Oh, one other thing, ladies.

What's the advice on flying in the first trimester, as DF and I have booked to go to Spain in a couple of weeks. I looked in my "Rough Guide" and it said not to fly if you've had a vaginal bleed. Is that any bleed, including implantation bleeding?

scully · 01/08/2008 12:05

I would think you're fine to fly Yarnie, as long as nothing happens between now and then. I flew with both pregnancies, also had no complications with either beforehand to even have me consider not doing it
Hope your df is feeling ok
Emmsy, we had another chilly morning but then it reached 27deg during the day, was gorgeous and sunny Ask me in 20yrs though, when global warming is really taking effect, might not like the warm sunny weather then
Great the scan went well Fruity
Have some more acupuncture tomorrow, with af due Wed, I know what she will be focussing on

mibbes · 01/08/2008 13:39

Congrats Ei fab news !
Kate it dawned on me this morning that my 'chin up' comment may have seemed very insensitive given your scan today, so sorry I meant itin relation to your worrying over potential ttc issues. Big hugs for today - am thinking of you xx
Yarnie I have flown several times and I had a bleed - didn't see anything on the internet that advised otherwise. Check with GP if you are worried though.

FruitynNutty · 01/08/2008 15:19

Afternoon ladies

Ei I bet your so so so happy! Congratulations

Kate I know I've been completely self obsessed just lately but I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you. I have no experience of what you've been through but I really really feel for you. {{{{{{big hugs}}}}}}

Yarnie I know nothing about flying in the 1st trimester I'm afraid. What a shame you didn't get a picture of you LO Just get loads at the next scan, plus a DVD

Sparkly your charts looking rather fab, how re you feeling?

The only news with me is I am absolutely shattered. I feel like I'm in a bubble world. Luckily I have no mindees today so I've managed to get in a nap this afternoon. Just woke to feed Button DS has been watching DVD's for about 3 hours Robots and now Toy Story. I just haven't the energy to argue with him about the amount of time he spends in front of the TV.

I just realised yesterday we're supposed to be going to a wedding on Sunday I thought (or rather hoped) it was at the end of August. DP's going to Brighton for the weekend so I've had to apologize for his absence. I'm hoping they can cancel his meal . Also I've just found out children aren't invited (oh joy) so I can't even take DS! So it'll be me on my own going to a wedding where I only know the Bride and Groom and can't drink. What fun! I think I'll just go to the service and meal then leave as there's no point in me staying for the reception as I'll be sat in a corner bored out of my brain and probably will fall asleep on a chair

I signed up with a babysitting agency called "Sitters" not so long ago and I have my 1st job on Sat night. It's really crap money but at least it's regular work. We really really need the extra money at the moment. Mainly to pay for wedding presents! We still haven't got anything for our friends who got married a month ago (DP was best man too )and I've gotta get something for the one at the weekend. It's all money money money isn't it

How's everyone else today?

Sparkly08 · 01/08/2008 17:20

Afternoon all,
Have been on a day trip with DD to a farm today where we fed baby lambs..they were sooo cute but I forgot my camera. . So pleased it stayed dry though.
High temp for me this morning but no higher than it normally is at this part of the month.

Fruity Love you scan pic. It's so cute. Can't stop having a peek.
Mollie Sorry to read that your MS is sticking around. It's fine to moan about it!! You must be feeling dreadful [hug].
Ei Not long until your first day. I'm so pleased for you! How is temp? I'm not symptom spotting - I don't seem to have any this month! [grr]
Emmsy When are you going? have a fab time. Make sure you spend lots of time relaxing or you'll have me to deal with!!!
Yarnie Bet your glad it's the end of the week. Hope your DP is ok. I was meant to have 2 of mine removed but chickened out . I think you'd be fine to fly. I flew twice when pg with DD. The bleed shouldn't make a difference but speak to your MW if you're concerned. Have a lovely weekend.
Scully Symptoms please?
Mibbes How are you feeling lovely? haven't 'seen' you very much recently.

