Kate Me too

kate2179 · 02/09/2008 22:41

Mollie I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!

We're either optimistic (probably a good thing) or psychotic (generally considered less good )

MollieMooma · 02/09/2008 22:44

Thought you were going to bed naughty lady, I haven't got work in the morning
We'll swop dreams tomorrow

FruitynNutty · 03/09/2008 07:27

Morning ladies, just showing my face before I go off to pick up the mindee with the self absorbed parents. Oh how I love to see them 1st thing in the morning

Mibbes I have no idea which bag, they're both delicious! I had a Tods bag that looked like that once (it was given to me 2nd hand by my lovely Nanny family years ago) I think Tan will go with most things and wont go out of fashion.

Georgie I hope you had a lovely anniversary

So you all think that £70 a week is good going then? I am pleased because DP and I had a row about it yesterday morning - although he has since apologized for being grumpy. I agree that £70 is very reasonable for a weekly shop I've managed to get it down to £60 this week by getting loads of Tesco basics stuff just to prove a point to DP. I bet he moans that everything tastes awful I even ordered basics brown bread but changed it last night as I couldn't bare not to have my lovely fresh granary bread

Speak later!

NarkySparkly · 03/09/2008 09:23

It's been busy in here .

Kate How is your cold today? Mine seems to be leaving at last. Hope you're feeling better.
Mollie Lots of luck for the session today. xxx
HTGG You're such a yummy mummy, baking and all!! Thanks for the cake. Hope you had a good anniversary.
Fruity at mindees' parents! You've had nothing put trouble from them...Niece and nephew were fine. They kept DD quiet for a few hours which was nice. Space NK stuff will be on my xmas list too...but we don't have a shop in Cardiff .
Piper What a mess around. I'll be counting down the next few days with you. Good luck!!
Mibbes Red, red, you hear what I said? Reeeeeeeeeeeeedddd, red!

Hi to everyone else!!!

And finally, mibbes is a tell-tale :P .

MollieMooma · 03/09/2008 12:54

Afternoon, well I have to say so far I have had a lovely day. My first counselling session went really well, in fact really really well Apparently she is a humanistic counsellor (whatever one of those is ) but she did some emotion therapy and relaxation stuff with me and I had a really good cry and now I feel great! I can't wait for next week
Sparkly What are you and Mibbes up to??
Mibbes Your question re bags is not flippant, love distractions, especially bag related ones!
Everyone must check out our chat thread as I've posted a question on there for all
Right I'm off to iron now but I shall watch some totty whilst doing it, probably Bones on DVD that will make it seem more interesting

Mollie is now off to tell Yarnie off on the AN thread!

NarkySparkly · 03/09/2008 13:15

Glad it went well Mollie and that you feel better.
Mibbes is just telling tales. Ignore her .

Yarnie · 03/09/2008 16:34

I must admit I was a little bit scared when I read your message Mollie . I'm sorry for not posting here more often. I've had to snatch laptop time here and there. My diary is finally looking a little lighter so hopefully I can catch up with you ladies more often .

My scan is next Tuesday, Mollie. I am completely anxious about it and very glad that DF is not travelling so he can come with me.

I am very that you have your scan tomorrow, Fruity.

MollieMooma · 03/09/2008 18:07

Fruity Oodles of luck for tomorrow (not that you'll need it) Are you nervous or just excited?
Yarnie How lovely to see you, I wonder what made you visit us today hun Good thing your so busy though, keeps your mind off worrying Hope to "see" more of you and good luck for your scan too, just in case your not on again til then
Sparkly & Mibbes You've got me wanting more now??

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 03/09/2008 18:20

Hey there my lovlies. Just jumping on quickly before I bathe my two dirty kids. Mollie back to school tomorrow and Libby sulking already that she's losing her big sis for the day.

Got a surge on my OPK today so guess what I'm going to be doing tonight....and tomorrow morning....and tomorrow night . DH won't be able to walk straight!!! Please throw loads of baby dust my way.

Fruity Good luck for tomorrow honey. Will have fingers crossed that all goes well for you. And Yarnie good luck for yours next week.

Mollie May I introduce you to my very good friend 'Skinny Cow Totally Mintal' ice cream. it bloody rocks. And half the cals of Jim and Jonny's (as DH calls it!).

Mibbes and Sparkly What's going on? What am I missing? Are you plotting something? Tell me now!

Oh, and where's the other chat thread. Am being a plank and can't find it.

Wish me luck ladies. It's napalm time

MollieMooma · 03/09/2008 21:08

Georgie I've tried the chocolate lollies from Skinny Cow they are lovely!
This is the link for the other thread, please don't be offended your name is not in the title, but as I explained to Kate it was before we extended our little family
here

MollieMooma · 03/09/2008 21:10

Oh bugger Georgie you beat me to it!
Good luck with the napalming Let's hope it's your month to catch that elusive egg

mibbes · 03/09/2008 22:19

Ha ha thanks for your opinions ladies - as in RL there is almost a 50/50 split so am no further forward. teehee Funnily enough one of my friends who adores red went for tan too !

Kate so what have you chosen for pram and nursery ? You'll be forking out for both before you know it hun xx

kate2179 · 04/09/2008 09:48

Mibbes I haven't really chosen anything, I'm not that crazy.

(Very pale blue/grey walls (already done ) to go with either Cath Kidston style over blown english roses like this for a pink one, or something like this for a blue one. Bugaboo in black and sand. )

kate2179 · 04/09/2008 10:01

Hello! Think some mad woman has been using my log-in details, please ignore any crazy things she might have posted...

