a nightmare!!

Well I really think I'm out this month, I have started spotting today which is exactly what happened last month before my AF.
I felt really down about it yesterday but have picked myself up and am going to try and stay positive for next month!!

I am at Amsterdam at the weekend so at least if AF does arrive I can have a good drink!!

BSL i have tried joining FF but it says there memberships are full, but it does say if I know someone who is already on there, they could recommend a friend and I should be able to join?? Would you be kind enough to try that for me please??

I have been temping all month and its really interesting. My temp has dropped right back down this morning so I think thats a sign AF is due?!

xx

Hello all,

I've been ttc for 3 months now and have been charting for the last month.

I'm 8 dpo and have really weird cramping (ach) in my lower abdomen. I have some symptoms but don?t know whether its all in my head.

My legs are aching, feeling nauseous and incredible moody, I?m sat in work writing this and feel like ripping someones head off. My bb seem a little tender but not as tender before AF.

Do you think these are signs of being pregnant or am I?m holding onto every niggly pain/ach I can.

summerbird · 23/09/2008 12:57

Okay a better update:

Vix - if your temp has dropped it could be AF on her way. But you never know, I've seen other people have a temp drop right near the end of their cycle and then it spikes back up and they get a BFP!!

Michelle - welcome!! Fingers crossed for you!! We are hoping for another BFP on this thread soon! Don't be tempted by the evil pee-on-a-sticks yet though, I'd wait til AF is due.

Summerbird - no symptoms either here! Onwards and upwards!

Questions - lots of people are successful in their first month...but lots aren't! I hope you are lucky. Anyhow we'll all be here to help you through. I have to say my first two 2WWs were awful! I was a lunatic!

Anyhow, off to grab some lunch.

hi girls and hello michelle and question!

Ok I have a question. I have confided in a friend about TTC as she was on the same injection as I was for a long time and has a lovely little girl. Thing is she had worried me a little now. Out of 3 others she knows that were on it 2 had AF return quickly but it took a yr to conceive (I expected that though) the other lady didn't have AF return and waited and waited and when she finally went to the doctors she had to have test done and there is a problem and she needs fertility treatment.

What should I do?? Should I hold in the initial 6months I said or should I go to get tested?the other thing was I am very wary of my doctor. Without sounding to stupid, any ladies that have had any tests done would you mind telling me what they do? I'm ok with blood tests and urine tests but anything else scares me a little hope you can help me if not I know you will at least calm me down which is why I love you all!! -

crunchynutter · 23/09/2008 17:40

also vix it wouldn't let me on FF either! I gave up though as I have no AF to chart LOL. See I can see the funny side of all this...

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 17:50

Crunchy - I'm also happy to recommend you for FF! Just whizz me your email...

As for AF, I was wondering if you ever tried that herbal remedy to bring back AF and normal cycles? I know I mentioned it a while back and you said you weren't keen.

I would pop and see your GP! They might do something. Our GP was fine about testing DH's sperm after only TTC for 2.5 months. (Still no results, but it's only been a week) But I do know that some GPs make you wait for while, for AF to come back, for TTC, etc etc. In that case I think it might be worth giving the supplement a go. Lots of people on this site recommend it....

I hate hormonal birth control! I am so sorry you're having trouble!

thanks BSL! You really are a star! I was that concerned about not getting pregnant for so long that I think I just didn't really think about when I stopped taking it! Ironic really!

I have got the details wrote down somewhere but Can you remember what it was called by any chance? My DH is reAlly anxious about getting doctors involved so I might try the herbal remedy for a month before bothering the doc! The whole MC thing I read on it scared me but it's got to be worth trying it for a while! I have tried switching to green and herbAl 'Teas and Although I am in the healthy weight for height I am thinking of joining weight watchers online to improve my diet! I just feel useless not knowing what cycle I am on or anything! It's frustrating no mAtter how much I try to forget about it!

crunchynutter · 23/09/2008 18:05

it's half term in 5weeks so I may go to casually see the doctor then-at least it would have been 4/5months then xx

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 18:53

Crunchy - here's the herbal remedy - agnus castus. Did you see that thread about bringing on natural AF...there's loads more ideas there. Like a teaspoon of cinnamon a day etc...I'd take a look and see if you and DH fancy any of their solutions!

The one thing I'd warn against...and just cos I think it's affected my cycle length - don't diet. Just eat healthily. I don't think dieting helps TTC. You need all the fats and protein and carbs etc for TTC and growing a baby. I think weightwatchers is great, but if you are a normally and healthy size, don't do anything drastic.

A big hello to all you lovely ladies.

I'm new to MN and my DH and I have just started TTC since August.

Vix67 · 23/09/2008 19:20

Thanks BSL I appreciate it, i am jealous of your fancy chart ha ha!!
My email address is [email protected]

Well my AF pains are killing me now and am craving sweet things, so am deof out this month. So BSL and Summerbird how are you getting on, any symptoms yet??

Crunchy i would go to the docs, hopefully it will put ur mind at rest!!

Welcome michelle i hope the symptoms are PG symptoms, i will keep my fingers crosses for you!!

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 19:34

Hi,

Vix - invite sent!! Hopefully FF will behave for you now...it's been very helpful for me.

Tobe - hi! and welcome!! great news about starting TTC! I saw you post another thread with potential symptoms - good luck!!!

Oh, it's so nice to have some new members. I am wondering if we need a new stats list...things are getting a little confusing, plus it'll be good to let our newbies see where we all are.

I'll start ( I hope this is okay with everyone!)

Hi BSL - thank you.

I'm still not convinced I'm PG - at least I'm not allowing myself to get exciting just yet. I've just asked my DH to pick up a chicken kebab on his way home to help take my mind off it all

crunchynutter · 23/09/2008 19:44

thank you BSL! I remember well now but I haven't seen that thread. I will get some as soon as I get to the shops!

I am comforably within the 'healthy' weight bmi guide but am still about a stone mYbe half a stone heavier then I would like. My diet is atrocious though so I think if I just get into some healthier habbits I will feel better! To be honest I don't know how I'm not 20stone with what I eat!

I've just had some really awful family news though and am a little weepy. I have work to do and all I want to do is go to bed with a block of chocolate
