New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

OP posts:

Morning all,

Mandy, hope you had a lovely evening, wow 1st Anniversary! We are celebrating our 10th this year!!

Dawn, sorry that things havn't settled down yet, it sounds as though you just need to give your body a little bit more time. It must be frustrating though, when you have decided to try again straight away. Have lots of hugs and cuddles with your dh instead.

Heeby, I hope that we all can get to the bottom of your symptoms soon. Don't worry about letting us down, it's you that we are concerned for! Hope you manage to get some answers after the blood test - how long do you have to wait?

HC - hmm maybe your mum knows!! My mum said to me the day before my +ve test, there is something going on with you - not just the loosing weight - there is something else, not sure what but there is!!!

Majormoo - wow what a wonderful couple of days it sounds like. I am trying to think of things to do with dd before beanie makes an appearance.

MJIM - it is getting exciting for us, so you must be getting really excited now - it is wonderful to be with you every step of the way!

Wellies, glad that the cm is calming down. You will have to stay till the end too, so we can see if the old wives tale is true!! I managed to find some jogging bottom cut offs with elasticated waist that got me through weeks 10-12 before I succumbed to maternity clothes!!

Waves to ce, bb, detox, bsl and everyone else!

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 08:13

Heeby, sending you bucket loads of good luck for today hun. Hoping that the news is good for you. Even if it just says that everything is fine - that will be a relief in itself.

Bellie, MJIM, DaisyJ and everyone else, thanks for all your continued support. Actually feel a bit AFy this morning. Slight cramping around abdomen and lower back. Very different to the MC pains I had and very much like AF pains. Bugger!! Oh well, normally mine only last a couple of days so I might be lucky!!

Can't believe the spots on my chin though!! They've come up like boils - about four of them! Must be the hormones settling down I guess. We've actually got DH's niece's 21st birthday on Saturday so we're going out for a family meal. Really don't want to go though with spots like this. For any of you that have ever suffered bad spots, you'll know how I feel. Makes you feel really low and miserable....

Morning ladeez

detox-I see you got your nice red crosshairs confirming OV. Don't worry about your drop today.

bluestar-you haven't put todays temp on yet so can't stalk you......yet.

Heeby-any news? Thinking of you.

Meeting my friends today at a soft play pub so morning drinks and choccy then lunch. Am I allowed to eat for 2 even though not PG? Getting to the stage where I think what is the point of dieting as I'll only put weight on soon. But that soon might be months away and like last pregnancy was over 11st before I even got PG. If I can just stay under 8st 7lb then will only be 10st 7lb at my biggest as I only gain 2 stone when PG.

Hello to everyone else. Check back later.

Good morning guys, thank you for all your support. Sadly the final test was a BFN which was as i expected to be honest. Have a Dr appt for 4.30pm so will hopefully have some idea of what happens now, i expect they will send me for a blood test and then another one in 2 days but i don't think they need look for a PG but more for what is causing me to be so crook.

anyhow i'll report back when i've been in.

dawn i am still suffering from spots after a big hormone mess up these past few months so i can totally understand! Clinique do a fab spot treatment gel, in a blue bottle, which is brilliant for calming things down. I think it's called blemish gel.

Hi to everyone (((( waves)))) to all xx

bluestarlavender · 07/08/2008 09:14

Morning everyone!

HC - chart is all updated...I got another temp rise this morning, but I think I'll need at least one more for FF to confirm OV. How are you feeling anyway...? Enjoying the evil 2WW?

I also had quite alot of EWCM last night! So the grapefruit juice must be working! Altho' it's very hard to tell due to using pre-seed and all the BDing! Mandy - you were right!

MJIM, Majormoo and Bellie - it's so nice to hear about you guys enjoying your PG! Just reading your posts makes things like the 2WW seem worhwhile! It's funny cos I really like to hear about little things like the cut-off trackie bottoms, and fitting into maternity clothes, but when I'm out and about and see lots of bumps and newborns, it makes me feel very sad!Starbucks yesterday was a mine-field of PG ladies and little babies! I guess that's where all the mums groups go to meet up! Can't wait to join one!!

Heeby - I'm so sorry for you, hun!! it must be so frustrating for you and so confusing! Hopefully the doctor can explain what's going on tomorrow.

Waves to everyone else!!

morning all

heeby - sorry about the BFN. Hopefully you will find out very soon what is causing all these strange symptoms. It still could be a pg possibly as plenty of people don't test +ve til much later! I think you probably just want to know now, whatever! Good Luck!

Dawn - brilliant piccies! A proper big white wedding hey! Your dress is amazing and how many bridesmaids?!?!?!? I still have teenage skin at times and would second the blemish gel idea. They can work even in 24 hours and will perk you up I'm sure.

HC - well, Mother's Instinct and all that!?!?! Do you think you are pg???? That's the big question! I wouldn't worry too much about your weight, because hopefully you are pg and will get nice and round very soon!

Big waves to everyone else.

Well, the morning sickness (or should I say all day sickness) has officially started! I fell asleep in the car yesterday on a 20 min journey and felt queasy literally from waking to sleeping! Not as bad today thankfully and have managed some toast!I know it's a good sign though and am secretly very pleased!

I also told my Mum and Dad yesterday! They said they thought something was going on as they didn't think they could remember me having a drink at the wedding! They weren't going to ask though, just wait to be told!!! They were really happy for us!

MrsPuddleduck · 07/08/2008 12:56

HI all

Nothing to report here, CD5 . Nevermind

Off to see Mamamia tomorrow night and then off to Cardiff for the day on Saturday, so its nice to have something planned.

