GS, KK, SQ - sorry I missed you all. DH was late home for bed so I've had to do the bed time routine....DH arrived home half way through so DS is a bit excited to see him and a bit unsettled.

Gruff - just saw your message. I had exactly that at 6wks. Had two episodes on the sat night and monday afternoon and some weird pains in my side but it was all ok.

Try not to worry though and rest if you can. As Nat said, the scan at this point wont show much but it will see if the sac is intact. I saw a big black blob with a smaller white blob inside it. I was called back 2wks later for a second scan when we saw a heartbeat.

Gruff, I'm sure you'll be fine . Bleeding at 6 weeks is so common, as as others have said brown blood is typical of implantation bleed. I had smudge of brown when pregnant with dd1 at 6.5 weeks and all was fine . With the last pregnancy (mc) my bleeding was orangy pink, not brown at all.
SES, I think what you were feeling today is totally normal and natural. Be kind to yourself and take things easy. I think it's inevitable we will feel incredibly stressed whether we get bfps or not, but try and take things a day at a time and remember you're not alone .
CALS, it's tv city here so don't feel bad! It's often on for hours on end on a Friday (plus dvds) as I feel I can get away with it as she has stimulating stuff at nursery mon to thurs. We have a Jo Jingles class planned for the friday come sept though, so will have something constructive to do!

Thanks Diege - not that I would wish mc on anyone, but I'm grateful there are some others who know what it's like and so many others who can sympathise. I think it's easy to try and put on a brave face most of the time but occassionally it will get to us. I'm here for you too!

Gruff - as everyone else has said, i'm sure it's nothing to worry about and very comon at this stage of pregnancy. Make sure you relax and put your feet up and call the docs for reassurance if you're still concerned.

Think I must be close to ovulation as I've been getting lots of EWCM today, does that happen before or during? Have been pestering dh for a GOF even though we're not ttc yet I just feel like practicing , will have to make sure no 'dipping' happens though

Dalrymps, I think day of most EWCM is day of ovulation....but NJ / Diege et al know better....

Hmm will keep an eye on it then and will add it to my chart so I can see how it relates to my temps. I can't wait to actually start ttcing!

Dalrymps - I agree with Cal. The day you have most EWCM (usually the last day of EWCM) is the day of ovulation.

Am feeling a bit better this morning and less hormonal. Am even more confused about my cycle this morning though as my temp still hasn't gone back up properly after my dip on cd16, that I thought was an ov dip. I'm now on cd18. I've been fighting off something the last 3-4 days - bit of a cough/sore throat but not really bad enough for me to be ill but have had a few small lumps of yellow phlegm (sorry if you're eating breakfast!) Does anyone know whether that would either delay ovulation or make my temps stay down after ovulation?
Whatever, I'm a bit worried that this cycle isn't working as it should. For anyone that knows temping graphs, mine is here It's the second graph down on the page.

sesq - i temped not sure what to suggest with your graph, the fact that you are ill could be delaying things and making temp low.

ses- i was actually ill around the night's where we must have conceived.... and no probs about the OPk's and HPT's... the lines on both are fairly faint so you do have to look carefully... my HPT's didn't get much stronger.

Gruff- hope all is well this morning, as most have already assured you brown isn't necessarily bad. I had brown bleeding on a number of occasions with both DC's.

Hello everyone . Slow start this morning as dh feeling ill but have eventually packed him and dd3 off so can settle down to a morning of housework and stimulating activities with dds mumsnet and waiting in for the parcelforce van. Popping into town this afternoon to dreaded bear factory, but otherwise a pretty quiet one.

morning Diege... DC's are led on the couch under a blanket watching open season... so i've got a good hour to sit on here!! My tummy is getting so firm that the skirt i'm wearing actually has to fasten under my boobs!! I'm only 5.5wks- surely this isn't right!! I look 4 mths pregnant already!!