Georgie hope the napalming was fun My poor DH is very neglected at the moment, I just can't seem to get in the mood.... Stinking cold probably not helping. Hope you had a lovely anniversary

Mollie first day back at work today? Good luck lovely lady! We're all thinking of you, and we'll be here waiting to see how it went when you get home Really glad the counselling was helpful. Do wish I'd been offered something like that at the time... The book I was talking about was Lesley Regan's "MC - What every woman should know." It arrived yesterday from Amazon and I've already had a bit of a trawl through it. I don't think I've learnt anything new, but I found the bit on grief and her views on what to do "next time" & the importance of tlc really helpful. She advocates weekly scanning and said that in a group at her clinic for whom they hadn't been able to find any cause for their mc's so who were not given any treatment as such apart from weekly scans and a lot of tlc the success rate went up to 80% as opposed to only 50% among women in the same position who didn't come back each week. Makes you think... (not sure if what I've just written makes sense, but I hope you get what I mean

Morning Sparkly! Glad your cold is getting better, mine is still malingering Not impressed!

And hello to everyone else on this rainy miserable morning!

While I remember to say, won't be around from tonight til sunday night. We're off to ANOTHER wedding, this time in North Lincolnshire You know the area, in a big tent right where they've issued a severe weather warning for this weekend... And the best man's wife is due in 6 weeks, about 3 weeks after I would have been... Wish me luck ladies!

FruitynNutty · 04/09/2008 12:08

Hi guys,

Just back from the consultant (I've had a rant on the other thread as this is not the best place to complain!) Basically he advised me not to have a homebirth is it's not safe.

I've got my scan this afternoon at 3 so I'll let you all know how it goes later

Kate That wedding sounds like a disaster! Good luck

FruitynNutty · 04/09/2008 12:11

Mollie I have to say I'm incredibly nervous but excited at the same time. I found it quite hard to sleep. Never had this with DS. I think I thought the baby and I were invincible back then

kate2179 · 04/09/2008 12:26

Ooooooooo Fruity!!! Can't believe I forgot to wish you luck earlier I really meant to as well! Please let us know how you get on, and post some pictures of your little bean so we can see if it looks like its mummy

On another topic Fruity, am very nosey curious about how you came to be diagnosed with PCOS? Because from everything I've read you just don't look like a PCOS sufferer (superficial? me??!?) But then apparently Victoria Beckham has it, and neither does she... You probably have much better things to think abut atm that inane questions from me, just thought you might like a distraction for 30 seconds!

You're right about the wedding. Total disaster. But DH is an usher, so can't be helped. If it rains on my beautiful dress I will be very ...

FruitynNutty · 04/09/2008 13:36

Thanks Kate

I don't mind at all talking about PCOS. I know I don't look like an obvious sufferer. That consultant should have known better which is why I was ranting about him.

Basically because of my underactive thyroid and PCOS I have to try extremely hard to keep the weight off. Luckily (when not up the duff) I usually have enough will power! I also get lots of exercise as I'm forever pushing a double buggy around (I walk everywhere). It's still a struggle though. My RL friends say I'm obsessed with dieting but what they don't realise is I have to be or I'd be massive! I was really quite big at secondary school and refuse to go back to being that size. I'm also really and embarrassingly hairy. Not as bad as the woman on Embarrassing illnesses last night (did you see that? I felt so so sorry for her ) I'm constantly having to pluck and shave and (when I can afford it) get waxed. It's really depressing and quite hard to maintain but I manage.
My periods are also pretty none existent as you'll see from my mega huge cycles on my chart.
I went to my GP in Fulham years ago before DS was conceived. I told him about all my symptoms but he brushed me off saying I didn't look like I had PCOS (by that time I had lost the weight and discovered a good set of tweezers and razor!) I'm not sure if he expected me to go out with a beard to prove it Anyway I pleaded with him so he agreed to send me off for a scan.
It was just a normal ultrasound and it wasn't picked up.
Anyway, years later after DS and when we 1st started TTC no2 I went to my GP in Colliers Wood who was lovely and sent me off for another scan. This time a trans-vaginal scan. It was picked up immediately.
Anyway, it hasn't stopped me conceiving. Most people with PCOS need to have IVF and suffer recurrent MC's so I m extremely lucky not to have had either.

NarkySparkly · 04/09/2008 15:25

Hello all,
Just a very quick post from me (am having some internet problems which I'll hopefully have a chance to sort out later....)
Mollie Sorry I left you last night - it was for the same reason.
Fruity Haven't been able to get on before now but lots and lots of luck to you. Will phone you later xxx

Hi to everyone else I haven't mentioned. Will catch up in a while.

FruitynNutty · 04/09/2008 17:32

kate2179 · 04/09/2008 18:42

Hurrah for mini-fruitloop! Lovely news!

NarkySparkly · 04/09/2008 19:07

I'm back . Have updated my firefox (to a new crappy version) but at least it's working again.

Fruity So happy for you!! Did they give you your 20 week scan date?
Kate Does your cold make you voice sound really funny? I hope this weekend goes as well as it can for you.
HTGG Really hope you manage to catch the egg this month * lots and lots of babydust to you. Have you tried pre-seed yet? I got pregnant the second time we tried it - not sure if it would have made a difference but it's worth a try .

FruitynNutty · 04/09/2008 19:21

My 20 week scan is on 13th November. I'll be 21+5 by then though. When I was having DS they did it exactly on 20 weeks. How dare they make me wait
