I love weddings they always make me smile!

vix I have had sore nipples for a couple of weeks now, I had convinced myself to do a test as it is meant to be a sign if pg. Unfortunately mine seems to be hormone related as I am awaiting AF to return after six years on depo provera! I am a little fed up of them at the mo though! I wince whenever my poor dog tries to cuddle me and DH is shouted at several times a day cos he 'forgets' they hurt! Are very painful!

In your case I don't know what to say, it could be an early sign of pg but it could be hormonal too if the clommid is playing with your hormones a little. Perhaps wait a week and see if you have any other symptoms? A test won't hurt if you do as long as you don't get your hopes up too high when you test ( it reAlly is horrible when it says no )

Dawn i do the thing with the pillow too, i then rush off to the loo after about 15-20 mins to clean up then am fine after that. I will just sleep with the pillow under me in the tent!

Woo hoo Mrs MAF i have to say i am a bit tiddly on all this champagne now, altogether now:

Riiiiiide on tiiiime (do do do do do do dum)
Riiiiiide on tiiiime (la la la la la la laa)

and then little bit of

Aaaahaaahaaahaaayeeeaaaah I love ya baby I love ya baby - aaaaaahaaahaahaaahyeeeeeaaah!

(summerbird throws herself around the dancefloor like a loon )

DawnAS · 14/08/2008 17:12

Summerbird, I'm imagining you dancing and smiling through the pain of my back!! I would dance with you but it'll set me back a week again I think - so I'll have to do the virtual baby dance - like the one they used to have on Ally McBeal!!

So, I think I'm OVing at the moment. I've had the CM for the last couple of days and today, slight cramps. Last time I OVd the cramps were on my left side, this time they're on my right. Interesting!!

So I'm glad we BDd on Tuesday and we're going to BD again tonight (ouch, my poor back). It's making it rather military without me being able to move, but actually having my hips up seems to ease the pain in my back - strangely!! Don't think it'd do my lower back much good though to stay in that position all night!!

xx

summerbird · 14/08/2008 17:50

you never know dawn that position might be the one we will all be raving about for the next month! and anyway - this is a virtual world so you can boogie all you like, it wont hurt you a bit!!

eth37 · 14/08/2008 18:21

Aaaaagh. Just spoken to my mum on the phone (she does not know really that we are ttc although has her suspicions) and she said that 'cos I have been having panic attacks lately and generally have a tendency to anxiety and being neurotic she said 'I hope you two aren't thinking of having a baby any time soon 'cos you need to get yourself sorted out first' She then went on at me and said I would be a nightmare worrying about every little twinge when I was pg and then even worse when the baby was born, would be racing to the Dr every 5 minutes worrying about it..... I wouldn't mind, but my mum is exactly the same as me and was completely neurotic the whole time I was growing up which is probably why I am like I am!!! I didn't say anything but feel really upset now. What would I say if we did conceive this month?? Surely it is normal to worry about certain things? I know I do suffer from anxiety but it is hardly fair to say everyone who gets anxious shouldn't have babies. Am I over-reacting?? Sorry, need to get that off my chest, I feel really upset by it.

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 18:30

Eth don't be upset! It's completely normal to worry and fret when you're PG! I think it comes with the hormones!

I bet your mum will be worrying and fretting over the baby more than you! Although we have a tendency to follow our parents, I also think that we learned for them and often toned down the extreme behaviour we see in our parents!

My mum is very emotionally driven and I know growing up it frustrated me. I've worked hard to be more logical, although it doesn't always work! So Eth, I'm sure you're going to be just fine!!

Oh Eth, you have to love your Mums but sometimes they can be a little insensitive - I know my Mum can be. When I was PG and worried about what was happening she said "I'm so worried about what your sister will do when she finds out you're PG, she'll be devestated". Not really want I wanted to hear when I was hanging onto the little bean for all I was worth.

I will absolutely be a nervous wreck next time I get PG and that's what these threads are for. To support each other. So don't you worry love, we'll all be neurotic about being PG together, it's natural!!

Keep your chin up hun....

xx

crunchynutter · 14/08/2008 18:39

eth my mom does. Not know we are trying either but tells me at every opportunity that kids will ruin our life and we should have more sense and never have any

I had. Difficult time with my mother as a teen, she is not naturally maternal and I never felt very close to her. We are quite close now though and I can say I am like her in lots of ways however there are things about her that I know I am the complete opposite too And that is because I am consious of it. I do believe we inherit certain behavioural traits but I also think we learn from our parents and can become whaT we want.

