Well done MAF

Ooh eth how are you getting on?? Your cycle is looking promising!!

I am really tired tonight too much bding over the weekend i think

But no rest for the wicked am going to make an effort to BD tonight just to make sure!!

Hope everyone is well xx

bluestarlavender · 08/09/2008 20:25

Hi guys,

I just wanted to keep you posted on what's going on in the Bluestar camp. We just got back from the GP...DH has to do a sperm test. So we got all the forms and pots and stuff. Although we want the results asap, you have to abstain from BDing for 48 hours. I suspect I'm going to OV any day now (despite FF saying I Ov'ed on CD9 - what nonsense ), so we are going to wait til next week to do the sample. We should get the results back in a few days, so at least we'll know quickly!

It was weird because the GP didn't know anything at all really and we have to go back to get info on the increased risk of testicular cancer etc! She was on the internet getting info (just like me really!).

Anyhow, we're are just keeping our fingers crossed that it's a normal or on-the-low-side count...at least then there's hope. Some people who have this have no sperm at all!

I will do a proper catch soon...promise!!

FYI - I'm a bad TTCer too, I have a nice glass of wine in front of me now!!

Big waves to everyone,

BSL x

BSLI have my fingers crossed everything is ok. It is good that you will have the results quickly. Waiting is a nightmare.

at my question marks on the all important list! I am crap LOL I have been working really hard now Im back at work though. It really is helping to keep my mind of lack if cycles and cute babies! I hope all you other ladies are ok anyway.

BSL you soooooo deserve that glass of vino, hang on in there girl, and i am sending you good vibes for a clean bill of health for your DH's little wrigglers

MAF i rocked it out on Sat, it was my friends DP's 48th birthday, not the usual excuse for a large significant birthday party but i have to add that they had just got a new kitchen extension built therefore the party was really to show off their newly decorated home!! anyway summerbird and her equally bonkers mates partied on till 4am, i am truly a party animal (tho not that much as i am still knackered!!) well done on updating our list and STEP AWAY FROM THE PEE STICKS

i am feeling a bit nauseous tonight and am trying to stop convincing myself i conceived last night (i havent even OVd yet!!). i am crazy

fairywing · 09/09/2008 07:41

AF arrived this morning . Feel better than i thought about it. Next month would be nice, then i can tell everyone in their christmas cards by signing then from mr & mrs fairywing and baby fairywing!

Good morning ladies. The rain hasn't arrived yet - hurrah!!!

Fingers and everything crossed that it all goes well for you and DH BSL and that the wait is a short one!! You totally deserved that glass (or two) of vino last night

Oh Fairywing that AF turned up, but that you seem to be upbeat

MAF you're a list demon!

Summerbird you party animal!! You sounded like you had a top night, good on you!

I'm meeting up with two uni mates next week for a night out, haven't mentioned that we're TTC - could be interesting!!

makingafamily · 09/09/2008 09:16

Morning Ladies

BSL everything crossed for DH's swimmers

Fairy thats pants about AF but as Saz said its good to hear you so upbeat. I think the first cycles a funny one and a bit of a learning curve, i know it has been for us

Saz "I'm on antibiotics is a good one"?

Anyone heard from Eth?

saz007 · 09/09/2008 09:36

MAF that one was actually used by my mate last year!!! Three of us met up for lunch in York last July, we ordered wine but one friend just said she'd have OJ saying that she was on antibiotics - I never thought another thing of it. Then in September we get a mail announcing her good news!! I asked if she knew when we met up and she said she'd found out the day before. She now has a beautiful DD

Bumpsadaisie · 09/09/2008 13:04

Hello everyone

I've been lurking so far but I'm in month 1 of TTC #1 and wondered if I could join in with you all?

I'm on CD22 and supposedly 7 DPO. AF would be due I guess anywhere between CD29 and CD 33 (as I said in this post, things are slowly getting back into a pattern after being on the pill!)

