Hi Everyone,

Well i had a little blip this morning and done a test and got a BFN BSL you made me feel better knowing that you have done the same lol. My AF isnt due till around Sunday so it was a bit early and it was only a cheapie test from online. But am still getting AF pains so am feeling down in the dumps today!!

Dawn we done our extension last year and it was so stressful, so good job didnt fall pg last year really, we now say we wished we had moved!! It will be great for you to get a nice new house hopefully in time for Christmas!!

MAF I am thinking about buying the clearblue fertility monitor, are they good??

Summerbird you have made me laugh about the fried egg story!! My mum made me aboiled egg the other day and it was a bit watery so I gave her it back and said just incase Now that is sad!!
My poor mum knows everything about my cycle probably more than my DP!!

Anyway must get on with some work, big hello to everyone and a massive good luck to Hever , Bubbap, BSL and Moi here's praying AF stays away and BFP's for all!!

Summerbird - love my name change! Think I will be Flirtymamma if we get as far as a successful 12wk scan!
I have concluded this morning that I am still in disbelief. I thought DH would be scraping me off the ceiling with excitement...but no. I'm as cool as the proverbial cucumber. I don't think my brain has computed that this might really happen. That I might be having a 20wk scan before Christmas. It's just too mad!?! I think I feel how most men feel...very little until they actually see the heartbeat on the monitor...

I would LOVE an early scan...but that's not an option for me. Couldn't really afford a private one, and no reason at the moment for the NHS to offer me one. Will just have to be patient and keep thinking positive thoughts.

I'm really pleased that I've got an extended business trip (3weeks starting on saturday) and a wedding before my scan as it will keep me off this site and constantly thinking about baby stuff!

Hi Vix This is my first cycle using the Clearblue so not much to report yet but will keep you posted Easy for me to say but try not to worry about the BFN, and fingers crossed for a BFP for you

MAF - meant to say...I used Preseed this month...maybe worth a go? Those little wrigglers need all the help they can get it seems...
Don't know if it was what did the trick for me...but I'd use it again...

Yes - it's 'sperm friendly'! All other lubes are actually toxic to sperm. It is sort of a glorified pipette of lubricant. You insert one end inside you and squeeze the bulbous end and it deposits the stuff inside you...apparently the sperm can't get enough of it!

i also ordered one of those free clearblue pregnancy tests, although i am refusing to test until i am late so i might not get any use out of it before October!

MAF & Summerbird - I don't think you can buy it in the shops. Think it's online only... Came the next day when I ordered it...

Summer i just called half the chemists in Hackney and nothing (I'm in the office so was whispering down the phone lol) But the little Boots said that the big Boots stores stock it so might be worth phoning your local one.

I know have 3 co-parents scaouting every Boots in East London. What has become of us lol

Hehe!! MAF - PMSL!! Although, I do completely understand.

I know this sounds really weird, but my Taking Charge of Your Fertility book does actually suggest using egg white as a substitute. I'm not too sure about this, but I've double-checked and it really does suggest it on page 174! Personally, I wouldn't bother with lube, if you can't get pre-seed..I would just go for it!

BSL it also says that in my Lesbian Conception and Pregnancy Book so if we can't get any then egg whites it will be! As DP said to me the other night the joke

"so madam how would you like your eggs............fertilized or unfertilized"

I'm kinda seeing this month as a tester run, as my cycles all a bit out of whack and its our first time trying so knowing us four i'm imagining we're gonna make a bit of a mess and just have a bit of a laugh with it to be honest. Its all good bonding time for us as a family

I am actually feeling very odd! I think my AF is just about to start cos I've been getting weird cramps all day and actually thought it had started about an hour ago, but I also feel sick too with a touch of heartburn in to the bargain! I don't feel very good at all! This has been going on for a few days and I keep burping (sorry for TMI). I'm pretty sure it's not a symptom, and AF is coming, but of course I still have a tiny weeny bit of hope that it's something.

Off to pack for tomorrow, yay!!

Summerbird - I'm going to be stern now and say - Do not do what I did and get over-excited if anyone gets a BFP this weekend and test early!! Sticks-you-pee-on are still the devils work and should be avoided until AF is really due!!

P.S. I am having a lovely glass of wine too! I have been so good and not had anything for four weeks! My new philosophy is no BFP, no ban on alcohol!

seriously i will do my best, i am quite good at the waiting game at the moment so will hang on in there. And i completely concur with your philosophy!!

I know we discuss luteal phases on here but i go a bit glazy eyed, so am trying to catch up on that now, - am i right that the luteal phase should only last 14 days, ie 14 days after ovulation should be AF day? just coz i think i ovd 3 days eary...... ok BSL i will stop making excuses to test early now!!

Summerbird- People at my work are so nosey I can only MN when I am working from home. There are so many parents to be in my office at the mo it is silly!! I was even asked the other day "you are the next one in line to BREED arent you!!!"
