Thanks Star for the pie tips Agree, crumble is way better, but dds insisted it had to be a PIE so it's cooking away at the moment. Have very low hopes as had to use self-raising flour (how high can a few mls of pastry rise?!) and it also feels strange that my recipe off BBC for short-crust pastry didn't have sugar in it...hmmm, can you tell cooking isn't my forte .

Hi Nat-

It is more than a full time job, it is when DH walks in from work, the breakfast stuff is still on the side, kids have had no lunch and aren't dressed, I'm not dressed, curtains are still closed, and I have pins and needles the size of bread knives and swords in my legs from sitting on my arse all day, that you realise just how demanding a job it is!

Disclaimer: I have never ever ever done any of that. Well, very little of it. Well sometimes some of it, but I do normally manage to open curtains and throw the kids the left overs from dinner for their lunch. Sometimes.

Lol..have now told dh. He did say crapping fuck that he was very happy. Lol. Sounded a bit scared. I'm hoping he'll have absorbed it by the time he gets home tonight. Last time he just kept saying but its ok, your period is due soon. Don't know who he's trying to kid, he's delighted! Honest!

See, I'm rubbish at keeping up cos I can't mn when at home with dd, we only have a laptop at home, and she just wants to eat it whenever its out. By the time I've caught up, I'm lost usually!

It's the beauty of having more than one, they can entertain each other while I am MNing busy doing house work, not opening the curtains obviously...

Yes, you've founbd the best ttc thread on munsnet . We're a mixture of waiting to ttc for various reasons, actively ttc-ing, and duffed ttc graduates. We can be very rude (in a sexual sense rather than bad mannered (which I think is better) and have a wealth of knowledge between us. Are you sold? Oh and we don't do 'BD' (baby dancing), hugs (only in special circumstances), and certainly not 'baby dust' . TEW got me this morning. Haven't had time to be gutted really as busy packing and loading the car and then getting home and UNloading and UNpacking! One of the kittens cried/yowled the whole journey home; all 3 hours of it.... Irritable kittnes, Irritable DH and Irritable DD. Aren't we women amazing the way cope and keep calm when all we want to do is scream too???!

So, CD1 for me (right behind you, Diege!) and am currently enjoying a well-deserved very large glass of wine.