I have felt a bit odd this cycle since 3 DPO - nausea, metallic taste, and achey and under the weather - basically I've felt like I normally feel when AF is just about to arrive (though never get the nausea and funny taste with AF!) However this is v likely to be psychosomatic as I'm so excited about the whole thing!

Anyway nice to meet you all and good luck everyone,

Bumps x

Lots of symptom spotting going on so I hope we get some more BFP's this month. Even though I am CD14 I know I am nowhere near OV - think its going to be another long cycle!

Was at home over the weekend and spent some time with my neice who is 18 months and just adorable and even though she doesn't see me very much I got lots of hugs and kisses - made me want one even more if possible!

Good luck to everyone testing soon. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

eth37 · 09/09/2008 20:17

Hi everyone and MAJOR APOLOGIES for my absence!! Work has literally been bonkers, I have not had a spare minute. Also enjoying my gorgeous new cat!!! He is called Carlton and is an absolute cutie - I am soooo maternal, I can hardly leave the house without worrying about him!! Well, got AF last Tuesday so am now on CD8. Yuck. And had HEAVIEST AF ever. V annoying. How is everyone?? Am so not used to 5.30am starts anymore. Gross. Hope you guys are all well - Summerbird am ridiculously impressed you can party til 4am!! I was asleep at 9 last night!! x

summerbird · 09/09/2008 21:24

fairywing i know exactly how you feel as i was v upset last month but a bit more philosophical this month, well done you and keep up the optimism

saz the antibiotics is a classic and people dont usally like to press you on it in case it is a bad case of thrush or something however your cover may be blown if your mates are onto it from last year. maybe you could try saying you have a hangover from the night before? and if you are with them for two nights you could just take it easy on day two...? will ponder with you

bumpsadaisie hello and WELCOME!!! i love your name! we are all lovely on here and i so remember the hyper excitement of the early cycles, and so will completely understand if you talk youself into pregnancy - like constantly!

hiya MAF yoghurt-pot-tastic waves to you!!

linwin i am on CD13 and no sign of OV yet which is odd as i am usually on a short cycle, we will be on the 2ww together

welcome back eth and believe me i can only do crazy partying once every 6 months now!!

where are all of our fully proficient frolickers?? havent heard from flirty hever or bubba for a while although i think flirty and bubba are on hols (not together!!)

hi to boni (where is boni too, havent heard from you for a few days?) BSL wildfig dawn michaela vix we soooo need to get a playlist together for our xmas party, my choice is Slade and I wish it could be xmas everyday!

Bumpsadaisie · 10/09/2008 10:00

Thanks everyone for your welcome

I have got two tests at home but not sure when to use them (pretty sure CD23, 8DPO is far too early though!)

When do you think I should test?

Cheers everyone and good luck

saz007 · 10/09/2008 10:24

Good morning all,

I'm in a ridiculously good mood this morning, no idea why as I'm at work, but I'm not complaining

How are we all today???

Bumps to quote the wise words of Summerbird STEP AWAY FROM THE TEST

Eth Helloooooo!! Sorry that AF got you this time hun Happy to hear about your new addition tho, will you be posting piccies??

I have to say I'm more of a dog person but unfortunately I dont really have the lifestyle to have my own yet, so I have to make do with a dog-in-law

Sooooo many Christmas songs to choose from....Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, White Christmas, Last Christmas, All I want for Christmas is Yooooouuuuuu....and the best christmas song EVER Fairytale of New York by The Pogues

summerbird · 10/09/2008 11:01

saz i am sooo with you on the best xmas song ever. i once did that on karaoke with a bloke i went to school with. the irony was i have red hair (a la kirsty) and he was completely hammered (a la pogues), it was hysterical. best song ever.

i am in a good mood too and have no idea why! DH is going out tonight so i have the house to myself to finally complete that application form.

happy days

BubbaP · 10/09/2008 16:32

Hello ladies

Hope you're all well!!

Arrived back from our hols in the early hours of this morning so I'm having a lazy day with my DH and our little bean!

