Also thanks hever your story makes me hopeful. and making don't feel like an ass at ALL. I feel truly blessedwith my life and know my time will come, sometimes it's just not as easy as we would like. Every woman just hopes when they're ready it will happen, but sometimes our bodies need a little kickstart.
Best of luck to all the babymakers out there, and lots of babydust to all

Good morning! It's only bloody Friday!!!! Another ridiculous good mood for me...not knocking it off course

MAF and I agree that early testing is the work of the devil. Will you try again on Sunday? Hope you're feeling ok?

I've been really good this month, and altho tempted have managed to stay strong and will test tomorrow morning if AF stays away [fingers crossed emoticon!!] I'll pop back on and let you ladies know either way....

Dawn it is really odd but our head office IS in Berkely House

Go BSL and Summerbird!!!

I agree with MAF and Hever this thread and you girls have been great, noone in RL knows about us TTC so it's great to have this outlet.

summerbird · 12/09/2008 08:56

Morning girls

dawn and saz you are sooooo colleagues!

i just wanted to nip in and send virtual hugs to MAF you are one of the coolest couples i virtually know and I soooo want you to have a mini MAF/DP/Biodaddies I think your story is fabulous and full of love. Now thats the hippy stuff out the way i am gonna tell you off for testing too early!! It sounds promising though so i would wait a week and see what happens. Your little future bean is gonna be soooo cool.

This thread is brilliant and i love you all!!

xx

Hello everyone

MAF - a faint positive - must be a good thing!

I am a bit confused as I took my temp this morning and it was 36.42 but I realised I had actually taken out the thermom before it had finished reading. So I took it again immediately and it was 36.37.

When I went to put it in FF, if I put in 36.42, it moved my ov date to CD22 rather than CD15! If however I put in my "second" reading of 36.37 (only 0.05 degrees less), it kept my ov date as CD15!

Of course I'm hoping I did Ov on CD 15 so went with the latter reading!

Has this happened to any of you?

Cheers and have a lovely weekend everyone We're actually away on hols for two weeks from tomorrow so really looking fwd to that. Contemplating doing a test on Sunday morning which if I did Ov on CD 15 would be 12 DPO - is that really silly do you think?

Linwin · 12/09/2008 11:06

Hello all,

Dawn I think you're doing the right thing re the house, you can't put your life on hold because of what may happen. Will still be scary but will be worth it when you're decorating and choosing things for your lovely new home!

Bumps and MAF take heed of the advice that early testing is indeed the work of the devil. I had very very faint line too testing at about 12dpo. Then when AF was about 3 days late I was so over the moon and convinced I was PG, only to test again and find BFN. I actually think maybe it was a CP, who knows, but definitely learned my lesson and solemly declare that I will never succumb to the early testing again.

saz definitely would wait for the Duchess to come out on DVD, the costumes were lovely and great scenery but not so hot on the story line. Glad you're in such a good mood - hope some of it rubs off on me.

So not looking forward to this weekend - seeing my SIL who has 3 boys, not jealous of her or anything at all but she only works 1 day a week and is the embodiment of perfect motherdom. Just grates with me somehow, although this weekend I am determined to be sweetness and light, be nice to everyone and make a fuss over her kids. I'm going to try anyway!

Have a good friday everyone else!

wildfig · 12/09/2008 14:59

Hello! I am just de-lurking to say good Friday! and to commiserate with the credit crunching, and to (( )) with the BFNs and also to nod sympathetically with the s. I know three pregnant women, my freelance contract renewals are looking dodgy, I don't know if we can afford to move and I've fallen out with my mum all in one week, so for the first time in ages I'm not stressing out about my sluggish ovaries! Thank God for knowing other people are in the same boat - though hopefully not all at once.

Bumps i know what you mean about Fertility Friend. It doesn't think I've OV'd this month but I reckon I have, yesterday. DH is thrilled though - as he put it, 'so, loads more swimmers needed, right?' Am not sure how much leeway there is for cold bedrooms/extra pyjamas/DH stealing duvet, etc. V confusing.

MAF fingers crossed! And step away from the wee sticks! I tested early, got a faint positive, which turned into a BFN and I hated how miserable it made me, so I vowed I'd never do it again. (Ha.) It'll be worth it when you are late and you do get a BFP...

dawn and saz are you looking at people in the lift differently now?!

makingafamily · 12/09/2008 16:24

Morning ladies

Well DP is geting me another packet of FR HPT so i had to admit to admit to peeing on the others Didnt mention the LFP (Little faint positive) and really not holding onto that. am gonna do one in the morning and one on sunday, the day AF is due. If both BFN then i'm off the pee sticks as cant afford this every month lol

summer thats a lovely message and i so want you to have a ittle summerbird

dawn and saz thats such a conincidence just think you might be able to meet up for lunch when on maternity leave

saz my cycle buddy I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow. ive got a good feeling for you and sending you laods of BFP vibes