Sparkly See another exciting day in Sparklyland, you always seem to be doing cool things!
Mibbes You must have an awful lot of Boots points with that lot in your shopping basket. Thanks for the comprehensive list though - that's brill.
Kate Hope today was OK and better than you expectations.
Yarnie Glad to see that things seem to be back on track, not sure about flying as not one of the things that I had to obsess about (too busy obsessing about tea/coffee/eggs/having my hair dyed/fish and whether my meat was cooked enough - it is a bloody minefield of paranoia!
Fruity I didn't realise you had PCOS, my BF has just got pg and she has it - no treatment either. Didn't know she was pg until 10.5 weeks. Can you imagine not having to worry for 10.5 weeks!

Hi to everyone else and thanks for asking about my mum - I have been a bit of a chicken and not done anything yet - but I still feel pretty annoyed so am letting it lie for a bit. Just had a lovely chat with my brother though and he reassured me that she has been the same with him and she can be a bit of a nightmare so I feel good now because I figure if anyone else should know-it's him. I'll keep you posted though. Am off to my Dad's for dinner for some easy parent/daughter time!
Ohh BTW Mibbes Don't mind hearing about ms - don't feel bad.

mibbes · 01/08/2008 19:12

teehee no MS here (thankfully) did you mean Mollie ?

Sparkly Your chart looks good - only 3 days to go before we can hopefully get excited for you - any plans to test or are you being good ? I am very well thanks for asking hun. Feel totally well, have been very lucky, even the heartburn is infrequent and easily stopped with rennies. Read my 20 wk scan notes last night and apparently I have an anterior placenta which means it is at the front - explains the lack of movement , I'm only getting slight twitches once in a while.

Ei what on earth is going on with your chart ? Do you think you've ov'd ?

Kate hope today went as well as can be expected {{hugs}}

Fruity I admire to your guts going to wedding alone, I'm sure you'll get chatting to some lovely people (assuming you talk as much in RL as you do on here }

Teehee yes I do have PCOS. It's a bugger for TTC We tried for 11 months and I only had 5 cycles. One of which had to be induced with progesterone as AF was no where to be seen. In fact I was about to have another scan and see the consultant I reckon I only ovulated twice in all that time so I count myself extremely lucky to be where I am now nd I still can't quite believe it 10.5 weeks wow! So she only has a 30 weeks pregnancy then I bet she's overjoyed! I didn't know with DS until I was 7 weeks which was nice. The only reason I tested so early this time round was because I got implantation spotting
Have fun with your Dad

cricri · 01/08/2008 21:03

Just catching up with the thread
Back to the UK tomorrow so back to normal, although will be sad to leave France
Kate Hope you're OK this evening and that your friend was able to stay with you. Hope everything went as well as it could today (((hugs))) to you.
Ei Congratulations on your job, that's wonderful news
Emmsy Hope you have a lovely holiday. I'm sure it won't be that relaxing from what you've told us but hopefully you'll have fun and the weather will be kind to you. Don't forget to take it easy whenever you can
Fruity Posted on the other thread but great news about your scan Hope the wedding goes OK.
Mibbes Funny you should mention anterior placenta as mine is too - I was looking through my notes just now after a discussion on our AN thread and saw it on my scan report but couldn't quite remember what it meant. The movements will become stronger - I felt the baby move from the outside at 24 weeks and have been feeling it regularly ever since
2 days to go until 4D scan Will let you all know how it went on Sunday.
Hope everybody is OK and have a good weekend.

mibbes · 01/08/2008 22:54

OOh thanks for that cricri am glad that I may start feeling more movement soon as I really want DP to 'cop a feel' of the miblet !

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 01/08/2008 23:41

hi ladies
emmsy have a lovely holiday
teehee hope you had a nice time with your dad
mibbes i had an anterior placenta with DD and i started feeling movements from the outside from around the 22 week mark you will all of a sudden notice a footprint sticking out of your belly i will find a photo of one i saw a while back and post it it is amazing and rather freaky aswell!! its not me but still a great photo!!(sounds cryptic but you will get what i mean lol)
sparkly we took DD to a farm the other day and bought goat feed and the bloody goat stole the bag of feed and ate it all paper bag and all DD was totally freaked out and quite angry ablout it as the goat wasnt sharing with the others
fruity hi i hope you are doing well
yarnie i think the bleeding in preg thing when talking about flying is more aimed at those who had a very heavy bleed and are considered high risk. if you are worried speak to your midwife or gp about it aswell
scully hi
HTGG are you back from your happy holidays yet?
hi to anyone else i have missed
well as far as i can tell i still havent Oved as my temp was low this morning aswell i have had low right sided pains today though so i am hoping for a high temp in the morning especially as i am making DH perforn on tap this cycle