We had a lovely relaxing holiday despite two minor scares: spotting became slightly heavier after the flight out, and then I thought I had food poisoning on the last day. Turns out that it was the start of the morning sickness!

I didn't really 'feel' PG at all until about 48 hours ago, but now there's no mistaking the symptoms - nausea, bloated feeling and heart burn!! I've hardly eaten anything over the last day and a half.

Back to work tomorrow and hoping I can keep my PG quiet as I'm feeling so rough!

I've also had my 1st appointment with the midwife confirmed for 2 weeks time! It all feels very real now!

Hugs to all those whose AFs have arrived and fingers crossed for some BFPs this month!!

x

saz007 · 10/09/2008 16:36

Hey BubbaP good to have you back and glad to hear you had a good relaxing holiday!

Also, glad to hear that the scares turned out ok.

Soo excited for you so I'm glad it's feeling real now

summerbird · 10/09/2008 18:59

hoorah bubba welcome back, i am really excited for you too, even reading your symptoms got me all giddy (not in the same way as you though!)

right if anyone catches me on here tonight then tell me off as i am supposed to be completing my application form!

DawnAS · 10/09/2008 19:26

Hey all,

Sorry to bring the mood down but I've come on here to have a good moan - so apologies in advance .

Our company was bought-out by another big company a couple of weeks ago and today, out of the blue, my boss got given a compromise agreement. Basically Compulsory Redundancy but with no notice. They turned up at his house this morning and took his work phone, laptop, printer, everything. Another one of our team has had the same thing happen. So I really don't know where this is heading. I'm paid a really good salary (putting it into perspective, about £20k more than I would get if I did the same job down in Devon) and work from home, but if I lost my job, I'd have to drop by loads to get a job down here. And we're supposed to be buying our first house and have seen something we like. So this couldn't have come at a worse time. My boss was so great aswell, was so caring and considerate when I had the MC and I just have no idea (if I'm lucky enough to keep my job) who I will be working for. I'm so upset.

On top of that, I really thought I was still PG as AF only lasted about a day and wasn't very heavy. Boobs are really sore and loads of twinges and loads of odd aches and twinges "down there". Not quite cramping, but definitely odd twinges. So I used my free Clearblue PG test after lunch today and it was negative. I guess that's a good thing though in these uncertain times.

Now when I went to see that Psychic lady, she told me that there would be massive changes at work but that I would be fine and would always have a job with them if I wanted one. But I just can't seem to stop worrying

Sorry to be such a moaner!!

Anyway, yes, Fairytale of New York is the best Xmas song, actually my Dad and my Sister (who is a professional singer) sing it really well!! I always request it by them at Xmas.

Me
xx

summerbird · 10/09/2008 20:36

first of all ladies dont tell me off for bein on MN - but am having a break and dawn needs some tlc!!

god dawn that is terrible, first of all your poor boss having that experience this morning! i am really sorry to hear that but typically you dont know what is around the corner at work, you might get kept on (if psychic lady is anything to go by!)

to put it into perspective, DH got made redundant at xmas (office shutting down in Manchester) and he did some contract work with the NHS for a few months before they took him on permanent and now he is being headhunted from another dept for promotion.

now i say all this to make the point that sometimes these things happen for a reason, is it conceivably possible that you could even get a promotion out of this? my lickle sister works for Northern Rock as a PA to one of the directors and both she and her boss got promoted together after we were all worrying about her losing her job.

i am keeping my fingers crossed that this all works out for you, is crap about the BFN but again in a months time you may have more stability at work and feel a little more settled.

easy for me to say but try not to worry too much and given the BFN i think you deserve a glass of vino!

take care x

bluestarlavender · 10/09/2008 22:35

Dawn - I am so sorry, hun!! You sound like you're going through the wringer at the minute! That's awful about your boss and colleague! I can't believe that's any way to treat an employee.

But don't worry about you just yet...it sounds like if you were also up for redundancy it would have happened today. I know it's easier said than done though.

I am also sorry about the BFN!! I know it feels rubbish!

BSL x
