New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

bluestarlavender · 11/08/2008 16:38

HM2J - wow, possibly only 9 weeks to go! Are you okay? I guess it's great news that the baby is doing well. You and MJIM could have your little ones around the same time at this rate!! Good luck for your scan, I hope it all goes well!

BSL x

detoxdiva · 11/08/2008 17:50

HC - sorry about the BFN, but you may have tested too early [wagging finger emoticon]. You are only dpo 11 right??? Can you hold off for another few days before doing another one?

Dpo 7 here and no symptoms to speak of....but then again I had no symptoms when pg with dd, so keeping optimistic.

Off to bath dd - back later x

detoxdiva · 11/08/2008 18:31

bsl - I agree with you about ov looking at your chart...check out the bd'ing though!!! If you are not pg this month then there's no justice in this world !!!!!

FlirtyThirty · 11/08/2008 18:34

BSL - Racing off...but in answer to earlier question. Yes - my cycles are almost always 25 days...pretty damn regular. Very occasionally 24 or 26, but nothiong wildly different.

I'm now worried about this 'short luteal phase' business...should never have 'googled' it!

F.x

majormoo · 11/08/2008 18:51

Daisy glad you have a scan to put your mind at rest.

HC sorry about the BFN-it could be too early you never know

CE glad you are feeling better. Can't remember are you having an early scan or waiting til the 12 week one?

HM2J hope it is just that you are having a big baby. Were your boys big?

Soosy what a long time to wait. There is always something to worry about isn't there.

Well the hen do was an experience. If it had been warm would have been lovely-right on the beach with an awning with twinkling lights, roaring fire and candles. However, instead it was pouring and windy. I lasted to 11.30pm which I thought was pretty good. The hen had a great time anyway. Also on the way down, I saw a helicopter circling really low over the pier which I thought was a bit odd, but was obviously looking for that drunk man on the stag do who decided it would be a good idea to jump off the pier into rough seas for a swim. Feels a bit ghoulish to have seen the event unfolding as it were.

DawnAS · 11/08/2008 19:13

OMG Majormoo, that wasn't the one on the news? There was a guy in Brighton who got swept out to sea whilst on a Stag-Do this weekend. Is that where you were?

He drowned I believe. I think he had 2 children aswell, really sad.

Flirty, I have no idea about Luteal phases, what does it mean if yours is short?

HM2J and MJIM, you ladies must be sooo excited now!! I remember my best friend telling me that once she got to 26 weeks, she felt that she could finally start to relax because chances were, if the baby was born then, it will still be Ok. Both of you ladies are way past that now - it must be such a relief!!

Hope everyone else is Ok.

detoxdiva · 11/08/2008 19:29

Flirty - keeping fingers crossed you're having an unusually long cycle. Haven't seen your chart but it sounds like you may have ov'd on Sat, which would make you dpo 2 and af not due for another 10/12 days. from what I know, the luteal phase needs to be at least 10 days long to support a pregnancy. The stress of ttc could have delayed your ov.

Majormoo - that is an awful story. Well done for staying up until 11.30pm though - I struggle to stay up that late every day!!

bluestarlavender · 11/08/2008 20:03

Flirty - sorry you might have already said...but what are the temps on your chart near the beginning that are quite high. There's no line through them, so I'm not sure what they are. DD might well be right about the stress delaying OV. Or maybe FF is right about your OV day. Don't worry too much, hun. Let's what what happens over the next week or so.

Majormoo - shame the hen night was wet, but at least the hen had a good night! I also read about that guy...not too nice! Glad you guys were all okay!

Dawn - how's the back??

DD - lol We did everything we could...but there easily could be no justice in the world! Finger crossed though!!

Evenin all,

Just to say to BSL I worried we'd started 'too soon' & compromised on quality as well. Fingers crossed for you & everyone else - this is all very exciting. x

OP posts:
bluestarlavender · 11/08/2008 20:22

Thanks for the reassurance, Mandy. DH wanted to read what I'd been writing earlier and wasn't best pleased with my 'quality' comment! I had to do some very quick explaining.

ceebee74 · 11/08/2008 21:08

Just posted a long reply and the internet crashed

Haven't got the energy to redo it but hi to everyone. We all seem to have some kind of sickness bug as DH felt poorly yesterday and was badly sick last night - in the 14 years we have been together, this was the first time I had known him to be sick without it being alcohol-related But, he is feeling better today but I feel like sh*t!! Just really lethargic and groggy and queasy! Fortunately DH has been working from home today and has been a realy gem by looking after DH for an hour and a half this afternoon whilst I had a kip! (Not quite as saintly as Mr Myjob and Mr Willmouse but, still, not bad ).

ceebee74 · 11/08/2008 21:09

Oops- that should have been 'looking after DS' of course - clearly DH was looking after himself aswell

HumphreysCorner · 11/08/2008 21:11

Flirty-don't fret over your luteal phase and do not Google.

detox-I am DPO 10 but have watery/eggwhite CM which FF says some women get before AF. Oh poo! Don't feel PG but can't remember how I felt before.

majormoo-was thinking of you on Saturday. Crikey, didn't hear about the man-how terribly sad.

Was trying to explain to DH how TTC stresses me with the ups and downs and he just doesn't get it so haven't really got much support in that department.

Love to all

DPO 11 and BFN but was slightly excited to find my temp has risen today for the first time ever on DPO 11 as it always falls. Will see what happens tomorrow-probably down to lack of sleep again. Only ever sleep when AF is here and the first week of the 2WW. Have a headache starting so if it is my migraine that means AF is imminent.

