That sounds great GS- lots of thought went into that. Its funny how cats get into every situation if they can!

Ahh I love remembering this

Thought we were heading in direction of marriage but wasn?t sure when/ if he?d ask. We were moving house (to place we live in now) so it was right at the back of my mind. When we arrived at the house he gave me the key and told me to go in first to look around. I was grimacing at the awful dated lounge wallpaper when I looked down and he was on one knee with a shiny ring in a box. Were stood there for ages looking at each other then realised the poor removal men were stood outside in rain!

Love the fact that he caught me unawares- and such an original proposal idea. 

GruffaloSoldier · 28/07/2008 14:33

Aww that is nice.

I like that i had completely given up and then he did it.

I am sooo hot! Tis unbearable!

tinkisagracefulshamu · 28/07/2008 16:00

heat is ridicolous isnt it

glaskham · 28/07/2008 16:25

the heat isn't so bad here... it rained overnight so its not as sticky as it has been!! Haven't really been out today though!!

I'm getting exited for tomorrow, when i can see my little sisters baby scan pictures!!! She's got her app at 2.40 and is coming here straight after (I'm only a 15 min walk away from hospital).... her current EDD is 30th jan, i think she'll be due mid jan though... we'll see tomorrow!!

so whats everyone having for tea? I cant decide what to make for me and DH!! Kids are on chicken and vegetable space shapes with sweet potato mash... give me some inspiration!!

lardybump · 28/07/2008 16:47

Hello everyone hope you are all well... I am 10 weeks today... I am still feeling sick all day long but still managing to eat for 5000..... fat pig me YES

GruffaloSoldier · 28/07/2008 17:10

Hi

Glask, I'm not sure what we are having for dinner, DH deals with that side of things! I cook very rarely

Thats exciting about your sisters scan, how exciting!

LB, can't believe you're 10 weeks - time flies!

I am still hot and bothered - grrr!

glaskham · 28/07/2008 17:14

haha- dont blame you LB!! i'll be eating for that amount as soon as i get a BFP!! i would now if i could get away with it!!

glaskham · 28/07/2008 17:15

and yeah GS- you'd think it was my scan at how exited i am for it!!

lardybump · 28/07/2008 17:22

DP and I took dd to camber sands yesterday and she loved it. We had to drag her out of the sea kicking and screaming as she was having a lovely time in there but she was shivering so much. Built sandcastles and ate fish and chips and generally had a lovely day.

Today dd and I have just been chilling in the house as I didn't want her in the sun today (out in it all day yesterday)...

Have been feeling really tired and sick again today.... ?. Hope everyone is well and not melting too much. Storms tonight and lots of rain tomorrow!!

GruffaloSoldier · 28/07/2008 17:36

That sounds lovely LB! Yes I saw that storms were forecast - o well!

I am out on the balcony working now which is much better as getting a nice breeze. Thank goodness! Yikes I better stop complaining about the heat as I'll miss it when the rain comes!

busylady · 28/07/2008 18:03

lardybump · 28/07/2008 18:09

kookykid · 28/07/2008 18:23

Hi all!

Looks like congratultaions are in order for you, busy!!

It is still sweltering here and I have had to stay out of the sun all day as I over did it at the weekend and have VERY attractive heat rash all over my chest and shoulders... I am one hot mama right now.... Not.

So think I am on CD17ish today and only managed a GOF twice this cycle - just too darn 'ot! Have been much less stressed this month and not even using OPKs. Think it all got a bit much last time and I got quite down about it, so giving myself a break (and secretly hoping this might help with making a baby!!!).

lardybump · 28/07/2008 18:28

Kooky it only takes one little wriggler to do it so weather it is once or 100 times it doesn't matter.....

Cosmogirl · 28/07/2008 19:03

Congrats Busylady. Peeonastick.com is quite good for comparing lines.

LB - sorry to hear you are feeling sick. Is it just sicky feeling or have you actually been throwing up?

Ooo I am sooo hungry and DH hasn't even started cooking yet.....

Cosmogirl · 28/07/2008 19:05

Oh and I agree - heat is too much, especially in a stuffy office. I am glad that I will be big and pregnant in Winter. I don't cope well in the heat normally, let alone when I am carrying a baby!

m0nkeynuts · 28/07/2008 19:53

Sorry I've been AWOL of late - been SUPER busy lately!

busylady - was on peestickgallery.com and saw your test pic (recognised your username!!) - congrats!!!!

will have to read up and catch up on everyone's news!

GYo · 28/07/2008 20:25

Congrats busylady

Hi everyone - heat/tiredness/nausea dont mix!

GYo · 28/07/2008 20:27

HEy Glask- let us know how things go with the old friend! Facebook is a strange thing thing!

glaskham · 28/07/2008 20:32

It went really well actually- he arrived a couple of mins after my last post and left only 10mins ago, so we chatted away nearly 2 hrs!! it felt a bit wierd, but not as bad as i imagined!! He's my age (23) and is married to a 64 year old woman though he has 3 step-children aged from 28-35 and 7 grandchildren aged from 3-14!!! I couldn't believe it!!

We were such good friends that we always said if we never got married and had kids by 30 we'd do it together!! Was so weird knowing he's never going to have any kids of his own... but he seemed happy.

I plan to see him again sometime soon so couldn't have been that bad!!

GYo · 28/07/2008 20:50

Wow thats cool Glask.