Honestly, you are not your mother. Just think about how much you want a baby, you know what kind of mother you want to be and you can control that. Cheer up !

eth37 · 14/08/2008 18:48

Thanks girls, I love MN!! I know she wasn't trying to upset me, I think she just worries about me (!) and I have been a bit 'wittery' lately, for some reason. When I am teaching I manage to be perfectly calm, reasonable and rational at school - in fact all my teaching observations go on about how calm I am (I wish my mum could see them!) so I am capable of not being neurotic!! I think it's also that my mum would worry so much about me being pg (I am her only child and she had a horrid pregnancy, being in hospital for most of it and at one point was told to consider a termination for the sake of her health!) Thanks though girls, I really really appreciate it!!

eth37 · 14/08/2008 18:49

Dawn I take it your sister is also ttc? You poor thing when your mum said that!!! Mums, eh?!?!

crunchynutter · 14/08/2008 19:11

my sister is also TTC LOL my poor mums guns be mad if we both get pregnant! It does surprise me how thoughtless some relatives can be though. I guess I've just grown to accept it! Xx

Vix67 · 14/08/2008 19:25

eth don't worry about ur mum, she won't mean to upset you. If she had a bad time through her pregnancy she is probably just worrying about u!!

crunchy how long hav u been waiting for your AF to arrive?? i am only on day 20 and my cycle is usually between 29 - 31 days so not gonna get my hopes up with my sore nipples ha ha!! Will wait to see if AF arrives first!! Fingers crossed she doesn't (hmm) What type of dog do you have?? Mine is my baby for the time being!! x

I've been waiting 9weeks I've heard it can take 6monthz plus though so trying not to get down but I seem to have constant pmt! Lower back ache, sore (.)(.), it's not fair! Does get you down waiting! I have a Labrador (dawn does too he is definitly my baby-always will be! I think when I do find out I am pg I am going to buy a small crib and doll and train him not to jump on it cos he's that used to everything being his! That should give him about 8months too learn thAt babies aren't toys! Nobody will let me practise with their real babies for some reason xx

summerbird · 14/08/2008 19:55

eth you poor love, i agree with the girls that your mum is probably worrying about you a little too much and i think she is maybe transferring some of her own anxiety over to you, i only say this because my mum does things like this too, much as i love her i am dreading the point when we inevitably clash about how i am raising my child. you are going to be just fine honey, everyone gets anxious when PG and it will be perfectly natural.

Vix67 · 14/08/2008 20:05

Crunchy when was ur last depo provera injection?? my parents have a labrador she is gorgeous, ive got a girl staffy who is exactly the same .... thinks everything is hers!! We r quite lucky though and have my DH sisters's baby to babysit for , he is only 11 weeks!! Millie ( my dog ) is very good with him tho so that's good!! I love babysitting for him but always feel a bit down once he goes back as it reminds how much I want my own baby!! Not that i need reminding

crunchynutter · 14/08/2008 20:45

ok last injection was about 22nd of march so I was due to go 14th June but didn't obviously! We had said we would stop before and I chickened out-wish I had now!

My dog is a little excitable and tends to jump all over everyone he has calmed down a lot in the last year though so I'm sure he'll be great by the time we have our babies! I hope anyway! He is a clever boy he's just spoilt! Xx

ha ha yeah i know mine is the same, i am trying to train her NOT to jump up at everyone, but she is not really listening!!

don't worry about chickening out, you have made the decision now and what's meant to be is meant to be ... or so they say!!!!

i am starting the dreaded 2WW and all i can think is am i or aren't i??!!

Gonna log off now and give my DP some attention as think he is getting a bit jealous of MN!!

Speak to you tomorrow x

heverhoney1 · 15/08/2008 09:06

Good Morning everyone - Are the hangovers from the pink and fizzy stuff bad??

fairywing · 15/08/2008 09:39

Hi all, i'm on CD8 today and have only bd'ed once so far. From everything i've read i think next week is the important one...i think??!! We are at a wedding this weekend, i'm bridesmaid, so should be all romantic and put me in the mood a bit more, DH needs no encouragement!! So i guess we just get down to it as much as possible this next week, unless i've got that totally wrong. I have no idea how long my cycle is either which doesn't help and will make the 2ww even harder!

saz007 · 15/08/2008 09:44

Morning all,

Heverhoney virtual hangovers are the way forward!!!!

Fairywing I think you should be ok so far, just need to make the most of the next week or so. The wedding should help, will you be staying away? I've never been a bridesmaid...saying that the first wedding I went to was my own! I do love them tho

All aboard the BDing train!

fairywing · 15/08/2008 09:50

Thanks Saz, no not staying away, would have been nice but we have to get back for the dogs. I haven't been a bridesmaid since i was 2! It's my best friends wedding who is also TTC and we are kind of hoping we might be able to go through pregnancy together.

summerbird · 15/08/2008 09:55

hi there just jumping on to say bye bye till wednesday, before i go i must tell you my funny story

i went to tesco last night and felt that familiar twinge in my side (OV Pain) so as it was 3 days early i bombed it back in my little honda, threw the shopping down and dragged DH out of the kitchen upstairs, shouting 'im ovulating hurry up' bless him he didnt have a chance!! he thought it was great (thank god) and loves this new little minx that TTC has unleased!

have great weekend everyone - the sun is shining and i have my shorts on

saz007 · 15/08/2008 10:02

ROFL Summerbird!! Have a fantastic holiday not at all sitting in an office!

Fairywing fingers crossed that you and your friend get to go thru it together, that will be nice. We're not telling anyone in RL that were are TTC, altho MIL is keeping an eagle eye out for any snippet of info she can get!