Horrible rain and have to start packing the caravan. Ho hum!

Love to all, back later.

Oh, ceebee, meant to say I hope you all feel better soon. Not with Tiscali are you?

bluestarlavender · 12/08/2008 10:33

Morning everyone!!

HC - sorry about the BFN! But the temp rise could be a promising sign!!

Ceebee - how are you feeling today??

The days are ticking by slowly on this damned 2WW. Everytime I get a little twinge or odd feeling, I am being very strict with myself and remembering last month with all my imaginary symptoms. According to my calculations I shouldn't feel any different for a good few days yet.

CE and Daisy - how are you guys doing? Great news about the scan, Daisy! I hope you see lots!

Waves to everyone else!

BSL x

ChocolateEclair · 12/08/2008 12:28

Hi ladies

BSL/HC/flirty/detox - still hoping one of you gets a BFP soon! No imaginary symptoms this month then???? Don't worry about quality - there are 2 million sperm in each 'go' so even if you are a few down there's still going to be like 1.5 million!!! Ha ha!

ceebee- sorry to hear your family and you are not feeling so good. It must be awful when the dc are ill and you have to care for them when you are ill yourself. Can grandparents help out at all?

MJIM/HM2J - could we maybe get an updated picture of your bumps? And ceebee and Juanitad for that matter? I want to see how lovely and round they are now! It will be great if you 2 have your babies at similar times after all!

majormoo - well done on lasting so long on the hen do. I can't think of anything worse than the beach in the rain!

Daisy - fantastic that you are having an early scan to set your mind at ease. Let us know how it goes ok?

I have a dr's appointment on thurs and midwife next thurs! I think the dr's is utterly pointless but MW won't see me til I have seen dr! Grrr! I might mention the possibility of an early scan though and see if he takes me seriously! 7 weeks tomorrow and all good (touch wood). Was sick twice yesterday, and again this morning. Feel pretty rotten actually but I'm not complaining!!!!

My friend (26w) is still hanging in there! Thaanks for your reassurances!

Dawn - how is the BDing going? Any sign of impending ovulation?

I saw on another thread that heebychick was not pg after all - she went to the docs. I guess she's not coming back on here though

It's chucking it down here! I went to town and am now soaked through! Had to change all my clothes! Doh!

Bellie · 12/08/2008 12:48

Hi all,

sorry to those that are temping, I am no use to you at all, as it was the one thing that I didn't do! will give you all as much support as I can in other ways though

HC - very promising about the temp rise - you are prob still too early to test really!! (I know it won't stop you though!) hope the headache is due to the weird weather rather than your migrane.

CE - raining here too - was supposed to go to the park and have a picnic with friends today, but ended up at soft paly (very hot adn busy . Got wet through too just getting from the car!
I would definately ask about the scan if you can to set your mind at ease.

Daisy when is your scan?

Off to see the midwife this afternoon - taking dd with me as no one to look after her - hope she behaves !

MrsPuddleduck · 12/08/2008 12:49

Hi all

Daisy - I have my fingers crossed for you.

Ceebee - sorry you are feeling so rough but at least DH is helping out.

CE - glad that things are going well for you - it will be reassuring to see the doctor and the midwife. I hope you get your early scan.

Bluestar - try and be patient

HC - hope the temp rise is a good sign - I have my fingers crossed for you too.

Dawn - good luck with it all - are you coming up to the fun part of the month? LOL!

MJIM - been washing any more babyclothes? I loved getting mine down from the loft and washing them second time around

H2MJ - I measured big second time around and had two growth scans. DS2 was 7lb 5oz at 38 weeks which I think was classed as OK. It depends on how the baby is lying. The growth chart is completely dependent on the baby being head down, bum up and with its back facing out. If it is not in that exact position the charts are inaccurate - according to Mr Dapaah.

Hi to everyone else!!

Nothing going on here.

Hi everyone,
Am feeling a bit more positive than last time i posted as I've had a bit more sleep!
Dawn, good luck with being "back on the horse" of TTC. Loved your wedding pics by the way. I was so chuffed with myself for actually working out how to look at the profile pics- obvious i know . There was no stopping me then.. looked at your dress pic Mandy, and initially thought, my god what an incredibly glamorous pic of Mandy, until I realised it was a magazine pic of a model wearing the dress. I'm sure it looks just as good on you though mandy!
Boring question.. how do you guys cut the various messages so that you can reply to each individually without writing it down on a piece of paper like I do? Also, don't seem to be able to bold the names - sorry bit of a computer dumbass!
Sorry re nasty BFN HC! To be honest one of the positive things about the mc is that I feel like I am not currently obsessing re TTC as I know I'm planning to wait til AF before going back on the horse. Kinda looking forward to TTC again in a way, but it is also such a bloody nightmare too - a rollercoaster as we've said before..
Light brown spotting has only just completely stopped 3 weeks and 2 days after I passed the sac. It feels like months in some ways.
Glad you're feeling sick etc CE (if that doesn't sound too mean). I'm thinking it will be soooo scary too to be pg again after mc - roll on your scan. You'll be fine though, stay chilled .
Hope you and family better ceebee. Know what you mean re wanting elective after CS. When I pg I will obviously speak to Consultant but my instinct is to go for CS again too after last emergency CS.
BSL - lol re DH affronted at your "quality" comment! I don't let DH read my comments for that reason!
Hi to Myjob, Daisy, Detox and all the others
waves to all!!!
knax xx
p.s. Knax makes up for her usual lack of posts as she is being a bit skivy at work today, whereas never have much time at home!