I have never looked in the mirror to see if I can see body parts protruding, may give it ago when I come home, I agree, it is also a little weird, but am still intrigued

Hope everyone is well, and remains well for the next 2 weeks. I am taking my laptop with me, but am unsure if I will be able to get a Wifi connection, good luck to all the girls who will be on or are already on the 2WW xxxx

mibbes · 02/08/2008 08:48

OMG Ei am absolutely at the picture ! Thanks for telling me about your experience - I actually felt it move this morning, a few obvious kicks and when I pressed both hands on my belly I felt it ! I ran downstairs and lay on the sofa so DP could feel it and nothing - poor DP looked so disappointed Och well I'm sure he'll feel it soon enough [wink
Emmsy have a fab holiday - hope you get logged in
Sparkly today's temp is...?

Sparkly08 · 02/08/2008 10:01

Morning ladies,
Temp still high but expect it to drop over the next few days ready for AFs arrival. I had a strange dream last night that I was trying to breastfeed twins in my kitchen and was getting really upset that I couldn't do it...my mother is a twin so I supposed there's a chance I could have them.
Tee Did you have a good time with your dad?
Mibbes My chart always looks good at this time of the month. I did test 2 days ago in the afternoon to feed my habit but have decided to wait after another BFN. [grr] at myself. I suffered from heartburn and used to drink Gaviscon from the fridge in the middle of the night. I found that a glass of milk before bed helped too.
Cri Bet you're really excited for 4D scan. Please post some pics if you get the chance.
Ei Did you have a high temp this morning? Is that pic real?? I'm not sure sure lol.

Yes mollie I was talking about your ms - sorry was in kind of a rush and was also really knackered yesterday - It think it's because I worked 4 days last week (don't I sound pathetic when it is only for 4 hours!

I had a lovely time at my Dad's and did speak to him about the drama with Mum, which is a little unfair when they are divorced but both him and my stepmum have known her for years so I figured they would be insightful. It was good to chat to him and my big bro and they both seemed to be of the opinion to ignore it and rise above the dramatics. Although I think my Dad was and kept saying "I don't understand, what ever has got into her" (my sentiments exactly)

Anyway had a message from her on my phone today. Totally normal "hi, how's work, just wanted to see how you are and if you need to come round for a meal" Weird Weird Weird !

So am going to have a pleasant weekend. Just had my chimneys swept (and that is not rude, I have had the chimneys swept! ) and am going to do a few chores and then might go to the cinema as this is the first dull day we have had for ages.

Mibbes Do we need to lock your tests away in a vault to stop the itchy fingers

Emmsy Have a fab holiday- fingers crossed for plenty of

Kate How are you?

Big hellooos to everyone else-hope you are all having a great weekend

scully · 02/08/2008 12:15

Naughty Sparkly, no more testing for a few more days No symptoms here to report, trying not think about it actually, not always with much success though Acupuncturist was happy with everything today though so that was reassuring.
Mind you, dd2 was such a little moo for most of the afternoon that I do occasionally think I must be mad to want to increase the noise and mess levels around here
Have a relaxing break Emmsy
Hi Ei, how are you?
Hope the wedding isn't too boring on your own Fruity.
I did some more Xmas shopping this afternoon, always a treat to go to the shops on my own, even if I am shopping for other people
Hi to everyone else, have a nice weekend

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 02/08/2008 18:24

teehee I'm not testing missus - am 22 weeks PG ! You are defo showing signs of baby-brain ...

scully · 03/08/2008 04:47

Yep Ei, af is due on Wed, so first time since Feb that pregnancy is a possiblity
Lovely day here today, so did a load of housework and then did some weeding and picking up dog poo in the back yard dh wanted the bloody dog but of course he often isn't around when the dd's want to go out and play. He's been at work since 8am this morning (is now 1.45pm) but still, between the dog hair and dog poo, and chewed items, I'm a bit over our dog right now

teeheelaydee · 03/08/2008 07:54

OMG - What is wrong with me, am going to go away until brain works again and will also re-read thread.

