Morning GYO and everyone else . Hope everyone is well and feeling nice and positive, despite the rain!
Bad luck Kooky on af but here's to this month for both of us . I'm cd 3 so we're virtually cycle buddies .
Well I have a rare day to myself. dh has taken day off to take dds 1&2 to Chester, and dd3 is at nursery. Have hairdressers at 10, then I think I'll watch a bit of Olympics, then lunch, then bit of shopping and get some stuff listed on e-bay . They won't be back until 6! Bliss

This is our list, the top block is people who are pregnant (most of us have been on this thread since we were 'waiting to TTC' (TTC is trying to concieve) the second block is the people who are actually TTC'ing, and the bottom block are the people who, for whatever reason/s are waiting to TTC, the month they are hoping to start TTC'ing is next to their name.

If you scroll right to the top of the page, where all of the Mumsnet (MN) headers are, next to 'Usefull stuff' is a clickable link called 'Acronyms' if you click it, it brings up a list of most of the abbreviations.

Some of the TTC threads (and there are a few on MN) are a little bit ermmm... what's the word? Fluffy?. They are full of baby dust (supposed lucky bits of nothing that is supposed to get you pregnant - not sure how...), and people calling each other hun's, and they BD (baby dancing - basically having sex) we don't tend to do that sort of thing here, we are a bit more down to earth, and hugs are only allowed in very special circumstances, we GOF (Good ol' Fuck ) no BD'ing in here!

The only rule of the thread is that no info (no matter how personal or crude - watch that Diege, she is the worst ) is too much info, in other words we're all nosy cowbags who like the gossip Or is that just me?

I think that about covers it all, but anything you're not sure of, just ask

How is everyone today on this gorgeous August summer's morning horrible wet, grey, miserable day?

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:28

morning!! first on here in a morning, and the kids gave me a lie-in.... thats not normal- where are you all!!

MC- the list we have shows all of us who have graduated from the 'wagon' at the top, we're all wagonners who've become pregnant while here (most from around 4/5 mths ago-i think- when the wagon was first started....)
Then is has the wagoners who have fallen off and are ttc (trying to conceive) now...
Then is the wagoners who are 'still on the wagon'...

If i remember right when this was first started most of the members were waiting to start ttc, then as the weeks went on everyone started to 'fall off the wagon' and start ttc!!

after everyones names are ages, then no of children already (DC's) DS being a darling son, and DD being a darling daughter.

anything else???? just ask!!

anyway i came on here for a moan!!!....

I told my friend, who I was going to be a surrogate for before ttc myself, that i was pg, I had no reply from her and gathered she might have been a little gutted... anyway she sent me an email yesterday saying that me being pregnant wasn't settling well with her, and she didn't want to think about it as she was very hurt that i'd do that so soon (3mths after thing ended).... However, they put themselves back on the list of available couples looking for a surrogate only 2 weeks after things ended, why is she allowed to be 'looking for another surrogate and moving on, when she doesn't feel i'm allowed to move on????? ARGH!!! F*£%("g hormones!! She's really upset, hurt and angered me by saying that!!! How does she feel she has the right to say that to me when it was because of the way they treated me that I ended things!! i'm upset!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 08:29

Took so bloody long about it you know it all already!

Ooooh Diege, a whole day

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:30

gah!! and i spent so long typing i'm not the first to post this morning!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 08:33

Glask, I think this 'friend' of yours is nothing of the sort. I think unless there is a reason you need to keep seing/speaking to her, I'd just leave it. It seems to me that you were going to do the most kindest thing anyone could have ever done for them, they took it for granted, took the piss, and let it slip through their fingers, that is their fault not yours, and like I say, unless there is a reason you need to keep contact, then I'd just ignore them. You owe them nothing. Sorry she made you feel bad though, she has no right to do that.

OP posts:
SesQal · 19/08/2008 08:38

Morning!

Marie - seems like everyone else has done a really good explanation for you

Glaskham - I don't a lot about surrogacy but I know enough to know your friend has absolultely no right to tell you all that. I'm angry for you! I'm sure we could all understand her having to keep some mild pangs of under control but what you have described is just ridiculous! I hope she'll soon come to realise this.

