Thanks all! Am feeling quite pleased [smug emoticon] It is a 3 bedroom place and as DH is an engineer, he's already planning a 2-storey extension to give us a bigger kitchen and a 4th bedroom with ensuite! Let's hope his bonus next June is a huge one!

Right, I mustn't get carried away and will try to stay quietly controlled until we actually get to exchange contracts!

What shall I think of instead? How about having 4 dc ! Glaskham - methinks you protest too much I always wanted to have at least 4 dc but I guess as I'm at 35 with none at the moment, that may not happen now, but who knows??!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/08/2008 13:54

well DH may be getting the snip soon to prevent any 'surprises'!!! we'd never fit 4dc in this house!!

Diege · 12/08/2008 13:54

LOL SES, yes the words 'the lady doth protest to much' also passed through my mind re: Glaskham's no.4

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 12/08/2008 13:56

I think i would happily have another but i know DH would never want more than 3!!!

I plan to do a surrogacy after dc3, then possibly look into sterilisation.

lastboxoftampons · 12/08/2008 14:13

I'm find all thanks for asking. On CD3, so no testing anytime soon. THis past month was my first on agnus castus and I definitely saw an improvement in CM - but I was away from DH at Ov time and wasn't able to take advantage. So I'm cautiously optimistic about this month...last time we conceived I had tons EWCM!

Diege an afternoon in with kiddies and DVDs sounds like heaven to me! I can't wait to be able to do that! EVeryone put on comfy clothes, blankets and hot chocolate! even if it is August!!!

Evening everyone. Guess what????

I have a little baby in my tummy..... yay. We saw all the bits that are ment to be there (and none that are not)and it was all in the correct place. Two little legs and two little arms. Baby was wiggling all over the place and had a good look at us too... So I am really pleased... Heart beat was 158bpm so I think that means its a girl doesn't it???

They would not tell me anything re necual (sp?) becuase I have to wait for blood results. I have to call friday when the bloods are back so hopefully then i can relax a bit more.... Scan lady did say the Neucal was very thin and the nose bone was very visable so that was good. (have no idea what the nose bone has to do with it though. She also placed me at 12.5 weeks but said that she wouldn't change my dates for 3.5 days.

Baby seemed much more gangley than dd. Much longer legs and arms than dd at this stage... (Lardy prays for a little one, dd was 8lb 4 and was a week early)

Lovely clothes tink... Real bargins..

Diege · 12/08/2008 17:42

Great news Lardy! Was thinking of you today . Nosebone thing is another positve sign (assuming Downs syndrome would be a negative for you, apologies if not) as it's not visible in the majority of babies with Downs syndrome (though also not visible in some 'normal' babies too). I'm sure your full results will be fine - they usually are with small fold measurement .
Right, that's me off here for this evening I think. DH due back with dd3 any minute, though he'll have to get through torrential rain and an electric storm with dd3 sat on the back of the bike! Night all, and speak tomorrow (my first 'full explosion' gof tonight post mc, gulp ).

lastboxoftampons · 12/08/2008 17:43

LB Congrats, that's wonderful news! Smiled at your 'I have a littel baby in my tummy' Such a sweet thought!

lardybump · 12/08/2008 17:53

Thank you ladies and Diege thank you for explaining the nose bone.... Hope dh and dd are ok out there!!!! And good luck tonight..

SesQal · 12/08/2008 18:12

LB - fab news! Wow, 12.5 weeks already!

Diege - have fun tonight
Did you manage to watch a dvd or 2?

GYo · 12/08/2008 20:15

Great news LB- so pleased you finally got to see your little one on the screen and 12.5wks is very exciting.

Did you get a picture ?

Evening everyone else. Having a evening of not feeling totally exhausted- the joy, am even watching a film that might go on beyond 9pm!

SesQal · 13/08/2008 07:12

Morning
Wow - v quiet in here last night!
Hope everyone's ok this morning?

Diege · 13/08/2008 07:55

Morning SES!! All fine here - trying to watch the Olympics on BBC, though dds have other ideas . Any plans for a bike ride today? I have in mind a strenuous walk up to our local park/'zoo', but will see what the weather brings. Just wondering when to expect af after the miscarriage - I def ovulated last week, so am assuming the usual 2 weeks??

SesQal · 13/08/2008 08:00

Morning Diege
I had my first AF 2 weeks after ERPC and then next was 27 days later (I'd normally be anywhere 27-32 days). I'd assume the usual 2 weeks if I were you. I did seem to get really bad cramps for about 3 days before this last time though and was expecting it to be quite heavy but in the end it was lighter than normal. Fingers crossed we both move "fields" soon!

Didn't get a bike ride in yesterday but will try and get home from work promptly today. Tyre seems to be ok now so no excuses!

Enjoy the Olympics - I've had it on whilst getting up this morning but must go to work now. (Really, I must!)

Diege · 13/08/2008 08:19

That's SES, that's useful to know . I'm getting cramps already, but then I usually do a week or so af is due. For once I will be pleased for af to arrive! It's good to have someone in the same position to compare notes with!
Right, best get that porridge on Am pleased that I'm now in the 'stone' I want to be in, so just that final stone to go .

Diege · 13/08/2008 08:20

That should be Thanks SES!

SesQal · 13/08/2008 09:13

Just arrived at work and about to go into meeting but first a porridge question!
Do you make your porridge with milk or water or a mix of both? Also, do you add anything to it? I tend to make mine with mainly semi skimmed milk with a bit of water. I like to add some raisins and golden syrup [yum]. I think the golden syrup probably ruins any healthy eating plan tho!

Btw, if anyone told me I'd be posting about porridge I would have thought them mad! Don't think I'll ever be suprised by anything we discuss on this thread!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 13/08/2008 09:15

morning

well done diege

have agent coming around to measure house in a min
then popping to tesco and playing with playdoh later

GYo · 13/08/2008 09:27

OOoh I love porridge so hope you dont mind me butting ing

I always make it will full milk, then I find it doesnt need so much sugar adding as milk is naturally sweet. Water porridge is a waste of time, IMO

Its quite nice with a little maple syrup though too.

Morning everyone

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/08/2008 09:28

morning all!!

your day sounds busy tink. Playdoh sounds fun too!!

DH and I are having the early afternoon to ourselves, My sister and her bf are taking the kids to a soft-play/jungle jim sort of place... think we're going to see the mummy film and maybe have some KFC.... i've got a need to have a twister!!! (potential craving that may cost an arm and a leg!! haha!!)

Where's NJ been the last few days?? she's missed my BFP!!! (like thats all thats happened on here!! )

GYo · 13/08/2008 09:34

I was wondering that about NJ- anyone got an email contact with her.

Silence is very unlike her. Hope all ok....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/08/2008 09:37

no i haven't got email contact..... oh unless its on her FB page- i'll see shall i??

also forgot to say all sounds good for you LB its so reassuring to see the scan isn't it!!

Diege · 13/08/2008 09:38

Mmm Kfc Glaskham..can you bring me back a fillet tower burger with no mayo please? .
Sounds a good day TINK!
SES, re porridge, I am a disaster zone . I burnt the pan this morning - just can't get to grips with quantities and am too lazy to get the measuring jug out each time . When I do make it I use skimmed milk (just cos that's all I usually have in - agree GYP's full-fat milk is best). I spoon in some jam and usually chop in some strawberries. Was yummy this morning, but did have a rather off putting burnt flavour .

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 13/08/2008 09:46

Diege- will try and remember the fillet with no mayo for you...

Just emailed NJ- told her she's not allowed to be AWOL!!