Please don't encourage me to imagine anymore symptoms as AF due Tues and was so knackered yesterday could have gone to bed at 8:30.

Morning everyone-enjoy your sunday

Sparkly08 · 03/08/2008 09:18

Hi all,
A bit of a temp drop for me today and a massive spot on my chin so no doubt that AF is on her way. I haven't tested though and will hold off until Tuesday if temp is still high...really don't think it will be though .
This is also supposed to be our last month of TTC. I have so much on come the new term and think I would really struggle through if I was pregnant. I might stop temping for a few months and hope that I end up with an EDD of June/July. I suppose I should talk to DP about it really.
On a lighter note I went out to spend some time with my sister last night - only to the cinema to watch an early showing of BabyMama (in true TTC style) and then for a Nandos. I don't usually get out in the evenings so it was great.

Morning Ladies! How is everyone! Quiet on here this weekend which has been quite nice as it hasn't taken me hours to catch up like it normally does!

Scan was fine on friday though was so so nervours/generally stressed about it that I felt sick all day and could quite easily have burst into tears at any given moment. I really think I am going to look into this hypnotherapy thing a bit more, if that is how I feel about going for a scan on CD4 when I know there is no way I can be pg, what on earth would I be like at a scan at 7 weeks to see if there is a hearbeat...???? Doesn't bear thinking about. But the scan lady was lovely. Said it took her 5 pg's to have 3 children, though both her mc's were quite early. Also said she was surprised to see me as they don't normally investigate after 2, I said it was because the consultant was worried I was turning into a bit of a head case! Think she thought I was joking though (nope! )

Seeing how confused we're all managing to get about who is where ttc wise at the moment, would it be worth doing an additional list? Will start one now, apologies to anyone I miss off, also feel free to ignore it if you think it's a rubbish idea!

Morning [yawn] I can't believe the time I'm usually the 1st one up in here!`
Well, the babysitting went well. I managed to stay awake by watching Bridget Jones, Mock the Week and a bit of Muriel's Wedding. The little girl was gorgeous and the Mum, well, I was dead jealous of. She's about my age (if not younger) and she has a gorgeous little house (obviously not short of cash) she's also absolutely stunning and 5 months pregnant. I couldn't believe her figure . Just a very neat bump . Some people have great genes don't they?
I suppose I'll have to get ready for this wedding in a bit.

Sparkly all is not lost yet! Maybe stopping temping for a bit will help. It did for Ei and me. Your evening sounds lovely. What was Babymama like? Worth seeing? or wait for DVD?

Kate Very nice try there But I'm getting confused with it already. I think because I don't recognise my name or Ei's. I forget ei is now queenyei and I'm now fruitynnutty Doesn't take much to get me confused
It's quite handy to have the BFP list separate from the waiting list don't you think? Saves confusion?
Maybe it's just me. Sorry
I'm so pleased your scan went well on Friday

Scully best of luck for this cycle!

Ei how strange to have these symptoms right now I can't make any sense of your chart. Are you sure you haven't ov'd yet? Your temps seem to be mostly at the higher end at the moment?

yarnie how are you feeling pregnancy buddy?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 03/08/2008 14:51

hi ladies
kate im glad your scan went well good idea on the list aswell as it does get confusing at times i do agree that all the preggos should go at the bottom or on a separate list though i think everyone just didnt add themselve onto thwe original list if they werent tempinbg but it would be nice if we were all together i agree
fruity im not sure if i have oved or not but me and DH are bding just in case do you thin k i might have oved already? if so then when? i have a little inkling about when but as my temps have been low then high on alternating days then i dont know
sparkly sorry about your temp drop but as you know that doesnt necessarily mean what you think it does i hope you wake to a super high temp tomorrow and get a bfp on tuesday that way you wont have an excuse to leave us and you will also be over the moon obv
a big hello to everyone else
im off to see batman on the pics tonight with my best mate i cant wait as i have been told it is sooooo good