Diege - sounds like you have a great day ahead. Make the most of it and enjoy

Well we managed our GOF last night. Fertility Friend though seems to suggest I'm moe likely to ovultate today rather than yesterday so I hope our GOFing covers us as DH is away tonight. I guess I'm officially on the 2ww though so I'm looking for a good dose of calm and patience!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:40

well i was hoping to keep in touch as she's DD's godmother... however she has my middle sister and her other half as her other godparents... I dont think she'll miss her other godmother. I told her this morning i didn't think it will work trying to keep in contact.... But i'm still hurt that she's reacted like that!!

GYo · 19/08/2008 08:41

Morning Diege, KK, Glask, Nat

How are you Nat- looking forward to tomorrow?

Im ok this morning, still knackered after my weekend up a ladder painting but other than that good. 10wks today!

Glask- thats pants about how your friend reacted- hope you can sort it out soon and not ruin your friendship... Preg hormones defintely make most things like that feel so much worse...

Sorry about TEW KK - glad you have a cycle buddy with Diege.

Diege- wow your day sounds lovely. Hope you enjoy the rest/ break am also slightly

Morning everyone else

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:43

oh and we haven't seen each other in person since, we've had one or two chats on the phone, a few texts but mainly emails... the plan was to start re-building the friendship enough to be able to keep her in DD's life, and for her to be able to come over for dd's birthday and xmas time.... but i honestly don't feel i can do that any more!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:46

sorry forgot to say am very of your day!! wish i could have a day alone, get pampered at the hairdressers and then do nothing all afternoon!!- i'm exhausted and DH is back at work for the first time in 2.5wks after his hols!!

ses- fingers crossed for you, oh and i posted the tests yesterday- dont be testing early though!!!

GYo · 19/08/2008 08:46

Morning Ses- sorry missed you there. Great news about 2ww. Got everything crossed ready for you.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 19/08/2008 08:47

was to diege- got my head in the clouds this morning!! and you wouldn't believe me if i told you how many words were underlined in red before i click on 'post'

GYo · 19/08/2008 08:47

Since the weather is so crap, maybe we should divert the wagon from the field (that is currently waterlogged) to a virtual day spa?

Im up for massage and a facial

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 08:48

Morning all of you still trooping in

Ses hoorah for GOF It will cover you for today as well, so don't worry about that So day one of the 2WW, are you testing tomorrow?

Sorry KK completely missed about your period, I think a day relaxing feeling sorry for yourself is on the cards.

GYo, yep, am very much looking forward to it thanks

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 08:50

Dur, pressed send too quickly.....

Glask, obviously it is up to you, but it doesn't sound like she is being much of a friend at the moment, I know it must be very difficult for her, but she has to realise that it is her fault, not yours.

Mmmmmmm Spa Field sounds goooooood

OP posts:
SesQal · 19/08/2008 08:52

NJ - only if the tests arrive from Glaskham
NOOOOoooo! I will start writing my lines: I will not test until 12dpo
I will not test until 12dpo
etc
etc!

GYo - I'm at an all day regional meeting today but may join you at the spa! I need my hair cut and highlights redone and I'd also like a massage with a bit of reflexology thrown in! (Hope the prices are good!)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 08:56

12DPO??????? No, 8 surely

OP posts:
GYo · 19/08/2008 08:56

OK Ses- will book you in. Im just chatting to the young boys(happen to be very attractive) who will be looking after us

LOL re not testing mantra..... we will try and keep you honest, til Nat persuades you other wise

Diege · 19/08/2008 08:58

Agree Glask, doesn't seem much of a frined you've got there. I'd leave well alone, and if she's a true friend will probably approach you in time and see how awful she's been.
GYO, virtual spa sounds sounds great . Our field is looking a bit 'Glastenbury' isn't it?
Nat, what's going on tomorrow then?? Seem to have missed that one! . Can I guess at 20 week scan???
SES, the book I'm reading about fertility ([yawn], I know probably mention it all the time )suggests actually goffing every other day anyway, even in fertile time. So you are doing this text-book styly by missing out tonight .

Diege · 19/08/2008 09:00

Oh have been meaning to post this for days. I've got some pregnancy supplements that I'm not going to use (4 sheets of pregnacare, and an unopened sanategen pregnancy. I'm using another brand and these will just go to waste. Happy to send them on free of charge if anyone wants them?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 09:01

Yep t'is the 20 weeker tomorrow morning

GYo, I'll just have a lovely long head massage please, not too bothered what the boy looks like, I will be asleep in 30 seconds flat so I'll let someone else have the nice one

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 19/08/2008 09:02

I don't have a long head BTW, well I don't think I do anyway, anyway, I meant a long massage LOL