Still sitting at home with conjunctivitus looking like i could be an extra in the elephant man and pulling my hai out with boredom ARGHHHH rant over

bluestarlavender · 12/09/2008 16:25

Wildfig - FF just needs 3 higher temps and will then let you know OV day!! If it was yesterday, it won't show up on FF for a couple of days yet.

wildfig · 12/09/2008 17:41

BSL [pulls dur face] of course! You're absolutely right. I'm so thick. I can't keep any basic technical info in my head for more than a fortnight... DH will be GUTTED.

crunchynutter · 12/09/2008 18:45

Anyways! I have had a bit of a crappy week so am going to my friends in a bit for a girly night with pizza and sing along DVD of hairspray xx

heylottie · 12/09/2008 20:05

Hello, just wanted to say 'hello' again! Like crunchynutter I find it hard to log on every day but I am following the trials and tribs of us all remotely!
It's CD7, PO 20 for me. No pregnancy symptoms except one sore boob. Went to get my day 21 bloods today ( day early natch) so we will see

Have a fab weekend everyone

DawnAS · 12/09/2008 20:59

Hey all,

I have no idea what I'm doing with this FF charting thing. I've added my chart here. What do you all think? Is this normal for Pre-OV temps? What should it go up to when it's coming up to OV time or does it only increase AFTER OV? I just don't know ...

"Here is my chart".

xx

DawnAS · 12/09/2008 21:10

So, now that's out of the way, how is everyone today?

I'm starting to feel better but I sent my boss an email earlier and he actually confessed that it had made him really tearful. Is it weird to miss your boss so much? I've only met him twice but he's funny, he's caring and he loves his family so much. At least he's accepted me as his friend on Facebook so at least I can keep in touch with him. I think it's the suddeness of his departure that's caused the strange impact on me... So sad...

Anyway, thinking that DH and I might start BDing this weekend. I'm coming up to CD11 tomorrow and normally have 35 day cycles, but it won't do any harm to start early just in case... Although my Mum did say that every other day could be too much as DHs sperm count may drop slightly.. And she had 5 of us so I guess she should know, but I was also told that every other day was fine... Oh who bloody knows!!

So Saz, if our company starts with E and has been taken over by a company starting with H, then we're definitely in the same company. Although I work from home in sunny (not) Devon, so I don't think we'll be meeting too soon unfortunately!!

If only they knew what we get up to....

Crunchy, where have you been girl? I thought gone on holiday or run away!!

So, I know that everyone has different tastes in houses, but this is the one we're hoping to put an offer on and we're doing a second viewing tomorrow and taking Mum and Dad... Hope people like it... It's not the character home that we would have dreamed of, but we like it... "Hopefully our house hope you like"

DawnAS · 12/09/2008 21:12

So, just to point out. There are 2 bedrooms on the lower-ground floor that we don't need so one will be a dining room (it's got patio doors out to the garden... lovely) and the other will be my office!!

xx

crunchynutter · 13/09/2008 08:52

aww dawn good luck! It looks lovely!the garden is beautiful! I'm sorry I disappeared for a bit. Have had a busy week at work - now I'm no longer a NQT LOL. To be honest, I've been working my ass off but it's been quite a nice week, my naughty yr 11class (they have only given me this year and I was a bit worried!) are actually ok. We've been getting on pretty good. Anyway, I am one of those geeky people who could talk about my work ALL day but I realist that that it's boring for others (as my husband keeps telling me!)

So apart from the good start back at work everything else seems to have been going wrong this week! Last Friday our lovely tv broke, that was magically fixed saturday night and then Sunday my washing machine broke as I've said before I'm a bit of a clean freak so we have been ok this week for work etc. However, my mom came round yesterday to wait for the technician. I came home from work and it was still broke!!!! I was fuming. By now I have no clean clothes and have wet towels/bed clothes to do and being me that's a nightmare!!

AnywAy, while I was practising my new swear words (very lady like ) my sister took pity on me and phoned them back and insisted they come today. They were going to come Monday when all my family are on holiday so DH woukd have to miss work and we'd lose £150 so j am really grateful for my sister! I am back and have stopped swearing now though

Dawn does your company have a D and an S in to?

crunchynutter · 13/09/2008 08:54

or too even!

saz007 · 13/09/2008 09:17

Crucnhy nice to see you and you're right too!!

Guess what? I got a BFP this morning - how happy am I??? {grin] grin]

Will be back later on I think

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

makingafamily · 13/09/2008 11:10

Saz WOW WOW WOW thats brilliant

saz007 · 13/09/2008 12:15

Thanks girls. I've been pretty tearful myself this morning - god knows why!! Have now pulled myself round and am grinning like a loon

I was awake from 4 this morning, but stayed in bed as I thought it was too early to test (why???) Had to do it at half 6 tho, just couldn't wait any longer iyswim (TMI I know! )

MAF so gutted for your BFN today. I really thought it was going to be your month. AF hasnt shown up tho, so there's still hope tho right?

Wildfig if so, it was the only symptom I had!