Dawn - I love your photos. Did your flowergirls have bunnies rather than a posy - that's a really lovely touch!

CE - I'm really glad you have morning sickness - it is a good sign (let's hope it ends on week 12 never to return!).

HC - good job not drinking wine. I have given up on this. With DS1 I conceived just before Christmas and did a test on New Years Eve and with DS2 I conceived on holiday - it's a miracle they were born with functioning livers! LOL. In fact with DS1 I actually drank 2 extra glasses of wine the night before I tested just in case

Hi to everyone else, boys are in the garden and so need supervising!

ChocolateEclair · 07/08/2008 13:29

and I meant to say, Mamma Mia last night was FAB!!!!! I cried! Enjoy it!

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 13:52

Hello all,

My Mum made the Flowergirl dresses and their bunnies. She did all the flowers aswell.

We really did it on a budget! DH and I did all the stationery (he works for a massive photographic company so they did all the printing for free....) and I also made all the favours.

I've posted some pics of our 2 cakes - they were lovely! The main one was made by my sister's MIL and the evening one was layers of cheese - gorgeous! Decorated by my BIL who's a Chef.

We had a Casino and a Chocolate Fountain in the evening (we couldn't decide which to go for so got both!) and then to top our evening off, DH's Best-Man had asked 2 of his friends in a band, to perform our wedding song on the night, with him playing along on his guitar. We had no idea and it was just amazing!!

Oh my gosh - I feel like I'm on the wrong thread again - I should be talking about TTC!!

WelliesAndPyjamas · 07/08/2008 14:22

Always quick with the goss, me

HumphreysCorner · 07/08/2008 15:30

Dawn-fab pics of your lovely wedding and you are so glamourous.

Another Mammia Mia fan? I check every day to see if it has been released on DVD so I can watch it again and again.

Personally, I don't think I am PG as realistically I have the same symptoms I have had the last 4 months.

Having or trying to have a cuppa in peace.

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 15:50

Thanks HC.

I'm dying to see Mamma Mia but couldn't get in when I tried to go as they were full .

Hoping to go next Wednesday with the BOGOF Orange Wednesday deal. My DH and my Brother are going to see Batman and my Brother's GF and I are going to see Mamma Mia - hoorah!!

It's the waiting to find out if you're PG that's the worst bit. I'd just like to try again but I still seem to be spotting - what's that about?! It's exactly like it was before the MC, a little bit of pinky-red CM in the morning and then a little bit of brown CM in the evening. Maybe we should just BD anyway....

PS: Have you noticed that patience is NOT a virtue in world?!!

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 15:51

I meant "patience is not a virtue in my world"!

Bellie · 07/08/2008 16:37

Wow Dawn you are stunning!! Yumm cheese wedding cake (just brought cheese for 'posh' lunch tomorrow as friends coming and found that the cheshire is made with unpastuerised milk so can't eat it )

Not much to report today - the bathroom is still being done - I have made 30 cups of tea today!!

HC - when is the earliest that you will test . Waits with baited breath!

HumphreysCorner · 07/08/2008 16:47

Lol Bellie-the testing starts on Monday at 10 DPO.

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 17:38

Ooooh HC - I'll be keep everything (although hopefully not my legs if the bleeding's stopped by then) crossed for you!!

Thanks Bellie. Oooohhh I lurve cheese - it's my fave!! Hopefully I'll still be able to have a nice strong cheddar and my applewoods smoked when I get PG. There's a fab one made around here called "Afterburn". It's a local strong cheddar with chillis in it, it's lovely!!

Hmmmmm must get cheese....

FlirtyThirty · 07/08/2008 17:47

Hello experienced ladies...can someone help me...?!

Can someone tell me what exactly a 'sustained thermal shift' is...how high should it go above 'normal'? Oh, and does the rise start immediately after OVing or around the time of implantation?

Thanks!
Flirty x

PS. I too am a cheese addict!

ChocolateEclair · 07/08/2008 18:00

You are supposed to have 3 temps higher than the previous 6!

ChocolateEclair · 07/08/2008 18:15

Oh Flirty, did you have a chat with your DH? Hope it went ok if you did

DawnAS · 07/08/2008 19:02

Really sorry Flirty, I don't do temping so have no idea!! But I will take a note of responses that you get in case I decide to start using that method!!

Dawn - you look absolutely gorgeous and so so happy and the dress is just gorgeous!! Unfortunately I got married before digital cameras were invented so I can't share any wedding photos

Willmouse - can I join you in the 'hanging head in shame' corner? I did exactly the same as you when I was suspicious that I was pg with DS - because I was bleeding so much, both me and DH had given up for that month but I had an inkling due to extreme tiredness/sore boobs so I planned on doing a test but not telling DH - the night before I did it, we went out for a meal and I drunk quite a lot trying to make the most of it

Heeby - so sorry the test was BFN - I hope the doctors can come up with an answer for you soon.

Hi to everyone else

Can I put in a request that you all stop talking about Mamma Mia as I am dying to see it and no-one to go with (just call me 'billy no mates') - no babysitters so me and DH can't go together, my mum lives too far away and has already seen it twice! Am going to have to wait till it comes out on DVD but it is just not going to be the same is it???

Am shattered today - had 2 days at work where I have had to do long drives (todays was 90 minutes there and then 90 minutes back about 4 hours later) and it has really taken it out of me! Didn't help that DS woke up at midnight having thrown up in his cot so had to change sheet, grobag and pj's and then DH got up at 5.30 to catch a train to London! He is due back at about 10ish but have already warned him I will be in bed!!
